      • Ziegler-Natta 폐촉매외 Bauxite에서 Alumina의 抽出

        Alumina extraction technique was developed by treating Bauxite and waste Ziegler-Natta catalyst with 3N~10 N NaOH Solution. Reaction times from 2hrs to 24hrs were compared with the amount of alumina recovered after CO_2 gas neutralization. About 50% of alumina were extracted out from the samples by treating 6~7 N NaOH for 10 hours. This low concentrated NaOH solution technique was very effective for little quantity production of alumina with relatively simple reaction facilities. And this method was definately good for the better recovery of NaOH, and for the raw material such as waste Ziegler-Natta Catalyst.

      • 한국 남자 중·고등학교 체력검사를 위한 준거지향기준 설정

        The purpose of this study was to establish Criterion-Referenced Standards(CRS) of the Korean Youth Fitness Test for the male middle and high school students. The subjects of this study were 50 physical educators and 1,000 male students. CRS were established by using judgemental, empirical, normative, and mixed methods. The results were as follows; 1) CRS by using judgemental method were higher than CRS by using the different methods and judgemental CRS among physical educators were variable which was considered as arbitrary CRS. 2) CRS by using empirical method were lower than CRS by using different methods, and validity indices of empirical criterion were low, too. 3) CRS by using normative method were lower than CRS by using judgemental method and higher than CRS by using empirical method in middle school, and as high as CRS by using judgemental method in high school. 4) Among three national norms of Korea, Japan, and U.S.A., Japan's norms which are very similar to Korea's normas were higher than the U.S.A.'s. The norms based on the Korean youth fitness were similar to the norms of Japan but higher than the norms of U.S.A.. were the lowest, and those of Korea were lower than those of Japan.

      • γ-Fe_2O_3 의 製造 및 磁氣特性

        In case of the γ-Fe_2O_3 preparation, pH of the Fe(OH)_2 solution and oxidation temperature of the FeO(OH) which was influenced on the magnetic properties of the γ-Fe_2O_3 has been investigated. The magnetic properties of these samples were measured with self-made magnetic hysteresis loop tracer. The formation of compound γ-Fe_2O_3 has been confirmed by X-ray diffraction. It was obtained that the preparing conditions of γ-Fe_2O_3 were about pH 10 of Fe(OH)_2 solution and oxidation temperature 300℃ of FeO(OH). The purity of this sample was obtained about 95%. The saturation magnetization(Ms) and the coecive force (Hc) are found to be varied with pH and oxidation temperature, and the maximum value of Ms, 68 emu/gr, and of Hc, 140 Oe, are obtained at pH 10 and oxidation temperature 300℃.

        실리콘 겔에 활성화된 복강 대식세포의 interleukin-6 및 tumor necrosis factor-α에 의한 섬유모세포 중식 자극

        Silicone gel breast implants may induce local(fibrous capsular contracture) or systemic(rheumatoid arthritis, systemic sclerosis, etc) complications. The exact mechanism of fibrous capsular contracture has not been fully understood. In the present study, we tried to find out the effect of silicone gel on the fibroblast proliferation which has been known as a major contributing factor in fibrous capsular contracture formation. In vitro, activated macrophages are known to secrete monokines which affect fibroblast proliferation and collagen synthesis. And tumour necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and interleukin-6(IL-6), which were released by macrophages, were reported as potent stimulator of fibroblast proliferation. The goal of this study is to investigate the role of macrophages and tumour necrosis factor-αor interleukin-6 in the interaction of fibroblasts and silicone gel. We designed four groups, two experimental and two control, using Institute for Cancer Research(ICR) mouse peritioneal macrophage and silicone gel. For the preparation of the conditioned medium of macrophages, peritoneal macrophages were prepared and cultured for 24 hours on the silicone gel-coated and naked (not coated) surface [silicone gel-macrophage conditioned medium(SCM; experimental group) and normal polystyrene-macrophage conditioned medium(NCM; control group) respectively]. To correct the effect of 10% fetal bovine serum which was included in Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing Institute (RPMI) 1640 medium and draw the effect only by macrophages, the RPMI 1640 medium with 10% fetal bovine serum was cultured by the same method on the silicone gel-coated and naked surface (silicone gel-macrophage free conditioned medium; SFM and normal polystyrene-macrophage free conditioned medium; NFM respectively). Each conditioned medium was added onto NIH 3T3 fibroblasts culture at a final 25% concentration of total culture medium and followed by the cultivation for 24 hours. For antibody neutralizing experiments, each conditioned medium was preincubated with polyclonal rabbit anti-mouse TNF-α antibody or polyclonal rat anti-mouse IL-6 antibody for 1 hour and then, conditioned medium with antibody was added to the culture medium of NIH 3T3 fibroblasts by the same method. After 24 hours cultivation, total number of viable fibroblast(cell growth), DNA synthesis and collagen synthesis of fibroblasts with each medium were measured by sulforhodamine B(SRB) assay, 3H-thymidine and 3H-proline incorporation respectively. The results were as follows: 1. In the experiment about the effect of the conditioned medium on the fibroblast activity, the experimental group(SCM), compared with the control group(NCM), showed a significant increase of the cell growth (p<0.01), a significant decrease of DNA synthesis(p<0.001), but no significant difference in the collagen synthesis. 2. In the experiment about the effect of polyclonal rabbit anti-mouse TNF-α antibody on the fibroblast activity, after the addition of antibody the experimental group, compared with the control group, showed a significant decrease of the cell growth(p<0.001), a significant increase of DNA synthesis(p<0.01), but no significant difference in the collagen syn thesis. 3. In the experiment about the effect of polyclonal rat anti-mouse IL-6 antibody on the fibroblast activity, after the addition of antibody the experimental group, compared with the control group, showed a significant decrease of the cell growth(p<0.001), a significant increase of DNA synthesis(p<0.0001), but no significant difference in the collagen synthesis. In conclusion, culture supernatants (conditioned medium) of peritoneal macrophages, activated by silicone gel, stimulate the NIH 3T3 fibroblast proliferation. TNF-α and IL-6, products of macrophage, are involved in the stimulation of NIH 3T3 fibroblast proliferation in an in vitro condition.

      • 국산 흑연의 熱的성질과 결정성

        The crystallinity and the thermal property of four graphites produced in Korea were studied by x-ray and DT/TGA. The sample OR exhibited to be most well graphitized crystal whereas the TH and GA were relatively well crystallized. The amorphous graphite SW had shown little crystallinity by x-ray diffractogram. DTA and TGA study of these graphite show significant difference in ignition temperature and heat of combustion according to the crystallinity.

      • 陽이온 交換된 天然제올라이트의 CO氣體 吸着性質

        The infrared spectra of cation exchanged natural zeolites were obtained and the adsorption isotherms of CO gas adsorbed on those samples were obtained. The adsorptions of CO gas on the Na^+ cation exchanged samples took place considerably more than on the other cations exchanged ones. The relative adsorption capacities of CO gas were in decreasing order of Ni^2+>Co^2+>Cu^2+. This tendency was related to the polarizing power of exchanged cations.

      • Silica 및 고체시료의 적외선 스펙트럼을 위한 Silicon Wafer 기술

        The silicon wafer is chemically stable below 800℃and not significantly oxidized below the temperature to be penetrable to the beam of infrared. The infrared absorption bands of silica were observed at 1090㎝^-1 (band1), 805㎝^-1(band2), 470㎝^-1(band3). The band 1 and 2 were assigned to the asymmetric and symmetric stretching vibration, and the band 3 was assigned to the Si-O bending vibration of SiO_2 The Si-O absorption bands on the infrared spectra were shifted to higher frequency according to the increase of oxygen ratio in the silica. The silicon wafer technique for the gas adsorption studies had advantage on getting sharper absorption of the brittle mineral samples, the water soluble polymer samples, and the efflorescent samples which were unable to be self-supported. Besides, this technique was effectively applicable to the samples such as copper sulfate which easily react with KBr.

      • 동해지방의 천연 Zeolite 의 건조제로서의 흡착특성

        Some selected natural zeolites obtained from Kyungpook coastal area were modified by HCI, NaOH and NH_4OH solutions and exposed to the atmosphere of various vapour pressure within the desiccator. Generally, silica gel exhibited as good moisture adsorbent at high humidity and as poor adsorbent at low humid atmosphere. However, moisture adsorption capacities of mordenite such as Na^+-K_111, NH_4^+-K_111, Na^+-Y_11 exceeded the silica gel at the lower moisture pressure than 16 torr. NH_4^+-MOrdenite proved itself to be best adsorbent in the closed system whose moisture pressure diminished as the time eclipsed. This system was most closely simulated to the working conditions of those commercial dryer in the package.

        이온교환한 제올라이트 A 의 연료기체분자 저장특성 : 2 . Cs - A 제올라이트내 수소의 확산 2 . Hydrogen Diffusion in Cs - A Zeolite

        승온 decapsulation과정에서 Cs-A 제올라이트 내부의 수소확산을 연구하였다. 확산계수의 측정에 최소자승법에 의한 실험응답의 fitting을 제시하였다. 수학적 처리로서 확산계수의 측정에 잘 알려진 승온탈착에 대한 식과 유사한 식(14)를 제공하였으나 여기에서 결정된 확산계수로부터 계산된 응답은 실험응답과 상당한 차이를 보였다. Fitting 방법으로 α-cage로의 확산폐수와 β-cage로의 확산계수를 동시에 측정할 수 있었으며 α-cage로의 확산계수는 β-cage로의 확산계수보다 100배 이상 컸다. Hydrogen diffusion in Cs-A zeolite during temperature programmed decapsulation is studied. Fitting of experimental responses by the method of least squares is proposed for estimation of the diffusivity. Although a mathematical treatment provided a simple equation[Eq. (14)], which is analogous to the well known equation for temperature programmed desorption, for estimating the diffusivity, responses calculated with the diffusivity from Eq. (14) deviated significantly from experimental responses. The method of fitting allowed simultaneous estimation of the diffusivities into α-cage and β-cage, and the diffusivity of hydrogen into α-cage were more than one hundred times larger than that into β-cage.
