        논문 : 금속성 응집제와 모노클로라민의 상호작용이 Polyamide계 RO막 성능에 미치는 영향

        The bench-scale chlorine exposure study was performed to investigate the effect of pretreatment by free chlorine and monochloramine (NH2Cl) on the performance of RO membranes made of polyamide (PA). Feed monochloramination at 2㎎/L did not cause significant productivity loss compared to free chlorine. However, metal coagulants reacted with monochloramine, the PA membrane suffered from a gradual loss of membrane integrity by chlorine oxidation, which was characterized as a decrease in salt rejection. Especially, RO membranes exposed to alum coagulants with monochloramine revealed the salt rejection lower than those exposed to iron coagulants. XPS membrane surface analysis demonstrated that the chlorine uptake on the membrane surface increased and carbon peaks were shifted significantly when exposed to alum coagulants with monochloramine.

      • 침 치료가 오십견(五十肩) 환자의 적외선 체열촬영에 미치는 영향

        Objectives : To observe the effect of acupuncture treatment on Digital Infrared Thermographic Imaging(DITI) in frozen shoulder patients. Methods : 17 voluntary patients received acupuncture treatment on LI15, TE14, GB21 and Master Dong's acupuncture points, Shin-gwanand Gyun-joong, twice a week for 4 weeks. The patients were instructed to practice self exercise during their daily lives. Evaluations were made before treatment, after 1 week of treatment, after 2 weeks, 3 weeks and after 4 weeks of treatment. Constant Shoulder Assessment(CSA), Shoulder Pain and Disability Index(SPADI), Range of Motion(ROM) and the patient's satisfaction concerning the treatment was measured by Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). DITI was measured before treatment and after 4weeks of treatment. The obtained data was analyzed. Results : CSA, SPADI, VAS, adduction and extension showed significant(p<0.05) improvement. Abduction and flexion both improved after 4 weeks of treatment, but the improvement was statistically insignificant(p>0.05). DITI showed improvement but the improvement was insignificant(p>0.05). Conclusion : 4 weeks of acupuncture treatment significantly improved CSA, SPADI, VAS, adduction and extension in frozen shoulder patients(p<0.05). The improvement of abduction and flexion after 4 weeks of acupuncture treatment was insignificant(p>0.05). DITI results improved after 4 weeks of acupuncture treatment. But the change of thermal difference was insignificant(p>0.05).

      • 食品害蟲의 生理·生態學的 調査와 防除

        A total of 30 species of instant foods and confections were purchased from the confectioners, groceries, super-markets and department stores, which were located in 9 representative areas of the 6 districts, and examined both macroscopically and microscopically whether they were containing insects or not. Results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. The pest insects found in the materials were Plodia interpunctella, Ephestica cautella, Sitophilus oryzae and Tenebriodes nauritanicus and the main mite was Ehizolyphus echinopus. A dominant species of them was Plodia interpunctella. 2. Free amino acids, protein nitrogen and lipid were identified and analyzed at each stage of the dominant species. Especially, changes in free amino acids, protein nitrogen concentration and lipids through the course of the physiological cycle form a U-shaped curve when graphed against the his tolysis of larval organs and the histogenesis of adult organs. In view of controlling pest, the U-shaped pattern of physiological activity indicates that control will be the most effective at the time of the most physiological weakness manifested at the 2 day pupal stage. 3. The period when the adult insect was active was during 13 hours from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. and it was considered that their activity was closely related with the luminous intensity of the environment. The number of active insects increased rapidly when it passed 5 p.m., it decreased gradually after the number reached the maximum between 8 and 10 p.m., and it decreased rapidly when it passed 11 p.m. The period when the insect was most active was during 3 hours from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. 4. The migration, the mating and the ovipositing behavior or them occured during the period when the adult insect was active. Also, the peak of appearance of the adult of the former fell on the season from the middle of July to the end of July, and that of the latter was from the end of August to the end of September in general. 5. The packing material used in the experiment was polyethylene which divided the artificial packing material and the mechanical packing material. These two materials have different characteristics, the artificial packng material has a stronger defensive ability against the boring of the insects than the mechanical packing material.

      • 갑상선기능 항진증에서 혈청 Thyroglobulin치의 진단적 의의

        The serum levels of thyroglobulin (TG) were measured by RIA method in the patients with untreated hyperthyroidism and those treated with anti-thyroid drug therapy to evaluate the prognostic significance of serum TG in the Dept, of Int. Medicine, CNU Hospital since Feb, 1983. The result were as follows: 1. The mean serum TG level in 31 untreated hyperthyroidism patients was 64.9±35.3 ng/ml and was significantly higher than that of normal controls, 20.41±5.5 ng/ml 2. The mean serum TG level in 17 treated hyperthyroidism patients was 54.4±20.3 ng/ml and there was no significant difference compared with that of untreated patients. 3. Despite of no significant difference, the mean serum TG level is slightly decreased in treated patients and it means that the measurement of serum TG level before and after treatment is worthy to evaluate the thyroid functional status after treatment in hyperthyroidism.

      • 울산 삼산지역의 대기질예측 및 오염저감대책

        This study was performed to delineate the present air pollution level in the Saman region of Ulsan, to investigate the environmental effects, and to find the measures of attaining the clean environmental in the Samsan region. The observed concentrations of Sulfur dioxide are 7.1~43.8 ppb at all sites. These values are lower than those of the current air quality standards, 50 ppb. The date also shows that the observed concentrations of hydrogen fluoride are 2.2~4. 4ppb. The simulated concentrations of hydrogen fluoride in 1994 and 1995 belong to enforced environmental standard will be reduce to 0.3 and 0.13 times each than the those of 1991. From the plants tolerance test, the tolerant trees to air pollution in Ulsan industrial estate are recommanded to attain the more clean air.

        The concentration of free amino acid, total protein, lipid and mineral salts during the metamorphosis of the mantis, Paratenodera sinensis De Saussure were measured using paper chromatographic method, micro-Kjeldahl method, thin layer chromatographic method and ash method, respectively. Healthy specimens were chosen as samples of each developmental stages;the egg stage and the larval stage. Amino acids present in the alcoholic extracts were alanine, asparagine, glycine, histidine, leucine, proline, threonine, tryptophan and valine. The total protein concentration reached to 610.68±36.44mg/g during the egg stage and the larval stage of the value was decreased to 182.37±18.00 mg/g. Total lipid, phospholipid, diacylglycerol, free fatty acid, triacylglycerol and ester cholesterol were identified at each stages. The total lipid value for larva was about two times the value for the egg through the all staes. Diacylglycerol, free fatty acid and triacylglycerol at larval stage the concentration reached a maximum. Hence, changes in concentration of lipid through course of the physiological cycle form a U-shaped curve when graphed against the lipid contents of the egg and the larval stage. The mineral salts present are calcium, lithium, phosphorus, potassium and sodium identified at each stages. The mineral salts concentration of the larval stage reached high level in contrast with the egg stage.

      • 솔잎혹파리 幼蟲의 血淋파 變化

        The concentration of free amino acids, total protein, trehalose, lipid, acid·alkaline phosphatase and glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase and glutamic pyruvic transaminase during the larval stage of the pine leaf gall midge, Thecodiploses japonensis Uchi. et Inouye were measured using Paper chromatographic method, micro-Kjeldahl method, Anthrone method, Thin layer chromatographic method, Bessey-Lowry method and Reitman-Franked method, respectively. Healthy specimens were chosen as samples of each developmental stages : the larve in gall, larva in soil and over wintered larva. Amino acids presentin the alcoholic extracts were alanine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glycine, histidine, methionine, proline, serine, threonine, tryptophan and valine. The total protein concentration reached to 195.925 mg/g during the larva in gall and the larval stage in soil of the value was decreased to 181.419 mg/g. In the over wintered larval stage the concentration reached a maximum that was value to 224.200 mg/g. The hemolymph sugar, trehalose value for over wintered larva was about two times the value for larva in gall. Total lipid, phospholipid, monoacylglycerol, triacylglycerol, sterol, free fatty acid and ester cholesterol were identified at each stages. Triacylglycerol concentration reached high level in contrast with other lipid contents during the larva in gall, larva in soil and over wintered larva. Monoacylglycerol, sterol and free fatty acid expert decal·eased lipid contents during at each stages. The activity of acid phosphatase generally decreased at larva in soil and increased at the over wintered larval stage. And in the throughout all stages there significant differences between both control and treatments group of acid allkaline phosphatase. The activities of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase and glutamic pyruvic transaminase decreased gradually from larva in gall until the larva in soil and increased at over wintered larva stage. Hence, changes in free amino acids, total protein, acid phosphatase, glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase and glutamic pyruvic transaminase through the course of the physiological cycle form a U-shaped curve when graphed against the chemical composition and activity of hemolymph during the larva in gall, larva in soil and over wintered larva.

        The dynamic performances, such as natural frequency, damping and dynamic compliance are playing bigger roles for high speed inspection equipments for the modern semiconductor production systems. In this study, the dynamic characteristics of the prototype of a inspection system was has been evaluated using ANSYS based modal and harmonic analysis. The inspection equipment need to be operated in high acceleration over 1G with short settling time. The computation and experiment shows that the supporting frame structure of the machine should have enough dynamic stiffness to reduce residual vibration caused by movement of the stages.

      • 각종 갑상선질환에서 혈청 유리 T_3의 진단적 의의

        To estimate the diagnostic significance of serum free T_3 in various thyroid diseases, the serum levels of free T_3, T_3, `ree T_4, T_4 and TSH were measured by radioimmunoassay method in 43 cases of euthyroid thyroid diseases, 19 cases of hyperthyroidism, 2 cases of primary hylothdism and 10 cases of normal subjects as controls at the Dept. of Internal Medicine, CNUH, since January to July, 1984. The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of each hormone level were calculated according to the clinical diagnosis of the cases. The results were as follow; 1. The serum levels of thyroid hormones in normal controls were; free T_3 : 6.68±2.1 pmol/ml, T_3: 1.24±0.49 ng ml, free T4: 1.27±0.38 ng/dl, T_4, : 7.80±2.04 ug/dl and TSH :1.87±0.9uU/ml(M±2SD). 2. The diagnostic sensitivity of hyperthyroidism was 100% in serum T_3, free T_4 and T_4 , 84% in _fT_3 but the specificity was 93% in _fT_3, 92% in _fT_4. 3. The diagnose c sensitivity was highest as 86% in _fT_3 and _fT_4 while the specificity was 100% in _fT_4, 80% in _fT_3. With the above results, it can be concluded that measurement of serum _fT_4, and _fT_3 levels is the most specific and sensitive measure in diagnosing the hyperthyroidism and euthyroid thyroid diseases.
