        In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.

      • Sisomicin고생산 균주의 예비선별과 이들의 생리적 특성

        In order to isolate selectively sisomicin over-producers during mutagenesis, several conditions required for fragmentation, mutagen treatment, and selection of mutants were examined. As a result, up to 30% yield-up of the antibiotic production of a candidate was achieved. For the step of scale-up, effect of antifoaming agent in small scale with flasks was studied. Palm oil was very effective within the range of without inhibiting of growth. Water addition during the fermentation enhanced 10% of sisomicin productivity than that of control.

      • 플라즈마 화학 증착한 텅스텐 및 질화 텅스텐 박막의 미세구조 연구

        The fine structures for the tungsten and tungsten nitride thin films deposited bt plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition technique were investigated with x-ray diffraction patterns. x-ray photoemission spectroscopy. and transmission electron microscopy techniques. Tungsten films have been deposited at 350℃ with the WF?-H₂gas systems and tungsten nitride films have been deposited at 350℃ with the WF?-NH₃-H₂gas systems. The resistivity of tungsten films were about 10?-㎝. and crystal structure was α-W (bcc structure). In the annealed films at 900℃. however, the metastable β-W and W silicide (WSi₂, W?Si?) peaks were observed. The resistivity of tungsten nitride films were about 70?-㎝, and crystal structure was W₂N(200), (α-W)+(β-W) and amorphous structures. In other words, the crystals of as-deposited WNx films are metastable in sturctures, but the thermal stability for the W/WNx/Si structure during high temperature annealing are excellent. Thermal stability of PECVD-WNx as a diffusion barrier reveals that the interdiffusions between Al or W and Si substrate can be prevented by N interstitial atoms in fcc-W₂N grains and grain boundaries.

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the adequacy of the regulatory policies on the industrial safety and health. The proper direction of government regulation to lower the industrial accidents and occupational disease to an appropriate level can be summarized as follows. Firstly, it is necessary to increase the dependence on ordering and instructional type of regulations to a proper level. Secondly, the expansion of information supply and the individual performance rate system of industrial accident compensation insurance are most important. Finally, Unnecessary and unrealistic regulations should be diminished. It is justifiable to ease the excessive current economic regulations.

        볼-엔드 밀링가공시 절삭력의 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구

        In metal cutting operation, it is very important that predict cutting force and work surface. Vibration is an unstable cutting phenomenon which is due to the interaction of the dynamics of the chip removal process and the structural dynamics of machine tool. when vibration occurs, it reduces tool life, results in poor surface roughness and low productivity of the machining process. In this study, the experiments were conducted in machining center without cutting fluid to investigate the phenomenon of vibration. In the experiments, accelerometers were set up at the tail stock and tool holder and signals were picked up. Surface roughness profiles are generated under the ideal condition and the occurrence of vibration based on the surface shaping simulation model.

      • 생물변환 천연식용색소 생산공정기술 개발 : Ⅰ. 홍화 황색소의 안정성에 미치는 pH 및 온도의 영향 Ⅰ. Effect of pH and Temperature on the Stability of the Yellow Pigment from Carthamus tinctorious L.

        홍화로부터 열에 의한 안정성을 검토하였다. 황색소의 분해반응은 산성, 중성, 염기성 조건에서 UV/Vis spectral measurement에 의해 조사되었다. 시간변화에 다른 흡광도를 측정해 본 결과 온도가 상승함에 따라 황색소의 분해되는 정도가 점차적으로 증가하는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 40℃에서 황색소의 분해 반감기는 pH3.0, pH7.0, 그리고 pH12.0에서 각각 112.1, 39.3 과 25.3 시간이었다. 이것은 황색소가 pH3.0에서 비교적 더 안정함을 말한다. pH3.0, 7.0 그리고 12.0에서 황색소의 activation energy는 각각 519, 15.0 그리고 12.3 kJ/mol이었다 We investigated thermal stability of yellow pigment from Carthamus tinctorious L. Decomposition reactions of yellow pigment were monitored at acidic, neutral and alkaline conditions by UV/Vis spectral measurement. Decomposition of yellow pigment increased as temperature increased Decomposition half lives of yellow pigment at 40℃ were 112.1 39.3, and 25.3 hrs at pH 3.0 , pH 7.0, and pH 12.0, respectively, indicating that yellow pigment is more stable at pH 3.0. The activation energies of yellow pigment at pH 3.0, pH 7.0, and pH 12.0 were 51.9, 15.0, and 12. 3 kJ/mol, respectively.

      • Porous Si 반도체에서의 결함상태 연구

        Using a series of porous silicon (PS) sample - by rapid thermal annealing (2000℃, 3000℃, 4000℃, 5000℃) treatment - we have characterized their optical, electrical properties, and lattice mode properties by photoluminescence (PL), photoinduced current transient spectroscopy (PICTS), Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) measurements. We found a visible photoluminescence peak at 665 nm and 670 nm by the annealing. We have carried out the PICTS measurements and found a deep levels of 0.69 eV, 0.76 eV, 0.84eV below the conduction band in the sample before annealing and after annealing at the 300℃. The effects of annealing on the photoluminescence spectrum and deep levels is discussed.

      • PECVD법으로 형성한 W/WN/Si 구조의 열적 안정성

        플라즈마 화학 증착법으로 형성한 W/WN?/Si 구조의 열적 특성과 전기적 특성을 조사하였다. NH?/WF?입력비를 0.5로 하여 증착한 질화 텅스텐 박막의 비저항은 약 160μΩ㎝였다. 열처리 온도를 1000℃까지 증가시킴에 따라 질화 텅스텐 박막의 비정항은 약 20μΩ㎝까지 감소하였고, 이때 WN?/Si 계면에는 텅스텐 실리사이드가 생성되지 않았다. 따라서, 고온 열처리를 함에 의하여 텅스텐 박막과 실리콘 기판의 계면에 형성되는 텅스텐 실리사이드는 약 300A의 질화 텅스텐 박막의 결정구조는 주로 비정질이지만 열처리 온도를 증가함으로써 α-W의 피크가 증가되었다. 즉 갓 증착한 질화 텅스텐 박막은 결정구조상으로는 불안정하지만 고온 열처리를 하는 동안 W/WN?/Si 구조의 열적 안정성은 매우 좋은 것으로 나타났는데, 이것은 W/WN?/Si 계면에 열적으로 안정한 Si-N 화합물 또는 W-N 화합물이 형성되었거나 WN? 박막의 결정립 경계에 존재하는 질소원자가 고온 열처리 하는 동안 Si원자의 out-diffusion을 억제하는데 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 생각된다. Thermal nad electrical properties for the W/WN?/Si structures formed by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition method were investigated. The resistivity of WN? film deposited at the NH?/WF? ratio of 0.5 was about 160μΩ㎝. As increasing the annealing temperatures up to 1000℃, the resistivity of WN? film was decreased to about 20μΩ㎝ without tungstensilicide formations in the interface of WN?/Si. Therefore, it is thought that the severe silicidation at the interface between tungsten and silicon substrate are effectively suppressed by the pre-deposition of WN? this film of the about 300A. the crystal structures fo the as-deposited tungsten-nitride films were amorphous mainly, but as increasing the annealing temperature of the tungsten-nitride films the α-W peaks were increased. In other words, it was shown that the tungsten nitride films as-deposited are metastable in structures, but the thermal stability for the W/WN?/Si structure during high temperature annelaing are excellent. Therefore, it is thought that the thermally stable Si-N and/or W-N compound thin layer formed at the interface of WN?/Si, and/or the nitrogen atoms presented at the grain boundaries in the WN? films maybe play a important role to suppress the out-diffusion of the Si atoms after high temperature annealing.

      • 消癌去痰益氣湯의 cyclophosphamide 부작용 형성 억제효과

        Object : It is well known that modern chemotherapy against cancer has side effcts to a living body, especially hemopoietic and immunologial disfunctions. However, there are no effctive ways to reduce them.Recently, traditonal Korean herb medicine has been repoted to have some biological modifying responses. Therefore, we hypothesized that additional application of herb medicine during chemotherapy is more effective to reduce its side effects. While we were studying the effects, we have observed the inhibitory effect of Soamgudamikgitang on formation of side effects derived from Cyclophosphamide, it has been used in clinical practice at Kyung Hee Medicd Center.Methods : We injected 200㎎/㎏ of Cyclophosphamide, one time, to an experimental group, consisting of ten mice. We divided them into eight groups: normal, CPX, SAKT 2㎎, SAKT 10㎎, SAKT 50㎎, SAKI 2㎎+CPX, SAKT 10㎎+CPX, SAKT 50㎎+CPX. We injeted Soamgudamikgitang seven days, five days, three days, and one day before we injected CPX. One day, three days, and five days after CPX injection, we injected Soamgudamikgitang again and then killed all the mice.The parameters determined in this experiment were daily body weight liver and spleen weight, RBC, WBC, and platelet for hemopoietic dysfunction and AST, ALT for hepatotoxicity, BUN, creatine for renal toxcity, Iymphocyte proliferation activity and lymphocyte subsets for immunological toxvity.Results : We have found that Soamgdamikgitang has inhibitory effects on the formation of Cyclophosphamide 's side effects. Significant differences between the group, which contained Cyclophosphamide, and the other group, which contains Cyclophosphamide and 2, 10, 50㎎ of Soamgudamikgitang respectively were observed. Platelets(2㎎ of Soamgudamikgitang, p<O.05 ;10㎎, p<0.Ol ;50㎎, p<0.001), liver weight(SOw p.001), spieen weight(10mg, p<0.05), AST(all groups, p<0.01), ALT(2㎎, p<001 ;10㎎, p<O.05 ;50㎎, p<0.01), BUN(2㎎, p<0.01 ;50㎎, p<0.05). Althought immunological in both lymphocyte proliferation and its subsets were not observed, which shows that Soamgudamikgilang has a strong effect on T cell activities Conclusions : From the above results, we can expect that the combined therapy of Soamgudamikgitang and Cyclophosphamide is more effective for treating cancer Patients.
