        Rowell 증후군

        Rowell`s syndrome is a rare and distinct clinical entity that has been described as lupus erythematosus associated with erythema multiforme-like lesions with the immunological findings of speckled antinuclear antibodies and positive tests for anti-Ro/La antibodies and rheumatoid factor. We report here on a case of discoidlupus erythematosus in a 39-year-old woman with targetoid eruptions on both palms, the lower legs and soles and she also showed abnormal immunoserologic findings. Most of these features were consistent with Rowell`s syndrome. (Korean J Dermatol 2009;47(9):1063∼1066)

        수용성 공액고분자/그래핀 옥사이드 복합체를 이용한 유기태양전지의정공수송층에 대한 연구

        Poly[(9,9-bis((6`-(N,N,N-trimethylammonium)hexyl)-2,7-fluorene)-alt-(9,9-bis(2-(2-(2-methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl)-9-fluorene)) dibromide(WPF-6-oxy-F)]와 graphene oxide(GO)를 혼합하여 WPF-6-oxy-F-GO를 제조한 후 공기 중에서 감마선을 조사하였다. WPF-6-oxy-F-GO 복합재는 유기태양전지(organic solar cells, OSCs)의 정공수송층(holetransporting layer, HTL)으로서 적용하였다. GO와 비교해 보았을 때, 조사된 WPF-6-oxy-F-GO의 면저항(sheet resistance,Rsheet)은 약 2배 정도 감소하였다. 이는 감마선 조사를 통하여 WPF-6-oxy-F와 GO 사이의 C-N 결합의 형성으로 인한 π-π 공유 결합의 영향과 효율적인 packing 때문이다. 결과적으로, 조사된 WPF-6-oxy-F-GO를 정공수송층으로 적용하였을 때 유기태양전지의 효율은 6.10%까지 증가하였다. 수용성 고분자 WPF-6-oxy-F-GO는 정공수송층으로서 사용되고 있는 PEDOT:PSS를 대체하는 대안 소재로서, 높은 효율과 저가의 유기태양전지를 구현할 수 있을것으로 기대된다. The poly[(9,9-bis((6`-(N,N,N-trimethylammonium)hexyl)-2,7-fluorene)-alt-(9,9-bis(2-(2-(2-methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl)-9-fluorene)) dibromide (WPF-6-oxy-F)] and graphene oxide (GO) was blended and irradiated with gamma rayunder ambient condition. This WPF-6-oxy-F-GO composite was investigated as a hole-transporting layer (HTL) inorganic solar cells (OSCs). Compared with the pristine GO, the sheet resistance (Rsheet) of irradiated WPF-6-oxy-F-GOwas decreased about 2 orders of magnitude. The reason for the decrease of Rsheet is the effect of efficient π-π packingresulted from the formation of C-N bond between WPF6-oxy-F and GO. As a result, the efficiency of OSCs was dramaticallyenhanced ~ 6.10% by introducing irradiated WPF-6-oxy-F-GO as a HTL. WPF-6-oxy-F-GO is a sufficient candidatefor HTL to facilitate the low-cost and high efficiency OSCs.

        인공피부모델을 이용한 LTE 대역 전자파의 피부 영향 연구

        Skin is located on the outermost layer of body, which poses it to easy and frequent exposure to toxic chemicals, physical stimuli and environmental contaminants. Depending on the stimuli, outcomes of skin toxicity may differ, which include commonly observed, and evident skin reactions like skin burn, irritation, sensitization, phototoxicity, or photosensitivity. Less common reactions like pigmentary disorders, urticaria, and fibrosis can also occur. Effects of sunlight on the skin have been well established and with this, radiations with longer wavelength are gathering interest for their effects on the skin health. In this study, we investigated the effects of electromagnetic field (EMF) of LTE bandwidth, 1.742 GHz, SAR 6-8 W/kg on the skin by using an artificial human skin model. The results indicated that EMF exposure does not have much effect on epidermal cytotoxicity or obvious pigmentation in the skin, but it has a slight effect on skin epidermal integrity and melanocyte activation. The mechanism and the final outcome of EMF exposure should be further studied through more scientific studies and various molecular biochemical studies.

      • 스마트 홈 환경에서의 IoT 기기 제어를 위한 손 포스처 인식 기술 개발

        최근 생활 환경이 점점 지능화되면서, 사용자들이 간단하고 자연스러운 방법으로 IoT(Internet of Things) 기기와의 상호작용을 지원하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이러한 스마트 홈 환경에서 제스처를 이용한 인터페이스를 제공하기 위해서는 먼저 사용자의 의도를 전달하기 위해 정확한 손 포스처 인식이 필요하다. 이에, 본 논문은 깊이 카메라를 와딥러닝 모델을 이용하여 획득한 사용자 손 관절 정보를 기반으로 한 손 포스처 인식 기술을 제안한다. 먼저 획득한 관절 정보를 유의미한 특징 데이터로 유도하였으며 이를 다층 퍼셉트론을 사용하여 다양한 손 포스처 인식이 가능함을 보였다. 실험 결과 제안하는 기법은 95%의 손 포스처 인식율을 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였고, 또한 제안하는 기법을 기반으로 스마트 홈 환경에서 IoT 기기를 제어할 수 있는 시나리오를 제안하였다.

        증강현실의 수요가 높아짐에 따라 가상 물체와의 상호작용을 위해서 손 포스처를 이용한 인터페이스 연구가 제안되고 있다. 손 포스처는 사용자 친화적이고 직관적인 상호작용이 가능하여 각광받고 있다. 사용자의 의도를 정확하게 전달하는 손 포스처 인터페이스를 위해선 정확한 손 포스처 인식이 필요하다. 이에, 본 논문은 Inertial Measurement Unit 센서 기반 데이터 글러브를 사용하여 센서로부터 획득한 손의 회전 정보를 기반으로 한 손 포스처 인식방법을 제안한다. 먼저 데이터 글러브로부터 수집한 데이터를 유의미한 특징 데이터로 유도하였으며 이를 다층 퍼셉트론을 사용하여 동작을 구분하였다. 실험결과 본 논문에서 유도한 특징 벡터를 사용하여 제다양한 손 포스처 인식이 가능함을 보였다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 기법으로 증강현실에서의 손 포스처 기반사용자 인터페이스로 또한 활용할 것으로 기대된다.

      • 영어로 진행하는 영어수업에서의 교재와 멀티미디어 사용실태 및 활용방안 연구

        The goal of this study is to investigate the use of English textbooks and multimedia in TETE in secondary school classrooms and to provide some suggestions for successful TETE. Questionnaires were administered to 111 middle and high school teachers. Of the sample, nine teachers are selected as a focus group for an interview. According to the results of the survey, most teachers showed a positive attitude towards preparing TETE. They spent relatively more time preparing materials for TETE compared with teaching English through Korean. Between female and male teachers in high school, female teachers showed a more proactive attitude compared to male teachers. Second, the majority of teachers had negative perceptions towards English textbooks currently used for TETE. Thus they used supplementary materials in addition to the textbooks. Female high school teachers thought that current textbooks were not suitable for TETE compared to female middle school teachers. Third, teachers thought that use of multimedia could be helpful in the TETE classroom, and most teachers responded that they were using multimedia in the classroom. Female teachers used multimedia more than male teachers did. Fourth, teachers wished that the current textbooks included a variety of topics that met students`` interests. Teachers also wanted ease of access to materials for effective use of multimedia. The findings of the study suggest some useful implications for making TETE productive and effective.

        다양한 색소 질환에서 Foxn1 발현과 색소침착의 관련성에 관한 연구

        Background: Transfer of melanosomes from melanocytes to the neighboring keratinocytes is a critical step in normal pigmentation. However, the mechanism of melanosome transfer and the regulation of pigmentation by the keratinocyte-melanocyte interactions are not well understood. It has recently been identified that keratinocytes use Foxn1 (transcription factor) to recruit melanocytes and induce their own pigmentation. Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the expression of Foxn1 in hypopigmentary disorders (vitiligo, pityriasis alba (P. alba) and postinflammatory hypopigmentation (PIHo)) and hyperpigmentary disorders (melasma, cafe-au-lait macule (CALM) and postinflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIHer)). Methods: Immunohistochemical staining was performed on the formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections of hypopigmentary and hyperpigmentary disorders using anti-Foxn1 antibody with an avidin-biotin peroxidase complex procedure. The intraepidermal melanin pigments were examined in all the lesions by Fontana-Masson staining. Results: We found a significantly lower Foxn1 expression (p<0.05) and less intraepidermal melanin pigments (p<0.01) in the hypopigmentary disorders as compared to that of the hyperpigmentary disorders. In the hypopigmentary disorders such as vitiligo, P. alba and PIHo, the expression of Foxn1 was decreased in the order named. In thehyperpigmentary disorders such as CALM, PIHer and melasma, the expression of Foxn1 was increased in the order named. Conclusion: The intraepidermal Foxn1 expression and melanin pigments in PIHer, PIHo and melasma showed a positive correlation, but there was no statistically significant. Our findings suggest that the expression of Foxn1 might be associated with the pathogenesis of three pigment disorders (PIHo, PIHer, melasma). We consider that inflammatory mediators might interact with the intraepidermal Foxn1 expression in PIHo, PIHer and melasma, resulting in an abnormality of the mechanism of melanosome transfer. Further studies are warranted to elucidate the role of the Foxn1 expression in the pathogenesis of pigment disorders. (Korean J Dermatol 2009;47(10):1113∼1119)

        엉덩이에 발생한 울타리 모양의 호중구성 육아종성 피부염

        Palisaded neutrophilic and granulomatous dermatitis (PNGD) is an uncommon condition that has been reported under several different names in association with various disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. We report a 60-year-old man with rheumatoid arthritis who presented with two, erythematous, asymptomatic nodules on the buttock. The histologic examination showed that degenerated collagen, neutrophilic dust, neutrophils, fibrin, and mucin were present in the centers of the palisades of histiocytes throughout the dermis. After initiation of intralesional steroid injections, the lesions improved. The lesions recurred 2 months later, but, as before, improved after treatment with intralesional steroid injections.         구리이온(Cu++)이 물벼룩의 만성독성에 미치는 영향; Daphnia magna, Daphnia sp. and Moina macrocopa

        This study was focused on the estimation of the effect of copper ions on the chronical ecotoxicity of water fleas including Daphnia sp., Moina macrocopa and Daphnia magna. With long term exposure of copper ions, rates of growth, reproduction and transformation of each species were examined. Experiments were carried out for over 21days for Daphnia magna and Daphnia sp. and over 10days for Moina macrocopa with concentration of copper ions of 0, 1, 3, 5, 10 ug/L in culture media. There was decreasing tendency of the survival rate observed of water fleas, as the increase of copper ion concentration in culture media. The time required for first birth of water fleas was less in Moina macrocopa, followed by Daphnia sp. and Daphnia magna. But, longer periods were required with increase of copper ions in every species. For testing period, the number of transformation of every species was decreased with the increase of copper ion. Rapid decrease of transformation rate was observed at Daphnia magna and Daphnia sp. with increase of copper ions. The size of neonates, born from the survived adult water flea was significantly smaller with increase of toxic concentration. Also, the number of water flea produced per day was decreased in the order of Daphnia magna, Daphnia sp. and Moina macrocopa. Also, the death rate of neonate was increased with increase of copper ions in order of Daphnia magna > Daphnia sp. > moina macrocopa. The sensitivity of tested water fleas for the toxicant(Cu) was in order of Daphnia magna > Daphnia sp. > moina macrocopa.
