      • 제주도 북부연안역의 생물생태학적 기초연구 : Phytoplankton Dynamics and Primary Productivity at the Hamduk Area 함덕해역의 식물플랑크톤 동태와 일차생산력

        제주도 북부 함덕해역의 연안역과 외양역에 있어 식물플랑크톤 동태와 일차생산력을 파악하기위해 1989년 7월부터 1990년 7월까지 조사하였다. 조사기간중 출현한 식물플랑크톤은 총 132종으로 규조류가 96종(72.7%), 와편모조류가 28종(21.2%), 기타 식물성 편모조류가 8종(6.1%)을 차지하였다. 출현종중 Chaetoceros socialis, Fragilaria oceanica 그리고 Lauderia annulata가 연안역에서 현존량의 70% 이상의 높은 우점율을 보였으며 대체적으로 Chaetoceros속이 높은 우점을 나타내었다. 평균현존량의 분포는 연안역(정점1,2)이 7.1×10³∼7.3×10⁴cells/ℓ, 외양역(정점3,4,5)이 5.8×10³∼3.0×10⁴cell/ℓ의 범위로써 규조류가 97%를 차지하였다. 수주의 평균일일 일차생산력은 연안역(정점 2)에서 631.06(156.74∼1,055.26)㎎C/㎡/day,외양역(정점 4)에서 367.12(111.83∼734.44)㎎C/㎡/day로 년간 평균 약 182gC/㎡/yr로 추정된다. 식물플랑크톤의 동화계수는 표층에서0.93-13.16㎎C/㎎Chla/hr의 범위로써 하계에 높았다. 개체수의 수직분포와 일차생산력의 계절변화로 볼때 함덕해역의 식물플랑크톤 동태는 수괴의 수직혼합 및 성층과 밀접한 상관을 보이고 있다고 판단된다. This study has been carried out to understand the dynamics and primary productivity of phytoplankton at nearshore and offshore in the Hamduk area, northern Cheju Island from July 1989 to July 1990. A total of 132species were identified, comprising mainly 96 spp. of diatoms(72.2%) as majority, and also 28 spp. of dinoflagellates(21.2%) and 8 spp. of other phytoflagellates(6.1%) as minority. Of these, Chaetoceros socilis, Fragilaria oceanisa, Lauderia annulata predominated more than 70% of standing crops at nearshore and the genus Chaetoceros was most abundant in all stations. The cell number of surface layer ranged from 7.1×10³to 7.3×10⁴cells/ℓat nearshore and from 5.8×10³to 3.0×10⁴cell/ℓat offshore, showing the composition ratio of 97% by diatoms. The means of daily depth-integrated primary productivity in the water-column were 631.06(156.74∼1,055.26)㎎C/㎡/day at nearshore(st.2) and 367.12(111.83∼734.44)㎎C/㎡/day at offshore(st.4), estimating about 182gC/㎡/yr in the yearly primary productivity. Assimilation number of phytoplankton at the surface ranged from 0.93 to 13.16㎎C/㎎Chla/hr, showing higher values in summer. It is speculated that the dynamics of phytoplankton show the close relation with the vertical mixing and stratification of the water mass in terms of the vertical distribution of cell number and the seasonal variation of primary productivity.

        정수기반 웨이블릿 변환을 이용한 통합된 유 / 무손실 의학영상압축

        완전 복원이 가능한 정수 기반 웨이블릿 변환을 사용한 통합된 유/무손실 압축을 제안하였다. 제안한 알고리즘은 선양자화 과정과 정수 기반 웨이블릿 변환, 그러고 QM 코더에 의한 웨이블릿 밴드들의 비트 평면 부호화에 기반을 두고 있다. 본 논문에서는 선양자화과정을 거친 후 그레이레벨의 수가 원영상과 일치하는 향상된 선양자화과정과, 웨이블릿 대역을 주파수 및 bit 평면에서 최적의 순서로 부호화하는 방법을 제안하였다. 모의 실험에서 , 제안된 알고리즘에 의해 재구성된 명상들은 부동 소수점 기반 웨이블릿 변환(Daubechies)과 JPEG에 의해 재구성된 영상들에 비해 높은 신호대잡음비를 보였다. 또한 정수 기반 웨이블릿 변환에 의하여 재구성된 영상들에서 최대에러는 JPEG과 부동 소수점 기반 웨이블릿 부호화방식에 비하여 훨씬 낮게 나타났다. 무손실에 가까운 압축에서, 선양자화된 영상에서의 웨이블릿 계수들의 무손실 부호화는 선양자화 없이 원영상의 웨이블릿 계수들의 비트 평면-밴드 정렬에 의해 비트율을 조절하는 부호화 방법에 비해 높은 PSNR을 보였다. 선양자화과정을 사용함으로써 최대에러를 조절할 수 있었으며, 이것은 의학영상압축에서 유용한 특징이 될 것으로 기대된다. A unified lossy to lossless compression algorithm is developed using integer-based reversible wavelet transforms. The proposed algorithm is based on a pre-quantization, integer-based wavelet transform, and a bit plane coding of the wavelet bands with QM coder. An improved pre-quantization scheme is proposed with which number of gray levels after pre-quantization is the same as that in the original image. An optimal encoding order for the wavelet bands in both spatial frequency domain and bit planes are devised. Prom simulation, reconstructed image by the proposed algorithm shows higher peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) compared to those obtained by a float-point-based wavelet transform (Daubechies) and the JPEG. Peak errors in the reconstructed images by the integer-based wavelet transform are also much lower than those obtained by the JPBG and the float-point-based wavelet coding. In near lossless compression, lossless encoding of the wavelet coefficients of the pre-quantized image shows higher PSNR than those with bit rate control by the bit plane-band ordering of the wavelet coefficients without pre-quantization. Using pre-quantization, peak error can be easily controlled, which may be an important feature in medical image compression.

        The Ragweed pollen is the most common cause of pollinosis in U.S.A., and it can induce allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, pharyngitis, and dermatitis in summer and autumn. Recently, Antigen E, K, Ra3, Ra4, Ra5, Ra6, have been isolated from ragweed pollen, and AgE constitutes 90% of the allergenic activity of ragweed pollen. Here we report two cases of ragweed pollinosis with seasonal relationship, which were confirmed by RAST.

        Toluene diisocyanate (TDI) is a compound widely used today in the manufacture of polyurethane. Polyurethane is well suited for industrial purposes such as lacquers, adhesives, wire coating and shielding. TDI toxicity in the human being, already suspected during World War II, when the compound was extensively used in Germanys war industry, was first reported to the medical profession in 1951 by Fuchs and Valad in France. The patient was engaged in the job of making heat insulating materials of refrigerators for 3 years. Attacks of cough and wheezing dyspnea was developed with inhalation of fume that was formed when mixing with polyol during his work of heat insulating materials. The symptoms completely disappeared when he was off-job. Here we reporte a case of TDI induced occupational asthma which was confirmed by bronchial provocation test.

        중소기업을 위한 제조 빅데이터 분석 플랫폼 구축

        To cope with Industry 4.0 and digital innovation, small and medium-sized manufacturers must use big data. It is difficult for small and medium-sized manufacturing companies that lack basic infrastructure such as budget, technology, and manpower to establish and operate their own big data analysis environment. The purpose of this study is to consider how to build a big data analysis platform from a supplier's perspective in order to promote the use of big data by SMEs. We proposed an integrated platform environment, in which domain experts who are the core of the three elements of manufacturing big data analytics platform, such as resources, technology, and human resources, collaborate with computer experts to perform various analysis. In order to verify the effectiveness of the established big data analysis system, we provided services to 7 SMEs and verified its usefulness. Data analysts conveniently performed various analysis in an integrated environment using this big data platform. The analyzed results were traced and managed through real time monitoring. Industry 4.0과 디지털 혁신에 대처하기 위하여 중소제조기업은 빅데이터를 활용해야만 한다. 자금, 기술, 인력 등의 기본적인 인프라가 부족한 중소제조기업이 독자적으로 빅데이터 분석 환경을구축하고 운영하기가 어렵다. 본 연구의 목적은 중소기업의 빅데이터 활용을 활성화시키기 위하여 공급자 관점에서 빅데이터 분석 플랫폼을 구축하는 방안을 고찰하는 것이다. 제조 빅데이터 분석 플랫폼의 기반구조인 자원, 기술, 인력의 3요소중에서 핵심인 도메인 전문가가 컴퓨터 전문가와 협업하면서 다양한 분석을 수행할 수 있는 통합된 플랫폼 환경을 제안하였다. 구축된 빅데이터 분석 시스템의효과성 검증을 위하여 7개 중소기업을 대상으로 서비스를 제공하고 그 유용성을 검증하였다. 데이터분석가들은 이 빅데이터 플랫폼을 활용하여 통합된 환경에서 편리하게 다양한 분석을 수행하였다. 분석된 결과는 모니터링을 통해서 실시간으로 추적 및 관리되었다.

        고전압 정전기장 냉장시스템에 저장한 넙치(Paralichthys olivaceus) 필렛의 이화학적 특성 변화

        The effects of a high-voltage electrostatic field-refrigeration (HVEsF) system on the freshness of olive flounder fillets were investigated by evaluating the changes in the physicochemical properties of the fillets for 7 days. After the olive flounders had been euthanized, the fillets were obtained immediately and stored under four different conditions: -1℃ as a control (Con); -1℃ HVEsF system set to 3,500 V (H35); -1℃ HVEsF system set to 7,000 V (H70); and 4℃ (R). During the whole storage period, slight decreases and increases in pH were repeatedly performed in all the groups, and bacterial growth was inhibited at –1℃. The formation of volatile base nitrogen, trimethylamine, and hypoxanthine was significantly lower in H70 than in Con for 7 days (p<0.05). The cutting strength of H70 was maintained until day 3, while that of the other groups decreased drastically as the storage period increased. Overall, a -1℃ HVEsF system set to 7,000 V maintained the freshness of the fillets in the initial stages of storage.

        관상수조가 실내 환경의 습도와 오염물질에 미치는 영향

        Objectives: This study was conducted to determine the impact of aquariums on indoor air quality for improving humidity and reducing indoor air pollutants. Methods: An air-conditioning chamber was used to determine humidity increase by aquarium volume at three different temperatures (20 o C, 25 o C, 30 o C). Humidity increase was measured for 21 hours (20 o C) and 12 hours (25 o C, 30 o C) while placing five different volume of aquarium in the chamber. Concentrations of several volatile organic compounds and formaldehyde were measured after a known amount was injected into the chamber with and without an aquarium. Results: The humidity inside the chamber increased when the aquarium was inside the chamber. Humidity change was similar at 20 o C, 25 o C, and 30 o C, but slightly higher at higher temperatures. The bigger the aquarium volume, the higher was the humidity increase that occurred. Humidity increase by the aquarium was sufficient to increase indoor humidity in winter and negligible in summer. Concentrations of some water-soluble indoor air pollutants and formaldehyde were decreased with the aquarium inside the chamber. Conclusions: An aquarium could increase indoor humidity in winter, while the humidity increase is negligible in summer. An aquarium could decrease some water-soluble indoor air pollutants, including formaldehyde. This result implies that an aquarium may have positive effects on indoor environmental quality.
