생약추출물에 의한 화상치료효과

연구목적: 본 연구는 당귀, 작약, 시호 등 다양한 약초 성분을 혼합하여 제조한 생약추출물이 화상치 료제로서의 가능성이 있는지 확인하기 위한 전임상 예비실험으로 2도 화상을 입힌 랫드의 피부에 수차 례 살포하고 시간경과에 따른 피부조직의 치유 정도를 자연치유군과 비교해 평가하고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 4주령의 랫드를 5마리씩 양군에 배정하여 2도 화상을 유도한 후 한군은 자연치과정을, 나머지 한 군은 생약추출물을 살포한 후 3일간 치유과정을 육안으로 관찰하고 면역조직염색을 통한 조 직변화를 비교 평가하였다. 결과: 화상 3일 후의 창상부위는 육안 상으로 관찰했을 때 생약처리군의 경우가 자연치유군에 비해 상 대적으로 매우 빠르게 호전되는 것으로 나타났으며 병리조직학적 비교에서도 생약처리군의 경우가 다 소 경미한 것으로 나타났으나 화상 중앙부위에 대한 조직학적 차이는 관찰되지 않았다. 결론: 본 연구에서 비록 조직학적 측면에서의 효과를 검증하지는 못하였으나 생약추출물의 화상치유 효과에 대한 충분한 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 보다 구체적이고 장기적인 연구를 통하여 생약추출물 의 화상치유 효과를 검증할 필요성이 있다.

Flavobacterium meningosepticum에 의한 균혈증 1예

1996년 6월 카톨릭대학교 부천성가병원에 뇌경색으로 입원했던 61세 남자 환자의 혈액에서 Flavobacterium meningosepticum을 분리하였다. 환자는 폐렴을 동반한 패혈증의 예로 ceftriaxone과 metronidazole을 투여하였으나 입원 48시간만에 사망하였다. Flabovacterium meningosepticum is a rae cause of nosocomial infection which shows multi-drug resistance. It mainly invades patients with impaired immunity. Recently, we experienced a case of F. meningosepticum bacteremia in a patient with chronic debilitated state owing to stroke. The clinical progress was so rapid that he died within 48 hours. Blood culture revealed F. meningosepticum which showed characteristic yellow colony in blood agar plate.

곡류가루 첨가가 소시지의 품질 및 저장성에 미치는 영향

To investigate the effect of cereal powders on the quality and storage characteristics of sausage, Aw, pH, microbial count, TBA value, VBN value, textual and sensory characteristics were examined. Water activity tended to decrease as storage time prolonged and all the samples showed higher Aw's than that of the control. During the storage period, pH values of all the samples decreased. L, a and b values had a tendency to decrease during the storage period. During the four weeks storage at 4℃, TBA and VBN values of all the sample showed increasing tendency and were lower than those of the control. Total plate counts of bacteria, the number of lactic acid bacteria and coliform bacteria counts increased as the storage time prolonged. Texture characteristics of all samples increased up to 1 week storage and decreased subsequently. The sensory scores of all the samples decreased as the storage time prolonged.

We report a case of lymphocutaneous sporotrichosis in a 76-year-old female successfully treated with oral fluconazole. This case had showed almost complete clinical resolution by 200mg daily administration of oral fluconazole for 7 weeks and has got no relapse until 18 weeks after the completion of the treatment. We would emphasize good therapeutic effects of fluconazole such as more rapid therapeutic response than the previous reports and no observable side effects. [Kor J Med Mycol 4(2): 148-152]

In an end milling process, the undeformed chip section and cutting forces vary periodically with the phase change of the tool. However, the real undeformed chip section area deviates from the geometrically ideal one owing to the cutter runout and tool shape error. In the current study, a method of estimating the real undeformed chip section area which reflects the cutter runout and tool shape error is presented during up-end milling processes of Inconel 718. The specific cutting forces, K_r and K_t are defined as the radial and tangential cutting forces divided by the modified chip section area, respectively. Both of the K_r and K_t values become smaller as the helix angle increases from 30˚ to 40˚. Whereas they become larger as the helix angle increases from 40˚ to 50˚. The K_r and K_t values show a tendency to decrease with increase of the modified chip section area.

This paper explores the scientific idea of mind-body medicine and how particular mind-body intervention focusing on stress reduction and relaxation can be useful methods to Improving health state. On the basis of the psycho- neuroendocrine-immune triangular circuit, the mind-body pathway has been Investigated. Among many mind-body intervention, Qi-training and Qi-therapy are described, research on their effectiveness is reviewed, conclusions are drawn, and the applicability to clinical practice is discussed. Given existing empirical support for the effectiveness of these interventions, the authors provide Korean scientists With an overview of the psychoneuroimmunological effects of Qi-training and Qi-training, and possibility of their medical benefits.
