        정안침요법(整顔鍼療法)을 응용하여 호전된 후천성 사경환자 치험 2례

        Objectives : This report intended to estimate effects of Jung-an acupuncture on the acquired torticollis caused by muscle contraction. Methods : The patients were treated by Jung-an acupuncture, herb medication and Physical treatment daily. The improvement of the patients was judged by Toronto Western Spasmodic Torticollis Rating Scale(TWSTRS), Tsui's score and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). Results : After 7 days of treatment, the 2 patients' neck pain and cervical movement were improved. Also, TWSTRS score, Tsui's score and VAS were all reduced. Conclusions : As the Jung-an acupuncture's theological base is organized with meridian theory and myofacial release therapy, We considered the Jung-an acupuncture is effective not only for the skin disease but also for the muscle problem such as torticollis.

      • 용융금속 이송용 전자기 펌프의 유동해석 및 실험

        This study aims at analyzing the flow characteristics of the electromagnetic pump using a linear induction motor (LIM) for transferring molten metals. The flow characteristics of the pump are simulated by magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) program. In this system, the LIM is used for transferring molten metal by electromagnetic force. The molten metal is treated as the secondary part of the LIM. Since the LIM produces an electromagnetic force in the duct, the molten metal can flow from the furnace to the reservoir. The flow characteristics of the pump are analyzed using MHD program for magnetic field of 0.1[T] in duct. In order to prove the analysis, we made a prototype electromagnetic pump using LIM.

        In this work, a new type of UV flame detection system was developed. In order to measure the performance of UV flame detector, various kinds of experiments was performed. The results show that the maximum response time of the UV flame detector is 0.2 seconds when the detection distance is one meter The advantages of this system include wide area, high speed response and high sensitivity. After testing the W flame detector in engine compartment it detected fire within 0.09 seconds and extinguished within 5 seconds. Hence, the UV flame detector can be applied in automatic fire suppression system for automobiles.

      • Effect of Photoperiod, Temperature and True-leaf Stage in Bolting Rate of Chicory (Cichorium intybus L. var. sativus)

        Root chicory (Cichorium intybus L. var. sativus) is potential alternative medicinal and sugar crop which accumulates a high amount of linear polyfructan, inulin in its roots. A problem in root production is that over-wintered stock plants often flower. Once the plant becomes reproductive, stem elongation and root growth slows and floral buds arise from every node, rendering the plants useless for propagation. The objectives of this research was to examine the effectiveness of manipulating environmental factors containing photoperiod, temperature and number of leaf states. The experiment was performed in growth chamber to create two photoperiods (8 h, and 16 h) with three temperature regimes (5℃/3℃, 10℃/8℃, and 15℃/13℃ day/night temperature) for a total of six treatments on three type of true-leaf stage of plant. Data of bolting rate, shoot and root length, shoot and fresh weight was invetigated in each treatments. This is the first report on changes in bolting rate and shoots and roots production during a whole growing season and differences in the effect of cold and photoperiod treatment depending on the true-leaf stage of plant.

      • Improved Micropropagation of Root Chicory, Cichorium intybus L. var. sativus.

        The establishment of an efficient protocol for plant regeneration and micropropagation from leaf explant cultures of Chicory, Cichorium intybus L. var. sativus. is reported. Callus formation rate appeared 100% from explant in all growth regulators, but calli formed in the prensence of naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) were appeared very compact and non-embryogenic state. The regenerated shoots were obtained from leaf explant cultures on solid MS medium containing different concentrations of cytokinins and auxin. The highest number of shoots (5.7) per explant and shoot growth (2.8cm) was obtained on MS medium containing 0.1 mg BAP L^-1 and 0.1 mg NAA L^-1. Indole acetic acid was the most suitable auxin for root formation among three auxins tested. 2,4-D had no effect on shoot and root formation.

        Enhanced Densification and Hardness of Titanium Bodies Sintered by Advanced Hydrogen Sintering Process

        A new sintering technique for enhancing a densification and hardness of sintered titanium body by supplying hydrogen wasdeveloped (Hydrogen Sintering Process, HSP). The HSP was developed by only injecting hydrogen into an argon atmosphereduring the core time. As a result, sound titanium sintered bodies with high density and hardness were obtained by the HSP. In addition, a pore size and number of the HSP specimens were smaller than those of the argon atmosphere specimen. It wasfound that the injecting hydrogen into the argon atmosphere by HSP can prevent the formation of oxide layers, resulting inenhanced densification and hardness.

        Reliability and validity of the short‐version instrument to measure health promotion for Korean cancer survivors

        Purpose: The current study tests the validity and reliability of the short version of the Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile II (HPLP‐II) when used to measure health promotion for Korean cancer survivors. Methods: The survey data were collected from 175 Korean cancer survivors who were diagnosed with breast or colorectal cancer in South Korea. The confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling were conducted to examine the construct and criterion validity of the Korean version of the HPLP‐II. Results: Findings demonstrated that excluding nutrition and stress management, four subscales showed good internal consistency. The three competing models of the HPLP‐II were tested to determine the factor structure of the HPLP‐II for Korean cancer survivors: (a) the original 6‐factor, (b) the modified 4‐factor, and (c) the modified 5‐factor. The five‐factor solution with 23 items was selected for the final model. The criterion‐related validity based on the relationships between health promotion and HRQOL was demonstrated. Discussion: This study makes an important contribution to understanding the health promotion measure used by Korean cancer survivors. Specifically, this study provides a rationale to investigate the validity of a measure before such measures are used in the different language and cultural groups.

        Acinar cell carcinoma is a rare tumor that represents 1~2% of al1 pancreatic cancers. Clinical and radiologic findings are inconclusive in this disease Acinar cell carcinoma is characterized by rapid progression and early metastasis, which lead to its poor prognosis. A 41-year-o1d man was admitted to our hospital for abdominal pain. Abdominal computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) showed a splenic mass, which was being invaded by a pancreatic tail mass and which had increased ^(18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake Primary radical distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy were performed. Pathologic findings revealed an acinar cell carcinoma of the Pancreas The patient underwent a total gastrectomy three months later because of gastric recurrence Four months later, multiple hepatic metastases were discovered, and the patient underwent a left hepatectomy During treatment with capecitabine, there was no evidence of tumor progression for 14 months. We report a case of metastatic pancreatic acinar cell carcinoma, which did not progress for an extended period while the patient was being treated with capecitabme.

        심방 중격과 승모판 전엽 양쪽에 동시에 부착된 좌심방 점액종 1예

        저자 등은 심계항진을 주소로 내원한 59세 여자 환자에서 심초음파에 의해 진단하여 종양 절제를 성공적으로 시행한 좌심방내 심방 중격과 승모판 전엽 양쪽에 동시에 부착된 점액종 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Myxoma is the most common primary cardiac tumor. It usually develops on the interatrial septum, and occurs in the left atrium in more than 75% of cases. Myxoma in the ventricle is much less common and accunts for only 5% of cases. A myxoma arising from mitral valve is exceedingly rare and is normally located on the atrial side of valve, with and eqivalent distribution between the anterior and posterior leaflets. We report a case of myxoma that arose from both the interatrial septum and anterior mital leaflet. which has not been previously reported in the literature.

        패션브랜드자산의 형성과정에 관한 연구 : 캐주얼 브랜드를 중심으로 Focused on casual wear brand

        In this complex marketing world, marketers find themselves having to grapple with difficult issues about branding and their brand management. In many cases, a deeper understanding of how consumers feel, think, and act could provide valuable guidance to address these brand-management challenges. The objective of this study is to conceptualize and test the framework of building fashion brand equity, utilizing Keller's CBBE Model as a theoretical framework and Kim and Lim's (2002) scale as a measurement model of fashion brand equity. We conducted a survey toward 696 university students using Kim and Lim's fashion brand equity scale. To test the hypothesized building paths of fashion brand equity, statistical analyses were performed with AMOS 4.1 program using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model. The results of this study were as follows. First, fashion brand equity was defined in terms of six components; customer-brand resonance, customer feeling, customer judgment, brand imagery, brand performance and brand awareness. Fashion brand equity was multi-dimensional brand attitude, which could be measured by 16 items. Consequently, Kim and Lim's scale acquired a statistical validity. Second, the proposed conceptual framework of this study was partially significant. We can provide an effectiveness of Keller's CBBE model to conceptualize the building process of fashion brand equity. Third, it was different between two brands to build fashion brand equity.
