        이문열『변경』의 탈식민주의적 성격에 관한 연구

          The saga novel 『The Border』 by Lee Moon-yeol describes the process of change from imperialism age, the phase of counteract against the oppression of the ruling power, to the phase of creating a new form of power through the literature as transferring from Whang Sok-hyun to Kim Shi-hyung. Whether it is counteract or creation, whichever case it takes, it is the same in the point that it recognizes just one center. Pessimism toward the history exists in the consciousness in which everything except Rome should be oppressed. In other words, 『The Border』 can be read as the declaration of resignation of resistance against the order of control and subordination and the stubborn logic of imperialism.   Therefore, I feel the lack of which 『The Border』 has not developed the viewpoint of literature of In-chul up to the point of more active interpretation of history. It would be the best choice to crack the logic of the empire and to escape from the bridle of the logic which had restrained his family even though to live as an outsider is not the choice but the insistence of his fate. If the literature of In-chul would have been the advance base to attack the blind side of the power as the spokesperson of the ideology of the upper elite, the evaluation of 『The Border』 would had been much different. If it have been, it would not had remained just a mere metaphor that the most strong oppression and the most productive alternatives come from the inner shell of the old. So it is the pessimism of the form of optimism that In-chul has set the literature as the new center and run for it fiercely. It is optimism that he think it possible to approach to the new center through the literature, while it is pessimism that he can not escape from the old logic of control and subordination forever. The imperialism does not have the outside. 『The Border』 is the pessimistic report about the history and the future of the human beings who survive in the border of the empire in the age of imperialism in whichever form it expands ceaselessly.   Of course this pessimism does not restrict in the reality of 1960s. There are not more borders expanding nor the excitement of setting new frontiers, however, it has been long that the imperialism has possessed the entire earth by taking a new name as the globalization not as the specific territory but as the cultural name. Even though they stand against the imperialism as the name of the post-colonialism, the spirit and culture of outsider do not escape from the limits of the occidental. The imperialism and the border have been the unchangeable truth. In this point, 『The Border』 can be the sign not only of the 1960s but also of the gloomy present and future of global village age in which it consists of one center and immense borders. This is the meaning of the saga novel 『The Border』.

        추출방법에 따른 톳 추출물의 항산화 및 생리활성 특성

        톳의 산업적 활용도 증진을 위하여 다양한 추출방법(열수, 고온가압, 초고압)을 이용하여 항산화 및 생리활성 특성을 평가하였다. 총 폴리페놀 및 플라보노이드 함량의 경우 전체적으로 가압가열 추출물에서 각각 30.51 mg/g, 4.78 mg/g으로 높은 함량을 나타내었다. 추출방법에 따른 톳 추출물의 항산화 활성을 평가하고자 DPPH와 ABTS 라디칼 소거활성 및 환원력을 실시하였으며 그 결과, 모든 실험구에서 농도 의존적으로 증가하는 경향을 보였으며 특히 고온가압 추출물이 전체적으로 높은 활성을 보였다. 그러나 지방산패 및 XO 억제활성의 경우 초고압 처리한 톳 추출물이 1 mg/mL의 농도에서 각각 61.93%, 33.68%로 가장 높은 활성을 나타내었다. 또한 tyrosinase 및 elastase 저해활성은 1 mg/mL의 농도에서 초고압 추출물이 각각 40.51%, 73.79%로 가장 높은 활성을 보였으며 고온가압, 열수의 순으로 나타났다. 톳의 경우 온도와 압력을 가했을 때 유용물질의 용출이 용이해져 다양한 항산화 및 생리활성을 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었으며 고온가압 및 초고압 추출물은 소재 활용가치가 높은 것으로 사료되며 기능성 증진을 위한 천연 식품소재로 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다. The physiological properties of extracts from Hizikia fusiforme with different extraction methods (hot water extraction, autoclave extraction and high pressure extraction) were investigated. The amounts of substances related to polyphenol and flavonoids contents were the highest in autoclave extract (30.51 mg/g and 4.78 mg/g, respectively). The DPPH radical scavenging activity was the highest in the autoclave extract (81.80%) at the 5 mg/mL. Autoclave extract exhibited the strongest ABTS radical scavenging activity and reducing power among the three extraction methods. However, ferrous ion chelating, TBA reactive substances and xanthine oxidase inhibition activity of high pressure extract were higher than those of the other extracts. Additionally, the tyrosinase and elastase inhibition activities of high pressure extract with a concentration of 1 mg/mL were higher than those of the other extracts. These results suggest that extracts of Hizikia fusiforme have a potential to act as functional materials, and autoclave and high pressure extractions are superior to hot water extraction for enhancement of the biological activity.

        다양한 보행속도와 경사각에 대한 보행수 검출을 위한 필터링 조건과 역치의 결정

        The purpose of this study is to determine optimal filtering condition and threshold for the detection of gait-cycles for various walkway slopes as well as gait velocities. Ten young healthy subjects with accelerometer system on thigh and ankle walked on a treadmill at 9 conditions (three speeds and three slopes) for 5 minutes. Two direction signals, i.e. anterior-posterior (AP) and superior-inferior (SI) directions, of each sensor (four sensor orientations) were used to detect specific events of gait cycle. Variation of the threshold (from -1G to 1G) and lowpass cutoff frequency (fc) were applied to the event detection and their performance was evaluated according to the error index (EI), which was defined as the combination of the accuracy and false positive rate. Optimal fc and threshold were determined for each slope in terms of the EI. The optimal fc, threshold and their corresponding EI depended much on the walkway slope so that their coefficients of variation (CV) ranged 19~120%. When all data for 3 slopes were used in the identification of optimal conditions for each sensor, the best error indices for all sensor orientations were comparable ranging 1.43~1.76%, but the optimal fc and threshold depended much on the sensor position. The result indicates that the gait-cycle detection robust to walkway slope is possible by threshold method with well-defined filtering condition and threshold.

        추출방법에 따른 쇠비름의 항산화, 생리활성 및 Acetylcholinesterase 저해활성

        쇠비름의 활용 및 생리활성을 증가시킬 수 있는 적정 추출방법을 알아보고자 환류냉각, 가압가열 및 저온고압 추출법을 이용하여 추출한 쇠비름 70% 에탄올 추출물의 생리활성을 비교하였다. 추출수율은 환류냉각추출, 가압가열추출, 저온고압추출 순으로 높은 수율을 나타내었다. 색도에서는 저온고압추출에서 명도와 황색도가 높았고, 채도의 경우 가압가열 및 저온고압추출에서 높았다. 폴리페놀 및 프로안토시아니딘 함량은 저온고압추출이 환류냉각 및 가압가열추출에 비해 높은 함량을 나타내었으며, 플라보노이드 함량은 가압가열추출에서 높은 함량을 나타내었다. 항산화 활성은 저온고압추출이 환류냉각 및 가압가열 추출에 비해 유의적으로 높은 활성을 나타낸 반면 철 이온에 대한 제거효과의 경우 환류냉각추출 및 가압가열추출에서 높은 활성을 나타내었다. α-Glucosidase 및 XO 저해활성은 저온고압추출에서 가장 높은 활성을 나타내었다. 한편 AChE 저해활성에서는 저온고압추출, 가압가열추출, 환류냉각추출 순으로 높은 활성을 나타내었고, TLC bioassay를 통하여 살펴본 결과 특정compound들에 의해 AChE 저해 활성이 나타났으며 퇴행성 질환의 하나인 치매의 예방 가능성을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 종합해 볼 때 저온고압추출물이 소재 활용가치가 높을 것으로 사료되며 천연항산화제 및 기능성 증진을 위한 소재로 이용 가능할 것으로 판단된다. The physiological properties of 70% ethanol extracts from Portulaca oleracea with different extraction methods (reflux extraction, RE; autoclave extraction, AE; low temperature high pressure extraction, LTPE) were investigated. The freeze-dried powder yields of RE, AE, and LTPE were 33.78%, 30.80%, and 11.05%, respectively. The color values of L and b were higher in LTPE, and the chroma values were higher in AE and LTPE compared to RE. The total polyphenolics and proanthocyanidin contents in LTPE were significantly higher than in other extracts. The amount of substances related to flavonoids contents was highest in RE (4.30 mg/g), followed by AE (4.06 mg/g), and LTPE (4.00 mg/g). DPPH radical scavenging ability with a concentration of 500 mg% (w/v) were in the following order; LTPE (88.87%)> RE (83.84%)> AE (80.67%). Further, the reducing power, ABTS radical scavenging ability, and nitrite scavenging activity was observed in the same tendency as seen with the DPPH radical scavenging ability. However, the ferrous ion chelating activity of RE (85.45%) and AE (83.88%) was significantly higher than that of LTPE (75.60%). α-Glucosidase inhibitory activities of RE and LTPE with a concentration of 100 mg% were significantly higher than AE. Xanthine oxidase, and acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activities of LTPE were higher than the other extracts. These results suggest that the extracts from Portulaca oleracea have the potential to act as functional materials, and components of Portulaca oleracea could be effective in the prevention of Alzheimer"s disease, and may be used to develop various functional food products.

        추출방법을 달리한 미역 및 다시마 과립차의 품질 및 항산화 특성

        This study was conducted to evaluate the quality and anti-oxidant characteristics of different granule tea variants (WSMGT: granule tea prepared from sea mustard hot water extract; ASMGT: granule tea prepared from sea mustard autoclave extract; WSTGT: granule tea prepared from sea tangle hot water extract; and ASTGT: granule tea prepared from sea tangle autoclave extract) from sea tangle and sea mustard powder. The Color of WSTGT showed the highest L*, b* values, and the lowest a* value. The water absorption binding agents in ASMGT were higher than those in WSMGT, WSTGT. and ASTGT. Binding agents on water absorption in ASMGT were higher than those of WSMGT, WSTGT, and ASTGT. The alginic acid content of ASMGT was highest. The total polyphenol and total flavonoid contents of ASMGT and ASTGT were highest. The electron donating ability and ferrous ion chelating activity in WSTGT greatly increased compared to those in the other granules tea variants. These results suggest that pressure extraction can be used in functional foods.

        보행 속도와 보행로 경사에 따른 대퇴상부와 발목상부에서의 가속도의 변화

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of gait speed and walkway slope on the body acceleration, for the future validation of using an accelerometer in the estimation of energy consumption. Ten young healthy subjects with accelerometers on the upper thigh and ankle walked on a treadmill at 9 conditions(three speeds × three slopes) for 5 minutes. Acceleration signals of four directions, i.e. anterior-posterior(AP), medio-lateral(ML), superior-inferior(SI) and vector sum(VS) directions, of each sensor were measured, and root means squared(RMS) values of them were used as analysis variables. As statistical analysis, repeated measure two-way ANOVA was performed for RMS accelerations at each attachment sites, with slope and velocity as independent factors. At both the upper thigh and ankle, RMS acceleration of all directions were affected by gait velocities(p<.001) showing greater accelerations for higher velocities. Contrary to expectations, no slope effect existed in RMS accelerations at hip. Moreover, RMS acceleraion at ankle decreased with slope in SI and VS directions(p<.01). These results suggests that RMS acceleration cannot reflect the change in physical activity due to the change in walkway slope.

        아밀로스 함량에 따른 쌀쿠키의 품질특성

        아밀로스 함량이 다른 진수미와 밀양261호 쌀가루를 첨가하여 제조한 쌀쿠키의 품질특성을 조사하였다. 반죽의 밀도는 진수미를 첨가한 쿠키가 쌀가루 첨가에 따라 감소하였으나 밀양261호는 첨가량에 따른 유의적인 차이는 없었으며, 반죽의 pH는 쌀가루 첨가에 따라 대조구에 비하여 낮은 값을 나타내었다. 쿠키의 수분함량은 쌀가루 함량이 많아짐에 따라 증가하였으며 특히 진수미 첨가 쿠키의 수분함량이 높았으며, 퍼짐성에서는 진수미와 밀양261호 첨가 쿠키 모두 쌀가루를 50% 대체한 쿠키가 대조구보다 유의적으로 높은 퍼짐성을 보였다. 쌀쿠키의 경도는 아밀로스 함량이 높을수록 낮아졌으며, 노화도 측정결과 저장 4일째 밀양261호 첨가쿠키는 30% 이상 첨가 시 경도의 변화가 거의 없어 노화에 큰 영향이 없었다. 관능평가 결과 대조구가 다른 쌀가루 첨가구보다 좋은 결과를 보였으며 쌀가루 함량이 높아질수록 색과 풍미, 경도 등에서 낮은 점수를 보여 쌀가루보다 밀가루의 풍미와 식감을 선호하는 것을 나타내었다. 이와 같은 결과를 통하여 밀양261호가 쌀쿠키 제조에 있어서 좋은 가공적성을 보였으며, 특히 쌀가루가 30% 이상 첨가된 쿠키는 노화에 대한 안정성을 보였다. Physicochemical and sensory characteristics of rice cookies prepared with various levels of amylose content were investigated in this study. Dough pH of Jinsumi and Milyang 261 cookies was decreased by addition of rice flour. Density of dough with 100% substituted Jinsumi flour had the largest value of 1.09 g/㎖, whereas that of Milyang 261 cookies showed no significant difference. Spread ratio of cookies was the largest in the cookies containing Jinsumi, and Milyang 261 constituted the 50% group. Preservation ability of Milyang 261 cookies surpassed above 30%. Lightness of Jinsumi and Milyang 261 cookies increased with increasing rice flour content. The results of our sensory evaluation demonstrated that the control sample was significantly more preferable in terms of overall acceptability compared to others. These results suggest that adding 30% Milyang 261 flour is the best substitution ratio for rice cookies.

        자이로센서를 이용한 특발성 파킨슨병 환자와 정상인의 손가락 벌렸다 오므리기 동작의 측정과 비교

        The purpose of this study is to compare finger tapping (FT) movement of patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) with normal subjects. A gyrosensor system was used for the measurement of FT movement, because it provides angular velocity free from the gravitational artifact and it can be used during clinical FT test listed in unified PD rating scale (UPDRS). Forty PD patients (age: 65.7 ${\pm}$ 11.1 yrs, H&Y stage:2.3 ${\pm}$ 0.5), 14 age-matched elderly subjects (65${\pm}$3.9 yrs) and 17 healthy young subjects (24${\pm}$2.1yrs) participated in this study. Angular velocity of finger tapping movement was measured in both right and left index finger. As quantitative measures, root-mean-squared (RMS) angular velocity, RMS angle, peak power and total power were used. ANOVA showed that all measures were significantly different among three groups (p<0.001) in all quantitative measures. Post-hoc test revealed that all quantitative measures except peak power in patients with PD were significantly smaller than in both healthy elderly and young subjects (p<0.01). This suggests that the measures developed in this study can distinguish patients with PD from normal subjects.
