      • DJ-1/park7 modulates vasorelaxation and blood pressure via epigenetic modification of endothelial nitric oxide synthase

        <P><B>Aims</B></P><P>DJ-1/park7, a multifunctional protein, may play essential roles in the vascular system. However, the function of DJ-1/park7 in vascular contractility has remained unclear. The present study was designed to investigate whether the DJ-1/park7 is involved in the regulation of vascular contractility and systolic blood pressure (SBP).</P><P><B>Methods and results</B></P><P>Norepinephrine (NE) elevated contraction in endothelium-intact vessels in a dose-dependent manner, to a greater extent in DJ-1/park7 knockout (DJ-1/park7<SUP>−/−</SUP>) mice than in wild-type (DJ-1/park7<SUP>+/+</SUP>) mice. Acetylcholine inhibited NE-evoked contraction in endothelium-intact vessels, and this was markedly impaired in DJ-1/park7<SUP>−/−</SUP> mice compared with DJ-1/park7<SUP>+/+</SUP>. Nitric oxide (NO) production (82.1 ± 2.8% of control) and endothelial NO synthase (eNOS) expression (61.7 ± 8.9%) were lower, but H<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB> production (126.4 ± 8.6%) was higher, in endothelial cells from DJ-1/park7<SUP>−/−</SUP> mice than in those from DJ-1/park7<SUP>+/+</SUP> controls; these effects were reversed by DJ-1/park7-overexpressing endothelial cells from DJ-1/park7<SUP>−/−</SUP> mice. Histone deacetylase (HDAC)-1 recruitment and H3 histone acetylation at the eNOS promoter were elevated and diminished, respectively, in DJ-1/park7<SUP>−/−</SUP> mice compared with DJ-1/park7<SUP>+/+</SUP> controls. Moreover, SBP was significantly elevated in DJ-1/park7<SUP>−/−</SUP> mice compared with DJ-1/park7<SUP>+/+</SUP> controls, but this elevation was inhibited in mice treated with valproic acid, an inhibitor of Class I HDACs including HDAC-1.</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>These results demonstrate that DJ-1/park7 protein may be implicated in the regulation of vascular contractility and blood pressure, probably by the impairment of NO production through H<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB>-mediated epigenetic inhibition of eNOS expression.</P>

        주차장에서 일어날 수 있는 비매너 주차로 인한 충돌을 사전에 예방하기 위한 단속시스템이다. 주차장에서 일어날 수 있는 장애인, 전기차 전용 주차구역에 일반차량 주차, 2개 차선을 물고 주차하는 차량이 있다. 위와 같은 차량을 딥러닝 객체인식 기능을 통해 비매너 주차를 감지하여 알려준다. 비매너 주차 상황이 찍힌 사진이나 영상을 학습데이터로 사용하여 상황을 인식할 수 있도록 학습데이터를 제작하고 그 상황을 인식하여 비매너 주차 유무를 판단한다. 주차장의 환경을 좀 더 쾌적하게 함으로써 주차장 이용자간 충돌을 줄이는데 목적이 있다. It is a enforcement system to prevent collisions caused by unmanageable parking that may occur in parking lots. There are handicapped people who can get up in parking lots, general vehicles parked in electric vehicle parking areas, and vehicles parked in two lanes. The vehicle above is detected and notified through the deep learning object recognition function. By using a picture or video of an unmanageable parking situation as learning data, the learning data is produced so that the situation can be recognized, and the situation is recognized to determine the presence or absence of unmanageable parking. The purpose is to reduce collisions between parking lot users by making the environment of the parking lot more comfortable.

        이명직의 성서강해 연구

        The purpose of this paper is to describe and analyse several Bible expositions (Matthew, Daniels, Songs of Solomon, Romans, Ruth, Hosea, Revelation) written by Lee, Myung-Chick during 1920s. Rev. Lee has been called the father of the Holiness Church for long time. He had been the chief administrator of the Holiness Church and the principal of the Kyung-Sung Bible School (now, Seoul Theological University) for several decades. However, he was also the famous Bible expositor in Korean Church. He wrote many Bible expositions in his life and published them in monthly the Living Water. His exposition of the Bible had influenced the Holiness Church as well as the Korean church in general. In 1920s, Korean society confronted secularization of western culture, communism from Russia, and liberal theology of western church. In this context, Lee had tried to maintain the Full (or pure) Gospel of the Bible. He had criticized secularization very strongly, considered communism as anti-Christ, and attacked liberal theology as a threat of Christianity. After description and analysis of the Bible exposition, the writer concludes the main characteristics of the Bible expositions by Lee, Myung-Chick as followings. First, Rev. Lee tried to read the Old Testament from Christological perspectives. He found many Christological figure in the Old Testament. Second, he stood in the tradition of the Wesleyan Holiness movement, key teaching of which is the Holiness experience by the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Third, his framework of the Bible interpretation is premillennialism. For Rev. Lee, Chiristian should live in the shadow of the second coming of Christ. Fourth, his emphasis on holiness and the second coming of Christ led to attack secularization as anti-Christ. Christian should not follow this world. Here Holiness movement considered as anti-secularization movement. Finally, Rev. Lee explained the Bible from woman’s perspectives. Of course, Rev. Lee is not feminist. However, all Christian should be a bride of the coming Christ, the bridegroom of all believers. For him, Daniels, Ruth, and the woman of Solomon in the Songs were the examples of true bride of Christ. Church history sometimes considers as history of the Bible interpretation. The Bible interpretation principles of Rev. Lee had heavily influenced the Korean Holiness Church.

Proceeding of International Symposium on East-West Medicine Seoul. 187-200, 1999.-Twirling the needle (TN) is one of several needing methods frequently used for acupuncture in the oriental medicine. The present study was conducted to see if TN enhanced the antinociceptive effect produced by plain-or electroacupuncture in the rat tail flick test. Rats (Sprague-Dawley, 200-300g)lightly anesthetized with thiopental sodium(40mg/kg, i.p.) were used in the tail-flick test. The basal reaction time for tail-flick was 2 sec. For "plain" acupuncture(PA), a needle was inserted for 20 min into a Chock-samni (ST36) acupuncture point which (is located at the anterior tibial muscle and about 10mm below the knee joint). For electroacupuncture(EA), train-pulses(3 Hz,0.3-ms pulse width, 0.2-0.3mA) were applied to the inserted needle for the period of insertion. For combining TN with either PA or EA, TN was performed during the each acupuncture period. Two methods for TN were used; twirling 3 times for 1 second persisted for 1 min in every 5 mins(long-duration and long-interval;LDLI) and twirling 3 times for 1 second persisted for 10 sec in every 1 min(short-duration and short-interval;SDSI). PA and EA produced an increase in tail flick latency (TFL); peak increases were 21.3±5.1% and 42.1±17.3% of the pre-acupunture control, respectively, and occurred immediately after cessation of 20min-acupuncture. Performing TN combined with PA increased TFL more than PA itself by showing a greater peak increase in TFL when performed with a SDSI-TN than with a LDLI-TN(60.6±12.5% and 42.7±22.7% of the pre-acupuncture control, respectively). Performing TN combined with EA also increased TFL more than EA itself and a greater peak increase in TFL was observed with a SDSI-TN as compared to a LDLI-TN(77.5±13.8% and 67.3±14.0% of the pre-acupuncture control, respectively). These results indicate that TN enhances both PA-and EA-produced antinociception where an greater enhanced antinociception than a LDLI-TN. It is suggested that performing a SDSI-TN combined with EA seems to be one of the most effective ways to produce analgesia.

        한국인 직무 스트레스 측정도구의 개발 및 표준화

        Background and Purposes: Over the past three decades, numerous studies performed in Korea have reported that job stress is a determinant risk factor for chronic diseases and work disability. Every society has its own culture and occupational climate particular to their organizations, and hence experiences different occupational stress. An occupational stress measurement tool therefore needs to be developed to estimate it objectively. The purpose of this study is to develop and standardize the Korean Occupational Stress Scale (KOSS) which is considered to be unique and specific occupational stressors in Korean employees. Subjects and Methods: Data were obtained from the National Study for Development and Standardization of Occupational Stress (NSDSOS Project: 2002-2004). A total of 12,631 employees from a nationwide sample proportional to the Korean Standard Industrial Classification and the Korean Standard Occupational Classification were administered. The KOSS was developed for 2 years (2002-2004). In the first year, we collected 255 items from the most popular job stress measurement tools such as JCQ, ERI, NIOSH and OSI, and 44 items derived from the a qualitative study (depth interview). Forty-three items of KOSS, in the second year, were retained for use in the final version of the KOSS by using Delphi and factor analysis. Items were scored using conventional 1-2-3-4 Likert scores for the response categories. Results: We developed eight subscales by using factor analysis and validation process: physical environment (3 items), job demand (8 items), insufficient job control (5 items), interpersonal conflict (4 items), job insecurity (6 items), organizational system (7 items), lack of reward (6 items), and occupational climate (4 items). Together they explained 50.0% of total variance. Internal consistency alpha scores were ranged from 0.51 to 0.82. Twenty-four items of the short form of the KOSS (KOSS-SF) were also developed to estimate job stress in the work setting. Because the levels of the subscales of occupational stress were gender dependent, gender-specific standard norms for both the 43-item full version and the 24-item short form using a quartile for the subscales of KOSS were presented. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that KOSS might be an appropriate measurement scale to estimate occupational stress of Korean employees. Further and more detailed study needs to be conducted to improve the validity of this scale.

        This has been studied sizing of filament yarns with various size recipe and sizing speed. The results were as follows. The effect of size add-on was more influence of size speed than size recipe. The initial modulus was more influence of sizing at 70?? filament yarn than at 150??filament yarn. When the sizing, it is found that the size recipe ratio have effect on physical properties of sized yarn by PVA and Acryl mixed was 4.5 : 5.5 (PVA : Acryl) and breaking stress and strain was more influence of sizing at 70??filament yarn than at 150??filament yarn.

      • 風速에 따른 不織布의 保溫性에 關한 硏究 : - 風速, 두께 및 密度變化에 對하여- - On the Change of Fabric Thickness, Packing Density and Air Velocity

        This has been studied on thermal and warmth retaining properties under with controlled heating and constant heat flow on thermal insulation of Non-Woven fabric by comparing it with changing factor of packing density, air velocity and thickness. The transmission of air was more inferance of thickness than air velocity at over thickness 30mm and air velocity 2.5m/sec. The time of thermal equlibrium is increased at heavy thickness and low air velocity and transmission area which is less influence of the air velocity was detected in sample thickness 20mm. The change of warmth retaining was incresed from 10% to 33% at density 0.038g/㎤ and thickness 30mm under air velocity from 1.0m/sec to 30m/sec.

        Although the conventional current transformers(CTs) and the potential transformers(PTs) have been used in the power system, new method is demanded which can measure with safty, EMI(electro-magnetic interference)-free. Over the last few years, variours kinds of optical measurement systems have been studied. The optical CTs and PTs systems, however, are very complicated and large, and hence the systems have a difficulty to maintain and repair. A new type fiber optic voltage and current transducers were fabricated by using fiber optic Fabry-Perot interferometer and PZT. A simple optical signal processing circuits and its PC interface circuits were also designed.
