        Chitosan 처리와 종묘종류가 가을감자의 생산성 향상에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to investigate the effect of foliar application of Chitosan and seedling types on increasing the production of fall-growing potatoes(Solanum tuberosum) at the height of 250m from the sea in Jeju Island. The experiment main-plots consisted of four Chitosan applications, and subplots had three seedling types as cutting plug seedlings, mine-tuber plug seedling planting plot and seed potatoes planting plot. The foliar application of Chitosan of 2000ppm was carried out 0, 1, 3, 5 times at intervals of ten days after ten days of transplanting. Plant height and top dry weight were significantly more vigorous as three to five application of Chitosan. In the small tubers(under 80g), the number of tubers and tuber yield were relatively increased in the seed potatoes planting plot and mine-tuber plug seedling plot, but the large tubers(over 80g) was higher in the cutting plug seedling planting plot. T-N content in leaves was increased as the number of application of Chitosan was increased. A similar tendency was shown in K, P Ca, Mg and Na. The growth and tuber yield in cutting plug seedlings, mine-tuber plug seedling planting plot and seed potatoes planting plot were effectively increased as three to five foliar applications of Chitosan was increased.

        미생물제 액비의 엽면시비에 따른 알타리 무의 생육 및 수량형질 변화

        This study was conducted to investigate the effect of microbial liquid manure(MLM) on the growth and yield characteristics of Altari radish (Raphanus sativus L.). MLM 1,000mgㆍL<sup>-1</sup>, MLM 2,000mgㆍL<sup>-1</sup> and MLM 1,000mgㆍL<sup>-1</sup> + microbial fermentation compost (MFC) 600㎏/10a were treated. MLM was sprayed on leaves at 10, 20, and 40 days after planting. Leaf length and width of radish in all microbial fertilizer treatments were more vigorous than that of control significantly. Number of leaves was great in order of 1,000 mgㆍL<sup>-1</sup> MLM + 600㎏/10a MFC > 2,000mgㆍL<sup>-1</sup> MLM > 1,000mgㆍL<sup>-1</sup> MLM. SPAD reading value was increased with treatments of 2,000mgㆍL<sup>-1</sup> MLM and 1,000mgㆍL<sup>-1</sup> MLM + 600㎏/10a MFC. Root length and weight of all the microbial fertilizer treatments tended to increase compared with control, and 1,000mgㆍL<sup>-1</sup> MLM + 600㎏/10a MFC treatment was the most effective.

        화산회토에서 퇴비 및 요소시용에 따른 토양중 NO<sub>3</sub>-N, 양이온의 용탈

        Nitrogen applied as fertilizer for crop production is partly absorbed by plant, and the remaining nitrogen in soil might be leached out through complicated processes to the subsoil layer. Especially, NO<sub>3</sub>-N in leachate causes environmental pollution. The purpose of this study was focused on understanding of uptake of nutrients by plants, the behaviors of nutrients in soil and the possibility of leaching loss when nitrogen fertilizer and completely decomposed compost were applied. Lysimeters(Volume 0.15㎥ Diameter 62cm, Height 62.8cm) were installed for collecting leachate in the Jeju volcanic ash soils. Lysimeter study consisted of thirteen treatments : fallow, fallow with weeding, cropping without fertilizer and compost, three N fertilizer soil surface applications(16, 32,64kg/10a), three N fertilizer and compost soil surface applications(16 +800, 32+1600, 64 +3200kg/10a), two water dissolved N fertilizer applications(16, 32kg/10a), and low and high plant densities. N fertilizer was applied as urea. The growth of com(preceding crop) and potatoes(succeeding crop) and leaching loss were determined during the experimental period. The results obtained were summarized as follows ; With increased N, pH of leachate tended to decrease and NO<sub>3</sub>-N concentration of leachate increased. NO<sub>3</sub>-N leaching loss was remarkably greater in soil from the bare plot without fertilization and the weed control than from plots with medium N rate and was least in the cropping plot without fertilization. NO<sub>3</sub>-N concentration in leachates from the water dissolved N fertilizer application plots was 64% of that from the soil surface application plots. The concentration of Ca and K ions and the leaching loss of these ions were least from the cropping plot without fertilization and were greatest from bare plots(T1 and T2) without fertilization. The proportion of leaching and residual N in soil increased as N rate increased indicting that higher N rates increase the possibility of N leaching to subsoil layer. The proportion of N leaching losses was lower at the low N rate and the high plant density. In future, fertilization prescription which can maximize fertilizer use efficiency and minimize the pollution of ground water will be needed for conserving the environments.

        가을감자 生産性向上을 위한 綠肥作物栽培와 太陽熱 土壤消毒의 效果

        제주지역에서 前作物로 綠肥作物을 재배하여 破碎$\cdot$耕耘하고 폴리에칠렌 투명비닐로 1997년 8월 5일부터 8월 29일까지 太陽熱土壤消毒후 가을감자를 재배한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 멀칭기간중의 토양깊이 10cm에서 최고지원은 $42^{\circ}C$였다. 綠肥作物栽培 및 멀칭에 의해 토양의 pH 및 有機物含量은 높아졌다. 前作物로 재배한 綠肥作物의 生體收量은 sudangrass 交雜種, 콩, 알팔파 순으로 많앙Tejs 반면 멀칭 太陽熱土壤消毒후 가을감자의 地上部生體重, 塊莖收量 등의 생육형질은 콩 + 가을감자재배구가 가장 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과로 볼 때 여름철 고온기에 綠肥作物栽培후 비닐 피복 太陽熱消毒에 의해 작물의 생육형질이 향상될 뿐만 아니라 土壤消毒의 가능성도 있을 것으로 생각된다. This study was conducted to effect promotion of fall potato growth in the place which green manual crops had been previously cultivated, crushed and tilled and polyethylene transparent vinyl had been mulched from Aug. 5 to Aug. 29 in 1997. The maximum temperature of below-ground at the depth of 10cm was $42^{\circ}C$ during the mulching period, and the pH and the organic compound content of soil was very increased by the cultivation of green manual crops and the mulching of polyethylene transparent vinyl. The total yields of green manual crops which had been previously cultivated were as the following orders; the hybrid of sudan grass, soybean, alfalfa, otherwise, fresh weight of stems and the tuber yield of fall potato were significantly affected in the plot of soybean + fall potato after the soil solarization with the mulching. As these results, it was possible to improve crops growth and to sterilize soil by the mulching treatment of polyethylene vinyl after cultivation of green manual crops during the high temperature of the summer season.

        Chitosan과 목초액(木酢液) 엽면살포(葉面撒布)에 의한 감자 플러그 삽목묘(揷木苗)의 발근(發根) 및 괴경형성효솔(塊莖形成效率)

        To do mass multiplication of plug seedlings in potatoes, apical stem cuttings originated from virus-free microtubers were cut to one-two internodes and transplanted into the plug-tray. After 10 days, we applied Chitosan and Wood Extraction on rooting and tuber formation of plug seedlings. To improve field adaptability of plug seedlings, rooted cuttings with a height of 20 cm after 20days of cutting were transplanted into the fields. We applied 500~2000ppm Chitosan on growth characteristics and tuber formation of that. The above and underground growths, such as plant height and number of leaves were significantly more vigorous after treatment with 500~1,000ppm Chitosan and 2,000ppm Wood Extraction, the spray treatment was carried out five times at intervals of four days after ten days of transplanting. T-N,K, P,Mg and Na,were higher as the concentrations of Chitosan and Wood Extraction were higher. The growth and tuber yield in plug seedlings planting plot and seed potatoes planting plot were effectively higher as foliar application of Chitosan(500~2, 000ppm) was done after planting the plot. T-N content in leaves and tuber was higher as the concentration of Chitosan was high. A similar tendency was shown in K,P and Mg. In the small tubers(under 30g), the number of tubers and tuber yield were relatively increased in the seed potatoes planting plot, but the large tubers(over 80g) yield was higher in the plug seedlings planting plot, and in order to increase tuber yield in plug seedlings it was necessary to add plant density to the field.

        녹비작물재배후 플라스틱필름 멀칭에 따른 가을감자의 더뎅이병 방제 및 수량특성 변화

        This experiment was conducted to investigate the changes of rate of infected common scab and yield characteristics of fall patato(Solanum tuberosum L.) where green manual crops had been previously cultivated, crushed and tilled and PㆍE transparent vinyl film had been mulched and tunneled to solar heating of soil from May 21. 1998 to July 28. 1998. The total yields of green manual crops which had been previousely cultivated were as followed order : pioneer 855F(64.3MT/ha), soybean(25.0MT/ha), red clover and orchardgrass. The average below-ground temperature at the depths of 5, 10 and 20cm were 54, 45 and 4 4V during the mulching period, respectively. The rate of infected area per potato tuber of common scab decreased by solar heating the soils with mulching after the soybean and red clover cultivation as with previous croppings. Plant height, SPAD(soil plant analysis development) reading, fresh weight of steins, and fall potato's tuber yields tended to increase by the cultivation of green manual crops and mulching of PㆍE film. Fall potato's tuber yields were remarkably affected in the plot of soybean, red clover and pioneer 855F+cultivation of fall potato. T-N, K and Ca contents of fall potato(stem and tuber) also tended to increase by the cultivation of green manual crops and mulching of PㆍE film. T-N, K and Ca contents of soil tended to increase after the cultivation of green manual crops and mulching of PㆍE film and then reduced to contents of soil before green manual planting after potato harvesting.

        아피오스(Apios americana M.) 도입 생산을 위한 기초 연구

        Newly introduced two lines of apios (Apios americana Medikus, red-vine and green-vine) were grown in Jeju island, to clarify their growth and production characteristics as well as to develope as a new edible crops in Korea. Both lines bloomed but did not develop to pod and seed. The red-viny line showed the habit of more early growth and maturity compared with green-viny line. Fresh tuber yields per 10a harvested in late November ranged from about 500kg to 800kg as according to the lines and cultural condition. Fresh tuber yield of red-viny line was relatively greater than that of green-viny line, mainly due to their higher tuber number per plant. Among the planting dates(April 1, April 16 and May 1) of seed tubes, highest tuber yield was obtained on May 16 planting. And the stacking cultivation culture was better than non-stacking cultivation in respect of tuber yield and disease avoidance. These results indicate that apios can produce in Jeju island, and in order to extend its cultivation to farmers it will be needed to develope some cultivars with high yields as well as labor-saving cultivation methods.
