Background: This study compared the incidence of emergence agitation and the recovery profile from sevoflurane anesthesia after thiopental sodium, propofol or ketamine induction in pediatric inguinal herniorrhaphy. Methods: Forty eight children aged 1-7 years undergoing high ligation due to an inguinal hernia were examined. All patients received a 0.004 mg/kg glycopyrrolate injection for premedication prior to induction and were randomly assigned to receive thiopental sodium 5 mg/kg (Group T, n = 16), propofol 2 mg/kg (Group P, n = 16) or ketamine 1 mg/kg (Group K, n = 16) for induction. The side effects during the induction time were checked. All patients received sevoflurane (2-2.5 vol%)-N2O (2 L/min)-O2 (2 L/min) for the maintenance of anesthesia. Ventilation was given to assist spontaneous ventilation using a facial mask. The agitation score, pain score, discharge score, incidence of emergence agitation and postoperative side effects in the three groups were assessed at the recovery room and compared. Results: The emergence time in Group T (7.5 ± 1.8 min) was significantly rapid. The agitation and pain scores were significantly low in Group P. The discharge score was more rapid in Groups P and K than in Group T. The incidence of emergence agitation was similar in all three groups. Conclusions: Although recovery was faster and emergence agitation was low in the propofol group, propofol induction was not smooth compared with thiopental or ketamine induction. The incidence of emergence agitation after sevoflurane anesthesia in pediatric inguinal herniorrhaphy was similar in the thiopental sodium, propofol or ketamine induction groups. 사각판 스티프너로 보강한 콘크리트 충전강관 기둥과 H형강 보 접합부의 내진성능

본 연구는 보 플랜지와 스티프너의 용접부 양단, 기둥 모서리 부분 스티프너에 라운드를 두는 방법 등을 통하여 총 7개 시험체에 실물대 반복하중실험을 실시한 결과를 나타낸 것이다. 실험 결과를 통하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. (1) 필레(fillet)를 둠으로써 응력집중을 줄여 내진성능을 크게 향상 시킬 수 있다. (2) 스티프너 폭의 증가로 접합부의 강성 및 강도는 증가하였지만 에너지 소산 능력은 감소하였다. (3) 모든 시험체는 규준에서 강진지역의 내진구조에 대해 요구하는 총 0.04 radian의 회전각을 발휘할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. This paper presented the results of cyclic loading tests of 7 full-scale beams to column subassemblages with improved connection detail i.e., fillets of the stiffening plates at the column corners and ends of the stiffener-to-beam flange weld. Major findings from the test results were: (1) Fillets reduced the stress concentrations that may cause early brittle fractures and considerably improved the cyclic performance compared to the detail without fillets. (2) As the width of the stiffening plate increased, the stiffness and peak strength increased and energy dissipation capacity decreased. (3) While all specimens failed by a fracture, they could develop a total rotation of 0.04 radian required for special moment resisting frames.
