Adaptive safety system and electrification of powertrain for improving fuel efficiency have led to the rapid progress of electrification. Therefore, power consumption is also rapidly increasing, and the effect on fuel efficiency is also increasing. In this paper, we compare the efficiency of various electrical architectures. The efficiency of the electrical system can vary due to the arrangement of 12V / 48V batteries, DC-DC converters, and 12V / 48V loads. Therefore, Dynamic programming, which is a global optimization technique, was used for comparison of various electric architectures according to the arrangement of each of the components constituting the electrical architectures. Dynamic programming was performed for each architecture, and the fuel efficiency of each architecture was derived. As a result, the high efficiency electrical architecture was derived.

A new concept of a low power research reactor (LPRR) has been proposed by KAERI (Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute), which is composed of a core support structure, a core box, core components with fuel assemblies, and four control rod drive mechanisms. In this study, dynamic characteristics of the reactor structure assembly submerged in the reactor pool are investigated using finite element method. As a result of modal analysis, it is found that the reactor structure assembly can be considered rigid against the external excitations. The reactor structure assembly has no resonances in the frequency range below the cutoff frequency of the typical floor response spectrum (FRS).

The purpose of qualification tests on a prototype SSDM is to verify that the design of SSDM is adequate for its design requirements before the construction of production units. The qualification test consist of performance test, followed by endurance test and seismic test. The requirements for endurance test are the most basic ones for confirming the SSDM design prior to qualification tests. This paper shows the withdrawal and drop endurance test of the prototype SSDM for KIJANG Research Reactor (KJRR) satisfies the related requirements which is constructed in accordance with the equivalent quality assurance procedure for the production unit.

The objective of this research is to calculate the reaction forces of anchor bolts and embedment plate of reactor assembly for KIJANG Research Reactor (KJRR) due to seismic excitations. The reaction forces of anchor bolts and embedment plate of reactor assembly were determined by utilizing modal analysis and response spectrum analysis. The seismic excitations for response spectrum analysis were assumed the results of floor response spectrum at the reactor pool bottom. Also, the pretension for installation of the anchor bolt of reactor assembly was calculated by using the reaction forces.
