        Tcf3 Function Is Required for the Inhibition of Oligodendroglial Fate Specification in the Spinal Cord of Zebrafish Embryos

        The generation of various subtypes of neurons and glial cells at the right time and place is crucial for the proper development of the vertebrate CNS. Although the mechanisms and factors for the regulation of neuronal diversity in the CNS have been well studied, the mechanisms regulating the sequential production of neuronal and glial cells from neural precursors remain poorly understood. This study shows that Tcf3, a member of the Lef/Tcf family of proteins, is required to inhibit the premature oligodendroglial fate specification of spinal cord precursors using the transgenic zebrafish, which expresses a dominant repressor form of Tcf3 under the control of a heat-shock inducible promoter. In addition, the data revealed that Tcf3 function in oligodendroglial fate specification is mediated in-dependently of canonical Wnt signaling. Altogether, these results show a novel function for Tcf3 in regulating the timing of oligodendroglial fate specification in the spinal cord.

        헤모필루스 인플루엔자 기관염이 확인되면서 진단된 혈관륜 1례

        저자들은 출생 후 호흡기 증상이 지속되어 오던 여아가 respiratory syncytial virus와 b형 헤모필루스 인플루엔자균에 의한 하기도 감염에 이환되면서 생후 4개월에 혈관륜으로 진단된 1예를 보고하는 바이다. 환아는 출생 후 협착음과 천명음 등의 잦은 호흡기 증상을 보였고, 3개월에 호흡 곤란을 주소로 입원하였으며 respiratory syncytial virus에 의한 세기관지염으로 치료받고 호전되었다. 퇴원 후 증상이 다시 악화되어 재입원 하였으며 b형 헤모필루스 인플루엔자균에 의한 기관염 및 폐렴이 확인되었고, 치료를 위해 기관내 튜브에 도관 삽입을 시도하였을 때 하부 기도에서 저항감이 감지되어 기도 부위의 해부학적 기형을 의심하게 되었다. 3차원 흉부 단층 촬영에서 이중 대동맥궁으로 인한 혈관륜이 확인되었고, 교정 수술을 시행한 후 좋은 경과를 보이고 있다. Vascular ring, originating from abnormal regression of the aortic arch during fetal life, can cause prolonged and recurrent respiratory symptoms and dysphagia when the diagnosis is delayed. We report a 4 month old girl with vascular ring, who had been treated for persistent respiratory symptoms including stridor, wheezing, and dyspnea soon after birth. Initially her respiratory symptoms were thought to be due to bronchiolitis, for which respiratory syncytial virus was confirmed by immunofluorescent staining. Her clinical course was again complicated with tracheitis and pneumonia due to Haemophilus influenzae type b. The possibility of anatomical anomaly was investigated when it was felt to be difficult to insert a suction catheter deep down through a endotracheal tube which was placed for adequate ventilatory management. A three-dimensional chest CT revealed a vascular ring consisting of a double aortic arch. For 5 months following surgery, her respiratory symptoms have slowly been improving. She developed another episode of pneumonia which was milder than the one which occurred before the surgery.

        새로운 n형 고분자인 DFPP 기반의 MEH-PPV/DFPP Blend 소자의 광전특성

        Optical characteristics in polymer films of MEH-PPV/DFPP blends were for the first time investigated. DFPP (N, N'-diperfluorophenyl-3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic diimide) used here was a novel n-type polymer, which had good stability in air and solubility in common solvents. For a 1:9 DFPP:MEH-PPV blend, highly efficient quenching of photoluminescence (PL) was observed. In addition, the photocurrent responses of these MEH-PPV/DFPP photovoltaic cells were measured. When the light intensity was $50mW/cm^2$, short-circuit photocurrent densities were two times higher than those of single layer MEH-PPV devices. MEH-PPV/DFPP 혼합물의 고분자 박막에서 광학적 특성들이 최초로 조사되었다. 여기서 사용된 BFPP(N, N'-diperfluorophenyl-3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic diimide)는 새로운 n형 고분자인데 공기 중에서 안정성이 우수하고 일반 용매에서 잘 용해되었다. 1:19 DFPP:MEH-PPV 혼합물의 경우 매우 효율적인 형광소멸이 관측되었다. 더불어 이 MEH-PPV/DFPP 광전 셀의 광전류 응답특성들이 측정되었다. 빛의 세기가 $50mW/cm^2$일 때 단락전류 밀도는 단일 층의 MEH-PPV 소자들보다 2배 이상 되었다.

        고지방식이로 비만을 유도한 C57BL/6 마우스에서 SM17의 항산화 및 항비만 효과

        Objectives : Obesity is caused by the excess accumulation of fat in the body due to energy imbalance, and it causes various diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate an anti-obesity efficacy and an antioxidant activity of water from herbal mixture extract (SM17). Methods : The antioxidant activities were evaluated through radical scavenging assays using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) (ABTS) radicals. To evaluated anti-obesity effect of SM17, we used a high fat diet fed mouse model. The SM17 (150 mg/kg body weight/day, p.o.) was treated every day for 6 weeks to C57BL/6 mice. Body weight and food intake were measured every day. The changes of reactive oxygen species (ROS), alanine aminotransferanse (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), triglycerids (TG) and total cholesterol (TC) in serum were analyzed after experiment. Also, expression of lipid metabolism related proteins were investigated by western blot analysis. Results : It was effective in antioxidant measurements, SM17 administration inhibited the biomarkers of lipid metaboism in serum and tissues. The administration of SM17 showed a significant reduction of body and tissue weight. Morever, it decreased ROS, ALT, AST, TG and TC in serum, compared with those of the obese mice. Adipogenesis-related protein expressions increased in obese mice compared to normal mice. However, SM17 group exhibited the down-expression of these proteins. Conclusion : A SM17 aqueous extract has a great effect on the stimulation (AMPK) activation, and may have a benefit to reduce a fatty acid metabolism through inhibition of lipid accumulation.

        착한기업 이미지가 구매에 영향을 미치는가?: 착한기업 이미지와 구매의도 간의 관계에 미치는 기업-소비자 동일시 매개효과 중심으로

        최근 우리 사회 전체에 사회적 가치를 창출하고 공유하는 ‘착한소비’에 대한 관심이 높아졌다. 기업의 사회적 책임활동(CSR)과 공유가치창출(CSV)의 정의에 대한 논쟁과 함께 착한기업에 대한 관심 또한 높아졌으나, 실제 착한기업 이미지에 대한 학술적 연구는 전무 하다시피 하다. 따라서 본 연구 목표는 첫째, 착한기업 이미지의 세부 구성차원을 밝히고, 둘째, 착한기업 이미지와 기업에 대한 태도, 구매 의도와 같은 마케팅 관점의 성과 변수와의 역학관계를 밝히고자 했다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 연구1과 연구2를 진행하였다. 일반 소비자 대상의 서베이를 통해 수집된 자료를 분석한 결과, 연구1에서는 김수현과 최은정(2014)의 착한기업 이미지의 탐색적 정성연구 결과를 기반으로 소비자 관점에서 착한기업 이미지를 구성하는 하위 세부 구성 요소로써 (1) 윤리성, (2) 소통관계 성, (3) 시장경쟁력, (4) 혁신리더쉽, (5) 진정성 및 자발성을 밝혀냈다. 연구2에서는 파악된 착한기업 이미지의 세부 구성요소가 구매의도 및 기업에 대한 태도에 어떤 영향을 미치는가를 분석하였다. 그 결과 착한기업의 이미지 중 ‘윤리성’과 ‘혁신리더십’을 제외한 ‘소통관계성’, ‘시장경쟁력’, ‘진정성 및 자발성’ 요인이 기업-소비자 동일시에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 그리고 기업-소비자 동일시는 착한기업에 대한 태도와 구매 의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 마지막으로 대안모델들을 개발하여 추가 분석 통해 기업-소비자 동일시의 매개효과 여부를 진단하였다. 본 연구모델과 대안모델을 비교한 결과, 착한기업 이미지는 기업성과에 직접적 효과는 없었으며 기업-소비자 동일 시를 통해 간접적으로 착한기업에 대한 태도 및 구매의도를 증대시키는 것으로 파악되었다. 착한기업 이미지가 기업 태도 및 구매의도에 미치는 정의 관계에서 기업-소비자 동일시가 중요한 매개변수로써 작동하는 역학관계를 밝혀낸 것이다. 본 연구는 소비자 관점의 착한기업 이미지에 대한 매우 초기 연구로써, 착한기업의 이미지 세부 구성요소를 밝히고, 이들과 마케팅 성과들과의 역학적 관계를 밝혔다는 점에서 이론적 공헌이 크다. 이를 기반으로본 연구는 기업들의 CSR, CSV 활동에 시사점을 제공하였다. Recently, as the interest in creating social values which share all over our society increases. Good companies have taken an attention in the situation debating CSV and CSR, but there exist little academic research about good company images from an academic research perspective. Therefore, the purposes of this study are firstly to explore sub-constructs of good company image, and secondly to find a mechanism among sub-constructs of good company image and marketing performance like company attitude, and purchase intention. This study did Research 1 and Research 2 by analyzing data obtained from general consumers. Based on Kim and Choi (2014)’s exploratory qualitative research about good company image, Research 1 found subconstructs of good company image: (1)ethnic; (2)communication and relationship; (3) economics; (4) innovation and vision clarity; and (5) authenticity and voluntary Research 2 examined how these sub-constructs of good company image affect attitude toward company and purchase intention. It also found that except ‘ethic’ among these images about good company, ‘communication and relationship,’ ‘economics,’ and ‘authenticity and voluntary’ positively affected companyconsumer identification. Also, company-consumer identification affected attitude toward good companies and the purchase intention positively. Lastly, this study confirmed the mediating effect of company-consumer identification on between good company images and attitude toward company and purchase intention by developing substitute models and additional analysis. According to the comparison between the original research model and these substitute models,the good company image did not improve consumers’ attitude toward good companies and purchase intention directly. Instead, company-consumer identification mediated the positive relationship between good company images and marketing performance. That is, this research found the mechanism mediating by company-consumer identification between the positive relationship between good company images and the marketing performances. This research is an exploratory study uncovering sub-constructs of images about good company. It provides a theoretical contribution in that this research found the mechanism between these sub-constructs and company marketing performances. Based on the results, this study provides some managerial implications about CSR and CSV activities.

      • 의사를 위한 호스피스 교육 프로그램의 개발 - 2004 호스피스.완화의료 시범사업을 중심으로 -

        목적: 2004년 호스피스 완화의료 시범사업을 실시하면서 의사를 대상으로 한 사업을 위하여 호스피스 완화의료에 관한 교육 프로그램을 개발하고 이를 기초로 교육을 실시하고 성과를 분석하였다. 방법: 교육 분과위원회에서 3차례의 회의를 통해 교육 요구도(총 79문항) 설문지를 개발한 후 125개 전국 호스피스 관련 기관에 종사하는 의사를 대상으로 우편을 이용하여 설문지를 발송하였다. 교육 중요도는 호스피스 전문가 27명에게 이메일을 통하여 조사하였다. 결과: 교육 요구도 및 중요도 조사 결과, 다양한 문헌 검토 및 외국의 호스피스 완화의료 관련 교육과정을 기초로 호스피스 완화의료 교육 프로그램이 개발되었으며 교육 시간은 총 36시간(이론 21, 실습 15시간)이었다. 이를 토대로 1일 교육 코스를 전국에서 4회에 걸쳐 시행하였으며 47명의 의사가 참여하였다. 교육 이수 후 참가자들은 교육 과정이 향후 업무에 도움이 된 정도는 항목마다 $3.0{\sim}3.6$점, 교과 강사의 적절성은 $3.1{\sim}3.3$점으로 평가하였다(1: 전혀 아니다 ${\sim}4$: 매우 그렇다). 전반적인 만족도는 100점 중 80점이었다. 결론: 개발된 교육 프로그램은 전체적으로는 운영되지 않았으며 일부만 시험교육으로 운영하였다. 대상자들은 대체로 만족하였으나 강의보다는 사례, 토론 중심의 교육 및 주제별 심화교육을 원하였다. 향후 지속적인 요구도 조사와 프로그램 개발 및 시행이 필요하다. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop education program for physicians who work at hospice palliative care settings in Korea, to practice abridged education program extracted from the full contents of the proposed education, and to improve the quality of hospice palliative care service. Methods: To develop the education program, questionnaire for hospice education need assessment (total 79 items) was distributed to 125 organizations practicing hospice service via mail and the data was collected from 1 Sep. to 10 Oct. 2004. Another questionnaire for hospice education importance assessment was asked to the palliative specialists from Sep. 23 to 17 Oct. 2004. Based on the analysis of the questionnaires, and reviewing various references and actual hospice palliative education programs of other countries, the education programs were developed. Results: Ore-day-Hospice education 2004 was conducted based on the suggested education program, and it was practiced four times on a national basis (2 times in Seoul, and once in Busan and Gwangju, respectively). 47 physicians attended the education program. The education program lasted about 7 hours, comprising 5 hours of common lectures for all attendants regardless of their professions and 2 hours of specific seminar for physicians only. Attendants positively responded to the contents of the education program. But they pointed out that the program should be offered on weekday and it should be more in-depth and more discussion based lesson. Conclusion: The suggested education program was not fully conducted yet. After practicing the abridged education program, more in-depth and discussion oriented rather than lecture-based education were suggested. It may be argued that the proposed education, which requires much longer period education, should also reflect the evaluation of the 1-day education program to successfully implement the proposed education program.

        수성 현탁액에서 카르복실기를 포함하는 혼합 분산제에 의한 이트리아 안정화 지르코니아의 분산성 향상

        Stable slurries of YSZ in aqueous suspension with added polymer dispersants, namely, poly-methacrylic acid ammonium salt (PMMA), poly-acrylic acid (PAA) and poly-acrylic-co-maleic acid (PAMA), were mixed with the monomolecular dispersants citric acid and oxalic acid. The dispersion properties of the suspension were investigated using PSA, viscosity, sedimentation, and FT-IR. The polymer dispersants and monomolecular dispersants were attached to the YSZ surface by the carboxylic group, as shown by the FTIR results. A stabilized aqueous suspension was obtained when the polymer dispersant and citric acid were mixed and compared to the use of citric acid alone as a dispersant agent. When the polymer dispersant and citric acid were mixed and milled through attrition milling, there was a smaller particle size compared to when the polymer dispersant alone was used as a dispersant agent. This study determined that the particle size of the mixed dispersant was affected by the properties of the monomolecular dispersant and that the stability of the suspension was affected by the polymer dispersant. However, when slurries of YSZ were mixed with oxalic acid, the particle bridging behavior was the result of the high degree of viscosity and the small sedimentation height.

        右歸飮이 hydrogen peroxide에 의해 유도된 Leydig cell에 미치는 항산화 효과 연구

        Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the antioxidant activity of water extract of Woogyuyeum (WGY) in Leydig cells. Methods : We investigated the cytoprotective effect of WGY in cultured mouse Leydig cells by MTT assay. Leydig cells treated with WGY were incubated in the presence or absence of 50 μM hydrogen peroxide at 37℃ for 24 h. The protective effects of WGY against hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative stress, lipid peroxide (LPO), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and catalase activity assays were performed in Leydig cells. Results : As a result, WGY showed no significant cytotoxicity in Leygdig cells. WGY showed cell viability as 103.65% in 5 μg/ml concentrations. The cytotoxicity induced by hydrogen peroxide in Leygdig cells, the antioxidant effects of WGY was increased in 1, 5, 50, 100 ug/ml concentraions. 100 μg/ml concentration of WGY showed maximum antioxidant effects. Treatment of cells with 100 μg/ml WGY significantly reduced the MDA concentration to 0.23 nmoles/mg protein. SOD activity was increased at 1, 100 μg/ml concentration of WGY and catalase activity was significantly increased at 50, 100 μg/ml concentrations of WGY, respectively. Conclusions : In conclusion, WGY has antioxidant activities against hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative stress in Leydig cells.

        임플란트 일차 안정성에 있어서 고정체 지름에 따른 osteotome 술식의 효과

        Primary stability is a fundamental criteria of implant success. There has been various trials to increase initial stability and bone to implant contact. The objective of osteotome technique is to preserve all the existing bone by minimizing or even eliminating the drilling sequence of the surgical protocol. The bone layer adjacent to the osteotomy site is progressively compacted with various bone condensers(osteotomes) this will result in a denser bone to implant contact. This improved bone density helps to optimize primary implant stability in low density bone. The use of wide implant is one of methods to increse primary stability. They can be used in special situations in which they can increase the surface area available for implant anchorage and improve their primary stability The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of the osteotome technique and implant width on primary stability. Osteotome technique was compared with conventional drilling method by resonance frequency measurments according to the implant fixtures diameter. The results were as follows: 1. The average of ISQ value was sightly higher in osteotome technique, but there was not statistically significant in regular and narrow implant(p <0.05). 2. Either osteotome technique or conventional technique. ISQ value was significantly higer as increasing of implant diameter(p <0.05). 3. ISQ value of drilling technique was higer than those of osteotome technique in wide implant. It was assumed to be caused by difference in final preparation diameter.
