        The effect of low-intensity ultrasonography on dislocation of the patella and fracture healing is controversial, and current management of that does not generally involve the use of ultrasound therapy. Nine patients with dislocation of the patella were treated with low-intensity ultrasonography(l5 mW/㎠, 1∼3.3 MHz) per 10-15 min/days, with an interval of 3 days during the last 3 weeks, at Family Animal Hospital(in Kunsan city). Ultrasound therapy may be beneficial to dislocation of the patella and healing. This finding is of considerable importance in that treatment with a low-intensity pulsed ultrasound signal may reduce healing time and could yield substantial cost savings and decreases in disability associated with delayed healing of dislocation of the patella.

      • CC Chemokine CKβ8의 발현 조절 물질 탐색 및 저해활성 물질 분석

        CKβ8은 CC 케모카인의 부류에 속하는 사이토카인의 일종으로, 단핵구, 호염구, 호산구, T 림프구, 자연살해세포, 수지상세포 등의 화학주성물질로 작용하는 것으로 알려져 있다. CKβ8은 염증반응 및 혈관신생 등과 같은 여러 가지 생체 반응에 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 사람 CKβ8 유전자의 전사저해 물질을 선별하기 위하여 CKβ8/Luc 유전자를 발현하는 세포주를 확립하였다. CKβ8 유전자의 전사시작점에서 -299 부터 +10 프로모터 부위를 PCR에 의해 얻은 다음 포유세포 발현 플라스미드에 클로닝하였다. CKβ8/Lvc 유전자는 U937 세포내에서 PMA에 의해 10배 이상 발현이 증가한다. CKβ8/Luc 발현 U937 세포주는 식물 추출물에서 전사 저해제를 탐색하는데 이용되었다. 46 개의 식물 추출물 중에서 6개가 90% 이상 CKβ8/Luc의 전사를 저해하였다. 이들 물질에 대해 세포 독성 실험을 수행한 결과 그 중 한 개만이 세포 독성이 거의 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이 추출물은 붉나무에서 얻은 추출물이며 이 식물 추출물은 염증관련 질환에 대한 가능성이 있는 치료제로 이용될 수도 있을 것으로 추측된다. Ckβ8 belongs to a family of CC chemokines, which is known to act as a chemoattractant for monocytes, basophils, eosinophils, T lymphocytes, NK cells, and dendritic cells. CKβ8 is known to play roles in various biological processes such as inflammation and angiogenesis. In the present study, we developed U937 cell line expressing CKβ8/Luciferase fusion gene for screening of transcriptional inhibitors for human CKβ8 gene. Genomic sequences that contain CKβ8 promoter region from 299 to+10 nucleotide from the transcription start site was amplified by PCR and cloned into mammalian episomal plasmid. The CKβ8/Luc fusion plasmid was introduced into human promonocytic U937 cells and selected for stable U937 cells expressing the fused reporter gene. The expression of the fusion gene was induced by more than 10 folds upon treatment of phorbol myristate acetate. The stable U937 transfectant cells were used for searching transcriptional inhibitors for human CKβ8 gene from plant extracts. Among 46 plant extracts tested, six extracts exerted more than 90% inhibition of PMA-induced CKβ8 transcription. Cytotoxic tests demonstrated that one of extracts, which was extracted from Rhus chinensis Mill, had little cytotoxic effect. The extract may be used for developing a potential therapeutic agent for inflammatory diseases.

        The purpose of this research is to find the relationship, leader-employees communication, job satisfaction of sports center employees. To attain the research objective, this study reviewed the previous literatures and derived the research model variable. Consideration and initiating structure were used as the leadership dimension. The subject in this study were 263 employees, who were selected by random sampling form 6 sports centers in Kyonggi Province at Suwon, Pundang. The collected data were handled by reliability analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA. correlation analysis and regressoin analysis. The finding of this study were as follows: First, official communication, unofficial communication, and job satisfaction are positively related with both dimensions of leadership-consideration and initiating structure. Second, free of official and unofficial communications, and ioh satisfaction are different according to leadership type. These results showed a mere clerk's significant effected by leadership style. So sports center administrator need to more human care about a mere clerk. Third, the relationships between leader-employees official communication and employees job satisfaction in sports centers are different according to leadership type. Especially official and unofficial communications were effected job satisfaction. so role of communication were very important things. If employees were not offer constant information, customers were negatives effected not only sports leaders and sports centers but also repurchasing faith. Fourth, official communication between a sport center leader and employees in sports center is positively associated with unofficial communication for all leadership types. The employees need to awareness of steady to learn exercise knowledge, teaching skills, if not members are diffidence not only sports leaders but also sports center's disagree role of positive recognised. Also the free of unofficial communications are able to satisfied their work too.

      • 의료기관의 비정규직 인사관리 실태에 관한 연구

        There is a strong tendency for the firms to increase the employment level of non-regular workers under the rapid changes in human resource management environment. However, the research on non-regular workers is scarce, and more studies need to be conducted to provide human resource managers for guidance in employing the non-regular workers. The purposes of this study are (1) to describe the human resource management practices as applied to the regular and non-regular hospital workers, and (2) to identify the problems associated with the employment of non-regular workers, thus providing the baseline data for drawing the suggestions for improvement. The sample of this study is 26 general hospitals in Pusan-Kyungnam region. The data were obtained through questionnaires and interviews with the managers in human resource management department. The results of the study are as follows: (1) The average proportion of the non-regular workers to total employees in the responding hospitals is 6.15%, which seems to be lower as compared to the national macro figure. (2) The major reason of employing non-regular workers was found to be labor cost savings, (3) The non-regular workers on the whole receive poorer treatment than regular workers in terms of human resource management including wage and benefits. On the basis of above results, the problems and suggestions for improvement were discussed in the conclusion.

      • Dynamic and coordinated single-molecular interactions at TM4SF5-enriched microdomains guide invasive behaviors in 2- and 3-dimensional environments

        <P>Membrane proteins sense extracellular cues and transduce intracellular signaling to coordinate directionality and speed during cellular migration. They are often localized to specific regions, as with lipid rafts or tetraspanin-enriched microdomains; however, the dynamic interactions of tetraspanins with diverse receptors within tetraspanin-enriched microdomains on cellular surfaces remain largely unexplored. Here, we investigated effects of tetraspan(in) TM4SF5 (transmembrane 4 L6 family member 5)-enriched microdomains (T5ERMs) on the directionality of cell migration. Physical association of TM4SF5 with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and integrin alpha 5 was visualized by live fluorescence cross-correlation spectroscopy and higher-resolution microscopy at the leading edge of migratory cells, presumably forming TM4SF5-enriched microdomains. Whereas TM4SF5 and EGFR colocalized at themigrating leading region more than at the rear, TM4SF5 and integrin a5 colocalized evenly throughout cells. Cholesterol depletion and disruption in TM4SF5 post-translational modifications, including N-glycosylation and palmitoylation, altered TM4SF5 interactions and cellular localization, which led to less cellular migration speed and directionality in 2-or 3-dimensional conditions. TM4SF5 controlled directional cell migration and invasion, and importantly, these TM4SF5 functions were dependent on cholesterol, TM4SF5 post-translational modifications, and EGFR and integrin alpha 5 activity.         Chemical and Nanomechanical Characteristics of Fluorocarbon Thin Films Deposited by Using Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition

        In this study, the chemical and nanomechanical characteristics of fluorocarbon (FC) films deposited by using plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition on Al were evaluated to apply them as antistiction layers. The calculated deposition rate with C4F8 was 325 nm/min at an optimized process condition of 10 sccm, 30 W, and 340 mTorr. The contact angles of the FC thin films on Al were around 110, regardless of the deposition time. The surface energies were around 14 mN/m, and the contact angle hysteresis was lower than 35. FTIR-ATR (Fourier transform infrared attenuated total reflection) spectra showed the presence of fluorocarbon groups. The adhesion and friction force after FC film deposition showed lower and more stable values than those of bare Al. Depositing the FC films at powers above 50 W increased the hysteresis, the adhesion force, the roughness and the friction force. The addition of Ar resulted in a decrease in the thickness of the FC film during deposition. The deposited FC films gradually decomposed at 200 C.
