1,4-나프토퀴논 유도체의 항균 및 항진균 작용

In order to evaluate the antimicrobial effect of 2,3-substituted-1.4-naphthoquinone derivatives, we newly synthesized several 2-chloro, 2-bromo and 2-hydroxy-1, 4-naphthoquinones and subjected to antibacterial and antifungal activites, in vitro, against Escherichia coli NIHJ, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC6538p, Candida albicans 10231, Aspergillus niger 1231 and Tricophyton mentagrophytes 6085. Among these derivatives 3, 9, 18 and 23 showed the potent antibacterial activities. 18, 23 and 28 have the antifungal activities. However, these compounds have no significant hemolytic activity at concentrations higher than that required for showing the antibacterial and antifungal activities.

우리나라의 水資源을 論함에 있어서 全 國土의 66%를 차지하고 있는 山地의 물 收支문제는 河川의 流量을 決定하게 되는 매우 重要한 要因이라고 생각된다. 이리하여 京畿道 光陵의 優良한 闊葉樹와 고거 甚한 山地荒廢로 砂防事業을 實施한 바 있는 京畿道 楊洲郡 檜泉面 栗亭里 불량 소나무 ?樹林地를 選定하여 降水量 및 流水量調査 施設을 設置하여 調査하고 山林狀態가 降水에 따른 流出이 어떻게 나타나고 있는가를 綿密하게 分析하였다. Natural water resource of our country depends on o forest area because of it is occupied about 66% of country area. The yield of water in the forest is very important factor to decide of stream flow for use. Two area of good forest land and a poor forest land near the Euijeong-bu city for this study. The good forest is consisted of natural old aged broad-leaf trees and the poor forest is consisted of natural pine sapling. The permanant gauge station which installed with a self-recording raingague and a stage recorder in a stilling well was established in each experimental plot. It was carried out during 1978-1982 about the characterize of rainfall and runoff. We are clear up the effect of forest in the control of water discharge. In monthly distribution of annual rainfall, more than 60% of the total annual rainfall were recorded for 2 months from July to August. Annual run-off rate was analysed as 35.4% from the good forest, while 39.8% from the poor forest. Good forest has increased larger storage water in the soil than a poor forest.

AI 조성비 변화에 따른 GaAs/AIGaAs 다중양자우물구조 특성변화 연구

We manufactured and characterized different sets of GaAs/AlGaAs multiple quantum well structures for the long wavelength infrared photodetection. The samples were grown by MBE. We changed the aluminum composition of barrier region from 0.24 to 0.30 in 0.02 steps, and performed double crystals X-ray diffraction(DCXRD) and the photoluminescence measurements. DCXRD measurements correctly gave the expected aluminum compositions. Photoluminescence measurements revealed that the ground state energy of the well increases with composition as desired, but the change was not very significant.

의도적 재식술을 이용한 치관-치근 파절된 미성숙영구치의 치험례

본 증례에서는 치아외상으로 치관-치근 파절된 미성숙 영구치의 치료에 대해 서술하고자 한다. 7세 환아의 상악 좌측 중절치의 치아 파절선이 치은연하로 치아장축을 따라 치아전체의 1/2까지 연장되어 있었다. 수직적 치관-치근 파설된 치아에서 그 예후는 불량하며 발치가 일반적인 처치이나 성장기 아동에서 상악중절치의 발치는 치조골 흡수, 심미적 문제, 발음문제 등 여러 합병증을 초래한다. 치은연하로 치관-치근 파절된 치아의 치료 방법으로 치은연상만 수복하는 방법과 치은판막을 형성하여 수복하여 주는 방법, 교정력을 이용하여 정출시키는 방법과 수술로써 발치하여 정출시키는 방법 등이 있다. 본 증례에서는 치아를 의도적으로 발치한 후 접착용 레진 시스템을 분리된 치아 파절편을 부착한 후 재식하였다. 1년 동안 관찰한 결과 현재 특이한 임상적 증상은 없으며 심미적으로도 만족할 만하다. 접착용 레진 시스템의 개발과 함께 본 술식은 외상을 많이 받는 혼합 치열기 아동에서 치관-치근 파절된 미성숙 영구치의 한 치료법으로 고려할 수 있다고 생각되어 이에 보고 하는 바이다. This case report describes an uncommon treatment method for crown-root fractured incisor with immature root. A 7-year-old girl was referred for treatment of crown-root fractured maxillary central incisor. The fracture line extended to 1/2 of the total tooth length with incomplete root formation. The prognosis of crown-root fracture is usually poor and extraction is usually undertaken. But, in the mixed dentition, extraction of maxillary permanent incisor results in many complications, such as resorption of alveolar bone, poor esthetics, pronunciation and mastication. Conservative therapy in the permanent dentition comprises of few treatment modalities ; supragingival restoration, gingivectomy, orthodontic extraction of apical fragment, surgical extrusion of apical fragment with or without rotational replantation. However, in this case, these indications are not applicable, so intentional replantation with adhesive resin system is the treatment of choice. The tooth was followed-up for 12 months. Currently, there are no symptoms. Since this modality adopts the respective advantages of both intentional replantation and adhesive treatment, it might be the treatment of choice in cases of vertical crown-root fracture.

Therefore, this study aim to reduce amount of particulate and to contribute developing after-treatment in diesel engine. Through the experimental and theoretical study about characteristics of the electric heat regeneration, various results are obtained.

소나무 秀型木 風媒次代의 遺傳力과 改良效果 推定

To maximize genetic gains and to establish an effective and long term breeding strategy for Pinus densiflora through estimation of genetic parameters, such as heritability and expected genetic gains, a progeny test was carried out. The open-pollinated seeds were collected from 49 selected plus trees of Pinus densiflora S. et Z. in the fall of 1984 and outplanted at four localities, Kongju, Wanju, Naju and Kyoungju. Measurements were taken at the 8-year old seedling stage and the obtained results from this test were summarized as follows; Significant differences among families were observed in both height and diameter at root collar. Individual heritability estimated for height and diameter at root collar was 0.126 and 0.082, respectively while family heritability estimated 0.531 and 0.473. Considering 20% of selection intensity with combined selection method, the improved genetic gains for each characters were estimated as 9.5% for height growth and 8.3 percents for diameter at root collar.

오존처리에 의한 하수슬러지의 감량화

The effects of ozone treatment on the dewaterability of activated sludge wasted from a sewage treatment plant were investigated in this study. Following ozone treatment, sludge was dewatered using a pressure fitter. The sludge filterability evaluated by SRF deteriorated with ozone dosage at relatively low ozone doses due to sludge solubilization and particle size decrease. However, at ozone doses higher than 0.6gO_3/gSS, the SRF of the ozone treated sludge became comparable with the value for the sludge without ozone treatment. It is suggested that the oxidation of the viscous, high molecule organics attached at cell surface reduces the surface charge of sludge particle and promotes flocculation at relatively high ozone doses. Ozone treatment also cause the release of bound water trapped inside cells or flocs, resulting in significant reduction of cake water content after dewatering. In terms of cake volume, more than 70% reduction was obtained at 0.6gO_3/gSS. These observations suggest that ozone treatment has potential to significantly enhance sludge dewaterability and to produce a more compact cake without severe deterioration of its filterability.

구강악안면 영역의 수술 시 악하 기관 삽관술의 유용성에 대한 임상적 고찰

It is hardto make a decision of what route we will select for endotracheal intubation at open reduction of oral and maxillofacial trauma. In the patients with fractures of multiple facial bones combined with fracture of crainal basal bone, intermaxillary fixtion makes oro-endotracheal intubation impossible. And the possibility of injury to the fracture site of crainal basal bone and the impossibility of reconstruction of naso-orbito-ethmoidal(NOE) complex fractures also make the naso-endotracheal intubation difficult. But it is not easy to select the tracheostomy because of its several complications and abhorrences. For above reson, Altermir introduced submental route for endotracheal intubation as new technique in 1986 and Green etc. modified this technique in 1996. The purpose of this article is to evaluate the efficiency of submental route for endotracheal intubation after experience of 10-clinical cases for variable reasons with review of articles.

만성 C형 간염 환자에서 페그인터페론 알파2a와 리바비린 병합 치료중 발생한 벨마비 1예

페그인터페론과 리바비린 병합요법은 만성 C형 간염의 일차 치료법이다. 저자들은 만성 C형 간염 환자에서 페그인터페론 과 리바비린 병합 요법 중에 발생한 벨마비 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. 환자는 5년 전부터 만성 C형 간염을 앓아온 48세 남자이며, PEG-IFN α-2a 135μgm 피하주사 주1회와 하루 1200㎎의 리바비린을 투여하였다. 치료시작 후 9개월째 환자는 오른쪽 안면의 근력약화를 호소하였으며 벨마비로 진단되었다. 페그인터페론과 리바비린 병합요법을 지속하면서 관찰하였다. 환자의 벨마비는 페그인터페론 치료를 중단하지 않았음에도 3개월후 증상이 회복되고 이후 벨마비 재발 없이 현재 경과관찰 중이다. 만성 C형 간염에서 페그인터페론과 리바비린 병합 요법시 벨마비의 발생 가능성을 염두에 두어야 하겠다. A Case of Bell's Palsy Associated with Combination Therapy of Pegylated Interferon Alfa-2a (PEG-IFN) and Ribavirin for Chronic Hepatitis C Virus Infection Pegylated interferon alfa(PEG-IFN α) and ribavirin therapy is the first line treatment for chronic hepatitis C. Mild complications of the therapy are common, but more serious complications are rare. We report here a case of Bell's palsy that occurred in a patient with chronic hepatitis C virus infection during combination therapy of PEG-IFN α-2a and ribavirin. The patient was 49-year-old man with chronic hepatitis C (genotype 1b) for 8 years. He had compensated liver cirrhosis with splenomegaly. Therapy with PEG-IFN α- 2a 135mcg/week and ribavirin 1200mg/day was initiated. After 9 months of the therapy, the patient showed a loss of muscular tone on the right side of his face. A diagnosis of Bell's palsy was made. The Bell's palsy resolved over 3 months despite continuation of the combination therapy.
