기밀시험은 유체 또는 기체를 활용하여 유압시스템의 누설률 및 누설위치를 파악하는 비파괴 검사의 하나이다. 기밀시험 방법들은 다양하고 각 방법들마다 적합한 유체 및 기체의 종류가 있으며, 누설 탐지 정밀도, 소요되는 비용, 시간 등이 상이하다. 이에 따라 액체로켓 엔진의 조립과정에 적합한 기밀시험법을 시행하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 액체로켓 엔진의 조립과정에 적용할 수 있는 다양한 기밀시험법들과 실제 엔진의 기밀시험법을 소개하였다. 최종적으로 액체로켓 엔진에 적합한 기밀시험 절차를 제안하였다. Leak Testing Method is one of nondestructive test methods using fluid or gas to measure the leakage level of a certain pneumo-hydraulic system as well as to detect the location of a leakage point. There are various fluids and gases that are suitable for each methods. According to the each method, the leak detection sensitivity, consuming costs, and required time could be differed. Therefore, it is important to select a proper leak testing method for the liquid propellent rocket engine which can be applicable during the assembling process of a liquid propellant rocket engine. In this study, various leak testing methods were compared that can be applicable for the assembling process of a liquid rocket engine. Furthermore, leak testing methods of existing engine are introduced. Finally, general guideline and process of the leak testing method for the engine was proposed.

Model parameter updating procedure using a structural model is based on the discrepancies between analytical and experimental results. In this paper, several beam models are utilized to detect modal frequency differences and errors in physical parameters, Young's modulus and mass density, are calculated using the differences. Impact test is carried out for simple beam and beams with 1, 3, 7 holes to obtain natural frequencies and mode shapes. Updated parameters are compared with those of analytical model to check the effect of the holes. The results show that the beam with holes become weak because of the effect of the holes. The results of this research can be used to calculate the updated mass and stiffness matrices to update modal data.
