자존감과 보상 유형의 상호작용이 국제구호 캠페인의 효과에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 개인의 자존감과 메시지가 제시하는 보상 유형의 상호작용이 국제구호 캠페인의 효과에 미치는 영향에 대해 조사하였다. 자존감은 스스로 얼마나 가치 있는 존재로 느끼는지를 나타내고, 보상은 긍정적 대가를 의미하며 내적/외적 보상으로 구분하였다. 실험은 184명을 대상으로 실행되었으며, 2단계로 나누어서 실행되었다. 1단계에서는 참여자들의 개인 성향과 경험에 관한 설문을 진행하였고, 2단계에서는 유형별 메시지를 제시한 후 나타나는 반응을 평가하였다. 연구 결과, 캠페인 태도에서 자존감 수준이 높은 사람들은 외적 보상보다 내적 보상 정보를 접했을 때 더 호의적인 캠페인 태도를 보여주었고, 자존감이 낮은 사람들은 차별적 반응을 보여주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 행위 의도에서는 유의미한 결과가 도출되지 않았다. The current study investigated the impact of interaction between self-esteem and reward type on the effects of an international relief campaign. Self-esteem refers to how worthy a person feels about the self. Reward is differentiated by intrinsic or extrinsic type. An experimental research was conducted with 184 subjects by self-esteem × reward type. This research was progressed with two stages. At the first stage, questionnaires relative to participants’ self-esteem and past experiences were distributed. At the second stage, the participants rated their responses after exposure to the campaign. Individuals with higher self-esteem showed more favorable message attitudes towards intrinsic reward type, yet those with lower self-esteem did not show a significant difference. Analyses for behavioral intention did not produce any significant result.
시뮬레이션과 군집 분석을 활용한 중소제약기업의 제품군 조정 사례 분석

This paper presents a case study to adjust the product group at ‘an SME (small and medium size enterprise) pharmaceutical company’. The company produces an excessive amount of different products using its maximum capacity, which causes inefficiency. Considering the fact that the company is growing fast, it needs to adjust its product group by removing inefficient products. In order to help the company, we carried out simulation to find out bottleneck process and after that we also conducted hierarchical clustering analysis to figure out which product causes inefficiency most severely, using three indicators consisting of the bottleneck contribution, sales, and contribution margins. Applying the ExtendSim simulation with the clustering analysis result, we substituted ‘better (i.e., causing less inefficiency) products’for the problematic ones and observed the increases in the sales and profits at the company in various scenarios. The paper shows how we can derive managerial implications useful for the SME’s production planning from these approaches.

The energy consumption for a house heating may be greatly reduced by replacing a noncondensing gas boiler unit to a condensing unit. To save the operating cost of a heating system, the optimal operation of a boiler unit is necessary. Mathematical models of a condensing gas boiler system, which are composed of dynamic models for a blower, a gas valve, a pump, a pipe, a burner, a boiler heat exchanger, and a hot water heat exchanger, were developed. Control algorithms of a blower, a gas valve, and a pump were selected. Dynamic models along with control algorithms were used to analyse control performances of a boiler system. Simulation was performed by using a computer program. Simulation results showed good predictions of dynamic behaviors of a boiler system. Therefore, dynamic models developed for this study may be effectively used for the optimal control algorithm development and the control performance prediction of a condensing gas boiler system.
응축형 가스보일러시스템의 제어 알고리즘 개발을 위한 효과적인 동적모델

Condensing gas boiler units may make a big role for the reduction of energy consumption in heating industries. In order to decrease the energy consumption of a condensing gas boiler unit, effective operations of the system are necessary. In this study, mathematical models of a condensing gas boiler system were developed in order to develop control algorithms of the system. These include dynamic models of a blower, a gas valve, a pump, a burner, a boiler heat exchanger, and a hot water heat exchanger. Control algorithms of a blower, a gas valve, and a pump were also assumed. Simulation results showed good predictions of dynamic behaviors of a boiler system. Therefore, the simulation program developed for this study may be effectively used for the development of control algorithms of a boiler system.

최근 공급 사슬을 네트워크 관점에서 바라보는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있음에도 불구하고 아직까지 네트워크 구조와 성 과 간의 관계를 명확히 밝히는데 한계가 있었다. 우리는 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 공급네트워크의 성과가 공급네트워크의 구조에 따라서 달라질 수 있음을 가설로 제시하였다. 이를 검정하기 위해 공급사슬의 대표적인 모형인 비어게임을 네트워 크 형태로 확장한 행위자 기반 모형을 세우고 모의실험을 진행하였다. 구조화된 실험 설계를 통한 모의실험으로 얻은 방 대한 데이터를 분석한 결과 공급네트워크의 구조를 나타내는 지표 중 하나인 평균 경로 길이(average path length)와 성과 간에 역U자 관계가 있음을 밝혔다. 다시 말해, 공급네트워크의 참여 기업 간 논리적 거리가 가깝거나 먼 경우가 논 리적 거리가 중간 정도인 경우에 비해 공급네트워크 재고 비용이 낮게 나타났다. 나아가 이러한 구조와 성과의 역U자 관 계는 리드타임이 길수록, 단위당 재고 유지비용이 클수록 강화됨을 확인했다. 또한, 주문 정책에 따라 역U자 관계가 다르 게 나타남을 보였다. Although supply chain research with a network perspective has been growing fast recently, there are some limitations to verifying a relationship between supply network structure and performance due to the lack of data availability and the complexity of mathematical modeling. Based on a theoretical background, we propose a hypothesis that suggests a curvilinear relationship between supply network structure and performance. In order to test the hypothesis, we develop an agent-based model that extends the Beer Distribution Game from a serial chain to a complex network structure. The model considers different factors that may affect the supply network performance such as lead time, ordering policy, demand pattern, and product cost characteristics. Through deliberately structured simulation experiments, we develop a huge data set at the supply network level. The results show that there is an inverted-U relationship between the average path length (APL) of a supply network and its performance. In other words, supply network performance increases and then decreases as its APL increases. This means that we may achieve minimum supply network costs when the supply network structure is either centralized such as with a hub and spoke structure or decentralized as with a tree structure. Furthermore, the inverted-U relationship between structure and performance is moderated by lead time, ordering policy and unit inventory holding cost. As the overall lead time of supply network members increases or the unit inventory holding cost rises, the slope of the inverted-U shape steepens.

Condensing gas boiler units may make a big role for the reduction of energy consumption in heating industries. In order to decrease the energy consumption of a condensing gas boiler unit, the effective control of the system is necessary. In this study, control algorithms of a condensing gas boiler were developed. Control algorithms are composed of the setpoint algorithm and the control algorithm. The setpoint algorithm consists of the supply water temperature setpoint algorithm and the pump setpoint algorithm. The control algorithm consists of the gas valve control algorithm and the blower control algorithm. In order to analyse the performance of control algorithms, dynamic models of a condensing gas boiler system were used. Simulation results showed that control algorithms developed for this study may be practically applied to the condensing gas boiler.
