Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the effects of performing the half squat exercise with Kinesio taping (HSEKT) on trunk and lower extremity muscle activity and balance ability in general university students. Methods: The 32 participants were randomly assigned to either the HSEKT group (half squats with Kinesio taping) or the control group (half squats with sham Kinesio taping). Both groups performed half squats with either Kinesio taping (HSEKT group) or sham Kinesio taping (control group) for 30 min/day, 3 times/week for 6 weeks. The Noraxon mini direct transmission system (DTS) electromyography (EMG) system was used to evaluate trunk and lower extremity muscle activity. BioRescue equipment was used to measure the movement area of the center of pressure with eyes open and eyes closed. The muscle activity of the trunk and lower extremities and the balance ability of all participants were measured before and after the intervention. An independent t-test was used to statistically analyze the pre- and post-intervention EMG and balance ability results. Results: The trunk and lower extremity muscle activity was found to have significantly improved in the HSEKT group and the control group after the intervention (p < 0.05). Also, the balance ability of the HSEKT group differed significantly after 6 weeks of training compared to that of the control group (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The findings of this study show that performing half squats with Kinesio taping had a positive effect on trunk and lower extremity muscle activity and balance ability in general university students.
EGML 기반 이동 객체 검출 알고리듬의 하드웨어 구현

영상에서 움직임이 있는 객체 영역을 검출하기 위한 이동 객체 검출(moving object detection; MOD) 알고리듬을 EGML(effective Gaussian mixture learning) 기반 배경 차분 방법을 적용하여 하드웨어로 설계하였다. EGML 계산 일부의 근사화를 통해 하드웨어 복잡도를 줄였으며, 파이프라이닝 적용을 통해 동작속도를 개선하였다. Verilog-HDL을 이용하여 하드웨어를 설계하였으며, MATLAB/Simulink와 FPGA가 연동된 FPGA- in-the-loop 환경에서 하드웨어 동작을 검증하였다. 설계된 MOD 프로세서는 XC5VSX95T FPGA 디바이스에서 2,218 슬라이스로 구현되었으며, 102 MHz의 클록 주파수로 동작하여 102 MS/s의 처리율을 갖는 것으로 평가되었다. IEEE CDW-2012 데이터 세트의 12가지 영상에 대해 MOD 프로세서의 성능을 분석한 결과, 평균 recall 값은 0.7631, 평균 precision 값은 0.7778, 그리고 평균 F-measure 값은 0.7535로 각각 평가되었다. A hardware implementation of MOD(moving object detection) algorithm using EGML(effective Gaussian mixture learning)- based background subtraction to detect moving objects in video is described. Some approximations of EGML calculations are applied to reduce hardware complexity, and pipelining technique is adopted to improve operating speed. The MOD processor designed in Verilog-HDL has been verified by FPGA-in-the-loop verification using MATLAB/Simulink. The MOD processor has 2,218 slices on the Virtex5-XC5VSX95T FPGA device and its throughput is 102 MSamples/s at 102 MHz clock frequency. Evaluation results of the MOD processor for 12 images in the IEEE CDW-2012 dataset show that the average recall value is 0.7631, the average precision value is 0.7778 and the average F-measure value is 0.7535.
키네시오 테이핑을 병행한 후방보행훈련이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 하지 근력 및 보행에 미치는 영향

Purpose: The objective of the present study was to examine the effects of Kinesio taping with backward walking training (KTBW) on muscle strength of lower extremity and gait ability in post-stroke patients. Design: Randomized controlled trial. Method: Participants included 27 post stroke patients and were randomly distributed into two groups: KTBW group received Kinesio taping with backward training (n=13), control group receive general physical therapy (n=14). Intervention was given five times a week, a total of four weeks. The subjects evaluated the muscle strength test and walking ability before and 4 weeks after the experiment. Muslce strength of lower extremity was measured by digital manual muscle test. Gait ability was measured by G-walk. Result: After training, the KTBW group showed significant improvement in muscle strength of the lower extremity compared to the control group (p<0.05). KTBW group showed significant improvement in gait ability compared to the control group (p<0.05). Conclusion: These finding show the benefits of the Kinesio taping with backward walking training on the muscle strength of lower extremity and gait ability in post stroke patients.
고속 웹 이송속도 및 복잡한 롤 패턴 형상을 고려한 R2R공정에서의 잉크전달 특성 해석

Ink transfer process from the printing roll to the moving web was investigated using a CFD technique for the application in R2R printed electronics. In line with the requirement that the web handling speed needs to be increased further for the cost competitiveness, the effects of web moving velocity with relatively complex roll patterns were analyzed. To make the present analysis more realistic, the numerical geometry and the ink properties were selected to match those of the real printing production system. Our numerical results showed that both web handling speed and complex printing-roll patterns influenced the shape of the transferred ink. As the web moving speed approaches towards 30mpm, a significant distortion of the shape of the transferred ink occurred. In the range of pattern width smaller than 100 microns, a phase distortion was also found to occur in all the printing-roll patterns considered in the present work but the ratio of the phase distortion to the line width gets smaller as the width becomes smaller. Thus, the web handling speed and the shape of printing-roll pattern will be important elements for the better printing quality under 100 micron line width range.

Fat embolism syndrome is a serious complication that can occur after trauma or operation of the limbs. Clinical criteria are used for the diagnosis of fat embolism syndrome and sometimes radiologic findings are helpful. Fat embolism syndrome is known to occur less frequently in children than in adults, but there is an increased risk in children with connective tissue disease. However, there are only a few reported cases of fat embolism syndrome in juvenile rheumatoid arthritis which is the most common connective tissue disease in children. We report a case of fat embolism syndrome diagnosed in a 13-year-old boy with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, which was treated with corticosteroid. (Allergy Asthma Respir Dis 1(1):94-97, 2013)

A manufacturing company should produce its products and make a profit to continue its management. With the adoption of a multi-category small-volume production system, manufacturers that produce concrete pump-cine products are carrying out improvement activities to increase their market share amid the business-to-customer business environment. However, the slump in the construction investment environment has led to a decline in sales of concrete pump trucks. The purpose of holding inventory is to prevent loss of sales opportunities with the rate of change in the sales plan, and reducing the rate of change in the product can reduce unnecessary inventory and, in order to realize this, the goal of reducing inventory can be achieved by reviewing the parts that can be designed for common use. Therefore, to reduce the inventory of concrete pump trucks, semi-finished publicization design is necessary. According to the analysis, the frame assembly process of the 32M model is common. Production capacity can be secured without loss of sales opportunity.
도담탕(導痰湯)이 고지혈증 흰쥐의 뇌허혈 손상에 미치는 영향

Objectives : Dodam-tang has been reported to have a control effect against the hyperlipidemia and thrombosis. Based upon these previous reports, this study investigates the effects of Dodam-tang on the cerebral ischemic damage of the hyperlipidemic rats. Methods : Hyperlipidemia was induced by the beef tallow 30% diet for 14 days on Sprague-Dawley rats. Ischemic damage was induced by the middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) for 2 hours with the intraluminal thread method. Then water extract of Dodam-tang was administered daily for 5 days. The effect of Dodam-tang was evaluated with the serum lipids, infarct volume and edema percentage, and immunohistochemical expressions of iNOS, MMP-9, and GFAP in the brain tissue. Results : The obtained results were as follows; Dodam-tang reduced significantly the infarct size in a TTC-stained 5th brain section of the hyperlipidemic MCAO rats. Dodam-tang suppressed the infarct volume of the hyperlipidemic MCAO rats, but not significant statistically. Dodam-tang suppressed the edema percentage of the hyperlipidemic MCAO rats significantly in the brain tissue. Dodam-tang suppressed significantly the iNOS expression in the cerebral penumbra and caudate putamen of the hyperlipidemic MCAO rats. Dodam-tang suppressed significantly the MMP-9 expression in the cerebral penumbra of the hyperlipidemic MCAO rats. Dodam-tang suppressed significantly the GFAP-expressed atrocytes in the cerebral penumbra of the hyperlipidemic MCAO rats. Conclusions : These results suggest that Dodam-tang suppresses the brain edema formation through the suppression of the iNOS, MMP-9 and GFAP, but the neuroprotective effect against the cerebral infarct are not distinct.
