        체조수업 기피현상에 대한 초등학교 교사의 비판적 인식

        본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 학교체육현장의 체조수업 기피현상에 대한 교사들의 인식을 체계적으로 분석하는 데 있었다. 체육교과수업을 통한 체조교육에 지속적인 관심을 가져온 네 명의 초등학교 교사들이 본 연구에 참여하여 2017년 2월부터 6월까지 심층면담에 임했으며 심층면담 자료가 주된 연구 자료로 활용되었다. 수집된 연구 자료는 사례기록(case record)과 개인별 종합 프로파일(multi-profile) 방식으로 분석되었으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 참여자들은 체조수업을 위한 시설 및 교구의 부족으로 체조수업을 진행하는 데 어려움을 겪고 있었다. 둘째, 연구 참여자들의 체조교육에 대한 교육역량 부족은 정상적인 체조교육을 불가능하게 하는 중요한 요인이었다. 초등학교 교사들이 체조교육에 관한 전문지식을 습득에 적극적이어야 하며 체조실기 능력의 향상을 위해 노력해야 한다는 것이 연구 참여자들의 공통된 의견이었다. 셋째, 연구 참여자들은 체조 수업 중 안전사고에 대한 두려움이 적지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 체조수업 중 안전사고의 가능성을 줄이고 안전사고 발생을 대비하여 적절한 대응책이 다각적으로 마련되어야만 초등학교 교사의 체조수업에 대한 인식변화를 꾀할 수 있을 것이라는 것이 연구 참여자들의 의견이었다. 넷째, 연구 참여자들은 교육대학 재학 시 학습했던 체조교육에 관한 지식이 부족했음을 인지하고 있었으며 이를 보충하기 위한 체조교육에 관한 재교육이 제공되어야 할 필요가 있음을 강조했다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the causes of gymnastic class avoidance among elementary school teachers. Four elementary school teachers had participated in the in-depth interview from February to June, 2017. In-depth interview data were documented, and on the basis of the transcript data, each participant’s case record and multi-profile were drawn up. First, participants were relying on monotonous method of teaching and were having trouble with the shortage of gymnastic facilities and tools. Second, participants’ competence on gymnastics education for appropriate gymnastic class were not enough to teach gymnastic class. It was the consensus of the participants that elementary school teachers should acquire more expertise regarding gymnastic education and endeavor to improve their ability to perform gymnastic. Third, participants tended to overlook dangerousness of safety accidents during gymnastic class. Participants suggested that it is important to reduce the possibility of safety accidents, arrange appropriate solutions. Fourth, participants hardly experience teacher training to improve gymnastic skills. It was the majority opinion of the participants that many training opportunities should be provided to enhance teachers’ competency about gymnastic, many learning opportunities should be provided. In summary, the findings in this study confirm that people with short sleep duration are more likely to be obese, and high intensity activity in short sleep group is possible to prevent obesity.

        The Effect of Resist and Assist Torque of Hip Joint Motor-based Gait Assistance Robot on Gait Function in the Elderly

        OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of assist and resistance torque on the spatiotemporal gait characteristics, and the symmetry and asymmetry of gait using a Gait Enhancing and Motivating System (GEMS) in the elderly. METHODS A cross-sectional and repeated measure design was used. A total of 18 participants (9 males, 9 females; age: 63.5 ± 5.02 years; mass: 64.26 ± 6.87 kg; height: 164.06 ± 7.15 cm) were recruited from a local community, and spatiotemporal gait data were collected with OptoGait system and GEMS. Spatiotemporal gait variables and differences between the dominant and non-dominant legs of these variables were assessed (step length, step time, stance phase, swing phase, single support, load response, pre swing phase, stride time, stride length, double support, cadence, and gait speed). The effects of three modes including normal, assist, and resist modes using GEMS were investigated twice for each participant on a 9-meter walkway. A one-way repeated measure analysis of variance followed by Bonferroni post-hoc tests was conducted. RESULTS The assist mode increased step time, swing phase, stride time and reduced stance phase, pre-swing phase, double support, cadence, and gait speed as compared to normal mode. The resist mode increased stance phase, load response, pre-swing phase, double support, cadence, and reduced step time, swing phase, and stride time. In dominant leg, assist mode showed increased step time and reduced pre-swing phase than normal mode, and greater step time than resist mode (p < 0.05). However, there was no effect of external torque on symmetry and asymmetry between both legs (p > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS The resistance and assist torque of GEMS alter spatiotemporal characteristics during the stance and swing phase of gait in the elderly. However, the resistance torque and assist torque of GEMS did not increase or decrease the gait asymmetry between the dominant and non-dominant legs.

        노인의 운동참여 동기 유형과 관련 요인

        본 연구는 잠재계층분석을 실시하여 운동참여 동기에 대한 노인의 하위집단을 유형화하고 하위집단의 소속 여부를 예측하는특성을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 규칙적으로 운동한다고 보고한 65세 이상 노인 179명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사한 자료에대해 잠재계층분석을 수행한 후, 다항로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 운동참여 동기는 의사 권유, 즐거움, 체중감량, 레저/여가, 건강유지, 사회적 관계를 포함한 6개 항목으로 측정하였으며, 잠재계층의 예측요인으로는 연령, 성별, 결혼 지위, 교육수준과 가구소득, 주관적 건강과 삶 만족도, 노화 태도와 지역사회 인식을 투입하였다. 잠재계층분석 결과 3개의 하위집단이 도출되었으며, 이들 집단의응답패턴 특성에 따라 ‘건강중심형(46.0%)’, ‘재미추구형(46.5%)’, ‘복합동기형(7.5%)’ 집단으로 명명하였다. 건강중심형을 참조집단으로한 다항로지스틱 분석 결과, 노화 태도, 성별, 교육수준, 지역사회 인식이 운동참여 동기에 따른 잠재계층에 영향을 미쳤다. 즉 노화태도가 부정적일 때 건강중심형보다 복합동기형에 속할 확률이 높았으며, 여성일 때, 교육수준이 낮을 때, 지역사회 사회문화환경에대한 인식이 긍정적일 때, 건강중심형보다 재미추구형에 속할 확률이 높았다. 본 연구는 대상중심 접근법을 적용하여 한국 노인의운동참여 동기 하위유형을 규명하여 노인 내 이질성을 구체화하였다는 의의를 갖는다. This study aims to analyze the types of motivations toward physical exercise participation among older adults and to examine relevant factors of subgroup membership. The sample was drawn from the online survey data of 179 older adults (aged 65 or above) who reported participating in regular exercise. Latent Class Analysis (LCA) and multinomial logistic regression were applied. Motivations for physical exercise were measured with six indicators including medical recommendations, fun, weight loss, leisure, keeping fit, and social relationship. Potential factors for latent class membership include sociodemographic factors (age, gender, spouse) and socioeconomic status (education, household income), health (subjective health, life satisfaction), attitudes toward aging, and perceived neighborhood environment. Results of LCA showed that the classifications to three subgroups revealed the optimal fit: ‘fitness-oriented (46.0%)’, ‘fun-seeking (46.0%)’, ‘complex motivations (7.5%)’. The results of multinomial logistic regression analysis showed that attitudes toward aging, gender, education, and perceived neighborhood environment are significantly associated with the latent class membership. This study has significance in that it elucidated the heterogeneity in older adults based on different patterns of exercise motivation. The results of this research can be applied to the field aiming to promote exercise motivation among older adults.

        전기물고기의 방해 회피 반응 모델링과 응용

        In this paper, we suggest a phase difference algorithm inspired by weakly electric fish. Weakly electric fish is a fish which generates electric field though its electric organ in the tail. The weakly electric fish search for prey and detect an object by using electrolocation. The weakly electric fish have Jamming Avoidance Response (JAR) to avoid jamming signal. One of pulse-type weakly electric fish Gymnotus carapo also have JAR to reduce the probability of coincidence of pulses. We analyze this response signal and design the phase difference algorithm. We expect that simple algorithm inspired by weakly electric fish can be used in many engineering fields.

      • 생체모방 의료용 마이크로시스템의 마찰 메커니즘에 대한 연구

        In order to develop a self-propelled medical microrobot to move by its feet inside the small intestine, frictional mechanisms between the small intestine wall and the foot of the robot must be understood. In this paper biomimetic approach was considered to design the surface of the foot to achieve the desired frictional interaction. The concept of the design was derived from the hookworms that live inside the small intestine. They have teeth that adhere to the small intestine wall by interlocking with villi on the surface of the small intestine. The interlocking mechanism was considered as the main frictional mechanism for the design of the microrobot foot surface. The cylinder shaped foot specimens were designed and tested to understand the frictional mechanism. Experiments were performed with various diameter solid and hollow cylinders and the effects of contact area, interlocking, and contact pressure were investigated.

        With the advent of various medical devices such as endoscope robot and surgical robot surface interaction between the medical device and human tissue has been of great concern in recent years. The issue is to maintain adequate contact between the two surfaces while assuring no significant damage to the tissue. In this work, three different multi-fiber foot specimens were designed and tested for effective friction generation with minimum surface damage of Ole organ surface. From the results it was found a multi-fiber foot which has a circular arrangement of the fibers showed the highest friction force. The results of this work will aid in the design of frictional surfaces for various medical applications.

      • 생체모방 Multi-tube Foot에 대한 Biotribological 기초연구

        In this research, a multi-tube foot design was proposed to produce effective frictional traction against the intestine wall lor the development of a robotic endoscope. Frictional characteristic of such a foot was investigated using a pig intestine specimen to determine the feasibility of using the multi-tube foot for the endoscope. The basic idea for the multi-tube foot was obtained from the hookworm living in the human organ. The multi-tube foot consists of flexible bio-compatible polymeric tubes. The length of the tube can be adjusted to obtain various stiffness. Also, the tubes can maintain contact with the irregular surface structure of the intestine wall, and there tote, effective frictional traction can be achieved. The frictional mechanisms of single and multi-tube foot were investigated and the effect of stiffness on the frictional behavior of the foot was studied. From this work, better understanding of the frictional interaction between the bio-surface and multi-tube foot could be achieved. The results will serve as the basis for designing effective traction surfaces for self-propelling microsystems for biotechnology applications.

        선형 및 원형 편광 이미지 감지를 이용한 타원형 편광 추정

        Investigating light polarization for a camera image has been a challenging issue. Linear and circular polarization properties have been investigated separately. We introduce how to estimate the elliptical polarization for a camera image. Linear polarization and circular polarization properties are combined to obtain the elliptical polarization. By observing a series of polarization-filtered images, we can estimate the full range of polarization direction as well as the magnitude for each direction for the elliptical polarization. The elliptical polarization can be applied to estimate linear and circular polarization properties together and also measure complex patterns of light on the surface of materials.
