An integrated silicon pressure sensor has been designed, fabricated and tested. The signal conditioning circuits were designed to include calibration and temperature compensation of output voltage through trimming of diffusion and ion-implanted resistors. Before trimming of resistors, the compensation parameters such as pressure sensitivity, temperature coefficient of pressure sensitivity, temperature coefficient of piezoresistors and pressure sensitivity of piezoresistors were measured. Then offset voltage, span, and temperature coefficients of offset voltage and span were calibrated by trimming of resistors. The measured output voltage met our design specification and simulation value above room temperature. But, the measured output voltage at -30°C deviated from our design specification and simulation value because the offset voltages were found to vary randomly as a function of temperature.

In this paper, we studied the anodic bonding of 5-inch silicon and #7740 Pyrex glass wafers with a thickness of 3mm by using the EV501 bonder and the Karl Suss SB6 bonder. The test conditions for anodic bonding of the EV501 bonder system with a full field electrode were temperature of 400 ℃ and voltage of 800V in a chamber pressure of 1X10^(3)mbar. The SB6 bonder with a star shaped electrode was tested at the temperature and voltage of 450 ℃ and 1300V in the atmosphere, respectively. As the results of test, we obtained the void free samples regardless of shape of substrates such as etched wafers with cavities and drilled glasses with holes.
접촉연소검지방식을 이용한 후막형 메탄가스센서의 제조 및 그 특성

본 연구에서는 스크린 프린팅 기술을 이용한 병렬저항열원을 갖는 후막형 가연성 가스센서를 제조하고, 메탄가스에 대한 감도특성을 조사하였다 알루미나 기판의 양면 위에 제조된 병렬형 백금 후막발열체는 후막형 백금 저항체로 사용된 백금페이스트 온도 감지 특성과 표면 특성을 조사하여 paste A로 선정하였다. 제조된 백금 후막 발열체는 평균저항값이 1.8Ω이고, TCR값은 3685ppm/℃이었다. 제조된 백금 발열체상에 Pt과 Pd이 첨가된 촉매 페이스트를 제조하고 가지부는 Pt과 Pd가 첨가된 촉매를 스크린 프린팅하여 후막을 형성하고 열처리하여 제조하였다. 제조된 후막형 센서는 메탄가스에 대해 4.3mV/1009ppm의 감도를 보였으며, 소비전력은 2.12W이었다. We fabricated the sensors with parallel Pt heaters using screen printing process and investigated sensitivities to hydrocarbon gases. The paste A was selected as Pt paste for heater by investigated the properties of TCRs and thick film microstructures. The average resistance of parallel Pt heaters was 1.8Ω, and the best TCR obtained was 3685ppm/℃. On the top of the Pt heaters, a sensing layer added with Pt and Pd as catalyst paste was screen printed and heat treated. The sensitivity of fabricated the sensor was 4.3mV/1000ppm to methane. The power consumption of the sensors was 2.12watts
Si Bulk Micromachining을 위한 Wafer Rolling Etching 및 그 특성

A wafer rolling etching system for the silicon bulk micromachining has been designed and fabricated. The silicon diaphragms were anisotropically etched in a 24.5 weight percent KOH solution. Compared to the conventional KOH etching systems, pyramidal hillocks, and wave-shaped structures on the etched surfaces were greatly reduced by using this system. After etching for time of 438 minutes, the average etched depth and the etch-rate were measured to be 537μm and 1.22μm/min, respectively. The average etching uniformity of etching depth was 0.87% in 5-inch wafer. Our results showed that the wafer rolling method enhanced etch uniformity and etch rate.

To investigate whether human β₂-adrenergic receptor devoid of the C-terminal two transmembrane helices retain its ligand binding activity and specificity, 5' 780-bp DNA fragment of the receptor gene which encodes amino acid 1-260 of human β₂-adrenergic receptor was subcloned into the bacterial fusion protein expression vector and expressed as a form of glutathione-S-transferase (GST) fusion protein in E. coli DH5 α. The receptor fusion protein was expressed as a membrane bound form which was verified by SDS-PAGE and Western blot. The fusion protein expressed in this study specifically bound β-adrenergic receptor ligand [³H] Dihydroalprenolol. In saturation ligand binding assay, the K_d value was 7.6 nM which was similar to that of intact β₂-adrenergic receptor in normal animal tissue (K_d=1∼2 nM) and the B_(max) value was 266 fmol/mg membrane protein. In competition binding assay, the order of binding affinity of various adrenergic receptor agonists to the fusion protein was isoproterenol≫epinephrine≥norepinephrine, which was similar to that of intact receptor in normal animal tissue. These results suggest that N-terminal five transmembrane helices of the β₂-adrenergic receptor be sufficient to determine the ligand binding activity and specificity, irrespective of the presence or absence of the C-terminal two transmembrane helices.

The analysis of membrane receptors for hormones and neurotransmitters has progressed considerably by pharmacological and biochemical means and more recently through the use of specific antibodies. To generate and characterize a moloclonal antibody against β-adrenergic receptor, a synthetic β2-adrenergic receptor peptide (Phe-Gly-Asn-Phe-Trp-Cys-Phe-Trp-Thr-Ser-Ile-Asp-Val-Leu) which may comprise part of β-adrenergic receptor ligand binding pocket was coupled to Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin (KLH) and used as an immunogen. Male BALB/C mice were immunized with this antigen and the immunized spleen was fused with myeloma SP2/0-Ag14 cells to produce monoclonal antibodies. Two clones were obtained but one of monoclonal antibodies, mAb5G09, was used throughout in this study because the other clone, mAb5A11 showed weak immunoreactivity against KLH as well. The mouse monoclonal antibody mAb5G09 produced in this study showed immunoreactivity to peptide-KLH conjugates and also to human A431 cells and guinea pig lung β2-adrenergic receptor as revealed by ELISA and western blot. In the course of determination of the effects of mAb5G09 on β-receptor ligand binding, it was observed that mAb5G09 specifically bound β-adrenergic radioligand [³H]dihydroalprenolol (DHA) with a dissociation constant (Kd) of 60 nM. The [³H]DHA binding activity of mAb5G09 had characteristics of immunoglobulins and the binding activity was not observed in the control anti-KLH monoclonal antibody. The monoclonal antibody, mAb5G09 produced in this study may provide useful models for the study of the structure of receptor binding sites.
축조방법을 고려한 전통 민도리목구조의 구조해석모형에 관한 고찰

Recently, most of field structural professionals use computer programs for the structural analysis of the traditional wood structures in their own way. However, in the structural analytical models used by these practicing professionals, it seems that there are many uncertainties existing in analytical model and complexities in modelling for a computer program. Therefore, a reasonable modeling method is required for the reduction of these uncertainties and complexities. In this paper, the structural characteristics of the traditional Mindori wood structure, which is the simplest structure among traditional wood structures, are investigated by the consideration of construction stage and a modelling method reducing complexities in analytical model is produced on the basis of investigation. Finally, a reasonable analytical model is assumed and some research subjects overcoming uncertainties are suggested.
SnO2/Al2O3/Nb2O5 후막소자의 Acetonitrile 감지특성

SnO₂의 모 물질에 Al₂O₃ 및 Nb₂O_5(0.2-2.0 wt%)를 첨가한 후막소자를 스크린 프린팅 방법으로 제소하였다 제조된 소자의 acetonitrile 기체에 대한 감지특성은 산화물표면과 acetonitrile 사이의 산화반응에 의하여 생성된 화학종에 의하여 영향을 받았다. 적외선 스펙트라로부터 관찰한 결과 acetonitrile의 산화반응에 의한 생성물은 주로 CO₂, NH₃ 및 H₂O였으며 이들 화학종은 후막소자의 감지성질에 영향을 주었다. Nb₂O_5가 첨가된 SnO₂후막소자는 300℃의 동작온도에서 94%의 높은 감도를 나타내었으며 CO, SO₂, CH₄ 및 C₄H_(10) 보다 acetonitrile에 대한 선택성이 높게 나타났다. 그리고 acetonitril 85 ppm 농도에 대하며 300℃의 동작온도에서 30일 동안 저항과 감도를 측정하여 본 결과 84%의 감도와 25±2 kΩ의 안정한 저항값을 나타내었다. The SnO₂/Al₂O₃/Nb₂O_5 thick film sensor was fabricated by means of screen printing method. The sensing characteristics of acetonitrile was influenced by the chemical species produced by the oxidation reaction of acetonitrile on the surface of metal oxide. From the result of observed infrared spectra, the products formed by the oxidation reaction of acetonitrile were found to be mainly CO₂, NH₃ and H₂O, which influenced the sensing properties. The SnO₂ sensor added with Nb₂O_5 exhibited the sensitivity of 94% at the operation temperature of 300℃ and showed higher selectivity to acetonitrile than to CO, SO₂, CH₄ and C₄H_(10). The thick film sensor which maintained for 30 days at the operation temperature 300℃ exhibited the resistance of 25±2 kΩ and sensitivity of 84% in 85 ppm of acetonitrile.
