        3차원 전산화단층촬영 영상을 이용한 안면 연조직 두께 계측의 임상적 유용성

        Purpose : To evaluate clinical usefulness of facial soft tissue thickness measurement using 3D computed tomographic images. Materials and Methods : One cadaver that had sound facial soft tissues was chosen for the study. The cadaver was scanned with a Helical CT under following scanning protocols about slice thickness and table speed; 3 mm and 3 mm/sec, 5 mm and 5 mm/sec, 7 mm and 7 mm/sec. The acquired data were reconstructed 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 mm reconstruction interval respectively and the images were transferred to a personal computer. Using a program developed to measure facial soft tissue thickness in 3D image, the facial soft tissue thickness was measured. After the ten-time repeation of the measurement for ten times, repeated measure analysis of variance (ANOVA) was adopted to compare and analyze the measurements using the three scanning protocols. Comparison according to the areas was analyzed by Mann-Whitney test. Results : There were no statistically significant intraobserver differences in the measurements of the facial soft tissue thickness using the three scanning protocols (p>0.05). There were no statistically significant differences between measurements in the 3 mm slice thickness and those in the 5 mm, 7 mm slice thickness (p>0.05). There were statistical differences in the 14 of the total 30 measured points in the 5 mm slice thickness and 22 in the 7mm slice thickness. Conclusion : The facial soft tissue thickness measurement using 3D images of 7 mm slice thickness is acceptable clinically, but those of 5 mm slice thickness is recommended for the more accurate measurement.

        경안면 괴사성 근막염 : 증례보고

        Necrotizing fasciitis is defined as infectious disease showing extensive necrosis of the superficial fascia with widespread involvement of the surrounding tissues and concurrent systemic toxicity. It is found commonly in the extremities, the trunk and the perineum, but shows extremely rare occurrence in the well vascularized area such as head and neck area. Occurred in the head and neck area, it is called "cervicofacial necrotizing fasciitis" (CFNF). It is a fatal disease which carries a mortality rate up to 60%. Early diagnosis, aggressive surgical debridement of necrotic tissues and massive antibiotics therapy are essential for achieving a favorable outcome. We present a case of cervicofacial necrotizing fasciitis in 35-year-old male patient with literature review.

      • 자동차차체 및 부품제조업 산업장의 작업환경실태에 관한 조사 연구

        Objectives: For the purpose of preparing the fundamental data and control the working environment and assessing the status of working environmental in manufacturing industry of bodies for motor car and of parts. Methods and Materials: Accessories for motor car and its engines the auther measured the noise level, concentration of dust, heavymetals, organic solvents, chemicals to 99 industries(24 working processes) form Feb. 2000 to Oec. 2000. Results: The results were as follows : 1. Mean noise level cutting, grinding, pressing, foundries and shot-blast was exceeded to threshold limit value(TLV) of noise. 2. Mean concentration of total dust was not exceeded to TLV. 3. Mean concentration of Mn in welding process and Pb in drying, welding, fabricating, rolling was exceeded to TLV. 4. Mean concentration for chemicals and organic solvents were not exceeded to TLV. 5. Mean concentration of dust and heavymetals were statistical significant difference between with local ventilation system and without local ventilation system. Conclusion: Above results, author suggest to prepare more passively control to working environment where exceeded the TLV.

      • 누설전류 파형 측정에 의한 실리콘 고무의 표면 열화 평가

        In this study, we investigated the erosion resistance of the silicone rubber by measuring leakage current with Inclined-Plane Method. From the results of our study, it was observed that the typical leakage current waveform was the mixed figure of sinusoidal wave and rectifying wave. And, it is considered that the former is due to conductivity of the contaminant when the surface is wet, and the latter is due to the arc discharge of dry band. And, as the surface erosion is being accelerated, the proportion of the rectifying wave is increasing. And, the ratio of discharge duration to discharge-extinguish time changes and can be divided into three regions, which is similar to the changes of erosion depth and width. Therefore, it can be known that the erosion process has some correlation with the change of leakage current.

        The transport characteristics of electrolyte osmosis through the perfluorinated cation exchange membrane, Nafion NX-430, was inverstigated. The order of electrolyte permeation velocities of single valent ions was:??>??>??>??. At constant concentration ratio the electrolyte fluxes have shown maximum and minimum values with respect to electrolyte concentration, which is called anomalus osmosis. The correlations between potassium ion fluxes and concentration ratios was shown as follows. ?? The effective charge density calclated from membrane potential was 1% of the fixed charge concentration.

        일부 지역 만성 신부전 환자들의 업무와 관련된 유해물질의 노출에 관한 연구

        목적: 우리나라에서 만성 신부전 환자의 유병률은 점차 증가하고 있는 추세이며 중대한 건강문제로 대두되고 있다. 매년 새로운 투석환자의 3%가 독성물질에 의해 발생한다고 하였으며 많게는 50%까지 독성물질에 의해서 유발된다고 한다. 우리나라에서 유해물질에 노출되어 발생된 만선 신부전이 업무상 질병으로 인정된 적은 있으나 만성 신부전 환자를 대상으로 업무관련성을 조사하거나 발생 규모를 파악하기 위한 연구는 수행된 적이 없다. 이에 본 연구는 일부 지역 만성 신부전 환자들의 업무과 관련하여 노출된 유해물질을 조사하여 업무와의 관련성을 파악하고자 하였고, 이를 통해 업무상 유해물질 노출에 의한 만선 신부전 발생을 예방하는데 도움이 되고 향후 연구의 기초자료로 이용하고자 이 연구를 수행하게 되었다. 방법: 2003년 3월 2일부터 31일까지 경주시 소재 1개 병원과 포항시 소재 3개 병원에서 투석을 받고 있는 환자 238명 중 161명(67.6%)에 대하여 본 연구진이 개발한 설문지를 이용하여 조사하였다. 만성 신부전을 유발할 수 있는 신독성 물질로 세계보건기구의 Environmental Health Criteria 119(EHC119)에서 제시한 유해 물질들을 중심으로 사업장에서 노출빈도가 높은 16개 물질을 선정하였다. 업무와 관련성이 있을 것으로 추정하는 만성 신부전 환자 중 기존에 알려진 신독성 물질에 장기간 노출되었던 경험이 있고, 이 중 원인 질환을 알 수 없는 경우 업무관련성이 있다고 판단하여 추정 환자(probable case)로 정의하였다. 결과: 연구 대상자의 성별 분포는 남자 92명(57.1%), 여자 69명(42.9%)이었으며, 연령별로는 60세 이상이 가장 많았고, 원인 질병별 분포는 당뇨병 55명(40.4%), 고혈압 28명(20.6%), 만성 사구체 신염 14명(10.3%) 등의 순이었다. 업무와 관련하여 유해물질에 노출된 경험이 있다고 응답한 사람은 33명(20.5%)이었다. 이 중 파라쿼트를 취급하였다고 응답한 15명을 제외한 18명에 대해서 업무관련성이 있다고 추정 또는 의심되는 10명과 업무관련성이 없다고 판단되는 8명으로 분류하였다. 업무관련성 만성 신부전으로 추정되는 10명(6.2%)의 노출된 유해물질은 실리카, 유기용제, 주석, 구리, 납, 카드뮴 등이었으며, 과거 질병력은 고혈압 3명(30.0%), 당뇨병 2명(20.0%), 미상 5명(50.0%)이었다. 본 조사에서는 업무와 관련이 없다고 판단하였으나 법원판결에 의해 인정된 한 예는 고혈압을 앓으면서 고온 작업 중 식염을 섭취하여 악화되어 발생하였다고 하여 인정되었고, 다른 예는 과로에 의하여 발생하였다고 하여 인정되었다. 결론: 본 연구에 의하면 업무상 유해물질 노출에 의한 만성 신부전으로 10례(6.2%)가 추정되었다. 그러나 만성 신부전이 업무와 관련해서 발생하고 직업병으로 인정된다는 사실을 알고 있는 환자는 거의 없었다. 앞으로 우리나라 만성 신부전 환자에서 업무상 원인에 의한 발생 규모를 파악하고 위험요인을 조사하고 알리는 연구가 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각한다. Objectives : Recently, chronic renal failure has become a major public health problem all around the world, and the number of patients in Korea affected by this disease has sharply increased since the 1980's. Between 3% and 50% of all cases of chronic renal failure may be induced by toxic agents. The purpose of our study was to investigate the occupational hazards associated with chronic renal failure, in order to use findings as a reference for further epidemiologic studies. Methods : The author conducted a questionnaire and reviewed the medical records of chronic renal failure patients(161 people out of 238) in Gyeongju-si and Pohang-si from March 2 to 31, 2003. Those cases of chronic renal failure which were related to work were classified as either 'probable case' if they were of unknown origin or 'suspected case' if they of know origin and were related to hypertension of diabetes mellitus. Results : The study subjects consisted of 92 males (57.1%) and 69 females (42.9%). The causalities listed in the medical records were diabetes mellitus in 55 cases (40.4%), hypertension in 28 cases (20.6%), chronic glomerulonephritis in 14 cases (10.3%), and other disease. There were 10 cases (6.2%) that were believed to be related to the patients' occupations. The hazards that these 10 patients had previously been exposed to were silica, organic solvents, tin, copper, lead, cadmium, and other hazards. Conclusions : Through this study, 10 cases that were reportedly related to occupational chronic renal failure were discovered. Further studies such as a case-control study of occupational risk factors related to chronic renal failure will be needed.

        We investigated the effect of acid rain on the surface aging, and resistance to tracking and erosion of silicone rubber materials : First, we measured the contact angle, SEM, EDX, and weight reduction to investigate the surface aging caused by immersion in the artificial acid rain solution. From the results of a series of experiments, we concluded that the acid rain attacked the base polymer of the surface, and lead to the depolymerization. Second, we adopted Inclined-Plane Method to measure the resistance to tracking and erosion of silicone rubber, and rather not observably affected the immersed specimen in the tracking resistance than in the erosion resistance.

        DBD 반응기에서 플라즈마 방전형태에 따른 PFC_(s) 가스의 분해 특성

        Perfluorocompounds(PFC_(s)), such as tetrafluoromethane (CF₄) and hexafluoroethane (C₂F_(6)), have been widely used as plasma etching and chemical vapor deposition (CVD) gases for semiconductor manufacturing processes. Since these PFC_(s) are known to cause a greenhouse effect intensively, there has been a growing interest in reducing PFC_(s) emissions. Among various CF₄ decomposing techniques, a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) is considered as one of a promising candidate because it has been successfully used for generating ozone (O₃) and decomposing nitrogen oxide (NO). Firstly, optimal concentration of oxygen for CF₄ decomposition was found to figure out how many primary and secondary reactions are associated with DBD process. Secondary, to find effective discharge method for CF₄ decomposition, a streamer and a glow mode in DBD are experimentally compared, which includes (ⅰ) coaxialcylinder DBD, (ⅱ) DBD reactor packed with glass beads. and (ⅲ) a glow mode operation with a helium gas. The test results showed that optimal concentration of oxygen was ranged 500 ppm~1% for treating 500 ppm of CF₄ and helium glow discharge was the most efficient one to decompose CF₄.

        鹽生植物 나문재의 生育特性과 利用可能性

        기능성식품 원료, 채소, 식물성 소금 재료 및 제염식물 등으로 개발이 유망시되는 염생식물인 나문재의 육지부 재배 가능성을 조사하고, 내륙지방에서의 작물화 가능성을 검토코자 전남 서해안의 염전 부근에 자생하는 나문재의 종자와 식물체를 공시하여 내륙지방인 전남 무안군 소재의 『목포시험장』포장에서 시험하였던 바 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 가. 나문재는 식물체를 이식하여도 생육이 양호할 뿐만 아니라 2년 묵은 종 자에서도 발아가 잘되었으며 발아소요 기간은 9일 정도 였고, 나문재의 생육은 소금기가 부족한 내륙에서도 비교적 양호하였으며, 병충해나 기타 재해도 거의 없어 내륙에서의 재배화 가능성이 높은 것으로 인정되었다. 나. 나문재의 생육에 미치는 소금물의 공급 효과를 검토하기 위해 1주일 간격으로 바닷물 농도의 소금물을 공급한 결과, 초장은 소금물을 공급한 것이 공급하지 않은 것 보다 양호하였으나 줄기의 굵기와 분지발생 수 는 소금물 공급효과가 크지 않았다. 다. 나문재의 생체중과 건물중은 종자파종의 경우 7월 10일 현재 소금물 처리구는 각각 주당 33.75g, 2.62g인데 비해 무처리구는 각각 23.52g, 1.84g으로서 소금물 처리구가 무겁고, 생체중에 대한 건물중의 비율은 대체로 7.14∼11.58% 범위로서 수분함량은 92.86∼88.42%정도 되는 다육식물 이었다. 라. 결론적으로 나문재는 소금기가 많은 곳에서 잘 생육할 뿐만 아니라 소금 기가 적은 곳에서도 생육이 비교적 양호하며, 식물전체에 짠맛을 가지고 있으므로 식물성 소금, 기능성 식품, 채소, 그리고 간척지나 음식물쓰레기의 염분제거 식물로서의 이용 가능성 등에 대한 보다 면밀한 검토가 필요하다고 보여진다. The plant of halophyte, Suaeda asparagoides MIQ, which is mainly inhabit on tidal flat was investigated on their growth characteristics and cultural traits on inland condition, in order to get some informations on it's possible use for functional food, vegetables, medicinal herb, and salt removing plant from tideland, or food-waste. The plant, Suaeda asparagoides M_IQ., is well grown on inland condition. But the salt applicated plants were better than those of the non-treated plants in its vegetable growth. The plant height is about 78.5cm in salt application, compared to the 64.5cm in non-treated plot. But the stem diameter and the number of branches are not better in salt application compared to the non-treated ones. However, the fresh weight and dry weight of the plant in salt-application are better than those of the non-treated ones, which means the total biomass is more productive by the salt application. As a conclusion, the plant Suaeda asparagoides M_IQ, seems to be an available plant and need to more discussion for possible use mentioned in the above sectors, from the results of inland cultivation of which well grown and characteristics.

        골격성 Ⅲ급 부정교합 환자에서 하악골상행지 시상분할골절절단술후 상순과 하순의 연조직 변화에 관한 연구

        Purpose : The prediction of profile change as a result of orthognathic surgery remains a problem during preoperative planning because of the difference relative movements of the hard and soft tissues. This study was performed to predict the changes o( upper and lower lips after BSSRO with non-rigid fixation Material and Methods : 15 patients wish skeletal Class III malocclusion treated by bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy(BSSRO) and mandibular setback were selected for analysis. Cephalometric data of presurgery and postsurgery 12 months were used. Wilcoxon signed rank test, calculation of Spearmans correlation rho and simple regression analysis were performed to predict the relations between hard tissue changes and soft tissue changes. Results : The horizontal change of hard tissue Pogonion and those of lower lips showed high correlation and the ratios were from 71% to 84%. The horizontal change of hard tissue Pogonion and those of chin showed high correlation and the ratios were from 90% to 92%. The horizontal change of hard tissue Pogonion and those of upper lips showed moderate correlation and the ratios were from 7% to 18%. Conclusion : This study suggests that the changes of lower lips are highly affected by the hard tissue change of mandible and those of upper lips are moderately affected. In comparison with other studies, no significant differences were found among the fixation methods.
