마우스에서 히알우론산 나트륨이 항염효과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

Purpose: The purpose of this study was not only to evaluate the relative mRNA expression of interleukin-1β(IL-1β), cyclooxygenase2 (COX-2) and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) by RT-PCR analysis but to observe pattern of edema by light microscopic and electron microscope after topical apply of hyaluronic acid in inflammation-guided mouse. Material and methods: Mice of this study were devided into 4 groups: Control group (no inflammation guided), Positive control (inflammation guided + vaselin apply), Protopic group (inflammation guided + protopic apply), Hyaluronic group (inflammation guided + hyaluronic acid apply). Results: Hyaluronic group showed less expressions of IL-1β, COX-2, PGE2 than those of positive control & protopic group. Hyaluronic group revealed a decreased inflammation than positive control & protopic group in Light Microscope. Hyaluronic group appeared decreased edema of ear compare to positive control & protopic group in Elecron Microscope. Conclusion: It was considered that hyaluronic acid has an antiinflammatory effect for intercepting the gene expression of cytokines related to inflammation.

Silicon carbide (SiC) has recently drawn an enormous industrial interest because of its useful mechanical properties such as thermal resistance, abrasion resistance and thermal conductivity at high temperature. RF Thermal plasma (PL-35 Induction Plasma, Tekna CO., Canada) has been utilized for synthesis of high purity SiC powder from cheap inorganic solution (Tetraethyl Orthosilicate, TEOS). It is found that the powders by thermal plasma consist of SiC with free carbon and amorphous silica ($SiO_2$) and, by thermal treatment and HF treatment, the impurities are driven off resulting high purity SiC nano-powder. The synthesized SiC powder lies below 30 nm and its properties such microstructure, phase composition, specific surface area and free carbon content have been characterized by X-ay diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), thermogravimetric (TG) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET).
이부 비대칭 치료를 위한 새로운 이부 성형술의 소개 - 전환 이부성형술: 증례보고

Conventional slinding genioplsty has the risk of mental nerve injury after operation and difficult to correct vertical asymmetry of chin. So, authors propose a new genioplasty to correct asymmetry of chin. Switching genioplasty is a modification method of conventional genioplasty. Between mandibular right and left canine, osteotomy line of triangular shape make until mandibular lower border. In large side, osteotome line of wedge shape is added to reduction. After osteotomy, segment of wedge shape was separated from chin. Distal segment was rotated to reduction side. Because of rotation of distal segment, space is made in opposite side. Seperated segement of wedge shape from large side is switched this space to fill. So, stability of distal segment is achieved. Authors applied to swiching genioplasty the patients who was remained the chin asymmetry after both sagittal split ramus osteotome was done because mandible asymmetry. After operation, patient and operator were satisfied with excellent esthetic results without any other complication. The switching genioplasty is effective surgical technique for chin asymmetry because it has more advantages than conventional sliding genioplasty. First, other donor side does not need for bone graft. Second, the switching genioplasty can reduce infection, bone resroption, dehiscence, capsular contraction after allograft. Third, have little mental nerve damage. Forth, anteroposterior correction is possible. Fifth, operation time is less than other genioplasty for chin asymmetry.

Purpose: This study was performed to find out the effects of the Er:YAG laser (Key Laser) & Er,Cr:YSGG laser (Water Laser) on inflammatory tissues. Materials and Methods: It was performed on about 20 g, 6 weeks male ICR mouses. They were grouped into the control (negative), the inflammation induced 'control'(positive), Er,Cr:YSGG laser exposured group after inducing inflammation, Er:YAG lasere exposured group after inducing inflammation each 15 mouses. The mouses were applicated 0.5% DNFB 1 cc on ear skin twice a day for 4 days until symptom expression. After laser exposure, ear tissues were extracted and defined gene expression by RT-PCR. Then, tissue staining, lymphocytes observation, electromicroscophic laboratory were carried out. Results: Interleukin-$1{\beta}$ was expressed much less in the A-laser exposed group. Interleukin-$1{\beta}$ & Tumor Necrosis Factor-${\alpha}$ were expressed 7 times lesser in the A-laser exposed group. The number of Lymphocytes related to inflammation was decreased rapidly in the A-laser exposed group in vivo. he number of cavity recovered normal was a little bigger in the A-laser exposed group after 5 days Conclusion: The expression of IL-$1{\beta}$ & TNF-${\alpha}$, hitologic change, observation with electron microscope shows that Erbium laser exposure causes lesser inflammation with A-laser rather than B-laser.
