        Nous avons essaye, dans cette etude, d'effectuer une comparaison sommaire des methodes audio-visuels entre De vive voix et Sans frontieres. De vive voix, paru en 1972, est une methode audio-visuel inspiree des recherches de la linguistique structurale. Cette methode invite a apprendre par coeur les dialogues comme modeles de langue par des exercices structuraux pour atteindre a l'objectif de communication. L'essentiel de la morphologie et de la syntaxe du francais est etudie dans ce texte selon une progression serree. La grammaire a souvent la forme d'un mecanisme grammatical a force des exercices structuraux. Mais ces exercices sont peu interessants, quelquefois trop enuyeux pour les etudiants meme s'ils donnent les notions de base de syntaxe. Par contre Sans frontieres est une methode qui a essaye de faire la synthese des approches structurales et communicatives. Du cote du structuralisme, on remarquera les dialogues audiovisuels, des exercices structuraux, de la grammaire explicite, des listes de vocabulaire. Du cote du fonctionalisme, on trouvera beaucoup de documents authentiques, jeux de role, exercices de creation. Cette methode nous fait entrer dans la realite francaise avec les documents authentiques, avec les vocabulaire actuel de tous les jours et nous fait connaitre les registres de langues francaises propres a chaque categorie sociale. Sans frontieres est une methode vraiment adapte au cours de conversation. Elle invite a faire parler, instruit en amusant et fait enfin arriver a communiquer en langue francaise.

        웹기반 크리프 물성 데이터베이스 개발

        User-friendly-web-based database system for searching creep property data was developed. This system includes about 38000 creep data for 270 different materials including low carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steel. Data on creep rupture, creep deformation, creep crack growth and creeping materials can be searched through this system. Retrieved data is displayed in numeric form and also presented in graphical form for visualizing the data. Furthermore, the creep rupture data is designed to be fitted to a regression equation of logarithmic stress using time-temperature parameter(TTP). The degree of the regression equation, orthogonal polynomials, was determined using analysis of variance.

        스트레스성 심근병증은 다양한 육체적 또는 정신적 스트레스 후 발생하는 심장질환 증후군으로 초기 임상양상이 급성 관상동맥 증후군과 유사하지만 양호한 예후를 갖는다. 그러나 기존에 발표된 연구에서는 대부분의 환자에서 심첨부나 중간부 좌심실에서 무운동성을 관찰되었으나 저자들은 심실 기저부의 무운동성이 관찰되는 스트레스성 심근병증증례를 경험하였기에 보고한다. Stress-induced cardiomyopathy, known as Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, is a newly described clinical entity characterized by transient left ventricular apical ballooning and left ventricular apical dyskinesis, with no significant stenosis on the coronary angiogram. We describe a patient who had transient cardiomyopathy with akinesia of the basal portions of the left ventricle and hyperkinesia of the apex. This is the first case of stress-induced cardiomyopathy with an "inverted Takotsubo" contractile pattern triggered by emotional stress in Korea. The cause of stress-induced cardiomyopathy is unclear, but catecholamines probably play a role in this syndrome. This entity could provide clues to the pathophysiology underlying stress-induced cardiomyopathy. (Korean J Med 76:746-751, 2009)

      • 기질재를 혼입한 재생아스팔트의 물리적특성에 관한 실험적 연구

        This paper present the results of an experimental study on the mechanical properties of reclaimed asphalt using modified additives. This study has been performed to obtain the properties of recovered asphalt such as penetration, softening point and ductility, weight change ratio, penetration change ratio after thin film oven test according to contents of modified additives(3∼5%). Recovered-modified asphalt has improved in the temperature sensitivity, which is ductile at higher temperature and brittle at lower temperature compared to virgin one. Penetration, softening point, ductility test and mass and weight changing rate and thin film oven test of recovered-modified asphalt satisfied the standard fir the modified asphalt II. Therefore, it could be possible to produce a recovered-modified asphalt mixture similar to those of virgin-modified asphalt mixture.

        A Review on Intense Pulsed Light Sintering Technologies for Conductive Electrodes in Printed Electronics

        Intense pulsed light (IPL) sintering or annealing technology has attracted tremendous attention from many researchers and a variety of industries owing to its unique features. In IPL process, the pulsed white flash-light from xenon lamp is irradiated on the target materials and converts it to the desired conductive layer. The IPL process is ambient condition and room temperature process. The irradiated IPL on the materials can induce an extremely quick heating (several milliseconds) to the certain temperature by the synergetic opto-chemical, opto-thermal phenomena without damage on the low temperature substrates such as polymer and paper. The exact mechanisms of these opto-synergetic phenomena has been intensively studied by many researchers for a decade. Also, the applications of IPL techniques have become more extensive in printed electronics. In this review, we summarized the brief history and various applications of the intense pulsed light technology to conductive electrodes as well as several applications. The IPL process can provide a paved route to revolutionary eco-benign and low-cost manufacturing process for many applications.

        Inhibitory Activities of Red Ginseng Acidic Polysaccharide in Platelet Aggregation

        Red ginseng acidic polysaccharide (RGAP), isolated from Korean red ginseng (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer), has been shown to have a variety of biological functions such as immunostimulating and anti-tumor activities. In the present study, we investigated whether RGAP inhibited ligand-induced platelet aggregation. The washed platelet-rich plasma was prepared from male SD rats with successive centrifugation. The platelets (10?/ml) were preincubated with 1 mM of CaCl₂for 2 min either in the presence or in the absence of RGAP (10 ~ 50 ㎍/ml) and were stimulated with collagen (2.5 ㎍/ml) and thrombin (0.1 U/ml). RGAP dose-dependently inhibited thrombin-induced platelet aggregation with IC50 value of 26.2±2.0 ㎍/ml. In collagen-induced platelet aggregation, RGAP inhibited the reaction with an IC50 value of 31.5±3.0 ㎍/ml. RGAP potently suppressed the intracellular calcium ion, which was stimulated by thrombin (0.1 U/ml). Among mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) subtypes, the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) 1/2 and p38 MAPK were analyzed in the present study. RGAP inhibited the phosphorylation of ERK2 and p38 MAPK, which was activated by collagen (2.5 ㎍/ml). Finally, these results suggested that besides saponin fraction, RGAP take an important role in the preventive effect of Korean red ginseng against cardiovascular disease such as thrombosis and atherosclerosis.

        This paper presents the results of an experimental study on the mechanical properties of modified recycling asphalt concrete. Research has been performed to obtain the characteristics of the modified recycling asphalt concrete such as marshall test, indirect tensile test, resilient modulus and wheel tracking test by varying contents of modifier (SBS, SBR) and recycled aggregate(30, 50, 70%). Modified recycling asphalt concrete showed better performance than new asphalt concrete in dynamic stability. Each quality property of the modified recycling asphalt concrete satisfied requirement of pavement construction specification.

        Protopanaxadiol modulates LPS-induced inflammatory activity in murinemacrophage RAW264.7 cells

        Protopanaxadiol (PPD) is a mixture of protopanaxadiol type saponins with a dammarane skeleton, from Korean red ginseng (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer; Araliaceae). Korean ginseng is well-known herb to treat almost all kinds of diseases in Oriental medicine. This herb was particularly prescribed for treatment various inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, atherosclerosis, and diabetes mellitus, for centuries. To understand the efficacy of ginseng against inflammatory diseases, we aimed to show anti-inflammatory activities of the PPD in murine macrophage cell line, RAW264.7 cells using nitric oxide (NO) production assay and the expressions of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), and IL-6, and monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1). We found that PPD saponin significantly blocked LPS (1 μg/ml)-induced NO production in a dose-dependent manner. In addition, PPD abrogated the expressions of LPS-induced pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1β and MCP-1. Moreover, cyclooxygenase (COX)-2, a critical enzyme to produce prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), was significantly inhibited by PPD in LPS-activated RAW264.7 cells. Taken together, these results suggested that anti-inflammatory efficacy of Korean red ginseng on inflammatory diseases is, at least, due to the NO inhibitory activity and the inhibition of the expressional level of inflammatory cytokines and/or mediators.

        거골 주위의 탈구 및 골절성 탈구

        Purpose: To find the proper way and timing of treatment for minimizing the post-traumatic complication of peritalar dislocation or fracture-dislocation. Material and Methods: We reviewed total 12 cases of peritalar dislocation or fracture-dislocation that consist of 9 cases of subtalar joint dislocations, 1 case of talo-navicular joint dislocation and 2 cases of talar fracture-dislocations. Closed reduction was performed for subtalar dislocation without suturing the torn ligaments. The average follow up period was 25 months. Results: Of 9 subtalar dislocations, 8 cases presented acceptable results. But 1 case of a 28-year-old male patient with prolonged heavy sports activity history presented pain and mild limping. The other 3 cases of talo-navicular joint dislocation and talar fracture-dislocations presented acceptable results except one complaining of scar contracture. Conclusion: Complications such as early skin necrosis or neurovascular damage could be prevented by early closed reduction for peritalar dislocations or fracture-dislocations, and the repair of torn ligaments of ankle joint in peritalar dislocations did not affect the end results.
