      • In vitro propagation of Coleus forskohlii, an important medicinal plant

        For mass multiplication of an important medicinal plant Coleus forskohlii, a procedure for the high frequency regeneration of Coleus forskohlii has been developed using leaf explants via callus culture. Callus formation occurred in MS medium supplemented with 1-2 mg/L each of NAA and BAP. A large number of shoots were formed on MS + 1 mg/L BAP from 50-60 days old greenish calli. Rooting of healthy shoots occurred on 0.1-0.4 mg/L NAA. The protocol described could be useful in future for genetic manipulation of this plant species.

      • The Study on Medicinal Flora of Several Uninhabited Islands in Jindo-gun, Chonnam province

        The medicinal plants in 22 unhabited islands of Jindo-gun, Chonnam provincde were investigated from March 2000 to October 2002. The medicinal plants in 22 uninhabited islands of Jindo-gun were consisted 366 taxa; 95 families, 269 genus, 309 species, 52 varieties, 3 forma, and 2 subspecies. Important medicinal plants on survey area were Lemmaphyllum microphyllum, Dendropanax morbifera, Ficus erecta, Farfugium japonicum, Machilus thunbergii, Juniperus chinensis var. procumbens, Dendrobium moniliforme, Pyrrhosia tricuspis, Cinnamomum japonicum, Pittosporum tobira, Kadsura japonica, and Daphniphyllum macropodum, This result can be used as basic information data for medicinal research and the conservation of uninhabited islands.

        원문 : 야외운동기구를 이용한 운동프로그램이 노인들의 활동체력, 대사증후군 위험인자 및 염증인자에 미치는 영향

        양상훈, 김종식. 야외운동기구를 이용한 운동프로그램이 노인들의 활동체력, 대사증후군 위험인자 및 염증인자에 미치는 영향. 운동과학, 제23권 제3호, 229-240, 2014. 본 연구는 여성노인 65세 이상 16명을 대상으로 8주간의 야외운동기구를 이용한 운동프로그램 참여가 활동체력, 대사증후군 위험인자 및 염증인자에 미치는 영향을 규명하였다. 활동체력의 경우 악력은 유의한 차이가 없었으나 하지근력과 유연성은 운동 후 유의하게 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 대사증후군 위험인자의 경우 HDL-C는 운동 후 유의하게 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, glucose는 유의하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 허리둘레, 수축기 혈압, 이완기 혈압, TG는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 염증인자의 경우 CRP, TNF-α 모두 운동 후 감소하는 것으로 나타났으나 유의한 차이는 없었다. 결론적으로 야외운동기구 운동프로그램은 하지근력, 유연성 강화와 HDL-C 증가, glucose 감소의 연구결과를 보았을 때 더 다양한 야외운동기구를 이용한 운동프로그램을 개발하고 지속적으로 운동의 효율을 높여간다면 노화를 지연시킬 뿐만 아니라 각종 질병을 방지하고 건강을 유지시키는 효과를 기대할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. Yang, Sang-Hoon, Kim, Jong-Shik. The Effects of Exercise Program Outdoor Exercise Equipment on Activity Fitness, Metabolic Syndrome Risk Factors and Inflammatory Factors in the Elderly. Exercise Science, 23(3): 229-240. 2014. This study is for observing the influence of exercising in outdoor exercise facilities for 8 weeks on activity fitness, risk factors of insulin resistance syndrome and inflammatory factors in 16 females who are aged 65 years or older. The major results on this analysis are as follows: In parameters for activity fitness, there was no significant difference in grasping power but a significant increase in strength of lower limb muscles and flexibility after exercise. For risk factors of insul in resistance syndrome, there was a significant increase in HDL-C after exercise with a significant decrease in gl ucose. There was no significant difference in waist l ine, systol ic bl ood pressure, diastol ic bl ood pressure and TG. For inflammatory factors, there was a decrease in CRP and TNF-α after exercise with no significance. In conclusion, the results showing positive effects on physical fitness of lower limb muscles and physiological markers including HDL-C and glucose indicates that elderly women exercising in outdoor exercise facilities may have benefits of antiaging effect, prevent various diseases and stay healthy if efficiency of exercise using outdoor exercise facilities is continually improved in a variety of training programs.

      • 國民學校 女學生의 初潮에 따른 體格·體力의 比較硏究

        The purpose of this study was to determine the relation between the state of physique and physical fitness according to menarche in elementary school girl students. Subjects (menarche experienced 50 girls & non-menarche experienced 50 girls) were randomly selected for this study and were the 6th grade of the K. elementary girl students in Pusan City. 1. Menarche experienced girls' physique: 1) Menarche experienced girls' height was significantly higher than non-menarche experienced girls at p<.001. 2) Menarche experienced girls' body weight was significantly heavier than non-menarche experienced girls at p<.001. 3) Menarche experienced girls' chest was significantly greater than non-menarche experienced girls at p<.001. 4) Menarche experienced girls' sitting height was significantly higher than non-menarche experienced girls at p<.001. The result of this study was found similar result with other previous studies. Researcher found that menarche experienced girls physique was greater than non-menarche experienced girls in the same age. 2. Menarche experienced girls' physical fitness: 1) Menarche experienced girls' 100m run speed was .61seconds faster than non-menarche experienced girls, but no statistical significant difference was found. 2) Menarche experienced girls' standing broad jumped 4.02cm longer than non-menarche experienced girls, but no statistical significant difference was found. 3) Menarche experienced girls' throwing was significantly 2.14m greater than non-menarche experienced girls at p<.05. 4) Menarche experienced girls' flexed arm hanging was significantly 7.5seconds longer than non-menarche experienced girls at p<.05. 5) Menarche experienced girls' sit-up was significantly 1.84 times more than non-menarche experienced girls, but no statistical significant difference was found. 6) However Menarche experienced girls' long race was 0.98 later than non-menarche experienced girls, but no statistical significant difference was found.

      • H∞제어를 이용한 Anti-lock Brake System의 슬립율 제어 시스템의 설계

        본 논문에서는 Anti-lock Brake System(ABS)에서 명령추종성능과 견실안정성를 모두 만족하는 제어기를 제안하였다. ABC에서는 슬립율-차체속도와 바퀴의 각속도와의 비율을 제어하여 최적의 제동력으로써 자동차의 방향 안정성을 높이고 짧은 시간 안에 자동차를 정지시키도록 한다. ABC의 제어 시스템은 바퀴와 도로면 사이의 접촉특성에 비선형성이 포함되고, 수학적 모델링을 할 때에 모델링 오차에 대하여 크게 영향을 받는다. 본 연구에서는 자동차의 제동특성에 크게 영향을 미치는 바퀴와 도로면 사이의 접촉특성의 변화에 따른 비선형성을 평형점 부근에서 선형화를 실시하고, 공칭모델에 대한 PID제어기 시스템에 모델링 오차에 대하여 견실한 H∞제어기를 설계하므로써 명령추종성능과 견실안정성을 모두 만족하는 제어기를 설계하고자 한다. This paper proposes the method to perform a linearization of Anti-lock Brake System(ABC) vehicle and to design a controller which has the robust-stability and better command-following-performance under modeling-error from uncertain parameter variation. ABC vehicle, by controling slip ratio, which is body velocity to wheel velocity, can get optimum braking force. For the nominal model PID controller is designed which is used in simple and general cases. Owing to parameter variation, the gain of PID controller have to be newly turned. Consequently, by adding H∞controller on the PID controller, achive the robust-stability and better command-following-performance even though modeling-error from uncertain parameter variation exist.

        One of the contributory causes to poor pregnancy rates in assisted reproduction has been the decreased viability of transferred embryos and the transfer of four-cell embryos into and environment that naturally would be receptive only to 5-day-old blastocysts. In this paper, we have reviewed on the role of helper cells(cocultures) to mimic the in vivo, environment to bring about improved embryo quality and an increased number of blastocysts for replacement in IVF patients. The behavior of helper cell is first presented, followed by their use as cocultures for fertilization and cleavage of embryos. The mode of action and specificity of helper cells are also discussed. The currently available results of pregnancies after cocultures are presented together with future aspects of research that are necessary to refine the coculture system, The ultimate aim is to mimic in vivo conditions in vitro, so that at least the pregnancy rates of assisted conception can be parallel to normal fecundity in the human. Therefore, a very attractive future includes the freezing of blastocysts generated from coculture, thawing, and replacing them in natural cycles.

      • 노즐형상비에 따른 디젤분무의 특성

        In this study. diesel spray characteristics has been conducted to investigate the effect on nozzle aspect ratio(L/D). A single hole nozzle which is 0.45mm in diameter and 2.78. 3.89. 5 in the nozzle aspect ratio is used. Injection pressure is 14MPa and ambient pressure are 0.1MPa and 3MPa. By nozzle aspect ratio. the disintegration process of a diesel spray was observed. The double flash method has been employed to visualize the developing process of the diesel spray.

      • 효소를 이용한 가용화 명태단백질농축물의 제조 및 제품의 품질특성

        To obtain the functional fish protein concentrate (FPC), Alaska pollack (Therogra chacogramma) protein concentrate was made by solvent extraction method and then solubilized with four kinds of proteolytic enzymes, e.g. bromelain, Complex enzyme, Hipron-A, and Hipron-N. Hipron-N was most effective for digestion of FPC among three kinds of commercial proteolytic enzymes. The optimum conditions for hydrolysis of FPC were 55℃ of reaction temperature, 3 hr of reaction time and 3% of enzyme concentration in Hipron-N. FPC hydrolysate was concentrated to Brix 25% and then spray dried in the conditions of 190℃ of inlet temperature and 85℃ of outlet temperature. Enzyme-solubilized FPC had an excellent functional properties such as solubility, rehydration capacity, foam viscosity, bulk density and brown color density and its quality was better than those of FPC, soy protein isolate (SPI) and Na-caseinate. There were no remarkable changes in the qualities of enzyme-solubilized FPC for three months storage at 4℃ and 20℃, respectively.

      • 牛肉과 豚肉의 蛋白質 含量 및 IN VITRO PEPSIN 消化率에 미치는 加熱處理의 影響

        To investigate the effect of heat processing on the protein content and IN VITRO pepsin digestibility, the beef and Pork loin was heated at 75℃, 98℃~100℃ and 127℃ respectively, for 20 minutes, 40 minutes and 60 minutes at each heating temperature. (1) After heat processing, the average crude protein content was 30.7% and 24.6% in beef and pork respectively, and showed the value of beef was higher than that of pork. Also heated meat had higher crude protein content than those not heated. (2) The meat heated at 98℃∼100℃ showed the highest protein content. (3) And at each heating temperature, the more heating time had, the more crude protein content of beef increased except that heated at 75℃. As pork was floated for 40 minutes at each bleating temperature, the crude protein content of pork was higher than that of pork heated for 20 minutes at each heating temperature. But the pork heated for 60 minutes tended to have lower protein content. (4) After heat processing, the average pepsin digestibility of beef and pork protein was 91% and 90% respectively. Also heated meat had higher pepsin digestibility than those not healed. (5) The average pepsin digestibility of beef protein heated at 75℃, 98℃∼100℃ and 127℃ was 91%, 91% and 89% respectively, and that of pork heated at 75℃, 98℃~100℃ and 127℃ was 89%, 90% and 91% respectively. (6) At each heating temperature, the more heating time had, the more pepsin digestibility of beef protein increased. But irrespective of heating temperature, the pork heated for 40 minutes had higher pepsin digestibility than that of pork heated for 20 minutes, and the pork heated for 60 minutes tended to show lower digestibility (7) In the pepsin digestibility after heat processing, the digestibility of beef protein healed at 75℃ was higher than that of pork heated at 75℃. But the difference between the digestibility of brief protein and pork protein at other heating temperature was inconstant according to heating time.
