Multi-walled carbon nanotube(MWNT)-polyurethane block copolymer(PU) nanocomposites were prepared, and their electroactive shape recovery characteristics were investigated. The nanocomposites incorporating chemically modified MWNTs showed higher modulus and breaking stress than those incorporating raw MWNTs, which was ascribed to an increased dispersion of nanotubes in the matrix polymer and increased interfacial strength between nanotubes and polyurethane molecules. However, their electrical conductivity decreased with the degree of chemical modification of MWNTs. The best properties were obtained in the composites incorporating MWNTs modified at $90^{\circ}C$ on basis of combined evaluation of mechanical and conducting properties. Good electroactive shape recovery within 10 seconds was obtained when a voltage of 10 to 30 V was applied to the composites of $3-7wt\%$ modified MWNT content.

본 논문에서는 임베디드 시스템을 위한 VoIP 모듈을 설계하고 구현한다. 기존 데스크탑용VoIP(Voice of Internet Protocol) 모듈의 구현을 활발하지만 임베디드 시스템을 위한 VoIP 구현은 많지 않다. 구현된 VoIP 모듈은 OpenH.323 표준을 이용하여 설계되었으며 WinCE 가 탑재된 PDA상에서 구동된다. 구현된 시스템은 혼잡 제어 기법으로 TCP-friendly adaptation 알고리즘을 사용한다. 실험결과 약간의 잡음이 있지만 음성 통신은 원활히 이루어졌으며 향후 연구과제는 잡음의 최소화이다. This paper designs and implements a VoIP module for embedded system. Many other VoIP modules for desktop environment has widely implemented but the one for embedded system is not prevalent yet. The implemented VoIP module uses the OpenH.323 and is operated on the WinCE PDA. We use the TCP-friendly adaptation for congestion control. The experiment results show smooth communication but a little noise. Future works include the minimization of noise.

Many research result conducted by neural network researchers claimed that the degree of generalization of the neural network system is higher or at least equal to that of statistical methods. However, those successful results could be brought only if the neural network was trained by appropriately sound data, having a little of noisy data and being large enough to control noisy data. Real data used in a lot of fields, especially business fields, were not so sound that the network have frequently failed to obtain satisfactory prediction accuracy, the degree of generalization. Enhancing the degree of generalization with noisy data is discussed in this study. The suggestion, which was obtained through a series of experiments, to enhance the degree of generalization is to remove inconsistent data by checking overlapping and inconsistencies. Furthermore, the previous conclusion by other reports is also confirmed that the learning mechanism of neural network takes average value of two inconsistent data included in training set[2]. The interim results of on-going research project are reported in this paper These are ann architecture of the neural network adopted in this project and the whole idea of developing on-line credit evaluation system,being intergration of the expert(resoning)system and the neural network(learning system.Another definite result is corroborated through this study that quickprop,being agopted as a learing algorithm, also has more speedy learning process than does back propagation even in very noisy environment. 지금껏 발표된 많은 연구 결과에 의하면 신경망 시스템의 일반화 정도(정확도) 는 통계적 모델과의 비교 평가에서 그 일반화 정도가 그들과 버금가거나 우수하다는 평가를 받고 있다. 그러나, 이러한 신경망 시스템의 우수한 예측 결과는 불량 데이타 (noisy data)가 거의 없는 건전한 데이타, 혹은 일정량의 불량 데이타를 제어할 수 있을 만큼 충분한 양의 데이타로 신경망을 학습시켰을 경우에만 얻을 수가 있었다. 실제 문제-특히, 경제, 경영상의 문제-를 풀기 위하여 모아진 실 데이타는 신경만 시 스템이 만족할 만한 예측 결과를 보일 수 있을 정도의 건전한 데이타가 못되는 것이 현실이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 일정량의 불량 데이타를 포함하고 있는 훈련 데이타 를 통해 신경만을 훈련시킬 경우 신경망 시스템의 일반화 정도를 높일 수 있는 방법 에 대하여 논하였다. 본 연구의 관찰된 실험 결과에 의하면 신경망 시스템의 일반화 정도를 높이기 위해 훈련 데이타에서 같은 입력값을 갖는데도 불구하고 서로 상반되 는 출력값을 갖는 불량 데이타들을 골라내어 신경망 시스템을 훈련시키는 방법을 제 안하였다. 아울러, 두개의 서로 상반된 결과값을 갖는 불량 데이타로 신경만을 훈련 시켰을 경우 두 결과값의 평균값에 의해 신경망의 가중치(weight)조정이 된다는 이전 의 연구결과[25]도 입증되었다. 또한, 본고에서는 현재 진행중에 있는 신경망을 이 용한 신용 평가 시스템 개발에 관한 중간 결과도 기술되어 있다.

하이브리드 하드디스크(Hybrid hard disk drive: H-HDD)가 SSD(Solid state drive)에 비해 경쟁력을 갖기 위해서는 저전력, 읽기 속도가 핵심 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 H-HDD에 장착되어 있는 비휘발성 메모리에 디스크 블록을 선반입하여 저전력과 응답시간을 향상시킬 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법의 핵심은 시스템파일이나 자주 사용되는 파일은 파일단위로 캐싱하고 나머지는 블록단위로 선반입한다. 선반입은 디스크 큐를 서비스하고 남은 여유 시간에 우선순위가 높은 블록부터 실행되며 이때 사용되는 우선순위는 시간적, 지역적 지역성을 동시에 고려하여 결정된다. 실험 결과 제안 기법은 기존 기법에 비해 전력소모가 낮고 응답시간이 향상되었음을 확인하였다. The Competitiveness of Hybrid hard disk drive(H-HDD) for solid state disk(SSD) comes from both lower power consumption and higher reading speed. This paper suggests a prefetching scheme that can improve the performance of Non-Volatile cache(NVCache) memory installed on the H-HDD through prefetching disk blocks as well as files to the NVCache. The proposed scheme makes the highly used data such as booting files copy to the NVCache as an unit of file and the frequently accessed blocks copy to the NVCache. This prefetching is done on the idle time of disk queue and the priorities of prefetched target blocks are based on both time and spatial locality of blocks. Experiments results show that the suggested method can improve response time of H-HDD and also lower the power consumption.

Open E-Book 포럼에 기반한 전자책 교환 서버 구현

본 논문에서는 Open E-book 포럼에서 제시한 전자책 교환 프로토콜(EBX : E-Book exchange)에 기반한 전자책 교환 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 전자책은 다양한 미디어로 구성된 디지털 컨텐츠로 표현되며 저작권이 보호되기 위해서는 안전성이 보장된 전자책 교환 시스템이 요구된다. 또한 컨텐츠 제작자, 유통회사, 사용자는 저렴한 비용으로 전자책에 접근할 수 있어야 한다. 이에 리눅스 기반의 전자책 리더 및 서버 시스템은 이러한 요구사항들을 만족시킬 수 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 저렴한 비용으로 구축할 수 있는 리눅스 기반의 전자책 서버와 전자책 리더를 개발하였다. In this paper, we have designed and implemented an E-Book Exchange System which is based on the Open E-Book Exchange protocol of Open E-book forum. The ebook is described digital contents composed of variable media and should require secured ebook server for copyright guarantee. Also, contents manufactures, circulation company, and user must access the ebook contents easily. So, Linux-based ebook server and reader can satisfy this requirements. Therefore, this research has developed Linux-based ebook server and reader which is cost-effective.
