Analyzing Distorted Oriental Images in Psy's Music Videos

2012년 싸이의 ‘강남 스타일’이 이루어낸 국제적 성공은 우리 국민에게 큰 기쁨과 자부심을 안겨주었다. ‘강남 스타일’의 성공 특히 난공불락과 같았던 서구 시장에서의 성공은 우리나라 역사상 전무후무한 일이었으며, 이를 바탕으로 우리는 한류의 세계적 성장을 꿈꾸었다. 그러나 ‘강남 스타일" 이후 그가 발표한 ‘젠틀멘(Gentlemen)’과 ‘행오버(Hangover)’와 같은 작품은 ‘강남 스타일’을 모방하는 것에 그침으로서 한류의 지속적인 발전을 바라던 우리에게는 큰 실망감을 안겨주었다. 본 연구는 ‘강남 스타일’의 성공 요인과 더불어 ‘젠틀멘’, ‘행오버’에서 반복되고 있는 여러 요소들 특히 이미지의 반복에 관하여 연구하고자 한다. 지금까지 ‘강남 스타일’의 성공요인에 관하여 많은 의견들이 있었지만 본 연구는 그의 성공원인을 조금 다른 관점에서 재해석해 보았다. 특히 그의 뮤직 비디오 속 싸이가 창조하고 그의 후속곡들에서도 반복되고 있는 이미지에 관한 재해석이 필요하다. 서구 사회는 오랫동안 시각중심적인 문화를 지속시켰고, 시각적인 자극에 큰 영향을 받으며 발전해 왔다. 이러한 그들의 문화를 감안할 때 저자는 싸이의 이미지가 서양인들이 이미 가지고 있던 동양 특히 동양인 남성의 이미지와 크게 일치하였고, 이로 인해 형성된 친밀성이 ‘강남 스타일’의 성공요인으로 작용하였음을 주장하고자 한다. 이에 대한 밑받침으로 에드워드 사이드의 ‘오리엔탈리즘’을 근거로 들었다. 또한 그의 후속곡 ‘젠틀맨’과 ‘행오버’에서 반복적으로 사용되고 있는 이미지의 반복에 관하여 아도르노의 ‘문화 산업론’을 바탕으로 고찰해 보았다. Korea"s singer, Psy enjoyed a tremendous popularity throughout the world after making a big hit with "Gangnam style". Especially, His success in the western was a great honor and joy to Koreans because it was unprecedented and made us feel proud of him. However, after "Gangnam style", His next songs, "Gentlemen" and "Hangover", were just appearing to be repetitions of "Gangnam style" in various ways. This study is focusing repeated Images in Music Videos of "Gangnam Style", "Gentlemen" and "Hangover". We all agreed with that the important part of his success was funny images in his Music Videos which is representing Asian men. Nevertheless, they are not identical with typical Asian men, even it is opposition of it, Westerners are so enthusiastic about it. This study started to question about the way they look at Asian men and Which point of Psy"s Images made them so exciting. Sight is the most crucial part to understand the world in western culture. Westerners are traditionally so used to understand something through the vision. As considering their culture, we can ask the reason of their enthusiasm on funny images in Psy"s Music Videos and the reason that he is using it repeatedly. This study would like to prove the reason based on Orientalism and Culture Industry theory.

대추 메탄올 추출물의 페놀성 화합물 함량과 항산화 효능

대추의 페놀화합물 함량과 항산화 효능을 알아보기 위하여 특초(大棗: 대조), 상초(中棗: 중조), 약초(小棗: 소조) 세종류의 대추를 메탄올에 추출한 용액과 물에 침지한 후 메탄올로 추출한 용액을 동결 건조하여 총 페놀화합물 함량, 전자공여능, 산패유도기간을 측정하였다. 대추의 총 페놀화합물 함량은 메탄올에 추출한 약초, 상초, 특초가 각각 326.46 ㎎%, 223.13 ㎎%, 158.06 ㎎%이었고 물에 침지한 후 메탄올에 추출한 약초, 상초, 특초의 함량은 각각 113.23 ㎎%, 81.46 ㎎%, 72.78 ㎎%이었다. 전자공여능은 BHT 0.02% 첨가구보다 더 우수한 것은 물에 침지한 후 메탄올로 추출한 특초의 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0% 첨가구와 상초와 약초의 각 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0% 첨가구 등 총 22개의 시료이었다. 그리고 δ-tocopherol 0.02% 첨가구와 같거나 더 우수한 시료는 물에 침지한 후 메탄올 추출한 상초 1.5, 2.0%와 약초 1.0, 1.5%등 총 8개의 시료이었다. 산패유도기간은 대추 시료의 첨가 농도가 증가함에 따라 산패유도기간도 증가하였으며 BHT 0.02% 첨가구보다 산패유도기간이 더 우수하거나 비슷한 시료는 물에 침지한 후 메탄올에 추출한 상초 1.5, 2.0%와 약초 1.0, 1.5, 2.0%를 첨가한 것과 메탄올 추출물인 특초 2.0%와 약초를 2.0% 첨가한 것이었다. 대추의 항산화 효능은 물에 침지한 후 메탄올 추출한 약초가 가장 우수하였으며 약초추출물의 동결건조 시료는 식품첨가물로 사용할 수 있는 가능성이 있다고 생각된다. The antioxidative capacity of methanol extracts prepared from jujubes (Zizyphus jujuba) were investigated by measuring total phenolic compounds, electron donating ability and induction period on lard. The extracts of large, medium and small jujubes of 80% methanol extracts (methanol extracts) and soaking in the water before 80% methanol extracts (water-methanol extracts) were lyophilized. Total phenolic compounds of small, medium and large jujube of methanol extracts were 326.46 ㎎%, 223.13 ㎎%, 158.06 ㎎% and that of water-methanol extracts were 113.23 ㎎%, 81.45 ㎎%, 72.78 ㎎%, respectively. The Electron donating ability for the water-methanol extracts added samples of large (1.5~3.0%), medium and small jujube (1.0~3.0%) were superior to the 0.02% BHT added sample. On the induction period, all samples with jujube extracts were exhibited higher Antioxidant Index (AI: Induction period of lard with jujube extracts divided by induction period of lard) than that of the control and the water-methanol extracts were more effective than the methanol extracts on the antioxidative capacity for the lard. This result indicated that two lyophilized extracts of jujubes showed excellent free radical scavenging ability and long induction period on lard.

A study on cultural revitalization using local idle facilities

문화예술은 사람들의 창의력을 향상시켜 정서적인 함양과 함께 우리의 문화체험 욕구를 충족시켜 주는 중요한 매개체라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 문화예술은 오늘날에 이르러 한류 등을 통하여 전 세계에 퍼지고 있으며 이는 자연히 최고의 부가가치를 창출하는 산업으로서 자리 매김을 하고 있다. 하지만 급속한 공업화 및 산업화의 발전은 공장 및 설비산업의 쇠퇴로 인한 자연의 훼손, 화석연료의 사용으로 인한 공해 및 주변 환경 훼손 등 많은 부정적인 원인도 제공을 하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 산업화 및 공업화로 인해 버려진 유휴공간을 이러한 문화예술을 위한 복합공간으로 적극적으로 활용하여 지역사회의 이미지개선과 관광수업의 극대화를 위해 필요한 요인은 무엇인지를 알아보았다. 그 결과 먼저 요인분석을 통해 유형성을 제외한 총 6개의 요인을 통해 실증분석이 이루어 졌다. 그 결과를 신뢰성, 확신성, 공감성은 긍정적인 영향을 준다는 결과를 제시하였으나 대응성은 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 경제적 효과의 경우 고객만족에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. Culture and art can be said to be an important medium that enhances people"s creativity and satisfies our desire for cultural experience as well as emotional cultivation. These arts and culture are spreading all over the world through Hallyu, etc. to this day, and it is naturally positioned as an industry that creates the highest added value. However, rapid industrialization and development of industrialization also provided many negative causes, such as damage to nature due to the decline of factories and equipment industries, pollution and damage to the surrounding environment due to the use of fossil fuels. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the factors necessary for improving the image of the local community and maximizing tourism classes by actively utilizing the idle space abandoned due to industrialization and industrialization as a complex space for culture and art. As a result, empirical analysis was conducted through a total of six factors excluding typology through factor analysis. The results showed that reliability, certainty, and empathy had a positive effect, but responsiveness did not. In addition, the economic effect was found to have a positive effect on customer satisfaction.

A Study on the SMART Tourism Information Utilization in Korea

The purpose of this study is to investigate how smart tourism is applied to hotels and residences using ICT in Korea. Smart tourism is similar often used as a concept such as u-tourism, e-tourism, and digital tourism but the most similar of ubiquitous. This is reflecting to the fact that the recent trend of tourism has been decreasing from the large scale to the individual but the customers demand has been increasing, so we have examined how the hotel and the residence are adapting this situation. As a results, hotels and residences in Korea are reflecting to improve work process and remodeling of customer service.
