Carbon tax is very effective method for the reduction of greenhouse gas in building section. This study suggests the carbon tax system of building section in South Korea. Carbon tax can be classified as direct tax type and indirect tax type. The proposed carbon tax system respectively linked to secured property tax, property transfer tax and energy tax type. The carbon tax with direct tax type will make the building owner aware of the importance of building energy. Hence, the carbon tax will enhance the low-carbon structuralization of building sector. The profit gained from carbon tax in building sector must be redistributed to stakeholders in building section as incentives to secure the sustainability of the low-carbon structuralization.

To develope concrete panels suitable for the snow melting system based on renewable energy or unused temperature difference energy, highly thermal conductive concrete panels using silica stones were made. Through the comparative small-scale experiment between the general concrete panel and the highly thermal conductive concrete panel using the low temperature heat source device simulating the unused temperature difference energy, we verified the possibility of the highly thermal conductive concrete panel to maximize efficiency of snow melting system using low temperature heat source.

In Korea, there have been recently many studies to overcome weaknesses of exterior insulation in terms of workability and safety at high-rise building. And, the exterior insulation board in cast-in-place concrete form system was developed such as permanent insulation form system or integrated system for exterior insulation and wall. We utilized modified method for KS F 2762 to obtain test result for insulation bond strength in this study. Based on this method, we had measurements of bond strength for 12 cases and analyzed the result value of insulation bond strength test. In result, bond strength of EPS(expanded poly styrene, ‘B’ company) in E/F case is nearly 0.08 N/mm2(reference value of EOTA). Considering strong wind load by typhoon in Korea, it is necessary to use connection elements or to improve the bond strength of insulation by ribbed surface.

In this study, we classified a home automation system into four categories according to its functions: indoor environment control system, security system, convenience system and information system. Also we conducted a questionnaire to find out the residents' preference for the classified system. The results show that residents have a preference for the indoor environment control system which has been excluded from the mainstream of the home automation system. For the effective control of indoor environment using a home automation system, each equipment of an indoor environment control system would rather be integrated than be operated independently. We framed the home automation system for the integrated control of the indoor environment. And, through the composition examples, we evaluated the applicability of the integrated control of the indoor environment based on the home automation system.

Even though the control device of the heating system works well, insufficient water flow rates can degrade control performance and thermal comfort. The water flow rate should be adjusted appropriately to cope with the heating load of each zone. In order to solve these problems, a new balancing concept "dynamic balancing" was proposed where a balancing valve opening can be automatically modulated according to the heating condition of the room. This study analyzed the effects of dynamic balancing upon indoor thermal environment and energy consumption in a radiant floor heating system through field measurement. Under part-load conditions, the use of a dynamic balancing is a more effective method to reduce energy consumption and to prevent a cavitation. Dynamic balancing is able to help boost the temperature of a room in the start-up period.

Objectives : To evaluate the analgesic effect of electroacupuncture on Choksamni (ST36) in the collagen-induced arthritis rats and investigate the role played by serotonergic receptor subtypes $(5-HT_{1A},\;5-HT_{1B},\;5-HT_4)$ in the antinociceptive effect of electroacupuncture in the thermal hyperalgesia test. Methods : Immunization of male Sprague-Dawley rats with bovine type II collagen emulsified in incomplete Freund's adjuvant, followed by booster injection 14 days later induced collagen-induced arthritis (CIA). The thermal hyperalgesia was evaluated weekly with tail flick latency (TFL). In the fourth week after first immunization. EA stimulation (2Hz, 0.07mA, 0.3ms) was delivered into Choksamni for 20 minutes. We measured the analgesic effect of EA with TFL afer intraperitoneal injection of normal saline, WAYl00635, SB216641 and GR125487. Results : TFLs were gradually decreased in CIA as time elapsed after the immunization of arthrogenic collagen and the maximum value was reached from third to fifth week. EA stimulation on ST36 inhibited chronic inflammatory pain induced by CIA. The analgesic effect of EA was inhibited by pretreatment of $5-HT_{1A}$. antagonist (WAYl00635), $5-HT_{1B}$ antagonist (SB216641) and $5-HT_4$ antagonist (GR125487). Conclusion : Electroacupuncture has the analgesic effect on chronic inflammatory pain and its mechanism was mediated by $5-HT_{1A}$, $5-HT_{1B}$ and $5-HT_4$.
개별 난방방식에서의 배관 내 절정 유량 및 압력유지에 관한 연구

For the more comfortable thermal environment in residential buildings, it was necessary for variable components like as automatic flow limiting valves and/or balancing valves in hydronic system. And, these components had an effect on flow-rate and pressure inside pipe. In this case, the incompatibility between the design for the heating system and the selection of equipment was the causes of several problems in heating pipe network. In this study, we peformed measurements and analyses of flow rate and pressure inside pipe for radiant floor heating in residential buildings through field surveys and experiments in order to find out the actual conditions and problems. On the basis of this, we suggested the approach for the optimal flow-rate and pressure maintaining inside pipe in individual heating system.
