In this paper, we has been studied the variable diffusion filter bank. A variable diffusion filter bank which varies the width of pass band is using diffusion network. A variable diffusion filter bank which has advantage of building multi-channel without additional hardware. The simulation result of pass band ripple was very small and the range of slop hand was ignorable.

In this thesis, the method for period detection of korean continuous speech recognition, detecting the voice section out of input signal and classification of the voice section by voiced and unvoiced, after period detection in classified voiced. Strong at noise, because of threshold energy stipulate in input signal, possible to detecting the voice section and classification voiced and unvoiced by zero crossing rate(ZCR) and short time energy(STE), period detecting possible as real-time approach by matlab.

Objectives : The timing of aneurysm surgery has been a topic of major neurosurgical controversy. Aneurysmal rebleeding is the most cataclysmic and disabling event following initial subarachnoid hemorrhage. Thus, early surgical obliteration of aneurysm eliminates the potential for rebleeding during the highest risk period. Method : The results of operation for the twenty-three patients who had admitted to neurosurgical departments, Mokdong hospital and undergone surgery within the 24-72 hours after initial rupture of these aneurysms from October, 1993 to August, 1996, were reviewed. Results : Twenty-three patients underwent craniotomy for clipping and intracranial clot evacuation, and postoperative hypertensive, hypervolemic, and hemodilution therapy. The outcome was excellent in 10(43%), good in 3(13%), poor in 5(22%) and death in 5(22%). The mean age was 57.7 and the ratio of male to female was 13:10. The outcome according to Hunt-Hess(H-H) grade was followings. H-H grade 1 was 2(%) and all excellent outcome, H-H grade 2 24(61%) and the outcome were excellent in 8(35%), good in 1(4%), poor in 2(9%), death in 3(13%), H-H grade 3 was 6(26%) and good in 2(9%), poor in 2(9%), death in 2(9%), and H-H grade 4 was 1(4%) and the outcome was poor in 1(4%). The outcome according to grading system of Fisher was followings. Grade 2 was 6(26%), and the outcome was excellent in 5(22%) and death in 1(4%). The grade 3 was 14(61%) and excellent in 5(22%), good in 2(9%), poor in 3(13%), and death in 1(4%). The grade 4 was 3(31%) and good in (4%) and poor in 2(9%). The variations in anterior communicating complex were followings. The both A_1 equal in 6(26%), left A_1 dominancy was 1(4%), right A_1 atresia was 13(57%) and left atresia was 3(13%). Conclusions : The most favorable outcomes and lowest mortality rate were patients of H-H grade 1 group. The surgical results of alert patients with early surgery should even further improve as compared to delay surgery. However, patients who present in poor medical condition at the time of operation were still indicated delay surgery.

Objective: 본 연구의 목적은 게임몰입 시 MMORPG 고위험사용자와 일반사용자의 정량적 뇌전도 반응을 측정하고 몰입반응에 따른 고위험사용자와 일반사용자의 판별 가능성을 알아보는 것이다. Background: 게임중독은 다양한 사회문제를 일으키는 심각한 사회병리학적 원인이다. MMORPG는 현실에 가까운 가상세계에서 사용자를 과도하게 몰입시키는 문제를 유발하고 있어 사회적으로 많은 문제점을 낳고 있다. 그럼에도 MMORPG의 몰입에 관한 정량적 측정과 심리생리학적 현상파악이 아직까지 규명되지 않고 있는 실정이다. Method: MMORPG로 대표되는 Diablo3 게임의 사용경험이 있는 8명의 사용자가 실험에 참가하였다. 실험의 독립변수는 인터넷게임 중독판별 설문지로 진단된 사용자군(고위험사용자군, 일반사용자군)으로 구성하였다. 종속변수로는 4가지 측정영역(Fz, Cz, Pz, O1)에서의 뇌파신호로 선정하였다. 측정영역별 뇌파신호는 Theta, Alpha, SMR, Low Beta의 각 파워 스펙트럼 비율로 분리되었고, 이를 조합한 4가지의 매개변수를 분석에 사용하였다. 실험참가자는 주어진 게임상황에서 50분 간 게임을 진행하였고 시간의 흐름에 따라 뇌파 신호를 수집하였다. Results: Paired T-test 결과 Fz의 Alpha파, Pz의 Theta파를 제외한 모든 부위 뇌파에서 고위험사용자군과 일반사용자군이 뇌파반응 차이를 보였다. 특히 Cz와 O1 영역에서 유의성 높은 차이를 보였다(유의수준 1%). Conclusion: 고위험사용자군과 일반사용자군의 MMORPG 수행 시 뇌파를 몰입의 차이를 발견할 수 있었고 Cz 부위의 Theta, Alpha, SMR 파는 중독정도에 따른 몰입반응을 관찰할 수 있는 지표로서 사용할 수 있다고 본다. Application: 고위험사용자군과 일반사용자군의 MMORPG 몰입반응을 관찰할 수 있는 정량적 지표를 제공하고 이 자료를 바탕으로 과도한 몰입으로 인해 유발되는 중독현상을 사전에 발견하고 차단할 수 있는 기술로써 활용할 수 있다.

<P>Although<I>Aster glehni</I>has been reported to prevent diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolemia, insomnia, and cardiovascular disease, the anti-inflammatory effect of<I>Aster glehni</I>in colonic tissue remains unclear. In this study, we investigated the anti-inflammatory effects and the underlying molecular mechanism of an ethanol extract of<I>Aster glehni</I>(AG) in mice with dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis. AG significantly attenuated DSS-induced DAI scores, which implied that it suppressed diarrhea, gross bleeding, and the infiltration of immune cells. AG administration also effectively prevented shortening of the colon length and enlargement of the spleen size. Histological examinations indicated that AG suppressed colonic damage and the thickness of the muscle layer induced by DSS. In addition, AG inhibited the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6, and the protein expression of COX-2 and iNOS in mice with DSS-induced colitis. Administration with AG suppressed the activation of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) including the nuclear translocation of the p65 NF-κB subunit, phosphorylation and degradation of IκB-α. Taken together, these findings suggest that the anti-inflammatory effects of AG are mainly related to the inhibition of the expressions of inflammatory mediators<I>via</I>NF-κB inactivation, and support its possible therapeutic application in colitis.</P>
Interregional synaptic maps among engram cells underlie memory formation

<P>Memory resides in engram cells distributed across the brain. However, the site-specific substrate within these engram cells remains theoretical, even though it is generally accepted that synaptic plasticity encodes memories. We developed the dual-eGRASP (green fluorescent protein reconstitution across synaptic partners) technique to examine synapses between engram cells to identify the specific neuronal site for memory storage. We found an increased number and size of spines on CA1 engram cells receiving input from CA3 engram cells. In contextual fear conditioning, this enhanced connectivity between engram cells encoded memory strength. CA3 engram to CA1 engram projections strongly occluded long-term potentiation. These results indicate that enhanced structural and functional connectivity between engram cells across two directly connected brain regions forms the synaptic correlate for memory formation.</P>
