The interest in ocean is being increased by the growth of industry and economy activities. All countries of the world have an acute interest in territorial sea and exclusive economic zone which have their sovereignty and economic power, so they are competing with each other for the profitable zone of jurisdiction. As we adjacent to the district of ocean with china and japan, it is very important for us to decide an accurate territorial base point, still more it must be measured accurately without any friction with them. In this study, we surveyed 6 straight base points of the west sea by GPS. we analysed surveying accuracy according to broadcast ephemeris, igr and igs precise ephemeris. Also we analysed the coordinate result of WGS 84 and Tokyo datum for presenting an efficient surveying method of a territorial base point. Because a territorial base point must be measured by the low-water line as UN convention on the law of the sea, it isn't easy to approach. As a result of this, we found that continuos moving survey of OTF is an efficient method to survey safely and quickly in a ship. In case of sraight base point comprised of middle-long base line, we could cut down the observation time by using accurate orbit and produce the WGS 84 result within 1 ppm relative accuracy. To produce the Tokyo datum of territorial base point, we analysed the 2 dimension network adjustment based on national standard point and coordinates transformation. With this study, we could decide the territorial base point of the west sea using GPS.

Zanthoxylum schinifolium (Z. schinifolium) and the seed oil of Z. schinifolium has been widely used as culinary applications and traditional medicine for epigastric pain in Korea, China, and several Asia nations and the components or extracts of Z. schinifolium have been reported to have pharmaceutical effects such as anti-platelet aggregation, inhibitory activities against monoamine oxidase, antioxidant and anticancer activities, and anti-inflammatory activity. In this study we got the results that 200 mg/kg/day seed oil of Z. schinifolium oral administration for 13 weeks enhances most immune-related cells and is biologically safe. However as B cell population was increased by Z. schinifolium seed oil administration but B cell function was not changed by that, ultimately we deduced that Z. schinifolium seed oil doesn't have the modulation effect about B cell. To evaluate the biological safety of repeated Z. schinifolium seed oil administration the index of biological safety such as CBC, hematological enzymes, and especially histopathological morphologies was measured but no changes related with Z. schinifolium seed oil administration had been shown. Conclusively Z. schinifolium seed oil is one of the safe candidates to modulate immunity.
A Study on the Obtaining Navigation and Geo-Spatial Information Using WADGPS
Lee, Yong-Wook,Park, Joung-Hyun,Lee, Eun-Soo Korean Society of Surveying 2004 Korean journal of geomatics Vol.4 No.2
Recently, a lot of interest focuses on DGPS with which it is possible to obtain 3D geographic information in real time. There are some methods to transmit corrected signals which use ground based systems as beacon, as well as wireless and TV broadcasting media. However, these methods require a large number of stations. Therefore, when the distance from station to user is increased, there is a range limit to the transmission of corrected signals. In order to solve these problems, WADGPS method using Geo-satellite is being investigated. In this study, static and kinematic tests were performed by using Satloc SLX WADGPS and Ashtech receivers. The results showed that SA was affected most among corrected signals of WADGPS; it was followed by ionospheric delay, tropospheric delay and satellite orbit errors. The accuracy of static observation was approx. $\pm$1m on SA-on. This was ten times as accurate as that of absolute observation by common receiver on SA-off. In the SA-off, the accuracy of WADGPS can be improved further. The result of kinematic tests by WADGPS acted in concert with that of standard DGPS by C/A code. It was concluded that the application of W ADGPS could improve considerably navigation and the construction of geographic information.

ObjectiveTo estimate the odds ratio of prepregnant body mass index (BMI), gestational weight gain (GWG), and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) for excessive fetal growth, which we define as large for gestational age (LGA). MethodsWe included 16,297 women who delivered a live-born singleton baby at term. We fit logistic regressions to estimate the odds ratios of variables, including maternal age, parity, prepregnant BMI ≥23, GWG ≥15 kg, and GDM, for LGA. We classified GWG into four categories (<10, 10-14.9, 15-19.9, and ≥20 kg) and BMI into four categories (underweight, normal, overweight, and obese). After adjusting for age and parity, we analyzed the odds ratios of prepregnant BMI according to GWG between non-GDM and GDM women for LGA. ResultsThe odds ratios of GWG ≥15 kg and prepregnancy BMI ≥23 for LGA were 2.40 (95% confidence interval [CI], 2.16-2.67) and 2.24 (95% CI, 1.99-2.51), respectively. The odd ratio of GDM was 1.37 (95% CI, 1.09-1.71). The risk of GDM women with normal/-overweight BMI and GWG <15 kg for LGA was not significantly greater than those of the reference group. The odd ratios of GDM women with overweight/obese BMI and GWG 15 to 19.9 kg were 3.95 (95% CI, 1.26-12.38) and 9.70 (95% CI, 3.79-24.87), respectively. ConclusionGWG ≥15 kg might be a more important risk factor for LGA than either prepregnancy BMI ≥23 or GDM. Risk for LGA was highest in obese GDM women with GWG ≥15 kg.

Objective: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is associated with an increased cardiovascular events. These may be related to insulin resistance (IR). We evaluated status of IR and analyzed the relationship between IR and clinical and laboratory characteristics in patients with RA. Methods: We examined 52 RA patients (43 females) and 52 age and sex matched healthy controls. We measured Homeostasis model assessment (HOMA) IR, calculated according to fasting serum glucose and insulin. Results: In patients, age was 50.8±10.2 years old, disease duration was 42.1±30.9 months. In controls, HOMA IR was 0.62±0.30 and in patients, it was 1.28±0.50. This difference was highly significant (p<0.001). Patients with early RA (disease duration is less than 36 months) were 28, and established RA (more than 36 months) were 24. HOMA IR was significantly higher in patients with established RA (1.42±0.45) than those with early RA (1.16±0.45) (p=0.03), and significantly correlated with disease duration (r=0.36, p=0.01), BMI (r=0.36, p<0.001), total cumulative prednisolon dose (r=0.34, p=0.01). Disease duration and BMI were independent predictors for HOMA IR (p<0.01, p=0.03). Conclusion: In patients with RA, IR measured by HOMA IR was more significantly increased than that of healthy control and significantly correlated with disease duration, BMI, and total cumulative prednisolon dose; however, the determinants of HOMA IR in RA patients were disease duration and BMI.

Neurofibromatosis type 1 is the most common neurocutaneous disorders and affects between 1/2,000 and 1/4,500 people. This occurs at any age and is hereditary disease with autosomal dominant fashion.. Renovascular hypertension is major form of renal manifetation of the disease. There are few reported cases in Japan and Hungary of Recklinghausen`s neurofibromatosis with several glomerular lesions but their relationship is not apparent. A 21-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of general edema. On admission, the blood pressure was 130/80 ㎜Hg and general edema was noted. He had a plexiform neuroma on right flank and multiple cafe-au-lait spots on chest and extremites. Laboratory findings were as follows; Hemoglobin 14.2 g/dL, AST 28 IU/L, ALT 12 IU/L, albumin 1.2 gm/dL, total cholesterol 533 ㎎/dL, urinary protein 4.0 gm/day, C3 86.6 ㎎/dL, C4 19.9 ㎎/dL, HBs Ag/Ab (+/-), HBe Ag/Ab (+/-), HCV Ab (-), HBV DNA probe 6,000 pg/mL. Renal biopsy was performed and the histological findings were compatible with minimal change disease. The immunohistochemical method revealed that HBsAg was negative. We experienced a case of minimal change disease concurrent with Neurofibromatosis type 1, but their relationship is not clear. We report this case with a brief review.

Background/Aims: To identify the predicting factors of present hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection among patients with positivity for antibodies to HCV (anti-HCV). Methods: We analyzed patients who showed positive enzyme immunoassay (EIA) results and performed an HCV RNA test as a confirmatory test at Kyung Hee University Hospital at Gangdong from June 2006 to July 2012. The features distinguishing the groups with positive and negative HCV RNA results were reviewed. Results: In total, 490 patients were included. The results of the HCV RNA test were positive and negative in 228 and 262 patients, respectively. The index value of anti-HCV, mean age, platelet counts, total bilirubin, prothrombin time international normalized ratio, albumin and alanine transaminase (ALT) levels differed significantly between the two groups. On multivariable analysis, an index value of anti-HCV >10 [odds ratio (OR)=397.27, P<0.001), ALT >40 IU/L (OR=3.64, P=0.001), and albumin <3.8 g/dL (OR=2.66, P=0.014) were related to present HCV infection. Conclusions: Although EIA is not a quantitative test, considering the anti-HCV titer with ALT and albumin levels may be helpful in predicting present of HCV infection.
