LED용 실리콘 봉지재의 경화방법이 신뢰성에 미치는 영향

Encapsulant curing in terms of convection oven leads to thermal induced stress due to nonuniform thermal conductivity in LED package. We have adopted infrared (IR) light for silicone curing in order to release the stress. The light uniformity irradiated on an encapsulant surface is confirmed to be uniform by optical simulation. Shear strength of die paste using IR compared to convection oven is increased 19.2% at the same curing time, which indicates curing time can be shortened. The indentation depth difference between center and edge of silicone encapsulant in terms of convection oven and IR are 14.8% and 3.4%, respectively. Curing by IR also shows 2.3% better radiant flux persistency rate of LED at $85^{\circ}C$ after 1,000 h reliability test compared to convection curing.

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the learning styles for adult college students in order to better understand the factors that shape the language learning process. I examined the perceptual learning styles of 119 college students, one at ChongUp Technical College, and the second at a university located in ChonBuk Province. The subjects’ English proficiency levels varied as under TOEIC 220 score (55.5%), 220 - 470(39.5%), over 470(5.0%). Research findings are as follows: First, subjects mainly preferred auditory(38.3%) and kinesthetic (36.2%) learning style. It might be influenced by traditional teaching method used by most Korean teachers. Second, on the survey of sociological learning styles, subjects favored group - oriented style. They value group interaction and class work with two or three classmates. Third, Lower level students (under 220 TOEIC) preferred kinesthetic style than higher level. It is different from Rossi-Le’s position(1995) that more language-proficient students preferred learning through interactive methods and direct experiences with the language. However it might be different by cultural backgrounds, subjects, and research focus.

There are many difficulties in extinguishing the initial fire due to the detection performance and malfunction of the fire detector. In this paper, the detection efficiency of a photoelectric fire detector were studied according to the chamber structure and characteristics of smoke concentration change.

This study empirically examines the effects of the 'Thought Structure Conversion Method(TSCM)'for teaching writing and grammar to academically underprepared college students. The TSCM is an English teaching and learning method to convert the learners' thought structure from the original Korean word order to the English word order. It is one of the two core operational systems which construct the 'Five Dimensional English Learning Method' with the Vocal Structure Conversion Method(VSCM). Tests through 'Test and Retest Method'and questionnaires were administered to fifty subjects to analyze the effects of TSCM. The subjects participating in this experimental study for 15 weeks showed statistically significant improvement of their writing ability. The findings of this study confirm the value of using this method for teaching writing and grammar to college students of low-level English.
