This paper describes our analysis performed to predict the effect variations of localized temperature during fire events in steel columns using spray-applied fire resistive material (SFRM) on their flange. Steel columns with damaged SFRM exhibit reduced structural performance due to the localized effects of elevated temperature during a fire event. Thus, the fire load behavior of steel columns with removed or reduced SFRM needs to be examined to predict fire induced structural damage. There are very few studies on the fire resistance of steel structures. Therefore, to evaluate the fire resistance performance of steel columns with damaged SFRM, an analysis was performed using three steel columns [H-250×250×9×14, H-350×350×12×19, and H-428×407×20×35]. Heat transfer analysis was performed on the basis of the finite element program ABAQUS 6.8-1 using an ISO834 standard fire. The variables were removed thickness or length on the flange, and column weight.

Tensile test of multi walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) was performed in the scanning electron microscope (SEM). The MWCNT used in this experiments was fabricated by means of arc-discharge. And the strength properties of MWCNT were evaluated. The force sensor was cantilever type and was mounted on the nano-manipulator. The nano-manipulator was controlled by personal computer. An individual MWCNT was attached on the rigid support and force sensor by electron beam exposure and then tensile test was performed. After tensile test, the fractured area of a MWCNT was also observed by transmission electron microscope (TEM). From the TEM result, fractured cross-sectional area was estimated and elastic modulus of a MWCNT could be calculated. The tensile strength of a MWCNT was 41.01 ㎬ and the elastic modulus of a MWCNT was obtained at 0.98 T㎩.

PSD 를 이용한 초정밀소형공작기계의 기하학적 오차 측정

초정밀 소형공작기계는 초정밀가공분야에서 마이크로/메조 스케일 가공품의 정밀제조기술의 핵심으로 개발되어 왔다. 소형초정밀기계의 기하학적 오차는 가공품의 품질에 큰 영향을 미치기 때문에 반드시 분석 및 보정되어야 한다. 기존 소형공작기계의 기하학적 오차는 주로 레이저 간섭계로 측정되었으나 한번의 설치로 모든 기하학적 오차를 측정할 수 없고 까다로운 절차를 따라야 한다. 그 대안으로써 PSD 로 구성된 측정시스템이 개발되었으나 측정가능거리가 PSD 의 유효영역에 한정되었다. 본 논문에서는 측정가능거리를 확장시키고 설치오차를 최소화하여 6-자유도 기하학적 오차를 측정하는 시스템을 제안하고 민감도 해석과 실험을 통하여 이 측정 시스템의 정확도를 증명하였다. Ultra-precision miniaturized machine tools essential for manufacturing accurate machine components in micro/meso-scale have been developed. To realize high accuracy using mMTs, geometric errors, which are considered as the main sources of inaccuracy should be identified and compensated. The conventional systems for measuring geometric errors, such as a laser interferometer, can measure only one geometric error in a single setup and they involve complicated measurement procedures. A measurement system using PSDs is a promising alternative but the measurable range of such systems is limited to the active range of the PSDs. The proposed measurement system using PSDs can overcome the limit of small measurable range. Further, the mounting errors that could occur during set-up process can be avoided. In this paper, an algorithm corresponding to the system was analyzed and experiments were carried out.

전북 고창의 시설하우스에서 수박 재배 작기에 따른 해충의 시기별 발생 밀도를 2006년부터 2007년 까지 조사하였다. 촉성재배에서 발생되는 주요 해충은 목화진딧물이었으며, 다발생기는 3월 중순과 4월 하순이었다. 반촉성재배에서 발생되는 주요 해충은 목화진딧물과 응애류(점박이응애+차응애) 이었으며, 다발생시기는 6월 이었다. 억제재배에서는 목화진딧물, 응애류(점박이응애+차응애), 아메리카 잎굴파리, 목화바둑명나방의 발생과 피해가 많았다. 목화진딧물과 응애류는 9월에 발생량이 많았다. 아메리카잎굴파리는 9월 상순에 발생량이 많았다. 목화바둑명나방은 8월 중순부터 피해가 나타났으며, 9월 중순에 피해엽률이 79.4%로 가장 큰 피해를 주었다. The seasonal occurrence of insect pests in watermelon cultivated in greenhouses was surveyed in Gochang from 2006 to 2007 considering three seasonal types of culture: forcing culture, semi-forcing culture and retarding culture. Aphis gossypii, mites (Tetranychus urticae+T. kanzawai) and Palpita indica were the most serious pest species in watermelon greenhouse culture. A. gossypii and mites showed high density during the months of June and September in semi-forcing and retarding culture, respectively. Palpita indica was observed only in retarding culture. Leaf damage by Palpita indica was observed from the middle of August and peaked to 79.4% damage in the middle of September. Thrips and whiteflies were captured in high density by the yellow sticky trap in semi-forcing culture and retarding culture but these insects showed low population density in watermelon leaves.

4월부터 6월까지 수박을 재배하며 콜레마니진디벌을 이용하여 목화진딧물 밀도억제효과를 조사하였다. 목화진딧물 방제를 위하여 콜레마니진디벌를 $m^2$당 2마리씩 3회(4월 24일, 5월 8일, 5월 22일) 방사한 결과 목화진딧물 밀도는 잎당 0.6마리 이하로 억제되었고, 최고 기생률은 57.2%이었다, 진딧물 발생엽률은 2.0~10.6% 이었다. 무방사구에서 목화진딧물의 밀도는 5월 초부터 증가하여 5월 29일에는 잎당 653.2마리까지 증가하였다. Biological control of Aphis gossypii by natural enemies was carried out in watermelon from April to June. Aphidius colemani was released 3 times at rate of $2/m^2$ to control A. gossypii(April 24, May 8, and May 22 in 2007). In A. colemani-released plots, A. gossypii showed low population density of < 0.6 per leaf with the highest parasitism of 57.2%, and 2.0~10.6% in the percentage of leaves with aphids. In control, the population of A. gossypii kept on increasing from early May and reached 653.2/leaf on may 29.
