갈륨액체금속 이온원과 인듐액체금속 이온원의 빔 특성에 대한 연구

본 연구에서는 인듐 액체금속이온원을 제작하여 빔 특성에 대해 연구를 하였으며, 기존에 연구를 하였던 갈륨 액체금속이온원의 빔특성과 비교 분석 하였다. 빔특성 분석을 위해 빔 안정도, 전류-전압특성곡선, 에너지 퍼짐을 측정하였다. 액체금속이온원에 사용되는 액체금속 저장소 및 바늘전극(tip)은 500μm의 직경을 갖는 텅스텐을 사용하였으며, 국내에서 제작된 제품을 사용하였다. 액체금속 저장소의 구조는 이전에 구상하여 연구가 이루어진 6개의 pre-etching된 텅스텐와이어(wire)가 묶여진 형태를 사용하였다.

In this paper, the foaming method of polymer concrete was studied. The pre-composition of polymer concrete consisted of unsaturated polyester as a binder material 15∼50wt%, sand 0∼80 wt%, filler 5-50 wt%, and foaming agent 0.1∼1.5 wt%. The pre-composition was heated at 100∼200℃ for 30∼120 minutes, which thermal treatment caused hardening of unsaturated polyester and cracking of foaming agent. The foamed polymer concrete showed low thermal transfer coefficent together with good mechanical properties.

In this paper, the composition of lead glass was studied to lower the melting temperature. The composition of lead glass was silica, lead monoxide, sodium hydroxide, and other metal oxides which were blended in alkaline aqueous solution. The blend was dried and melted to produce transparent glass material. Using the composition suggested in this paper, it was possible to manufacture transparent lead glass easily at 700~900 ℃. And the dried bled material had very low softening temperature around 200℃ which can be applied in inorganic adhesives.

In the hydrogen isotope facility and the fiel cycle of the fision reactor, an effective means for analyzing hydrogen isotopes and decay product(helium) of tritium is very importat from the viewpoint of system operation and control. Chromatographic separation of the hydrogen isotopes mixture from titanium hydride was carried out by gas chromatograph at-196℃ for quantitative analytical purpose.Neon and partially deactivated alumina were employed as the carrier gas and the fixed column, respectively. The chromatogram with complete separation was observed in order ofH_2, HD and D_2 by the thermal conductivity detector. In addition, fairly good separation conditions were obtained in a shorter retention time without any appearance of nuclear spin isomers for the practical applications of the hydrogen isotope separation and analysis.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Although the etiology of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) remains unknown, it has been widely suggested that RA has a genetic background. In humans, a copy number loss of 22q11.2, a region harboring the <I>VPREB1</I> gene, has been suggested to be associated with several immunologic disorders, but there has been no study on the copy number variation (CNV) of the <I>VPREB1</I> and its potential association with RA. Here, we explored the association between the RA and the CNV of the <I>VPREB1</I> gene by performing genomic quantitative PCR and quantification of B cell subsets in RA patients and controls. The proportion of the individuals with <2 copies of the <I>VPREB1</I> gene was significantly higher in the patient group than that in the controls (12.9% <I>vs</I> 0.9%, <I>p</I><0.0001), while that of the individuals with >2 copies was lower in the patient group than that in the controls (1.7% <I>vs</I> 18.9%, <I>p</I><0.0001). The odds ratio (OR) of the individuals with <2 copies was significantly higher compared with the odds ratio of those individuals with 2 copies (OR=12.1, 95% confidence interval (CI) 2.8–51.6). Likewise, the OR of the individuals with >2 copies was significantly lower than the OR of those individuals with 2 copies (OR=0.09, 95% CI 0.03–0.3). We also found that the proportion of CD21<SUP>−</SUP>CD23<SUP>−</SUP> B cells was significantly higher in the RA patients compared with that of the controls (11.9% <I>vs</I> 5.7%, <I>p</I>=0.002), but the proportion of CD21<SUP>+</SUP>CD23<SUP>+</SUP> cells was significantly lower in the RA patients (26.2% in RA <I>vs</I> 34.9% in the controls, <I>p</I>=0.005). To the best of our knowledge, this is the first evidence showing the association between a low copy number of the <I>VPREB1</I> gene and RA, and this may help understanding the pathogenesis of RA and other autoimmune disorders.</P>
