Trend of the Research Theme in Ergonomics of Japan-Based on The Japanese Journal of Ergonomics-
( Yoshinori Horie ) 한국감성과학회 2014 춘계학술대회 Vol.2014 No.-
The Japan Ergonomics Society (JES) founded in 1964 to promote research and related businesses on ergonomics. The society has now around 1,700 members. These members consist of specialists in many different fields, from specialists at colleges or research institutes to practitioners in industries, and have been conducting broad, interdisciplinary activities. The JES has two research committees and 14 technical groups.
Fundamental Study on the Danger of Walking While Carrying Out a Smartphone
( Maiishibashi ),( Yoshinori Horie ) 한국감성과학회 2014 춘계학술대회 Vol.2014 No.-
By walking while using smartphone (Nagara-Aruki) accidents are occurring frequency. This study aims at clarifying danger of walking while using a smartphone. The walk experimental track was installed in the laboratory. Two kinds of walks were carried out to the experiment participant. One is usually walked. Another one is walk while doing 1 digit addition task with smartphone. Measurement items are a front visual confirmation rate by an eye mark recorder, the number of answers and the number of correct answers of 1 digit addition task, and etc.. As a result, there are two types of walks while using a smartphone. One is a smartphone-oriented type, and the front perception rate for walk was 25%. Another one was a walking-oriented type, and the front perception rate for a walk was 35%. In the usual walk, the front is sighted 100%. Therefore, it was neglected to check the front for a walk of both types, and the very risky thing became clear.

Number of workers and efficiency in monotonous work
Ryusuke Arai,Ayaka Koizumi,Yoshinori Horie 대한인간공학회 2007 대한인간공학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.- No.-
Recently, workers have not remained in the same office over the long term. As the number of workers changing employment increases, changes in working patterns have resulted. Generally, individual productivity decreases as the number of employee groups increases. Such a phenomenon was termed ""social loafing"" or the ""bystander effect"" by Latane, and ""group polarization"" by Stonar [1]. Moreover, it is clear that in a group situation, the amount of work a person completes is lower than in an individual worker situation, as described in ""the tug-of-war experiment"" by Ringelman [1]. Previous studies have chiefly focused on the number of people in work groups. In the present study, the relationship between the degree of task complexity and the employee head count in determining worker efficiency. An assembly task was completed in four stages using marketed blocks (LEGO). Each subject was given 100 blocks with which to work. An increase in the personnel involved in completing a task, increases competition among workers, improving efficiency (reducing time needed to complete the task). The National Air and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) concept has demonstrated that a four-person team can complete tasks with higher adaptive weighted workload (AWWL) rating than either a two-person team or an individual worker. In the present experiment, the four-person team was the most efficient at completing the tasks at all four complexity stages.
A sight burden of the LED illumination

In this paper, it aimed experimentally to consider, and to evaluate it from the influence viewpoint of the illumination under the LED illumination and conventional one. The experimental method provided that conditions, and made them work two lighting environments of the LED lamp and fluorescent lamp. From the experiment result, it provided that the sight burden of LED illumination was smaller than conventional illumination. It is thought that the sight burden was suppressed to the legibility high as for the LED lamp with few flickers of light under the characteristic of light. The LED illumination for domination exist in the viewpoint not only energy efficiency but also the sight burden compared with the lighting.
