        By the reason of increased demand of high productivity and quality, the manufacturer have an effort in many directions of a machine tool industries. Among there, we proposed method of decreasing displacement in MC(machining center). In other words, Quality related with vibration of a tool cutting products. For decreasing it, improved by optimizing a shape of the column-part and acceleration curves of motors In this paper we could find design factors has much influence on decreasing the displacement using the DOE(Design of Experiments) and optimized the level of the factors using ADAMS^(R) and MINITAB^(R). And we suggest optimized a acceleration curve using Matlab^(R).

      • 골다공증 환자에서 Alendronate (Marvil)의 1년간 치료효과

        연구배경: Alendronate는 골흡수 억제작용을 가진 비스포스포네이트 제재 중 하나로 골다공증의 치료와 예방에 사용되고 있으며 골밀도를 증가시키고 골다공증으로 인한 골절의 빈도를 감소시킨다고 보고되고 있다. 방법: 본 연구는 alendronate(Marvil??)가 골다공증의 치료에 미치는 효과를 검증하기 위하여 138명의 골다공증 진단을 받은 환자를 대상으로 시작하였고 1년 후 50명에서 골대사지표와 골밀도를 추적관찰하였다. 결과: Alendronate를 1년간 투여하였을 때 혈청 ALP는 38.3% 감소하였고 요중 DPD는 40.5% 감소하였다. Alendronate를 1년간 투여하였을 때 L2-4의 평균 골밀도는 6.7% 증가하였고 대퇴골의 평균 골밀도는 20.% 증가하였다. 4명(8%)에서 1년 이내에 새로운 골절이 발생하였고 이 중 3명은 척추골절, 1명은 대퇴골절이었다. 부작용으로 투약을 중단한 환자는 8명(5.8%)이었고 이 중 7명(5.1%)이 소화기증상을 호소하였다. 결론: 이상의 결과로 골다공증 환자에서 alendronate(Marvil??)의 1년간 투여가 골밀도를 증가시킴을 알 수 있었다. Background: To evaluate the effects of alendronate in preventing bone loss at the spine and hip in Korean cases of primary osteoporosis, we treated 138 patients with 10㎎ of alendronate daily. Of the 138 patients treated, 50 were treated for one complete year, and at their final visit, measurements were taken to assess the completed outcome of reatment, and the results from this small group were compared with those of the rest. The way this has been written causes ambiguity concerning exactly who was being studied. Check that my rewrite of this section conveys correctly the group that was studied, and how. Methods: The serum levels of calcium(Ca) and phosphorous(P), total alkaline phosphatase(ALP), the urine calcium creatinine ratio(Uca/cr) and urine deoxypyridinoline(DPD) were measured before, during, and after the 1 year treatment period. The bone mineral densities(BMDs) at the spine and hip were also measured before and after the treatment period. New clinical fractures and side effects, were evaluated during the treatment period. Results: The total serum ALP and urine DPD were decreased significantly, after the treatment period, by 38.3 and 40.5% respectively. The bone mineral density at the spine and hip were significantly increase after 1 year, by 6.7 and 2.0%, respectively. Of the 50 subjects who had completed a full year of treatment, only 4(8%) had developed new clinical fractures. Of the 138 patients who had been treated, 8(5.7%) discontinued the medication due to side effects. Of these, 7 had gastrointestinal symptoms, and 1 had skin eruption. Conclusion: Alendronate significantly decreased the total serum ALP and urine DPD and significantly increase spine and hip bone mineral density. Alendronate 10㎎ was effective in preventing bone loss in Korean cases of primary osteoporosis (J Kor Soc Endocrinol 18:56∼62, 2003)

      • Sulfadimethoxine 투여에 의해 유발된 갑상선 증식성 병변에 나타난 피막 섬유화의 병리학적 특성

        Sulfadimethoxine (SM) is one of the anti-thyroid (goitrogenic) agents and has a thyroid tumor promoting effects. In this study, we analyzed the pathology of SM induced thyroid proliferative lesions to see if these lesions showed any distinctive features. Five-week-old male F344 rats were given a single subcutaneous injection of N-bis(2-hydroxypropyl)nitrosamine (DHPN: 2800㎎/㎏, body weight). Starting one week thereafter, SM (1000 ppm in drinking water) was administered for 12 weeks. All animals were autopsied and histopathological observation of the thyroids was perfomed. Thyroid follicular proliferative lesions were induced in all rats treated with SM. In addition, the formation of thick perithyroidal fibrous capsule and pleomorphic follicles within the capsule were observed. These pleomorphic follicles showed invasive figure in some area, especially around follicular adenomas and adenocarcinomas. This confuses adenoma with adenocarcinoma. However, pleomorphic follicles were also observed in the area without adenomas and adenocarcinomas. Therefore, we suggest that it should be careful to diagnose adenoma and adenocarcinoma in the presence of the invasive lesions in surrounding fibrous tissue, especially SM induced thyroid lesion.

        Synthesis and Reactivity of a Mononuclear Manganese(II) Complex Having Pseudo-Seven Coordination Environment

        Utilizing a planar five coordinating N3S2 ligand, 2,6-bis(2-methylthiophenyliminomethyl)pyridine, a pseudo 7-coordinated manganese(II) complex with two labile triflate anions in the axial positions was synthesized. The reaction of the manganese(II) complex with an oxidant, iodosylbenzene, produced a metastable high-valent manganese(IV)-oxo species at 0 ${^{\circ}C}$. The high-valent Mn(IV)-oxo intermediate was characterized with a UV-vis spectrophotometer and an electrospray ionization mass spectroscopy. Reactivity studies of the Mn(IV)=O species revealed that the intermediate is capable of oxygenating $PPh_3$ and N-dealkylating N,N-dimethyl-toludine.

        Removal of Indoor Tobacco Smoke under Light and Dark Conditions as Affected by Foliage Plants

        실내식물[스파티필름(Spathiphyllum spp.), 인도고무나무(Ficus elastica), 싱고니움(Syngonium podophyllum)]이 담배연기(ETS)내 미세분진의 제거능에 미치는 영향과 그에 따른 식물의 생리적 반응을 조사하였다. 밀폐 챔버 내 미세분진 농도가 대략 182 ㎍ㆍm⁻³이 되도록 10분 동안 안정화시킨 후 PM10과 1.0, 0.5 ㎛의 감소량을 경시적으로 조사하였다. 빈 챔버내에 주입된 미세분진도 시간이 지남에 따라 흡착과 침강에 의해서 자연적 감소가 발생되었으며, 식물 도입시는 광ㆍ암상태 모두에서 감소율이 훨씬 빨라졌다. 미세분진의 제거율은 광상태에서 식물종에 따라 유의성이 있는 차이가 나타났지만, 엽면적과는 상관관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 단위 엽면적으로 비교할 때 3종 중 스파티필름의 제거율이 광ㆍ암상태 모두에서 가장 높았으며, 이 경우 암상태보다는 광상태에서 높았다. 또한 암상태에는 식물 종간 미세분진 제거율 및 호흡율에 별다른 차이가 없었다. 광상태의 미세분진 제거율은 광합성이 높은 종에서 높아, 광합성이 미세분진의 흡수와 같은 능동적 제거에 관여하는 것으로 판단된다. The efficacy of three species of indoor plants (Spathiphyllum spp., Ficus elastica and Syngonium podophyllum) for the removal of environment tobacco smoke (ETS) particulate matter (PM) in the light and dark and changes in physiological responses (photosynthesis, transpiration, respiration) of the plants to ETS was assessed. Cigarette smoke was generated in sealed chambers to give an initial concentration of ~182 ㎍ㆍm⁻³ and after normalization (10 min) the concentrations of various size categories (PM₁₀, PM1.0, and PM0.5) were determined. ETS PM diminished with time due to adsorption and sedimentation. However, the decrease was accelerated by the presence of indoor plants in both the light and dark. Removal efficiency varied among species and was not correlated with leaf area. Spathiphyllum spp. had the highest removal efficacy on a leaf area basis among the species tested in both light and dark conditions, and removal was more efficient in the light than in the dark. In the dark there was little difference in removal efficiency among species or in respiratory rate. The removal efficiency in the light was higher in species with higher photosynthetic rates, suggesting that photosynthesis may be involved in the accelerated removal.

        Purpose: Little data is currently available on the use of the impulse oscillometry system (IOS) parameter in analyzing the lung func-tion of young children with cough-variant asthma (CVA) and classic asthma. The aims of this study were to evaluate the bronchial responsiveness between patients with CVA and those with classic asthma using dose-response slope and various cutoff values. Methods: A methacholine challenge test and a pulmonary function test were performed in 43 children with classic asthma and 26 children with CVA using IOS, and the respiratory resistance (Rrs) and reactance (Xrs) were obtained. The bronchial responsiveness were assessed by provocative concentration causing an 80% fall from baseline in reactance at 5 Hz (PC80_Xrs5) and a 40% increase in resistance at 5 Hz (PC40_Rrs5) and calculating from the degree of dose-response slope (DRS) for airway resistance and reactance. Results: There was no significant difference in base lung function between the two groups. However, the mean DRS_Xrs5 and the number who showed more than an 80% fall in reactance were significantly higher in classic asthma group than those in CVA group (P=0.040 and P=0.040, respectively).Conclusion: The use of DRS in oscillatory reactance at 5 Hz is useful for the differential diagnosis of classic asthma and CVA based on bronchial hyperresponsiveness.         According to the legalization of balcony expansions in apartment houses since January 2006, most of the apartment houses now are built with expanded balcony space. The existing 'balcony' space was physically a buffer between the outside environment and the inside environment. In addition, it was a space that functioned to minimize the indoor environmental changes in relation to external weather changes. However, as apartment houses with extended balconies have become more common recently, the possibility of condensation increased due to the weakening of the insulation capacity as the space that can carry out these environmental buffer roles have disappeared. Also, the indoor thermal environment has been weakened. Thus, this paper seeks to resolve problems related to the expansion of balconies by presenting a new method that improves the insulation and condensation capacity in the window that an apartment housing with an extended balcony should have and to prove prevention of condensation by computer program.
