      • 고속차량(KTX) 제동디스크 균열부위 용접 정비

        KTX 열차의 기계제동장치인 제동디스크는 심한 압력과 열응력을 받아 과열 냉각이 반복적으로 일어남에 따라 균열이 발생하고 있다. 균열의 한도가 기준을 초과하면 열차에서 분리하여 균열부가 사라질 때까지 디스크를 삭정하거나 폐기 한다. 삭정 등으로 인한 손실을 줄이기 위해 디스크 균열부위의 재생 방법을 몇 가지 검토 적용한 결과 용접 재생 기술을 확보하였다. 이렇게 확보된 용접기술로 재생한 제동디스크를 고속차량에 적용하여 운행한 결과 특이사항이 발견되지 않았으며, 용접 재생 디스크를 한국화학융합시험연구원(KTR)에서 특성시험 분석결과 기준 값을 만족하였다. 제동디스크 용접재생기술로 고속차량 유지보수의 효율성을 높이고 신품 구입비용을 감소시켜 경영효율화에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다. Cracks on the brake discs of KTX often occurring by repetition of the cooling and overheating due to severe press and thermal stresses. If the cracks exceed the limits, we have to separate the brake discs from the train and repair by turning or dispose permanently. For saving the discs repairing budget, we found a new welding technique through a number of experiments. After repairing the discs by our new welding technique, we have completed test run with KTX trains successfully and satisfied standards set by the Korea Testing & Research Institute(KTR). We expect improvement on efficient brake disc regeneration and reducing significantly the purchase cost of new equipment.

      • KTX의 공기조화장치 성능 개선 실행

        Since the opening to traffic of KTX, the clients had continuously suggested complains concerning the temperature in passenger car. To solve this problem, after consultation with KTGVC, we received the modified temperature control software for air conditioning system, and installed it on all of the trains. But, even the modified software is not suitable for our country environment. And at the change of season, there were a lot of complains that it's too cold in train. So, we concluded a contract with Merak, the manufacturing company of air conditioning system with the object of removing the inconvenience of cold and getting the suitable temperature control curve. Consequently, Korail suggested 5 temperature control curve to Merak, and Merak supplied the appropriate software according to the temperature curve. Actually, we do monitoring the train installed with the new software, and up to now, there is no suggestion of client complain. Finally we found the suitable temperature control curve for our country environment. And it will make possible to apply this curve to other air conditioning system also.

      • 철도차량의 신뢰성관리 유지보수 활성화 방안

        This paper presents an activation plan for reliability centered maintenance (RCM) of rolling stock. The KTX is carrying out the maintenance in compliance with RCM. MKBSF, that is one of the reliability indices for KTX, is shown 183,483 ㎞ in 2009, whereas it is shown 68,986 ㎞ in 2004. It means that the reliability of KTX has been growing every year. It also is result of reliability management activities. KORAIL did not apply RCM until now about the conventional rolling stocks. But KORAIL decided that applies RCM system because of reliability management effect of KTX. In this study, we tried to know an activation plan for the reliability centered maintenance of the conventional rolling stocks.

      • SRT 개통 전후 1년간 KTX 영업실적 비교분석

        2004년 4월 고속철도가 개통되어 운행한 이래 2016년 12월부터 SRT가 운행하기 시작하여 고속철도의 경쟁시대가 시작되었다. SRT가 운행되기 전까지는 한국철도공사(코레일)에서만 고속열차를 운영하여 독점적인 지위를 가지고 있었다. SRT 개통 전후 1년간의 코레일의 고속열차 영업실적에 어떠한 변화가 있는지 운행열차수, 승차인원, 승차율, 매출액 등에 대한 비교분석을 하였다.

      • 신뢰성 측면에서 고속차량 유지보수 발전 방향

        The present paper to relate with the maintenance of the high-speed vehicle, KTX and is to treat a reliability evaluation. The reliability of the high-speed vehicle while operating between-failure average mileage (MKBSF) and parts between-failure average mileage (MKBF), 1,000,000 per ㎞ service failure number of items and availability and per km evaluated a maintenance expense. The reliability evaluation results and 2007 year reliability management indexes compared in 2006 years and they improved, per km the maintenance expense compared at 2006 and 36.6% was decreased. Reliability management activity leads and availability of the high-speed vehicle, safety improves and with the fact that will be able to decrease the maintenance expense which is an economic scale of railroad service is expected.

      • KTX의 모터블록 성능부족 개선 실행

        Since opening of the high speed railroad in Korea, service result of the last 5 years is commandable. About 236million passengers had taken KTX until February 2009, and number of trains in service per day during week-end increased from 128 to 181, meaning that it's grown about 40%. And MKBSF, one of indicators of the high speed railroad's reliability, registered 680,469㎞ at the end of the year 2008, witch is 6 times more than 121,000㎞, contract base when KTX was introduced. With increasing number of trains in service, not only passengers use the high speed railroad more frequently, but also we assure its reliability through maintenance based on reliability And actually we gather information concerning all kind of defects occurred during train circulation and then, analyse them, and eradicate their causes in order to improve the high speed railroad's reliability. This paper describes a verification test process to analyse causes of defective function about train's traction.

      • KTX 운전자지원 단말기의 하드웨어와 장치개발에 대한 연구

        TECA(Terminal Cabin) has train information, fault display, maintenance function and training function for driver, as sub-device of Seoul-Pusan Express train"s on-board computerized device. Concerning KTX train"s driving, signal driving is required for high speed driving, and it is true that we have difficulty in troubleshooting and acquisition of basic information through long train and one-man driving. Therefore, rapid and correct processing about various information and TECA device for maintenance are indispensable for its utilization. But there is not study example in hardware, maintenance about this device and device development according to new requirements. Therefore, this study will help understanding of driver assistance terminal device"s maintenance performance development, describing TECA"s basic functions necessary for device development and its requirements. Accordingly, I suppose that this thesis will be utilized to complete specification, necessary for new driver assistance terminal device development.

      • KTX OBCS 하부장치 프로토콜 분석방법

        경부고속열차(KTX)의 차상컴퓨터(OBCS)의 하부장치는 차량의 안전과 유지보수에 도움이 되는 유지보수와 고장정보현시장치이며 이용객에게 편의시설과 환경을 제공하는 서비스제공 장치들이다. KTX 차량의 하부장치에는 크게 운전자지원단말기인 TECA와 행선지표시장치인 PID 그리고 승무원고 장표시장치인 FDTR과 객실온도 조절장치인 HVAC, 무선데이터 송수신을 위한 MDT등이 있다. 그러나 이러한 하부장치는 유지보수와 고장분석 그리고 노후장치의 개발을 위해 하부장치에 대한 하드웨어 사양분석과 함께 OBCS 장치와 하부장치의 통신프로토콜의 분석이 병행되어야 한다. 이러한 하부장치 통신 분석을 위한 접근을 위해 프로토콜 분석기를 이용한 분석방법을 정의함으로서 올바른 데이터 수집과 분석 그리고 Data 응용을 통한 유지보수기능의 향상과 하부장치개발에 도움이 되고자 한다. Peripheral devices of OBCS in kyeongbu KTX serve various function. those services operate to make sure the safety of trains by displaying some malfunction signs of system and help maintain them appropriately. and they also provide various services for passengers in KTX They divide into TECA which supports drivers with various data, PID which displays where to go, FDTR, HVAC, MDT etc. To develop superannuated devices, maintain and check its malfunction, we need to analyse hardware specification, OBCS and also protocol for communication devices simultaneously. here, we're trying to find how to find efficient approach by using a protocol analyser properly. We're going to develop peripheral devices to elevate and improve maintenance functions by collecting, compiling data.

      • 레일과 차륜의 마모에 대한 기하학적 검토

        Before the complete construction of new high-speed line between Seoul and Pusan, KTX is going to operate on both new high-speed line between Seoul and Daegu and electrified conventional lines between Daegu and Pusan. Then, the wheels of KTX are going to operate on various rails such as KS50N and KS60 of conventional line as well as UIC60 of high-speed line. Also, conventional line will have a mixed traffic mode with various types of trains operating on it, such as Saemaul and Mugunghwa. Hence, this study reviews the wear phenomena of wheels and rails in geometrical point of view by comparing their profiles. The analyses of the results show that because UIC60 rail is designed for KTX, KS50N rail whose profile is similar to that of UIC60 will not have any impact on the shape of wheel wear. On the other hand, KS60 rail is expected to have partial wear on both the flange of KTX wheel and the gauge corner of the rail in the initial stages. However, the operation of the trains whose wheels have 1/20 conicity will cause partial sidewear on the inside of the rail and the movement of the contact point between KTX wheel and the rail toward the inside of the track. As a result, the flange wear of KTX wheel will be reduced and the formation of wear-equilibrium profile will be faster.
