        The Purpose of this study was to investigate leisuer activities in the age of 30's and 40's. The total sample consisted of 2,125 in the age of 30's and 40's. The data were obtained through questionnaires which were modified, interviwed, and collected by the researcher. A number of statistical procedures, Descriptive Statistics and ANOVA, were used to analyze the datd. An analysis of study determined the ersults as fllowings: 1) Male' and female' leisure time during the week and weekend was less than 3 hours. 2) Male's motivation and purpose to participate in leisure activities was "Spending time moderately" and female' motivation and purposr to participate in leisure activities was "Minimalize stress". 3) There was no differnece between males and females in terms of having leisure activities with their families. 4) No matter the gender, they were unsatisfied with a welfare system which provided local government. 5) They favorited a welfare policy where every other Saturday was a holiday.

        The purpose of this study was to discriminate the characteristics of muscle mass and skinfold thickness in made cdlesiate athletes 120 athletes from three parts of sport events who were 20∼22 years old (mean 21 age years). with ape of 21 years ANOVA. swbjects were 120 1. The maximal upper arm girth means corrected for the tricep skinfold thickness were ranged from 26.05 for the taekwondo to 31.41 for the judo. Judo was one of the greatest maximal upper arm girth means corrected for the tricep skinfold thickness in all sports (rugby, table tennis, handball, badminton, taekwondo). By scheffe test, judo and rugby is different from other sports. 2. The maximal forearm girth means were ranged from 26.13 for the taekwondo to 29.28 for the judo. Judo was one of the greatest maximal forearm arm girth means corrected for the tricep skinfold thickness in all sports (rugby, table tennis, handball, badminton, taekwondo). By scheffe test, rugby was different from taekwondo, Judo was different from taekwondo, handball, badminton, table tennis. 3. The mid thigh girth means corrected for the front thigh skinfold thickness were ranged from 50.75 for the table tennis to 57.09 for the rugby. Rugby was one of the greatest maximal mid thigh girth means corrected for the tricep skinfold thickness in all sports (rugby, table tennis, handball, badminton, taekwondo). By scheffe test, judo was different from table tennis. Rugby was different from taekwondo, handball, badminton, table tennis. 4. The maximal calf girth means corrected for the calf skinfold thickness were ranged from 34.69 for the Table tennis to 39.61 for the rugby, Rugby was one of the greatest maximal calf girth means corrected for the tricep skinfold thickness in all sports (rugby, table tennis, handball, badminton, taekwondo). By scheffe test, rugby was different from badminton. judo different from taekwondo, handball, badminton, table tennis. 5. The muscle mass were ranged from 41.88 for the table tennis to 53.07 for the rugby. Rugby had significantly greater muscle mass than other sports (judo, handball, taekwondo, badminton, table tennis). By scheffe test, rugby was different from taekwondo and judo was different from other sports (handball, taekwondo, badminton, table tennis). 6. The percentage of body mass was ranged from 61.29 for the Judo to 64.34 or the handball. Handball had significantly greater a percentage of body mass than other sports (badminton, taekwondo, rugby, table tennis, judo). By scheffe test, fudo is only different from handball. 7. The sum of skinfold thickness was ranged from 24.9mm for the taekwondo to 36.9mm for the judo. Judo had significantly greater the sum of skinfold thickness than other sports (rugby, badminton, table tennis, handball, taekwondo). By scheffe test, Judo is different from taekwondo and handball.

      • 패류중 중금속함량에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 패류중 중금속함량 측정을 위한 분석효율이 높고 간편한 분해법을 찾아내어 그 방법에 의끓 유종중인 패류중 중금속함량을 파악하고자 수행하였다. 시료를 분해시키는 Microwave와 습식, 건식회법을 비교한 결과 변형습식회화르가 가장 적합하였다. 변형습식회차딘는 려린0,3+C104+H2SOf의 혼찰산을 쪼 · j 1 (v/v)의 비율로 혼합하여 사용하였 을 때 회수을 Pb린틴. Cd 97.8, Cu 94.2, Zn 92.8%를 나타내었근 분해시간은 2~2.5시간 소요되었다. 유통중인 패류중 중금속함량 」최소~최대(평균), mgAgl 은 Pb 0.028~o.528(0.153), Cd 0.OO7~1,832(0.587), Cu 0.360~37.375(4.6691, Zn 6.317~233.2iO(38.881), Hg 0.001 ~O.151(0.012)mg/ltg으로 나타났다. 또한 유통중인 5종의 패류중 중금속평균항량이 생산지 하재지역에서 구입한 패류에 비해 모든 중금속언써 약간 높은 함량을 보였으나 오염된 수준이 아닌 자연함유량수준이었다. This study was conducted to improve the digestion method for the determination of heavy metals in shellfishes and to estimate the contents of heavy metal in commercial shellfishes by their digestion method. This digestion method was compared microwave with wet and dry ash digestion for shellfish samples, obtained results showed that the modified wet ash Ⅱ digestion was convenient and easy to use. For the modified wet ash Ⅱ digestion, The mixed acid of HNO₃+HClO₄+H₂SO₄(25:5:1, v/v) was used. Under this condition, Recoveries were Pb 94.3, Cd 97.8, Cu 94.2 and Zn 92.8% and digestion time was ∼2.5 hours. The contents of heavy metal [minimum∼maximum (mean), mg/kg in commercial shellfishes were as follows ; Pb:0.028∼0.528(0.153), Cd:0.007∼1.832(0.587), Cu:0.360∼37.375(4.669), Zn:6.317∼233.250(38.881), Hg:0.001∼0.151(0.013). The contents of heavy metal in commercial shellfishes of five species were slightly greater than those of shellfishes purchased at Hajae. There was no great difference between the contents of heavy metal of Hajae and those of shellfishes purchased at Whole market.

        급성신부전을 동반한 알콜성 횡문근융해증 2례

        Rhabdomyolysis is a biochemical and clinical syndrome caused by lysis of skeletal muscle cell and release of muscle cell contents into the circulation. In addition to traumatic cause, various nontraumatic causes have been reported. Rhabdomyolysis has frequently been associated with seamy aspects of life and society: alcoholic abuse, drug addiction, sadistic drill exercise, war events and attempted suicide. The abuse of alcohol causes many hazards in many organs. One of these is acute alcoholic myopathy that may present as a fulminent syndrome of muscle pain and tenderness associated with rhabdomyolysis and acute renal failure. Because the prognosis of adequately treated rhabdomyolysis is excellent, early recognition and prompt management are essential in emergency situation. We experienced two typical cases of alcohol-induced rhabdomyolysis with acute renal failure and report these cases with literature review.

        결핵성 흉막염의 치료에 있어서의 프레드니솔론의 효과

        Tuberculous pleurisy is a relatively common form of extrapulmonary tuberculosis. To evaluate whether prednisolone treatment can prevent pleural adhesion and result in early absorption of effusion in tuberculosu pleurisy, we studied 51 cases of exudative tuberulous pleurisy patients from Dec. 51 to Aug. 1987 by prospective randomized trials. Prednisolone was administered 5㎎/㎏/day for 3 wks in the steroid group. The results obtained were as follows: 1) At 3 months after treatment, the effusion was nearly absorbed in 6 of 18(33.3%) patients of steroid group, in 4 of 33(12.2%) patients of the non steroid group, and in 10 of the total 51(19.6%) patients. 2) At 9 months after treatment, pleural adhesion above the minimal degree was observed in 17 of 33(51. 5%). patients of the steroid group, in 8 of 18(44.4%) patients of non steroid group, and in 25 of 51(49.0%) patients in total. Among those patients, severe adhesion was developed in 2 of 51(4%) patients. 3) Pleural adhesion was developed in 14 of 33(42.4%) patients of the small amount group and 11 of 18(61.1%) patients of the large amount group. 4) Pleural adhesion was developed in 7 of 15(46.4%) patients of the early treatment group(<10 days of symptom onset), and 18 of 36(50%) patients of the late treatment group(>10 days). In conclusion, pleural adhesion was observed in a relatively large number of patients with tuberculous pleurisy after chemotherapy. Prednisolone resulted in early absorption of fluid, but could not prevent pleural adhesion significantly.

        Objectives : Samchulkunbitang (SCKBT), an oriental herbal formula, has been used in Asian countries including Korea, China and Japan to treat the chronic gastritis, gastric ulcers and gastroptosis. However, there was not report on the anti-obesity-related diseases efficacy of SCKBT. we investigated the antioxidant effects of Samchulkunbitang soft extract (SCKBTSE). We also investigated the anti-obesity-related diseases effect of SCKBT-SE, on adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 cells and PDGF-BB-induced proliferation of rat aortic Vascular smooth muscle (VSMC, A-10). Methods : Preferentially, we analyzed the component of SCKBT-SE using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). In vitro, We investigated the anti-oxidant properties of SCKBT-SE on the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryhydrazyl (DPPH) radical, contents of total flavonoid and polyphenol. 3T3-L1 cells were treated with SCKBT-SE (100 to 500 ㎍/㎖) during differentiation for 8 days. The accumulation of lipid droplets was determined by Oil Red O staining. And, To investigate the A-10 cells anti-proliferative effect of SCKBT-SE, we performed MTT assays. Results : SCKBT-SE showed inhibitory activity on adipocyte differentiation at 3T3-L1 preadipocytes without affect cell toxicity. In addition, The pre-incubation of SCKBT-SE (100 ㎍/㎖) significantly inhibited proliferation of PDGF-BB-induced VSMCs. Conclusions : The SCKBT-SE according to the present invention has excellent antihyperlipidemic and antiatherogenic effects as well as an antiobesity effect, has an effect of simultaneously treating obesity, hyperlipidemia, and arteriosclerosis, and is free from side effects by containing a traditional medicine as an active ingredient, and thus can be useful as an agent for preventing or treating obesity-related diseases

        가미소요산의 새로운 제형에 대한 항산화 활성 및 항염증 효능평가

        Objectives : Gamisoyosan (GMS) is a useful prescription for treating insomnia, dysmenorrhea and infertility induced by a stress. Also, GMS has been used traditionally to improve systemic circulation and biological energy production. The purpose of this study was to assess the anti-oxidant activity and anti-inflammatory effects of Gamisoyosan Formulation (Soft extract, GMS-SE). Methods : The biological activities such as anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects were measured through cell line-based in vitro assay. We investigated the anti-oxidant properties of GMS-SE on the 1,1-diphenyl- 2-picryhydrazyl (DPPH) radical, contents of total flavonoid and polyphenol. GMS-SE compared to butyl hydroxy anizole (BHA). Furthermore, based on this result the anti-inflammatory effects of GMS-SE have verified by mechanism from LPS- treated Raw264.7 macrophages. Results : The anti-oxidant activities of GMS-SE increased markedly, in a dose-dependent manner. The GMS-SE showed significant scavenging activity (GMS-SE 500 ㎍/㎖ : 32.77±1.65%, GMS-SE 1000 ㎍/㎖ : 45.06±1.04% and BHA 100 ㎍/㎖ : 39.25±2.41% for DPPH assay). and, The total phenolic compound and flavonoids contents of GMS-SE were 73.93±6.87 ㎍/㎎ and 698.75±6.78 ㎍/㎎. GMS-SE which is LPS has diminished in the LPS-induced release of inflammatory mediators (NO, iNOS, COX2 and PGE2) and pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1β) from the RAW264.7 macrophages. Moreover, GMS-SE inhibited the activation of phosphorylation of p38 and ERK MAPKs by induced LPS. Conclusion : The present results indicate that GMS-SE has an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, therefore may be beneficial in diseases which related to oxidative stress-mediated inflammatory disorders.

        즐례 : 재발한 Churg-Strauss 증후군 치료 중 발생한 폐농양 1예

        저자들은 오랜 기간 관해 상태를 유지하던 중 재발한 Chrug- Strauss 증후군 환자에서 시클로포스파마이드 및 경구용 스테로이드 치료 중 발생한 폐농양 1예를 경험하였다. 본 증례 는 장기간의 관해 후에도 Churg-Strauss 증후군이 재발할 수 있고 치료 중 감염이 발생하였을 때 폐포자충폐렴이나 거대 세포 바이러스 감염과 같은 기회감염 이외에 세균 감염도 발생할 수 있음을 보여주는 증례이기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보 고하는 바이다. Churg-Strauss syndrome (CSS) is a rare disease characterized by asthma, peripheral eosinophilia and vasculitis. A quarter of CSS patients with clinical remission have experienced a relapse. We report here a case of lung abscess in a patient with relapsed CSS. A 46-year-old man who achieved clinical remission of CSS was confirmed for relapse by the presence of peripheral eosinophillia, pulmonary lesions and perivascular infiltrate of eosinophils in colon pathology. After administration of systemic glucocorticoid and one cycle of cyclophosphamide pulse therapy, he complained of dyspnea, sputum and chest pain. There were necrotic masses containing internal air-fluid levels in the right upper and the left lower lobes of the lung on chest radiography. Percutaneous needle aspiration culture specimens revealed the presence of K. pneumoniae. The patient was successfully treated with a 5-week course of antibiotics. (Korean J Med 2014;86:106-109)

        Optimum Alcohol Fermenting Conditions for Kiwi (Actinidia chinensis) Wine

        The objective of this study was to establish the optimum alcohol fermenting conditions for the processing of kiwi wine and vinegar products. Six yeast strains were examined for their alcohol production from kiwi at 30oC for 72 hr with continuous shaking at 100 rpm. Under these conditions, Saccharomyces kluyveri DJ97 produced the highest alcohol content of 10.2%. As the fermentation time extended to 96 hr, the alcohol content reached a maximum of 12.75%. The optimum alcohol fermenting conditions for kiwi fruit were accomplished when kiwi was added to an equal amount of water, inoculated with S. kluyveri DJ97 and fermented at 30oC for 96 hr with continuous shaking. The content of soluble solids decreased as the alcohol concentration increased, whereas little change was observed in the pH and titratable acidity during the low temperature aging process. Other alcoholic compounds, such as methanol, isopropanol, n-propanol, isobutanol, and isoamylalcohol, tended to increase as fermentation progressed.
