The existing general radiography of the Temporomandibular joint(TMJ) only uses the fixed images with patient’s mouth open and closed for the diagnoses and remedies. However, there is a weak point that the moving path of the condyle from the articular fossa couldn’t be seen. To deal with this problem, we made moving images of the TM joint from mouth closed to widely open. The purpose of this article is to evaluate the CINE method for the TM joint and to compare with the MRI Cine images in order to provide new approaches to diagnoses and remedies. Using the TMJ-only device tool that the width can be controled by millimeters the movement of the TMJ from closed to fully open is exposed about 6- 8 times. Each image is used for the TMJ Cine image by the Adobe image ready program. The TMJ moving images of this study were sended to the specialist of the musculoskeletaJ reading at the department of diagnostic radiology, reading specialist of the department of oral and maxillofacial radiology and specialist of the TMJ at the department of oral medicine for the estimation of clinical usefulness. The producted TMJ moving images well represent the TMJ movement and the changes of the bone while the MRI TMJ moving images well represent the relationship among the condyle, disk and muscles.
