Phytophthora blight of pepper, which is caused by Phytophthora capsici Leonian, is not only the most destructive disease worldwide, but also difficult to control effectively. It has been needed to have new trials for effective control to the disease. We employed radiation hormesis of gamma ray as the new trial in the control strategy. Two cultivars, Kwangbok and Dabok, were used to analyse whether gamma ray radiation can induce disease resistance. The germination rate of pepper seeds was significantly enhanced by the radiation at all dose levels. Stimulatory effect for resistance induction was found to differ between cultivars. It was confirmed that the remarkable effect was induced in Dabok and depended on radiation dosage. Disease resistance at 4 Gy was much higher than that of control. On the other hand, no detectable induction effect for resistance was observed in Kwangbok which was moderate resistant cultivar to gamma ray radiation. 본 논문에서는 조명과 같은 역할을 하는 이동전등로봇을 설계하고 제작하였다. 제작한 이동전등로봇은 사람이 접근하기 힘든 오염지역이나 협소한 장소에 대한 탐색이 가능하다. 실험결과들로부터 제작한 이동전등로봇이 잘 동작함을 알 수 있다. This paper presents a design and implementation method of mobile light robot which serve as light. The proposed mobile light robot is able to search the contaminated areas and/or narrow spaces which are difficult to reach people. From the experimental results we know that the proposed mobile robot system can successfully search and working.
Multiple are FSRT 와 Conformal FSRT의 DVH 비교

목 적: Multiple are FSRT(fractionated stereotaerapy radiotherapy)와 conformal FSRT 의 계획에 있어서 종양의 모양과 DVH(dose volume histogram)를 비교하여 두 기법간의 유용성을 대하여 논하고자 한다 대 상 및 방법: 16명의 뇌종양 환자들을 대상으로 1997년 8월부터 1998년 12월까지 충남대학교의 치료방사선과에서 12회의 FSRT를 실시하였다.치료전 모의치료에서 얻은 AP(Anterior-posterior), lateral 필름상의 금속표지자의 좌표값을 ISOLOC프로그램에 입력하여 얻은 기준점과의 오차를 확인한 후 치료계획을 하였다. 치료계획은 종양용적과 종양표면적를 계산한후 IF (irregular factor)를 고려하여 multiple arc FSRT 혹은 conformal FSRT를 선택하였다. Multiple are FSRT 는 종양의 IF값이 1-1.2인 경우에 고려하였고, Conformal FSRT 는 IF값이 1.3이상인 경우에 고려한 후 종양용적에 대하여 처방선량 이상의 선량에 대한 DVH곡선에 의한 면적이 최소이면서 처방선량 이하의 선량에 대한 DVH곡선에 의한 면적이 최대가 되도록 하는 치료계획을 선택하여 평가하였다. 결 과: 치료전 모의치료에서 시행한 금속표지자의 좌표값을 ISOLOC프로그램에 입력하여 얻은 기준점과의 오차는 1mm이내였다. Multiple are FSRT는 누적 DVH상에서 처방선량의 90,91,92,93%에서 전체 종양용적을 포함하고 있었으며 평균값은 90.6%이였고, conformal FSRT는 누적 DVH상에서 처방선량의 81,85,87,91%에서 전체 종양용적을 포함하고 있었으며 평균값은 86%이었다. 두 방식 모두 결정장기들에는 최대선량의 5%이하의 적은 선량이 조사되었다. 결 론: Multiple are FSRT 와 conformal FSRT 를 IF를 기준으로 치료 계획하여 구형의 종양에 Multiple are FSRT를 시행하였으며, 불규칙한 모양의 종양에는 conformal FSRT를 시행하여 종양의 모양에 관계없이 적절한 FSRT치료계획을 수립할 수 있었다. Purpose:.In FSRT (Fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy) planning, we studied the usefulness between multiple arc FSRT and conformal FSRT by comparing tumor shape and DVH(dose volume histogram). Materials and Methods: In Chungnam Univ. hospital, we had treated the sixteen patients with FSRT from Aug. 1997 to Dec. 1998. In choosing multiple arc FSRT or conformal FSRT, we had considered multiple arc FSRT if tumor shape was similar to sphere or the value of IF was less than 1.25, conformal FSRT if tumor shape was very irregular or IF was more than 1.3. For evaluation of treatment planning, we had considered the appropriate DVH for tumor volume and for critical organs. Result: The errors between reference point and the coordinates point on AP, Lat radiography were less than 1 mm before treatment. We had planned 3~5 arcs for multiple arc FSRT, 5~6pots for conformal FSRT. The mean dose distribution of tumor volume of cumulative DVH between multiple arc FSRT and conformal FSRT was 90.6, 86%, respectively. The dose of critical organs irradiated was less than 5% maximum dose of cumulative DVH. Conclusion: We had obtained the similar value between multiple arc FSRT and conformal FSRT, so that we had appropriate treatment planning of FSRT for multiple arc FSRT and conformal FSRT according to tumor shape and size.

Welding processes in various industries such as shipbuilding, railroads, aircraft, and construction are inevitably accompanied by HAZ(Heat Affected Zone) deformation and metal structure changes around the toe of the welding bead. It is widely known that it is very weak in terms of structural strength because the tensile residual stress is introduced by welding, and the surface is also rough, causing the main cause of stress concentration to occur. It also becomes the damage initiation cite to the welded structure. Post-welding heat treatment, grinder, and TIG dressing methods were used to release residual stress and to eliminate defects in the welding part. Recently, various peening technologies using pulsed heat sources of laser, elastic vibration energy of ultrasonic waves, compressed air or cavitation have been developed and are being actively utilized as performance improvement and standardized safety technologies in the field. The local peening process on the surface of the welded part and the welded heat-affected part is not only easily portable by various technical methods, but is also being applied to robots or hybrid-3D printing technology. Therefore, in this technical paper, the technical analysis of the various advanced peening technologies that are currently being utilized and the device development trend are evaluated. The portable ultrasonic peening equipment was developed and the recently applied technologies that are newly grafted to improve mechanical properties are introduced.
국소진행된 직장암에서의 수술전 방사선치료 단독군과 방사선치료와 항암제 병용치료군의 치료성적

Purpose : to assess the efficacy and toxicity of the preoperative radiotherapy with or without chemotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer. Methods : Forty three patients (clinically diagnosed stages above or equal to Astler-Coller stage B2 without distant metastasis) were assigned to preoperative radiotherapy alone arm (n=16) or combined preoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy arm (n=27). Preoperative radiotherapy of 4500 cGy to whole pelvis +/- 540 cGy boost to primary site and concurrent chemotherapy of 2 cycles of 5-FU (500mg/m²) and leucovorin (20mg/m²) were used. fifteen patients of preoperative radiotherapy alone arm and 19 of combined arm received surgical resection after preoperative treatment. Results : During the preoperative treatment, no significant complication was developed in both groups. Pathologic results were as follows; complete remission 1, B1 1, B2 6, C1 2, C2 5 in preoperative radiotherapy alone arm and complete remission 2, B1 8, B2 4, C2 3, D 2 in combined arm. Postoperative complications were delayed perineal wound healing in three patients, intestinal obstruction in three patients (one managed by conservative medical treatment, two by surgical treatment). conclusion : The combined preoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy arm was more affective in pathological response and lymph node negativity rate than the preoperative radiotherapy alone arm. Both the preoperative radiotherapy alone arm and the combined arm were generally well tolerated and did not result in an increased postoperative morbidity.
