The purpose of this research is to investigate effects of different fluid ingestion on physiological metabolism, reaction time, and breath alcohol concentration after alcohol consumption For this study, seven male college students were divided into three groups as follows; alcohol consumption only (A(, water only (AW), and ion fluid consumption after the reaction time and recovery of breath alcohol concentration in AI(p<0.05). From this research, we could concluded that drinking ion fluid after alcohol consumption might draw positive effects on reaction time and recovery of the breath alcohol concentration. On the basis of these results, it is useful to diminish the concentration of alcohol quickly in the body and keep the body`s balance with ion fluid consumption that contains carbohydrate and electrolyte.
녹차에서 추출한 폴리페놀과 비타민 복합체가 운동중 흰쥐의 항산화 효소활성에 미치는 영향

Exercise increases the generation of oxygen free radical an lipid peroxidation. Polyphenol and vitamin C, E are known to prevent lipid peroxidation during exercise. Among the known polyphenol, the polyphenol extracted from Green tea as used has the similar effect of antioxidant. Therefore we examined the effects of polyphenol or vitamin complex(vitamin C+E) on antioxidants enzymes activities in rat (N=40). All rats were exercise training on the treadmill for 6weeks (25 m/sec for 1hour). They were administered 5% of polyphenol and 50㎎ of vitamin C+E before the exercise, during whole period of the experiment. Administration group (PA: polyphenol administration, VA; vitamin complex administration, PVA; polyphenol & vitmin complex administration) and theother group was administered the same amount of water at the same time point (CON). Oneway ANOVA was performed as the statistical analysis. This study analyzed whether oxidative stress could be relieved by taking polypheonl, non-enzymatic antioxidant and vitamin C and E complex during long running exercise. Long-term polyphenol administration made SOD increase in liver and the activation of SOD is higher in red muscle than in white muscle in gastrocnemius. Furthemore it;s imporatant to verifty the mechanism of antioxidase by non-enzymatic antioxidant about oxidative injury in case of exercise at the maximun as well as check the effect of antioxidant by the activity of GPX or catalase.
4주간의 유산소성 훈련 후 단기간 detraining시 식사내용이 혈중지질성분 및 체지방량에 미치는 영향

Many athletes have experienced gaining weight, especially body fat, after retiring their athletic life. We investigated the effect of different diet supplication during detraining periods after short-term aerobic exercise on the blood lipids and body composition in rats. Forty-nine SD rats were trained by application of treadmill run 4 wks. After the traininng periods, they were ingested different diet that Normai diet as the control (No), high carbohydrate (HC), and high fat (HF) with the same calorie (105 Cal) for 7d or 15d of detraining periods. Body weight,stered fat (BF), blood glucose, total cholesterol (TC). HDL-C, LCD-C, triglyceride (TG), and liver glycogen were analyzed with Lo`s methods. BF was significantly lower in the HF at 15d of experiment compared to the other group (P<.05). TG was significantly high in the HF and HDL-C was statistically increased in the No group (p<.05).LDL-C, however, was Not significantly different between groups and trials. These result suggested that the importance of diet composition during detraining periods have to emphasized to the athletes to maintain their physical fitness. Even though HF ingestion has better effect of body fat accumulation, it might causes hyperlipidemia for days. Therefore. more researches are needed for the future.
운동훈련과 녹차음용이 고지방식이 흰쥐의 혈중지질 및 항산화시스템에 미치는 영향

Green tea polyphenol is widely known to have an antioxidant effect in human and rats. Polyphenol, which extracted from green tea, has bitter taste and hard to gain. Therfore, in the present study, green tea was used as the supplement itself. Thirty two rats were divided into control (CON) and high fat fed (HF) group, and they were sub-grouped as water as a placebo (W) and green tea (GT) ingestion group, respectively. They have exercised on the treadmill and fed 43% of fat diet or normal diet for 5 weeks. Green tea, packed with the leaf, was solved in the hot water (85℃) for 5 min and 100㎖ was supplied every 8 A.M. Blood TC, HDL-C, and TG were analyzed using enzymatic methods and LDL-C was calculated by reported previously. SOD and MDA were analyzed to prove antioxidant effect of green tea. Body weight and food consumption were not significantly different between groups. TC and HDL-C were significantly between CON and HF group (p<0.05). TG was significantly lower in GT of HF group (p<0.05). MDA content was significantly lowed in GT in HF group (p<0.05). These results suggested that green tea ingestion lowers the lipid peroxidation and risk of obese when HF diet fed rats.
