In Oriental medicine, there has been a theory that the deficiency of the Qi(氣) and the Phlegm(濕)-Damp(痰) bring Obesity. And so a clinically representative herb-medicine of the obesity treatments is Chegameyiin-tang . We observed the effects of Chegameyiin-tang on the fat tissues and what the function of Chegameyiin-tang is. These experimental studies were designed to investigate the effects of Chegameyiin-tang on the weight and lipid metabolism of obesity rats induced by high fat diet. And what is changed in the blood and how the leptin and uncoupled protein is affected. The measurement has been performed on (1) the weight of obese rats fed high fat diet, (2) the average size and number of epididymal fat cells, (3) the total cholesterol, triglyceride, glucose. and free fatty acids in the blood. and (4) the leptin and uncoupled protein in the blood are observed. The results are as follows; 1. In the sample group, the weight decrease occured significantly throughout the whole research period than that of control group. 2. In the sample group, epididymal fat weight showed significantly decrease in the 8th and 14th weeks than that of control group.3. In the sample group, epididymal fat cell size was decreased significantly in the 8th and 14th weeks than that of control group. 4. In the sample group, total cholesterol. triglyceride and glucose increased rather than control group in 8 weeks, those decreased significantly in 14 weeks. 5. In the sample group, free fatty acids and insulin increased rather than control group in 8 weeks. those showed some decrease in 14 weeks . 6. In the sample group, leptin decreased significantly than control group in 8, 14 weeks. Uncoupled protein showed some decrease in 8 weeks. that decreased significantly in 14 weeks.

Bond strength of luting cements to dentin is a critical consideration for success of complete cast crowns. This study was performed to evaluate the relationship between surface characteristics of teeth prepared for complete cast crowns and retention of cemented restorations. Eighty artificial crowns were cast for standardized complete crown tooth preparations accomplished with the use of a special device on recently extracted human teeth. Coarse diamond(#102R, Shofu) and superfine finishing diamond(#SF102R, Shofu) burs of similar shape were used. Crowns in each group were randomly subdivided into few subgroups of 10 for luting cements selected for this study: zinc phosphate cement (FLECK' S), polycarboxylate cement (Poly-F), rein-forced glass ionomer cement (Fuji PLUS). and adhesive resin cement (Panavia 21). Retention was evaluated by measuring the tensile load required to dislodge the artificial crown from tooth preparations with an Instron testing machine, and analysed by one-way ANOVA and Student's t-test. The obtained results were as follows ; 1. When tooth preparation was done with coarse diamond bur, retentive force was diminished in order of Panavia 21 Fuji PLUS, FLECK'S, and Poly-F. Retentive forces showed the significant difference between Fuji PLUS group and FLECK'S group(p<0.001). 2. When tooth preparation was done with superfine diamond bur, retentive force was diminished in order of Fuji PLUS, Panavia 21, FLECK'S, and Poly-F. Retentive forces showed the significant difference between Panavia 21 group and FLECK'S group(p<0.001). 3. Retentive force in coarse tooth surfaces was significantly higher than that in superfine tooth surface with all luting cements(p<0.001), and cement residues were almost retained with-in the cast crown in all groups.

Xylazine hydrochloride is a widely used analgesic, sedative and muscle relaxant agent in veterinary clinic. Yohimbine hydrochloride and 4-aminopyridine are known as antagonists of xylazine hydrochloride. This paper was investigated to know that the effect of xylazine hydrochloride, yohimbine hydrochloride and 4-aminopyridine, and that whether or not antagonism of yohimbine hydrochloride and 4-aminopyridine to xylazine hydrochloride-induced effect on gizzard motility in chicken. The results were as follows. 1. After xylazine hydrochloride administration, the gizzard motility in chicken was instantly inhibited in relaxation state, and this state was prolonged in proportion to increase of dose. 2. After yohimbine hydrochloride administration, the gizzard motility in chicken showed increase of contractile frequency. 3. After 4-aminopyridine administration, the gizzard motility in chicken was gradually recovered next to decrease of contractile amplitude and frequency. 4. After the combination of yohimbine hydrochloride and 4-aminopyridine administration, the gizzard motility in chicken showed increase of amplitude and radical increase of frequency. 5. After xylazine hydrochloride administration, the relaxation time was shortened by yohimbine hydrochloride, 4-aminopyridine and the combination of yohimbine hydrochloride and 4-aminopyridine. In conclusion, the gizzard motility in chicken was inhibited by xylazine hydrochloride, and this effect was antagonized by the combination of yohimbine hydrochloride and 4-aminopyridine.
