A linear compressor in a refrigerator uses piston motion to transfer refrigerant so its efficiency is higher than a previous reciprocal compressor. Because of interaction between refrigerant and valves system in the linear compressor, however, noise has been a main issue. In spite of doing many experimental researches, there is no way to rightly predict the noise. In order to solve this limitation, the CAE analysis is applied. For giving credit to these computational data, all of the data are experimentally validated.

Hydrodynamic pressure is generated according to liquid sloshing phenomenon of internal fluid in a horizontally accelerated fuel storage tank, The pressure produces large dynamic force and dynamic moment that may damage to the safety of the structures, The one method for reducing the sloshing effects is to introduce baffles into the fuel tank, In this paper, we perform the parametric analysis in order to investigate the effects of major baffle design parameters on the sloshing suppression, The magnitude of the resultant hydrodynamic pressure on the tank wall is examined for evaluating the sloshing suppression effects, The transient sloshing analysis is performed by 3D coupled FEM-FYM dynamic analysis software, MSC/DYTRAN.
