Increased incidence of myocardial infarction, arteriosclerosis and hypertension in oral contraceptive steroids users has been recognized as serious problem. Evidence have been accumulated that oral contraceptive steroids cause an increase in serum lipid levels, mainly triglyceride as well as an increase in serum cholesterol concentration in some women. Effect of oral contraceptives on serum lipids have been predominantly confirmed in Europian and American women. It should be emphasized that effects of contraceptives may he influenced by differences in nutrition, climate, socioeconomic status and race. The present study was, therefore, attempted to determine the effect of oral contraceptive steroids on serum lipid levels in Korean women and also to demonstrate whether the duration of pill treatment may affect serum lipid levels. Ten women, who had never taken contraceptive steroids, served as a control. One hundred women on combined oral contraceptive steroids were grouped according to the duration of pill use: duration of less than one year(14 women), 1-2 years(12 women), 2-5 years(29 women), 5-10 years(33 women) and more than 10 years(13 women). Serum levels of cholesterol, phosholipid and triglyceride were measured by enzymatic method, Fiske-SubbaRow method and Sugiura method respectively. The results obtained are as follows; 1) Oral contraceptive steroids increased serum cholesterol concentration by 4.8% as compared with cholesterol value of control group. But this increase was not statistically significant. 2) As compared with control value, concentration of serum phospholipid in pill-treated women decreased by 14.3%, which was statistically significant (p<0.05). 3) Concentration of serum triglyceride in pill-treated women increased by 10.6% over control value, but this increase was not statistically significant. 4) Duration of pill-treatment did not affect serum concentrations of cholesterol, phospholipid and triglyceride. From the results mentioned above, it may be concluded that combined oral contraceptive steroids, at least used for subjects involved in this study, decreased serum phospholipid significantly, thereby influencing serum lipid concentration.

Etomidoline (Nonspa<sup>??</sup>), which is chemically related to tertiary amine, is new synthetic antispasmodic agent with analgesic action. Antispasmodic effect of this agent is stronger than hyoscine butylbromide (Buscopan<sup>??</sup>), quaternary amine, and the absorption from intestine is also much higher. This study was undertaken to determine the effect of etomidoline on duodenal motility and other smooth muscles of rabbit. Strips of various isolated smooth muscle, 2 cm long from adult rabbits weighting about 2 kg, were suspended in a muscle chamber containing Tyrode s solution, which was bubbled with oxygen gas, and the temperature of the solution was kept constant at 38˚C. After being washed with fresh solution several times the strips of smooth muscle attained constant motility and tonus. Etomidoline and other drugs were added in various concentrations to the chamber. Contractility of the strips was measured by using polygraph (Grass, model 7). The results are as follows: 1) In isolated rabbit atrium etomidoline produces a slight depression of contractility and the rate is also decreased. 2) On the other hand, etomidoline relaxed isolated strips of stomach, duodenal, and detrusor of rabbit. This relaxing effect of etomidoline on isolated duodenal strip of rabbit was not blocked by α-adrenergic blocking agent, phenoxybenzamine, but by β-adrenergic blocking agent, propranolol. 3) Etomidoline did not exert any effect on isolated aorta, gall bladder, and trigone of rabbit. From the above results, it may be concluded that the relaxing effect of etomidoline on duodenal strip is related β-adrenergic receptor.
위성영상을 이용한 부산항만 주변지역 토지피복분류 및 시설물관리 구축 방안

A thematic land cover map of Pusan port area was developed using Landsat satellite TM(Thematic Mapper) image. Two types of digital data which are road and sea water layers are extracted from existing paper map were overlayed over the developed land cover map. SPIN-2(KNR-1000) image was utilized to make a facility map of JaSungDae port. SPIN-2 image, which has a cell resolution of 1.56 m showed higer accuracy than TM image, which has a cell resolution of 30 m for facility mapping. Overall, the techniques of digital mapping using satellite image are very useful, effective and efficient.
