        Background and Objectives: Mutation or inactivation of the p53 is important mechanism in a wide variety of human tumors. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between expression amount of p53 protein and the grade of astrocytic gliomas. Materials and Methods: This study analyzes 40 paraffin-embedded astrocytic glioma, including 10 cases of low grade, 20 cases of high grade, and 10 cases of maligant glioma (glioblastoma multiforme) were used to analyze the status of abnormal accumulation of wild type of p53 protein. The evaluation of the immunostaining result was based on the percentage of positive neoplastic cells. Results: Average positive cell rate of p53 protein were 4.2%, 35.4% and 16.2% in low grade astrocytoma, high grade astrocytoma and glioblastoma multiforme, respectively. Conclusion: p53 gene mutations were correlated with histologic grade of glial tumors. High grade and glioblastoma multiforme showed higher positive cell rate than low grade astrocytoma. These results suggest that the high positive rates of p53 protein is related to the poor prognosis.

      • 고온 초전도체 Y₁-x Ndx Ba₂Cu₃O7-y의 임계 전류밀도에 관한 연구

        고온 초전도체 Y₁-??Nd??Ba₂Cu₃O??-??(x=0.0,0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8,1.0)를 고상 반응법을 이용하여 제작하여 제작하였다. X-ray 회절실험 결과로 부터 격자상수를 구했다. x가 증가함에 따라 a,b,c값이 증가하였고 x=0.6과 x=1.0에서 anomaly 현상을 보였다. SEM 사진을 통한grain size는 x= 0.0,1.0에서 2∼3μm, x=0.6,0.8에서 4/μm, x=0.2,0.4에서 5μm 정도로 나타났다. 온도 변화에 따른 비저항 측정으로 구한 초전도 전이온도는 모든 시료에 대해 85∼92K 사이에 존재하였고 x가 증가함에 따라 감소하였다. 수송 임계전류밀도는 20-92 A/㎠사이에서 측정 되었으며 시료내의 Nd 치환량이 증가하면 J?는 증가하였고 x=0.4에서 anomaly 현상이 나타났다. 자기장을 가해준 상태엣 측정한 수송 임계전류밀도는 자기 장이 증가함에 따라 x=0.0 시료에서 급격히 감소하였고 Nd가 많이 치환된 시료에서는 감소율이 작았다. High-T??superconductor Y₁-??Nd??Ba₂Cu₃O??-??(0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0)has been prepared by the solid state reaction method. Lattice constants are calculated from the result of X-ray diffraction pattern. The lattice constant a, b, and c are increased as increasing x except for x=0.6 and 1.0 samples. SEM photograph showed that the grain size is 2∼3μm for x=0.0 and 1.0 samples, 4μm for x=0.6, 0.8 and 5μm for x=0.2, 0.4 samples. The superconducting transition temperature determined by the temperature dependence of resistivity are detected between 85K and 95K decreased as increasing x. Transport current density was observed between 20 and 92 A/㎠ and J?? increased as increasing Nd concentration in the sample except for the x=0.4 sample. Transport current density of x=0.0 sample decreased abruptly with increasing applied magnetic field and the smaple of large Nd concentration has the slowly decreasing transport current density with inereasing magnetic field.

        The conventional PI controller are fragile in parameter variation and load-variation. Therefore, in this paper, a speed control algorithm based on the Fuzzy PI controller is proposed for the high performance speed control of a voltage ?? inverter to drive 3-phase induction motors. The computer simulation and experiment results show that the proposed controller are more excellent control characteristics than conventional PI controller in transient-state and steady-state response.

        복어중독에 의한 가사 상태에서 소생한 1예

        Tetrodotoxin is a neurotoxin produced by about 90 species of puffer fish and causes paralysis of central nervous system and peripheral nerves by blocking the movement of all monovalent cation. Ingestion of tetrodotoxin produces clinical manifestations such as paresthesias(within 10-45 min), vomiting, lightheadedness, salivation, muscle twitching, dysphagia, difficulty in speaking, convulsion and death that expressed by cardiopulmonary arrest with loss of brain stem reflex sometimes. Tetrodotoxin prevents or delays ischemia induced neuronal death by way of following 3 mechanisms. Firstly, it reduces the energy demand of the brain tissues. Secondly, it delays or even prevents anoxic depolarization. Finally, it deminishes ischemia induced cell swelling and cerebral edema. We report a case of puffer fish poisoning which presented with cardiopulmonary arrest and loss of brain stem reflex, but completely recovered by aggressive cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

        This paper is studied to improve the curriculum of the College of Industrial Education of Chungnam National University, which is more helpful for the students to become a competent teacher of technical high school. The thesis includes the curriculum of general, professional, technical subjects and so on. The main conclusions are summarized as follows; 1) The current curriculum of the College of Industrial Education was formed on a wholesale manner following the basis of standard courses for some characterized engineering colleges. But the suggested is conformed to the curriculum system of CNU in credits and hours. 2) The current technical subjects are mainly based on the curriculum of college of engineering, but the newly suggested technical subjects are conformed to the curriculum of technical high school as following that some departments of engineering are founded in the College of Industrial Education. 3) In current curriculum, the ratio of reguired technical subjects to elective technical subjects is 85:15. In suggested curriculum, the ratio of it is largely changed to 45:55 for effective operation of minor cousres. And the lists of the subjects for minor courses are changed from subjects for College of Science to subjects for College of Engineering.

      • NaNO₂의 N 핵사중극 공명 연구

        펄스형 핵사중극 공명장치(Pulsed system)를 이용하여 상온에서 NaNO? 분말시료의 위와 아래 공명진동수, 핵사중극 결합상수, 비대칭인자와 스핀-스핀완화시간을 구하였다. FID공명선으로부터 구한 값은 υ+=4.6354 NHz/ υ-=3.5983 MHz, e?qQ/h=5.4891 MHz와n=0.3779이었다. 90?,ι, 180? 펄스연속(spin-echo 신호)과 r를 변화시켜 얻은 진폭을 이용하여 스핀 -스핀 완화시간 T2를 측정하였다. 이결과 υ(T?)=2.50ms, υ-(T?)=2.17ms임을 보였다. Measurements of the upper and lower resonance freqency, quadrupole coupling constant, asymmetry parameter and spin-spin relaxation time are reported for NaNO? powder sample by using the pulsed NQR system at room temperature.From FID line-shapes, we obtained υ=4.6354 MHz, υ=3.5983 MHz, e?qQ/h=5.4891 MHz and η=0.3779. The spin-spin relaxation time T? was maesured using a 90?,ι, 180? pulsed sequanco (spin-echo signals) and varying τwhile measuring the amplitude of the echo. The result showed υ+(T?) =2.50 ms and υ+(T?) =2.17ms.

        8.3% Carbamide Peroxide 함유 펜 형 자가미백제인 BIancTis Forte의 색조개선 및 안전성에 관한 임상연구

        This clinical study evaluated the whitening effect and safety of polymer based-pen type BlancTis Forte(NIBEC) containing 8.3% carbamide peroxide. Twenty volunteers used the BlancTis Forte whitening agent for 2 hours twice a day for 4 weeks As a control. Whitening Effect Pen (LG) containing 3% hydrogen peroxide was used by 20 volunteers using the same protocol. The change in shade (ΔE^(*) color difference) was measured using Shadepilot™ (DeguDent) before, during and after bleaching (2 weeks, 4 weeks and postbleaching 4 weeks). A clinical examination for any side effects (tooth hypersensitivity or soft tissue complications) was also performed at each check-up. The following results were obtained. 1 Both the experimental and control groups displayed a noticeable change in shade (ΔE) of over 2 No significant differences were found between the two group (p>0.05) implying that the two agents have a similar whitening effect. 2 The whitening effect was mainly due to changes in a and b values rather than in L value (brightness). The experimental group showed a significantly higher change in b value thus yellow shade than the control(p < 0.05) 3 None of the participants complained of tooth hypersensitivity or soft tissue complications confirming the safety of both whitening agents 8.3%의 carbamide peroxide를 함유한 펜형 코팅용 미백제인 BlancTis Forte (NIBEC, Seosul & JinCheon)를 실험군으로, 3% hydrogen peroxide를 함유한글 Whitening Effect Pen (LG. Seoul) 제재를 대조군으로 각각 피험자 20명에게 2시간씩 1일 2회 제조사의 지시대로 치아표면에 4주간 적용하도록 지시하고 색조개선 효능과 안전성을 평가하였다. 미백 효과는 미백 전 및 미백 2주, 4주 및 미백 종료 4주 후에 Shadopilot™을 이용하여 색 변화를 측정하였고, 매 내원시기마다 모든 환자는 치수생활력 검사와 치주 및 치태 검사를 통해 부작용 여부 (치아과민증 및 구감 내 연조직의 부작용)를 기록한 후 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1.실험군 및 대조군의 색 변화량 (ΔE)은 2이상으로 인지할 수 있는 색 변화를 보였으며, 두 제품 간에는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않아 (p > 0.05) 유사한 미백효능을 나타냄을 알 수 있었다. 2,미백효과는 명도의 개선보다는 주로 a. b값의 변화에 의한 것으로 특히 실험군에서 b값의 변화, 즉 황색조의 개선효과가 대조군에 비해 유의성 있게 높은 것으로 나타났다 (p <0.05). 3.치아나 치은의 과민증이나 이상증상을 호소하는 피험자는 없어 두 제품 모두 안전성을 확인할 수 있었다.

      • 77K와 상온에서 CO(NH₂)₂의 ¹⁴N Pulsed NQR 연구

        77K와 상온에서 CO(NH₂)₂분말 시료의 ??N Pulsed NQR실험을 하여 위와 아래 공명 진동수, 핵 사중극 결합상수, 비대칭 인자, 스핀-스핀 완화시간, 결정 격자 진동에서의 평균 비틀림 진동수, 진동자의 관성 모먼트 등을 구하였다. 공명 진동수의 온도 의존성은 전형적인 Bayer이론의 격자 진동에 의한 주파수 변화를 보였다. Bayer-Kushida이론의 고온근사식을 실험값에 적용하여 OK에서 공명 진동수 ν??와 ν??를 구했으며, 77K와 상온에서의 스핀-스핀 완화시간 T₂를 관측했다. 상온에서 T₂의 감소는 결정 내의 reorientation motion과 관련이 있을 것으로 보인다. Upper and lower resonance frequencies, nuclear quadrupole coupling constants, asymmetry parameters, spin-spin relaxation time, average torsional frequency in the crystal lattice motion and moment of inertia in the oscillator are found for CO(NH₂)₂powder sample by using ??N Pulsed NQR(Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance) technique at 77K and room temperature. Temperature dependence of resonance frequencies showed frequency variation in agreement with the typical Bayer's theory in lattice motion. Resonance frequencies ν?? and ν?? at OK were obtained by fitting the high temperature approximation of Bayer-Kushida theory to the experimental data and spin-spin relaxation time (T₂) was observed at 77K and room temperature. Decrease of T₂at room temperature was explained by the effect of reorientational motion in the crystal lattice.

      • 첨가제가 Mn-Zn 페라이트의 자기적 성질에 미치는 효과

        우리 연구는 첨가제가 페라이트에 미치는 효과를 연구하기 위해 두 종류의 서로 다른 금속이온을 첨가제로 한 Mn-Zn 페라이트 시료를 제작하여 이들의 자기적 성질을 비교 분석하였다. 시료 제작에 사용된 Mn-Zn 페라이트의 주 원료 조성비는 31 mol% MnO, 16 mol% ZnO 그리고 53 mol% Fe_(2)O_(3)이다. 볼밀 작업을 통해 주 원료를 잘 혼합한 후 950℃에서 3시간 동안 하소하였다. 하소된 재료에 실험에 필요한 첨가물을 혼합한 뒤 성형과정을 거쳐 1300℃에서 3시간 동안 소결하였다. 첨가물은 0.1 wt% Na_(2)SiO_(3)만을 사용한 경우 (Sample 1)와 0.05 wt% Na_(2)SiO_(3), 0.1 wt% CaO와 0.05 wt% Al_(2)O_(3)를 첨가한 (Sample 2) 두 종류의 첨가제를 이용하였다. 두 시료에 대한 자성 특성을 측정한 결과 Sample 2 시료가 Sample 1에 비해 포화자속밀도(saturation flux density) B_(8)는 더 커진 반면 잔류자속밀도(residual flux density) B_(1)과 보자력(coercive force) H_(6)는 더 적어졌음을 확인하였다. 또한 고주파 측정에서도 0.05 wt% Na_(2)SiO_(3), 0.1 wt% CaO와 0.05 wt% Al_(2)O_(3)가 첨가된 시료에서 주파수 증가에 따르는 자기손실이, 다른 시료에 비해, 매우 완만하게 증가하는 것을 관찰하였다. 이들 자기 측정으로부터 0.05 wt% Na_(2)SiO_(3), 0.1 wt% CaO와 0.05 wt% Al_(2)O_(3)의 첨가제가 Mn-Zn 페라이트의 연자성 특성을 향상시켯음을 확인하였고, 이 결과는 이들 첨가물이 소결(sintering)과정에 관하여 Mn-Zn 페라이트 미세구조의 치밀화와 입자성장을 촉진시키는 효과가 있음을 보인다. We prepared two kinds of Mn-Zn ferrites composed of 31 mol% MnO, 16 mol% ZnO and 53 mol% Fe_(2)O_(3) as a main material. These were well mixed in a ball-milling machine and calcinated at 950℃ for 3 hours. After being mixed with two kinds of additives of 0.1 wt% Na_(2)SiO_(3) (Sample 1) and 0.05 wt% Na_(2)SiO_(3), 0.1 wt% CaO and 0.05 wt% Al_(2)O_(3) (Sample 2) respectively, the materials were molded and sintered at 1300℃ for 3 hours. The sample 2 was found to have more saturation flux density, and less residual flux density and coercive force than the other one, which means that the sample 2 is more suitable for soft-magnetic material. When the samples were applied by AC magnetic field in the frequency range of 10 kMz~1 MHz, both have shown relatively stable initial permeabilities up to 1 MHz. On the other hand, the loss factof of sample 2 became less than that of sample 1 in the high frequency range above 100 kHz although there was no much difference in the resistivity of both samples through the frequency change, which suggests the additives in the sample 2 has suppressed the viscosity loss in the high frequency range. We conclude that the 0.05 wt% Na_(2)SiO_(3), 0.1 wt% CaO and 0.05 wt% Al_(2)O_(3) additives has promoted coarsening and densification of the microstructure of the Mn-Zn ferrite and resulted in the better quality of the Mn-Zn ferrite
