      • 호박씨 기름으로부터 Sterol 성분들의 분석에 관한 연구

        It is found plant oils except Beta-sitosterol have almost the same Carbon contents, approximately 77.50%, comparing carbon contents of various oils by elemental analyzers, which means it is not possible to classify mixed oils using only elemental analysis. In addition, sulphur is not detected. It is proved that various sterol compositions exist in pumpkin seed oil in result of High Performance Liquid Chromatography(HPLC), also showing same sterol contents between Italian and Chinese pumpkin seed oils. However, it is not detectable whether other kinds of adulteration oils are mixed in pumpkin seed oil. Recently, pumpkin seed oil extract is also applied in therapy of disorders of the prostate gland and the urinary bladder. The therapeutic use and safety of a pumpkin seed oil extract were investigated in a clinical study with 2245 patients suffering from Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. Evaluation of a the study was accomplished according to the International-Prostate-Symptom-Score(I-PSS), which decreased by 41.4%, while live quality improved by 46.1% during the treatment.

        소각재 용융슬래그를 이용한 제올라이트 Na-A의 합성

        소각재 용융슬래그를 출발물질로 하여 알카리 조건하에서 활성화시킴으로써 Na-A형 제올라이트를 합성하였다. 합성실험은 스텐레스 철재로 제작된 반응용기를 사용하였다. 출발물질은 슬래그 외에 수정인공합성 공장에서 배출되는 '규산질 수용액'과 NaA1O₂수용액을 사용하였는데, 전자의 화학조성은 SiO₂5.7 wt% Na₂O 3.2 wt%이고, 후자는 몰비가 Na₂O/A1₂O₃= 1.2와 H₂O/Na₂O=9의 조건으로 알루미늄 드로스와 NaOH 수용액을 반응시켜 제조하였다. 위에서 언급된 슬래그, '규산질 수용액' 그리고 NaAlO₂ 수용액을 혼합시킨 혼성물을 약 80℃에서 7~8시간 반응시키면 Na-A형 제올라이트가 단일상으로 합성되었다. 출발물질의 이상적인 혼합비율은 Na₂O : Al₂O₃: SiO₂의 물비가 1.3~l.4 : 0.8~0.9 : 2이었으며 반응용액과 슬래그의 비율은 1 : 7~10 (g/㏄)이었다. 합성된 제올라이트의 형태는 균일한 입방형이었으며 입도는 약 1 ㎛이었다. 한편, Ca^(²+)이온에 대한 이온교환 용량(CEC)은 180~210 meq/100 g이었으므로 통용되는 세제용 제올라이트와 비교하면 약 80% 수준이었으므로 폐수처리나 오염된 중금속처리와 같은 환경처리용으로 사용될 수 있을 것이다. Na-A zeolite were synthesized from melting slag of the incinerated ash by the alkaline activation processes. The experiments were performed in stainless steel vessels, with continuous stirring during the reaction periods. The silica-rich solution, a starting material, which was the waste of crystal growth factory, contains 5.7 wt% SiO₂ and 3.2 wt% Na₂O And NaAlO₂was made by the reaction of aluminium dross and NaOH solution and its molar ratios were Na₂O/ Al₂O₃ = 1.2 and H₂O/Na₂O=9. During the residence time of 7~ 8 h at 80℃, the mixing of the silica-rich solution, NaAlO₂and melting slag yields the production of homogeneous Na-A zeolite. The optimal reactant composition in molar ratio of Na_₂O : Al₂O₃: SiO₂was 1.3~l.4 : 0.8~0.9 : 2 and mixing ratio of solution and slag was 1/7~10 (g/㏄). Synthesized Na-A zeolite has cubic form uniformly and its size ranges about 1㎛. Ca^(²+) ion exchange capacity of the Na-A was about 180~210 meq/100 g, corresponding approximately 80% to the commercial detergent builder.

        구강내 치료시 연하나 흡입된 이물질의 처치에 관한 치험례

        The practice of oral surgery or other dentistry possesses the danger of causing the loss of foreign bodies used within the oral cavity. If such foreign bodies would be lost, they could enter the viscera through the esophagus or tracheobroncheal tree. Ingestion is four times as frequent as aspiration and 80% to 90% of ingested foreign bodies will pass through the body spontaneously. Once the aspiration or ingestion of foreign bodies is happened, a dental procedure should be discontinued immediately. If symptoms of respiratory distress, including coughing, wheezing, or stridor, are present, a patent airway should be maintained, oxygen administered, and ventilation supported if necessary. The PA chest radiograph will identify the objects in the lung, esophagus, or stomach. Ingested gastrointestinal foreign bodies may be managed by observation, endoscopy, and or surgical intervention and aspirated tracheobroncheal foreign bodies may be managed by bronchoscopy, and or surgical intervention. This case report describes the management of ingested or aspirated foreign bodies happened to the three patients during intraoral treatment. we recommend that the preventive method of ingestion or aspiration of the dental foreign bodies should be performed prior to intraoraltreatment and the immedieate measures should be carried out after ingestion or asipiration of it.

      • 휘발성 미량유기오염물질의 광분해에 관한 연구

        This study was carried out photolysis of Trace Volitile Organic Pollutants(BTEX) in the water. The experiment results were summarized as follows : 1. Benzene of removal efficiency were revealed 90% on illumination time of 20minute for bezene concentration range 0.01ppm-0.06ppm by 450W medium pressure mecury lamp of photon energy photolysis reaction, and were revealed 93% phomoxidaton on illumination time 30minute in 0.lppm of reactant benzene. Toluene of removal efficiency were revealed each 97.7%, 98.3%. 97.7%, 87.396 on illumination time of 20minute for toluene each of concentration 0.0lppm, 0.03ppm, 0.06ppm. 0.1ppm by 450W low pressure mecury lamp of photon energy photolysis reaction, and reactant toluene was disappeared on illumination time 30minute. 2. Ethylbenzene of removal efficiency get the better photolysis on the treatment contrast ethylbenzene with benzene and photolysis removal efficiency was above 90% in ethylbenzene concentration range 0.0lppm-0.lppm on illumination time l0minute. 3. Photolysis removal efficiency of m, p-Xylene were researched better result 93% on the about l0minute of illumination time m, p-Xylene concentration range 0.01ppm-0.06ppm, removal efficiency was 97% in higher concentration of 0.2ppm and illumination time 20minute. 4. Photolysis removal efficiency of o-Xylene were researched better result 95% on the about l0minute of illumination time m, p-Xylene concentration range 0.0lppm-0.lppm, and reactant o-Xylene was disappeared on illumination time about 20minute by 450W m d u m pressure mecury lamp.

        딕카이트로부터 스멕타이트의 수열합성

        딕카이트[Al₂Si₂O_(5).(OH)₄]를 출발물질로 사용하여 이팔면체형 스멕타이트를 수열합성하였다. 시료를 활성화시키기 위해 Na₂O 성분을 첨가하고 800℃에서 4시간 열처리하였다. 합성실험을 Na-0.7 바이델라이트의 화학반응식에 의한 화학양론적 조성에 따라 SiO₂성분을 첨가하였으며 300℃, 70 ㎏f/㎠ 이하의 조건에서 온도, 압력, 시간 등을 변화시키면서 실험을 수행하였다. 합성실험을 위해 약 1리터 용량의 밀폐형 강철재 압력용기를 사용하였다. 스멕타이트를 합성할 수 있는 최적 조건은 반응온도 290℃, 반응시간 48시간, pH 10 및 60 ㎏f/㎠ 의 압력조건인 것으로 확인되었다. 온도, 압력조건 외에 원료물질의 활성화, 반응시간, 반응용액의 초기 pH 등은 결정도에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인으로 작용하였다. 합성결과물에 대한 X-선 회절분석, 에틸렌글리콜 처리, 'Greene-Kelly' 측정법 등의 실험결과, 합성된 스멕타이트는 Na-바이델라이트임이 확인되었다. A hydrothermal process was used to synthesize dioctahedral smectite from dickite [Al₂Si₂O_(5).(OH)₄]. Dickite was previously activated by heating at 800℃ for 4 hours with Na₂CO₃. After the heat-treatment, Sift was added for stoichiometrv. The autoclaving was carried out in closed stainless steel vessel (about 1 liter) at the condition of various temperature, pressure, time etc. High quality smectite could be obtaind by heating at 290℃ under the pressure of 60 ㎏f/㎠ for 48 hours. This experiment reveals that pH of the solution was an important factor and should be maintained at 10 to 11 for the formation of dioctahedral smectite. Be synthesized smectite was identified as Na-beidellite by the treatment of ethylene glycol and Greene-Kelly test.

        활석을 이용한 사포나이트의 수열합성

        삼팔면체형의 스멕타이트계 사포나이트(saponite)를 천연 광물질인 활석을 이용하여 수열법에 의해 합성하였다. 출발물질은 활석에 Na₂CO₃를 첨가하여 공기중에서 800℃로 가열한 후, 화학양론적 조성에 맞게 Al(No₃)₃·9H₂O 및 Mg(No₃)₂·6H₂O 금속염 수용액을 첨가하였고, pH는 7∼12 범위 내로 NH₄OH 수용액에 의해 조절하여 제조하였다. 수열반응 조건은 약 1리터의 수열반응 용기에서 230 ℃, 압력은 25∼75 kgf/㎠의 범위 내에서 10∼60시간이었다. 실험결과, 반응온도 및 회전속도를 230℃와 180 rpm으로 고정시킨 수열조건 하에서 반응시간, 반응압력, pH 조건을 각각 40시간, 25 kgf/㎠, 약 10으로 하였을 때, 그리고, 화학조성을 화학양론적 조성에 필요한 Na₂O의 양보다 200% 과량 추가하였을 때, 양호한 사포나이트가 합성되었다. 또한 압력을 75 kgf/㎠까지 증가시켜도 결정도에 미치는 영향은 미미하였으며, 반응시간이 길수록 더 좋은 결정도를 나타냈다. Saponite was synthesized from talc by hydrothermal method. The starting material was prepared by adding Al(N0₃)₃·9H₂0 and Mg(N₃)₂·6H₂O solution to the talc powder, which was previously activated in air at 800℃ together with Na₂C0₃. The alkalinity of the solution was controlled by NH₄0H solution. The autoclaving was carried out in the closed stainless steel vessel (about 1 liter) for 40 hours under the pressure of 25 ㎏f/㎠ at 230℃. The characterization of the reaction product shows that saponite was crystallized successfully. After the experimental results, pressure was not sensitive parameter in the range of 25-75 ㎏f/㎠, but longer reaction time results in better crystallinity.

        여성들의 화장실태와 화장지식 및 화장태도에 관한 연구

        This study was conducted to provide the basic data necessary to develop the academic make-up program by analysing women' s make-up state, knowledge degree and attitude toward their make-up, and elements having an effect on their make-up attitude, using questionnaires answered by women who visited the 22 sampled beauty shops in Daegu from March 15 to April 4, 2001. The analysed result of this study is summarized as follows. 1. Based on the general features of sampled subjects, it was shown that the age of 21∼30 years old accounted for 45.7% and 31∼40 years old for 24.5%, and graduation from junior college or higher educational background for 54.8% and high school or higher for 41.8%. Their occupational fact showed that nonoccupation including full-time housekeepers accounted for 25.7% and experts for 25.2%. The result of marriage status indicated that the single accounted for 55% and the married for 41.1%. Their body status showed that the underweight accounted for 30.5% and overweight or fatness for 10.7%. Their answers about health status indicated that poor health accounted for 30.0% and good health for 14.8%. Their skin health status was that poor skin type accounted for 33.4% and dry skin type for 30.7%. Their average knowledge about make-up was 65.2 marks, and 54.1% of all the subjects had less knowledge than the average marks. 2. Their reasons for make-up indicated that 'to be beautiful' accounted for 29.8% and 'to have good manners as women' for 26.1%. With respect to their age, it was shown that the young women below 30 years old tended to make up 'to be beautiful(34.3 - 35.0%) while women above 41 years old did to have good manners as women(49.3%). Then, it was also shown that the respondents with high education level(p<0.001)and occupation including students(p<0.01), and the single(p<0.001) tended to make up 'to be beautiful' while the women with low education level(p<0.01) and with no occupation(p<0.01), and the married women(p<0.001) did 'to have good manners as women' to protect skin' or 'to cover weakness' . 3, The technical level of make-up they answered was that Not bad' accounted for 49.0% and 'Bad' for 33.0%. The respondents with the age below 20 years old(p<0.05), education level lower than a middle school(p<0.05), overweight and fatness(p<0.05), poor skin status(p<0.01) and less knowledge about make-up(p<0.001) showed bo not make up well' 4. The subjects answered about the importance of make-up that 'Yes' accounted for 48.9% which was higher than 10.9% of No The more the age and knowledge and with occupation, the higher the importance (p<0.01). 5. Their satisfaction level with make-up indicated that unsatisfaction(25.5%) was higher than satisfaction(21.8%). The worse the health state and skin health status, the higher the unsatisfaction(p<0.001) 6. Their frequency of shaded make-up indicated that 'Everyday accounted for 38.2% and 'Nearly not for 27.9%. It was also shown that the more the age(p<0.05) and with occupation(p<0.05) and knowledge about the make-up(p<0.05), the higher their tendency to make up everyday while the lower the age(p<0.05), the lower their tendency of make-up, and the students(p<0.05) nearly did not make up. 7. Whether or not their cosmetic has been selected after the consideration of skin type showed that 73% of the subjects responded 'Yes' which was higher for the persons with the age of 21∼30 years old(p<0.05), high education level(p<0.05) and more knowledge about the make-up(p<0.05). 8. Concerning the question about whether or not they have participated in any make-up education program, it was shown that 59.3% had no any experience in participation which was higher for the persons with no job(p<0.001), in general employment state(p<0.001), and with less knowledge about make-up(p<0.01). 9. The subjects who answered their spending ₩20,000∼40,000 on cosmetics every month accounted for 45.9% which was highest. It was shown, then, that the women with more age(p<0.001), with job(p<0.001) and with dry skin type(p<0.01) tended to spend more money. 10. Based on the question concerning their way to get information about cosmetics, it was shown that 'from professional cosmetic magazines' accounted for 32.7% and 'from TV or from newspapers' for 27.3%, and that the women with the age below 30 years old(p<40.8%) and in unmarried status(p<41.8%) obtained mainly the information 'from professional magazines' . The women with the age of 30 years old(31.5%) preferred 'from TV or from newspapers while the women with more than 41 years old(42.3%) and in married status(32.6%) did 'from beauty shops or from cosmetic saleswomen' (p<0.001). 11. Their degree of knowledge about make-up showed that the higher their education level, the higher their degree of knowledge, and that the degree was lower for the women with education level below graduation from a middle school(p<0.01) and overweight and fatness(p<0.01). 12. Their attitude toward make-up indicated that the women with professional job(p<0.01) and more knowledge about make-up(p<0.001) were positive. 13. In order to analyse elements influencing an attitude toward make-up, a multiple regression analysis was done by considering their attitude as a dependent variable, and their general features and make-up state as an independent variable. As a result, it was shown that the higher the degree of importance they think about make-up(p<0.001), the longer the time they take for make-up(p<0.001), the more their knowledge about make-up(p<0.01), the more their age(p<0.05) and the more their experience in participation in make-up education programs(p<0.05), the higher the degree they were positive toward make-up. The make-up is an essential action for women to express their aesthetic sense, and has an important effect on their making a healthy living socially and mentally, as well as on their skin health. Even though many women have understood the importance of make-up and have made up everyday, it appeared that their knowledge about make-up and make-up technique were insufficient, which mean needs for a systematically organized make-up education. To do that, it is required to first develop a synthetic program designed for the systematic make-up education.

        인삼(Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer) 신품종 고풍의 육성경과 및 생육특성

        To develop a new ginseng variety with good quality and high yielding, a lot of individual ginseng plant were selected in the farmers' fields in 1968. Among them, a promising line, 680-83-4, has been developed through comparative cultivation of several lines selected with pure line separation from local races in KT&G Central Research Institute, preliminary and advanced yield trials were performed for 8 years. 680-83-4 was designated as KG103, which was then registered as a new variety “Gopoong” with the regional yield and adaptation trials for 10 years (1981-1990) on December<br/> 27, 2000 in Korea. Gopoong has different phenotype of a dark violet stem and dark red fruit and inverted triangle shape of berries cluster as compared with other varieties. Taproot of Gopoong was longer than local race Jakyungjong, and root yield was 4.5% higher than local race Jakyungjong. In red ginseng quality, the rates of Chun-Jeesam grade(Chun and Jee means 1st and 2nd grade, respectively) were 16.6% and 9.4% for Gopoong and Jakyungjong, respectively. In these results, it was that Gopoong was superior ginseng line with good quality for manufacture of red ginseng.
