        콩 단백 성분 및 연령이 암컷 흰쥐의 혈장 지질 농도와 인지질 지방산 패턴에 미치는 영향

        혈중 지질농도는 식이단백질 종류보다는 연령의 영향을 많이 받아, young군보다 old군의 총 콜레스테롤, TG, HDL-콜레스테롤, LDL+VLDL-콜레스테롤 및 AI 모두 높았다. 한편 콩 단백질군에서 HDL-콜레스테롤 수준이 증가하고, LDL+VLDL-콜레스테롤와 AI는 감소하여, 심혈관질환에 대한 콩 단백질의 유익한 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 식이단백질에 의해 유의한 영향을 받은 혈장 인지질의 지방산조성중 22:0, 18:1ω9, ∑MUFA 조성은 카제인군에서 콩 단백질군 보다 높았으며, 반대로 ∑SFA 조성은 카제인군에서 낮았다. 연령에 의해 혈장 인지질 지방산 조성에 있어 유의한 차이를 보인 지방산 중 22:0, 18:1ω9, 22:1, 18:3ω3 및 22:4ω6는 young군에서 높은 반면에, 22:6ω3, ∑ω3, 18:2ω6, 20:4ω6, ∑ω6 및 ∑PUFA의 조성비율은 old군에서 높게 나타났다. 이와 같이 식이 단백질의 종류보다 연령의 영향력이 더 많이 나타난 것은 혈중 콜레스테롤 수준이 식이 단백질보다는 연령의 영향을 더 크게 받았기 때문으로 생각된다. 혈장 인지질 지방산의 대사지표 중 Δ7-desaturation index(16:0⇒16:1ω7)와 Δ9-desaturation index(18:0⇒18:1ω9)가 식이 단백질의 영향을 받아 카제인군에 비해 콩 단백질군에서 유의하게 낮았다. Δ7- 및 Δ9-desaturation index만이 식이 단백질의 영향을 받은 것은 식이 단백질보다 desaturase 활성에 더 큰 영향력을 미치는 콜레스테롤이 식이에 첨가되었기 때문이라 생각된다. Δ-4 desaturation index (22:4ω6⇒22:5ω6)는 young군에 비해 old군에서 높았으며, elongation index(20:4 ω6⇒22:4ω6)는 old군에서 낮았다. 대부분의 elongation과 desaturation 단계는 연령에 따라 유의한 차이를 보이지 못하였으나, ω3계 지방산의 전체적인 elongation-desaturation 단계를 나타내는 ∑products-fatty acid(ω3)/α-LNA(ω3) 비율이 old군에서 young군보다 유의하게 높아, 연령에 따른 PUFA 대사의 변화가 관찰되었다. 이상에서와 같이, 콩 단백질의 섭취로 흰쥐 혈장 인지질의 ∑MUFA 조성은 낮고 ∑SFA 조성은 높아 다른 지질 강화성분의 섭취와 유사한 결과를 나타내었다. 혈중 콜레스테롤 수준이 높은 old군에서 체내 막조직의 유동성을 유지하기 위해 PUFA의 합성 특히 ω3계 지방산의 elongation-desaturation이 증가하여 총 PUFA 조성이 young군보다 높았다. 연구결과로 이소플라본을 포함한 콩 단백질의 혈중 지질저하 기전에 대해 체계적인 설명은할 수 없지만, 콩 단백질이 혈장 지방산의 조성을 변화시킴으로써 간접적으로 심혈관계 질환에 대해 유익한 효과를 미침을 알 수 있었다. 한편, 이러한 혈관의 건강과 관련된 콩의 유익한 효과는 이소플라본과 같은 콩의 특정 성분의 단독효과라기보다는 콩 단백질과의 복합효과에 의한 것이라는 주장은 매우 설득력 있다고 생각된다. Effects of soy protein concentrate (SPC) containing isoflavone and casein diets on plasma phospholipid (PLs)-fatty acid patterns were investigated in 7- & 40- wk old female rats. Diets containing 16% SPC (soy/young: SY, soy/old: SO) and casein (casein/young: CY, casein/ old: CO) supplemented with 0.5% cholesterol were fed for 4 wks. Fatty acid compositions of plasma PLs were determined by TLC and GLC. Compared to the dietary protein effects, age effects on serum lipids were more profound. The levels of total cholesterol (Chol.), triglyceride, HDL-Chol., (LDL+VLDL)-Chol. and atherogenic index (AI) were higher in older groups (OC & OS) than younger groups (YC & YS). Soy groups had higher HDL-Chol. level and lower (LDL+VLDL)-Chol. and AI, compared with casein groups. The compositions of C22:0, C18:1ω9 and sum of MUFA in plasma PLs were significantly higher in casein group (CY & CO) than soy group (SY & SO), but those of sum of SFA were higher in soy group. The compositions of C22:0, C18:1ω9, C22:1, C18:3ω3 and C22:4ω6 were higher and those of C22:6ω3, sum ofω3, C18:2ω6 C20:4ω6, sum ofω6 and sum of PUFA were lower in plasma PLs of younger rats. The average P/S and ω3/ω6 ratio in older group was higher. The Δ-7 desaturation index (16:0⇒16:1ω7) and Δ-9 desaturation index (18:0⇒18 : 1ω9) were lower in soy group than casein group, while Δ-6 and Δ-5 desaturation index were not affected by dietary protein. The Δ-4 desaturation index (22:4ω6⇒22:5ω6) were higher and, elongation index (20:4ω6⇒22:4ω6) were lower in older group. The ratio of the products of ω3 fatty acid series/precursor of ω3 fatty acid series (C18:3) was significantly higher in older group, which in- dicated that age affected the plasma PUFA metabolism. On the other hand, older rats had higher serum cholesterol level compared with younger rats. Taken together, these changes in fatty acid composition might cause minimal changes in the membrane fluidity induced by the increase serum cholesterol level.

        Objective: Occupational medicine specialists in the Busan, Ulsan and Kyung-Nam areas established an area-based occupational disease surveillance system and used this system to collected case information for the purpose of preventing occupational diseases Methods: l l hospital participated in this system. The authors selected five main diseases, which were hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), work-related musculoskeletal disorder (WRMSD), occupational asthma, occupational skin disease and occupational and occupational lung cancer and established their case definitions. All cases were reported on the web, and real time analysis was conducted. Results: Between April 2001 and April 2003, 192 cases of HAVS, 118 cases of WRMSD, 33 cases of occupational asthma, 17 cases of occupational skin disease and 17 cases of occupational lung cancer (for a total of 377 cases of these five main diseases) were reported. most of the HAVS cases came from shipbuilding, and 172 of them (92.7%) were associated with grinding. Of the four main types of WRMSD, carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) was the most prevalent with 46 cases and shipbuilding was also the main industry involved (83.9%). The ergonomic risk factors involved mainly associated with the hand. In 19 (57.6%) and 4 (12.1%) cases of occupational asthma, the agents involved. The causative agents of occupational lung cancer included Cr, welding fume, PAH, Ni, etc. 10(58.8%) of the cases were diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma and 5(29.4%) as adenoma. Conclusion: This result showed that an area-based occupational disease surveillance system might provide an effective method of evaluating the prevalence of such diseases, however the Busan, Ulsan and Kyung-Nam provinces are too large to be treated as individual areas. Therefore, the authors suggest that each province should establish its own surveillance system.

        Tuning the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Cold Sprayed Equiatomic CoCrFeMnNi High-Entropy Alloy Coating Layer

        An equiatomic CoCrFeMnNi high entropy alloy (HEA) coating layer was prepared via a cold spray (CS) process. In orderto control the microstructure and nano-indentation properties of the CS HEA, heat treatments were employed. CS HEAcoating layer showed a heterogeneous microstructure where ultra-fine grains were formed at the particle interfaces, whilecoarse grains were formed inside the particles. Furthermore, deformation twins (DTs) were also formed inside the particlesdue to severe plastic deformation (SPD) in each particle generated during the CS deposition. For the 550 °C heat treatment(HT), fine Cr-rich precipitates were additionally formed at the grain boundary and particle boundary. By contrast, recrystallizationoccurred during 850 °C HT, while the size of the Cr-rich precipitate increased. The nano-indentation hardness ofthe CS HEA coating layer was 10.9 GPa, which was ~ 3 times higher than that of the conventional cast HEA. The superiorhardness of the CS HEA might has been enabled due to the combination of the high dislocation density, DTs, and ultra-finegrains. Based on the results above, the strategy to control the microstructure and mechanical properties through HT of theequiatomic CoCrFeMnNi HEA coating layer prepared via the CS process has been discussed.

        Multiplex PCR Detection for 3 Events of Genetically Modified Maize, DAS-59122-7, TC6275, and MIR604

        A multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method was developed to simultaneously detect 3 events of genetically modified (GM) maize. The event-specific primers were used to discriminate the following 3 events of GM maize (DAS-59122-7, TC6275, and MIR604) using multiplex PCR method. The zein gene was used as an endogenous maize reference gene in the multiplex PCR detection. The primer pair Zein-F/R producing a 99 bp amplicon was used to amplify the zein gene. The primer JI-Das-F1/R1 for DAS-59122-7, JI-TC6275-F3/R3 for TC6275, and JI-MIR F1/R1 for MIR604 yielded an amplicon of 130, 162, and 197 bp, respectively. The detection limit of multiplex PCR was 1% for DAS-59122-7, TC6275, and MIR604 for one reaction.

        고감도 Ames test(microsuspension assay)와 임파구 소핵시험법을 이용한 변이원성에 관한 조사 연구

        In order to evaluate the mutagenic effects of extractable indoor air pollutants (organic matters), we measured the mutagenic activities by sensitive microsuspension Ames test using new tester strains (YG 1024 and YG 1029). And additionally to evaluate the mutagenic effects on vital cell, we examined the frequencies of micronucleus appearing in lymphocytes from dye handling workers and controls. This study was conducted from Jan. to May, 1995. The extractable indoor air pollutants were collected by low volume air sampler in a general office room and 3 of dye handling factories. And the environment of general office room divided into 3 different groups according to the type of room heaters. To determine the frequencies of micronucleus appearing in lymphocytes, we sampled peripheral venous blood from 20 of dye handling workers and 20 of controls, and cultured, and then examined the lymphocytes. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The indirect mutagenic activities of extractable organic matters from suspended particulates collected in a general office room were higher than the direct one. 2. The strain YG 1024 was the most sensitive, and the increasing order of test strains that showed higher number of revertant were YG 1024, YG 1029, TA 100, TA 98. 3. In the general office room, the room using kerosene heater showed the highest mutagenecity, and the next was buthan gas heater, and non-heating room in order. 4. The mutagenic effects of suspended particulates in dye handling factories on the strain YG 1024 was 1.2 times higher than YG 1029. 5. The frequencies of micronucleus appearing in lymphocyte of the circulating blood of dye handling workers and the control were 5.65±2.97‰ and 4.65±0.97‰, respectively. And the difference was statistically significant.

        항암화학요법 관련 오심과 구토 완화를 위한 비약물요법에 관한 연구동향

        Purpose: Purposes of this study were to understand the current trends on complementary therapy in relieving chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting and to suggest the future research direction. Method: Subjects were selected on CINAHL, MEDLINE, Korean Academy Data Base from 1980 to 2001 which used nausea, vomiting, chemotherapy and complementary therapy as key words in experimental studies. Eight korean articles and twenty-one international articles were analyzed in terms of general characteristics, research methods, and types of complementary therapy. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistical methods. Result: Since 2000, researchers have more actively used complementary therapy. In subject characteristics, mean age was 35.5 years old, 45% of the researchers were performed with high level of incidence of chemotherapy induced vomiting, 14% of them set limit of consecutive cycle during research, and 65% of them did not comment the selecting criteria of sample. About 60% of them were designed post-test only control group: 35% used INV by Rhodes, 31% used Likert scale, and 24% used VAS for dependent variable. Muscle relaxation therapy was mostly applied for relief of nausea and vomiting. Conclusion: Further studies will be needed to control extrinsic variables affecting nausea and vomiting in research design and to accumulate evidence with studies applying various complementary therapies.

        Pneumopericardium, as a form of barotrauma, refers to the presence of air within the pericardial sac. The causes of pneumopericardium are various, Clinically, pneumopericardium is typically present with dyspnea and precordial chest pain. On physical examination, heart sounds are usually distant, and precordial tympany may be elicited. The diagnosis can be made by clinical and radiographic findings. Management of pneumopericardium depends on many factors, such as the age of the patient, the suspected causes, and the extent of clinically observed respiratory compromise. The case shown here, a patient who developed pneumopericardium, involved an associated underlying pulmonary parenchymal process as the cause of pneumopericardium.

        Dummy-Bar Head is used for continuous casting equipment. It is heated up at high temperature and cooled down repeatedly in using. Then the thermal extension by thermal stress and high temperature oxidation occur to it. This easily results in heating damage because Head, contact with melting metal, appears in micro-crack and tension force. In other words, it is material that gives the greatest influence in endurance life. The method of study is to compare and evaluate present material and improved material by the new alloy design. In conclusion, the results are as follows : 1) I think that the following range is suitable to chemical component. ◁표 삽입▷(원문을 참조하세요) 2) Micro-crack occurs in repeated heating and cooling owing to decarburization and thermal extension. Adding carbide stability elements-Cr, Mn, and V-shows martensite and less micro-crack. 3) Dummy-Bar Head is a large cast steel, An effective heat treatment condition is to heat step by step and to cool by force at 880℃. After that, It is effective to cool at 600∼680℃. 4) Improved product maintains the even hardness value. And impact value is over three times higher than present product for repeated heating and cooling. 5) The transition range over the fracture toughness value has smaller in improved product than present product for repeated heating and cooling. Through the fracture toughness evaluation, the characteristics of change is evaluated in materials. And we can make the predictable criteria of life with Refrica method. According to the analysis and investigation of the real condition is use, the improved product is accomplished in optimal alloying design and product processing, and satifies the required condition. I think that it is widely used as proper materials to a higher temperature concerning the economy.

      • 응급구조를 위한 소방방재청의 정책에 관한 연구 : 119 구급대원을 중심으로

        Purpose : Emergency rescue in this paper means emergency medicine and technique supplied by emergency medical technicians (EMTs) before their arriving to the hospital with the patients. The purpose of this paper is to draw policy alternatives on emergency rescue for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), which was established in June 2004, for the ultimate goal of reducing emergency in Korea after comparing U.S. governments's strategy and NEMA's strategy. Methods : This study uses the post-test comparison group design as its major research tool for the purpose. Two significant tests are applied to both the controlled group of U.S. governments and the experimental group of NEMA, such as ① the governmental institutions for emergency rescue and their characteristics and ② the psychological approach to emergency rescue. Results : Speaking of the U.S. governments, states government play an important role in managing local emergency institutions, while many licenses and educational programs are available for EMTs in each state. Also, the psychological approach to emergency rescue is very much appreciated by not only emergency victim but also EMTs. On the other hand, regarding the NEMA, the Rescue Division comprehensively manages emergency rescue, but its policy is not so substantial. In addition, the psychological approach is just a beginning level. Conclusion : The focus of this paper has been given to two kinds of policy alternative for the NEMA. First, after improving related licenses and educational programs for EMTs and producing a number of them, the NEMA should let them take care of the patients on the spot in particular without doctors' order. Second, the NEMA should try to provide much more intensified psychological treatment for EMTs as well as general victims of emergency.

        컴퓨터 게임에 대한 학부모·교사·학생간의 인식의 차이에 관한 연구 : 부산광역시 중학교 남학생을 중심으로

        본 연구의 목적은 컴퓨터 게임에 대한 청소년과 그들의 교사, 학부모의 인식을 조사하여 각 집단별 인식 간에 차이가 있는지, 있다면 어떤 영역에서 가장 큰 차이를 보이는 지를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 남자 중학생 297명, 이들의 교사 124명, 학부모 278명을 표집하여 컴퓨터 게임시의 자기 통제력에 대한 인식, 컴퓨터 게임이 학습활동, 교우관계, 부모님과의 관계, 자아존중감, 건강에 미치는 영향에 대한 각 집단별 인식의 차이를 분석하였다. 연구결과를 보면, 중학생들은 대체적으로 컴퓨터게임에 대해 긍정적으로 인식하고 있었다. 컴퓨터 게임은 스트레스 해소를 위해 가장 필요하고, 성적에는 별로 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 인식하고 있었지만 교우관계에는 부정적 영향을 주는 것으로 보고 있었다. 교사들은 대체적으로 컴퓨터 게임이 중학생들에게 부정적으로 작용한다고 보고 있었다. 특히 게임에 대한 자제력 부족으로 성적에 부정적인 영향을 줄 것이고 이로 인해 학부모들과 갈등이 초래될 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 부모들은 대체적으로 교사보다는 긍정적으로, 그러나 학생보다는 다소 부정적으로 컴퓨터게임에 대해 인식하고 있었다. 교사들은 컴퓨터게임이 학생과 학부모의 관계형성에 부정적일 것으로 보고 있었으나 실제 학생과 학부모들은 그렇지 않은 것으로 나타났다 Generally, the middle school students play the computer games in their spare times or for pleasure. But, their parents and teachers emphasize on the negative effect of the computer games and restrict the students to play the games. This difference comes from different standpoints on the computer games among parents, teachers, and students. In this context, this study aims at investigating the different views of the computer games among parents, teachers, and students. Regarding a view of the computer games, this thesis puts it as being influenced by the conditions of the self-control on playing the computer games, the students' associates, the relations between the students and their parents, the self-respect, and the health. According to the results, the middle school students play the computer games in forty three percent of their leisure times for pleasure and getting rid of stress. In addition, they can not find an alternative but the computer games in their spare times. As to the difference of the views on the computer games, the middle school students and the parents are positive but the teachers are not. The students are the most positive of the computer games. In particular, they take the affirmative to the self-control on playing the computer games and the effect on their health, but regard the computer games as keeping bad company. The teachers have the most negative assertion toward the computer games. Mostly, except the students' associates and self-respect, the teachers do not agree to the computer games to bring positive effect on the students. Comparatively, the parents are positive of the computer games but less than the students are. They believe that the computer games have the positive effect on the self-control on playing the computer games and the students' health. Nevertheless, they make an negative assertion in relations to the learning and the students' associates. Therefore, this study is able to form a conclusion that it might be needed for the parents and teachers who have the negative attitude toward the computer games to put themselves in the position of the students to find the positive effects of the computer games and suggest appropriate guidelines for the students as maximizing positive effects of the computer games.
