Sikhye is a traditional rice beverage, produced from steamed rice, barley or wheat malt and water. Nine varieties of barley and seven varieties of wheat cultivars were investigated and compared quality characteristics, diastatic power, and activities of ${\alpha}$- and ${\beta}$-Amylase. For barley malt, the crude lipid and protein content of malt 1.74~2.42% and 10.71~14.36%, respectively. Also, the crude lipid and protein content for wheat malt 1.57~1.71% and 10.07~13.59%, respectively. The 'Dahyang' barley showed the highest diastatic power with $117.61^{\circ}L$, while for wheat, 'Baegjoong' produced the highest diastatic power with $85.25^{\circ}L$. The enzymatic activities, ${\alpha}$- and ${\beta}$-Amylase for barley cultivar was $110.17{\sim}214.70{\mu}nit/g$ and $869.73{\sim}1,638.43{\mu}nit/g$, respectively. Likewise, ${\alpha}$- and ${\beta}$-Amylase for wheat cultivar was $73.19{\sim}132.23{\mu}nit/g$ and $726.70{\sim}889.30{\mu}nit/g$, respectively. The highest sugar content of Sikhye from barley was $11.10^{\circ}Bx$ ('Hyeda'), while from wheat, was $10.20^{\circ}Bx$ ('Baegjoong'). Among the four free sugar components analyzed from Sikhye, maltose was the highest in all cultivars. The highest maltose content was produced in 'Dahyang' Sikhye at 6.91%. There was significant positive-correlation among the diastatic power and enzymatic activities of malt and free sugar components in Sikhye.

Saengcheonggukjang, known as Natto in Japan, is a soybean fermented food which is made from steamed soybean, Bacillus and water. Demand of Saengcheonggukjang has increased because it does not have much smell compared to Cheonggukjang. Seven varieties of Saengcheonggukjang were investigated and compared in terms of 100 seed weight, quality characteristics, hard seed rate, and water absorption rate in order to determine the suitability of Korean soybeans. In addition, each characteristic of Saengcheonggukjang was compared. 'Hoseo' and 'Haewon' showed low 100 seed weight with 8.41 g and 8.11 g, respectively. The water absorption rate was higher in 'Hoseo' and 'Pungwon' than in Japan varieties. The yield of Saengcheonggukjang was significantly different for each variety. No differences were observed in yield and hardness of Saengcheonggukjang with respect to the varieties and sowing date. 'Haewon' showed the highest amino nitrogen content with 575.0 mg%. Viscous material content did not appear to differ between varieties. These results suggested that 'Hoseo' and 'Haewon' can be considered as suitable candidates for yield and quality of Saengcheonggukjang compared to Japan varieties.
구급대원의 업무 범위 인식에 대한 질적 주제 분석 : 간호사 자격을 가진 구급대원을 중심으로

본 연구는 간호사 자격을 가진 구급대원들이 자신들의 업무 범위에 대해 어떻게 인식하고 있는지 구급대원 9명을인터뷰하여 그 자료를 주제 분석 방법으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 세 개의 대주제와 10개의 부주제가 도출되었다. 참여자들은 자신들의 업무 범위에 대해 1급 응급구조사의 업무 범위와 같다, 간호사 자격을 가진 구급대원의 업무범위가 더 넓다, 문제가 되는 업무 범위를 알고 있다, 구급지도의사의 의료지도에 따라 업무 범위가 결정된다 등으로명확하게 알지 못하였다. 또한, 법적 보호를 받을 수 있을지 불안하다, 지침의 법적 효력에 대해 신뢰하지 못한다,직업 정체성에 혼란이 있다 등의 불안과 불신이 있었다. 반면, 현장 응급처치는 응급구조사 자격의 구급대원이 더숙련되어 있다, 간호학 자체가 병원 전 단계 응급 환자에 대한 교육이 부족하다, 서로 잘하는 영역이 다르다고 인식하고 있었다. 향후, 구급대원의 업무 범위를 명확히 하는 제도적인 뒷받침이 뒤따라야 할 것으로 보인다. This study aims to explore how emergency medical service (EMS) providers with registered nurses perceive their practicescope in Korea. This qualitative study analyzed the interview data of nine EMS providers with registered nurses using Braunand Clarke’s thematic analysis. Three themes and 10 subthemes were revealed. Theme 1 was “not clearly knowing thescope.” They perceived their scope as similar to that of a first-grade emergency medical technicians (EMTs), as wider thanthat of EMTs scope, as focused on the controversial scope, it is determined according to the medical director. Theme 2was “anxiety and distrust.” They were concerned whether they can be protected legally by the practice guideline, showedno confidence in the legal protection of the practice guideline, and were confused about their professional identity. Theme3 was “different strengths in practices.” They reported that EMTs are more experienced and skillful in the prehospital field,as nurses lack education on prehospital emergency. However, they have different strengths from the beginning such aspatient’s care. For ensuring stability of and consistency in the provided service, the practice scope of EMS providers withregistered nurses needs to be clearly stipulated.
A Study on the Effect of Ginseng Saponin Fraction on Cell Wall(II) : Cell Wall of Bacillus subtilis

본 실험에서는 인삼 주 성분 중의 하나인 saponin 분획이 Bacillus subtilis의 성장, U-$^{14}C$-glucose의 uptake 속도, lysis 및 세포벽 등에 미치는 영향을 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 0.3% 인삼 saponin 분획이 첨가된 배지에서 자란 B. subtilis의 성장속도는 control 배지에서 자라난 것 보다 배양 시작한지 6시간 후 부터 빨라졌다. 2. 0.3% 인삼 saponin 분획이 첨가된 배지에서 자란 B. subtilis는 control 배지에서 자란 것보다 U-$^{14}C$-glucose의 uptake 속도가 빨라졌다. 3. 0.3% 인삼 saponin 분획이 첨가된 배지에서 자란 B. subtilis의 lysozyme에 의한 lysis는 control 배지에서 자란 것 보다 빠르다. 4. 광학 및 전자 현미경의 관찰에 의하면 0.3% 인삼 saponin 분획이 첨가된 배지에서 자란 B. subtilis와 control 배지에서 자란 B. subtllis 사이에는 세포벽의 변화가 있었다. Cell wall of B. subtilis grown on medium containing 0.3 % saponin fraction was different from that of B. subtilis grown on medium without it.

무릎 골종양 검출은 의료진단 보조 시스템 구현에 있어서 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 지금까지 제시된 방법 중 입력 X-ray 영상에서 종양을 검출하고 이를 분류하는 기능이 모두 포함된 end-to-end 시스템은 없다. 본 논문에서는 다중 딥러닝에 기반한 end-to-end 시스템을 제안한다. 이를 위해 우리는 영상내 종양부분에 대한 거리변환으로부터 다단계 마스크를 생성하고, 이를 해당 종양의 의미론적 정보를 추출하는 신경망의 guided filter로 활용한다. 또한, 제안된 신경망 구조는 종양의 분할과 분류 과정을 학습하는 과정에서 정규화하는 효과를 포함하고 있다. 제안된 신경망 모델이 전남대학교병원에서 구축한 데이터셋에 대해 다른 기법들보다 우수한 성능을 보임을 입증하였다. Knee bone tumor detection plays an essential role in assisting the clinical diagnosis process. To the best of our knowledge, there is no method to integrate end-to-end segmentation and classification for this problem. In this paper, we propose a multi-task deep learning architecture for classification and segmentation of the tumor regions in the knee bone. Also, we introduce multi-level distance masks from the distance transform of tumor region, and these multi-level distance masks have a role as a guided filter in enabling the network to capture semantic data around tumor regions. Besides, the architecture has a regularizing effect on the learning process between segmentation and classification. Our model was evaluated on the Chonnam National University Hospital dataset and achieved good performance compared to other methods.
Aspergillus속 균주를 이용한 콩 발효물의 이화학적 특성

In this study, the properties of the substances fermented soybean producted by manufacturing with several Aspergillus strains were investigated. The five soybean cultivar that includes miso, jinpung, pyeongwon, cheonga and chamol were used in this experiment. The pH and total acidity were 6.30~6.66%, and 0.27~0.48%, respectively with differences depending on the samples. The color values for L value, a, and b value were 60.28~69.80, 0.64~3.68, and 11.48~31.21, respectively. The amylase activities, protease activities, and amino-type nitrogen of the jinpung samples were the highest among all cultivars. The mold counts the fermented soybean products by cultivars were 6.18~9.14 log CFU/g, and miso was the highest. Free amino acid and organic acid contents were highest in the jinpung and showed different composition depending on each sample. A total of 18 volatile aroma-compounds, including two acids, four alcohols, four ketones, three phenols, one furan, three pyrazines, and one miscellaneous compounds. In conclusion, it is expected that manufacturing A. oligze inoculation fermented soybean products using jinpung cultivar will improve quality.
