      • 연산 증폭기 (TL494) 를 이용한 DC/DC 승압 컨버터 제어 시스템 설계

        A simple control system using an op Amp (TL494) is presented for a DC/DC boost converter. The DC/DC boost converters have many industrial applications including renewable energy sources and hybrid automobiles. The problem of regulating the output voltage in the presence of load variation has been a research subject of interest for many years. After computer simulations with SimPower system of Matlab Simulink, we have developed the converter system in university laboratory according to the design specifications. Since the chip TL494 has both op Amp and PWM comparator even beginners can easily develop the control system. Experimental results show that the proposed system has some robustness with respect to the load variation.

      • 트랙타 부착 대형이앙기 개발 및 재배적 실용성

        쌀 생산비를 줄이고 대경지 규모화 영농에 적응할 수 있는 농기계 개발을 목적으로 연구개발한 대규모 경지적응 트랙터 부착 대형벼이앙기의 구성과 특징 및 개발시작기의 재배적 실용성 평가결과를 요약정리하면 다음과 같다. 1. 트랙터 부착 12조 대형벼이앙기는 크게 바퀴자국 제거로타리, 문짝형 정지판, 이앙장치부 등으로 구성되어 있다. 2. 트랙터 부착 12조 이앙기는 트랙터 동력을 이용하여 로타리, 정지 및 이앙작업이 동시에 이루어 질 수 있도록 개발하였다. 3. 바퀴자국을 없애는 날은 기존의 로타리 날을 교체하면 되도록 반달형 날로 제작하였다. 4. 이앙기는 이동시는 접을 수 있도록 설계 제작되어 대형화가 가능하므로 기존 6조 승용이앙기에 비하여 이앙작업 능력이 1.5배 이상이었다. 5. 트랙터 부착 대형벼이앙기는 트랙터와 같은 큰 동력원을 이용할 수 있으므로 측조시비기, 긴매트모 탑재 등 다양한 작업기 및 기능을 추가로 부착 가능하도록 설계되었다. 6. 트랙터 부착 대형벼이앙기는 어린모 및 중묘이앙시 결주율은 3.0∼4.3%로 기계이앙기 결주 허용범위 5% 미만이었다. 하지만 무경운 논에서는 이앙작업은 가능하나 부묘율이 다소 높은 점은 보완이 필요하다. To develop a labor saving rice cultivation technology, a new tractor attached rice transplanter has been developed for large scale farming and its field performance was evaluated. The rice transplanter consists of three major parts such as rotary for removing tractor tire furrow, door-shaped soil leveling plate and transplanting equipment. The rice transplanter is operated using the power of the tractor and performs rotary, harrow and seedling transplanting simultaneously. A half moon shaped rotary blade was found to be very efficient to remove tire furrow developed during seedling transplanting and the original rotary blade can be replaced easily with existed rotary blade. The seedling transplanting part of the transplanter was designed to fold into small size and the transplanting efficiency of the transplanter was found to be 1.5 times higher than that of the conventional riding type six row transplanter. Since the transplanter is operated through a strong power of the tractor, the additional attachment such as fertilizer application apparatus and long mat rice seedling carrier is possible. Based on the field performance of the transplanter, although the missing hill percentage showed roughly with 3.0∼4.3% for 10-day and 30-day old seedlings but the percentage is less than 5% which is maximum missing hill permit in the transplanting rice. Seedling transplanting in no-tillage field condition is acceptable but floating seedling percentage is still high and thus further technology improvement for minimizing floating seedling percontage is needed.

        한국 주요정신장애의 유병률 및 관련요인 : 2006 전국정신질환역학조사

        Objectives The aims of this study are to estimate the prevalence of the DSM-IV psychiatric disorders in the Korean population using the Korean version of Composite International Diagnostic Interview (K-CIDI), and to compare those with previous studies. Methods The Korean Epidemiologic Catchment Area study Replication (KECA-R) was Conducted between August 2006 and April 2007. The sampling of the subjects was carried out across 12 catchment areas. A multistage, cluster sampling design was adopted. The target Population included all eligible residents aged 181o 64 years. Face-to-face interviews were conducted with the Korean version of Composite International Diagnostic Interview (K-CIDI) based on the DSM-IV (N=6,510, response rate=81.7%). Results A total of 6,510 participants completed the interview. The lifetime and 12-month prevalence rates for all types of DSM-IV disorders were 30.0% and 17.3%, respectively. Those of Specific disorders were as follows : 1) alcohol use disorder, 16.2% and 5.6% ; 2) nicotine use disorder, 9.0% and 6.0% ; 3) specific phobia, 3.8% and 3.4% ; 4) major depressive disorder, 5.6% and 2.5% ; and 5) generalized anxiety disorder, 1.6% and 0.8%. Data relating to nicotine and alcohol use disorder revealed a very high male/female ratio. Mood disorder and anxiety disorder were more prevalent among females than males. Conclusion The prevalence of psychiatric disorders was high. In comparison with other studies, remarkable differences in the distribution of psychiatric disorders across the country and times were observed.

      • MCP-1/CCR2 effect on melanocyte proliferation and senescence of keratinocytes in solar lentigo

        Background: The effects of the monocyte chemoattractant-1 (MCP-1) on keratinocytes and melanocytes, which are the key cells in the development of seline lentigo, and on their senescence are not yet understood. Objectives: To investigate the effect of MCP-1, the most well-known chemokine associated with senescence associated secretory phenotype (SASP) on melanin production and cellular senescence of both melanocytes and keratinocytes, on the pathogenesis of senile lentigo. Methods: We investigated whether MCP-1 affects melanin production and cellular senescence of melanocytes andkeratinocytes in vitro as well as in senile lentigo on human skin. Cell viability assay and melanin content assay were carried out; additional immunohistochemistry, senescence-associated beta-galactosidase (SA-モ-Gal) staining and Western blotting were performed to quantify the effects of MCP-1.Results: In melanocytes, when MCP-1/CCR2 were activated, they showed proliferation with modest increase of melanogenesis. SA-モ-gal activity was increased in keratinocytes by MCP-1 treatment in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, the changes in the expression of senescence markers when treated with MCP-1 suggested that MCP-1 induce the senescence of melanocytes and keratinocytes. Conclusion: This study suggests that MCP-1 could have a role as an inflammation-associated paracrine chemokine inducing senescence of melanocytes and keratinocytes in the development of senile lentigo.

      • Pigmented dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans presenting as a faint blue macule in a middle-aged Korean woman

        Pigmented dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (Bednar tumor) is an uncommon variant of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. Well-known for its high local recurrence rate and possible systemic metastasis, early detection and treatment of this rare variant is critical. Here we report the case of a 45-year-old Korean woman without particular medical history who presented with a faint blue macule on her chest. Suspicion of a tumorous condition was quite low, until histopathological and immunohistochemical findings led to the diagnosis of pigmented dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. Microscopic findings consisted of proliferations of spindle-shaped cells in the lower dermis. Additionally, clumps of melanin pigments were observed within the tumor cells. The few cases of pigmented dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans that have been reported thus far address variable clinical characteristics of this neoplasm. However, the majority of the cases were pediatric, and the macroscopic appearances were evidently suggestive of a cutaneous neoplasm. As the first Korean adult-onset case of pigmented dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, this peculiar case illustrates the possible benign macroscopic feature of pigmented dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, which could have been overlooked.

      • Treatment of pigmented contact dermatitis using fractional radiofrequency needling

        Pigmented contact dermatitis is often refractory to conventional therapeutic options, such as laser toning. The main reason of its refractoriness is a heavy burden of dermal melanin and melanophages which are known to be long-lasting in the dermis. Recently, infiltrative microneedle fractional radiofrequency (RF) devices, also known as RF microneedling, are used for the improvement of aged skin, wrinkles, scars and dilated pores and rough skin texture. Furthermore, microneedle fractional RF-assisted topical drug delivery has also been actively used and studied: cases of refractory melasma had been often responsive to RF microneedling-assisted topical delivery of agents such as vitamin C, polydeoxynucleotide (PDRN) and growth factors (GF). We herein report two cases of severe pigmented contact dermatitis on the face who were treated with noninvasive fractional RF (Sylfirm^{®}, SLR, Korea) with good improvement without post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Since PDRN and multiple GFs were confirmed in vitro as having anti-melanogenetic effects, they were applied for further lightening. Microneedle fractional RF-induced dermal heating and boosted topical delivery of active agents are thought to modulate epidermal and dermal environment for anti-melanogenesis and facilitate removal of dermal melanophages.

        Background: Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN), extracted from the sperm of trout, contains deoxyribonucleotide polymers consisted of 50-2000 base pairs. It activates A2receptor and salvage pathway, which induces secretion of growth factors, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and anti-inflammatory cytokines. PDRN, mainly applied as injection, is widely used for treating various disorders such as diabetic foot ulcer, scars, fine wrinkles, alopecia, and vascular insufficiency. However, the effects of PDRN on melanogenesis are not well known. Objectives: To investigate the effect of PDRN on melanogenesis. Methods: We examined the effect of PDRN on melanogenesis using Mel ab mouse melanocyte cells and human melanocytesby measurement melanin contents and activity of tyrosinase after PDRN treatment. Microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF) and tyrosinase protein were examined by Western blotting. The action mechanism of PDRN on melanogenesis by stimulation of A2 receptor was also investigated. Results: PDRN inhibited the activity of tyrosinase as well as level of melanin contents in dose dependent manner, which tended to decrease more sharply in tyrosinase activity. The levels of MITF and tyrosinase protein were also decreased after PDRN treatment. Conclusion: These results suggest that PDRN can be used as an anti-melanogenic agent.

      • FC 1-5 : Efficacy of asymmetric siRNA targeting androgen receptor for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia

        Background: Asymmetric small interfering RNA (asiRNA) can inhibit expression of a target gene efficiently, and can be a therapeutic option for various diseases. Androgenic alopecia (AGA) is caused by genetics and sensitivity to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which binds to androgen receptor (AR) and leads to hair loss. Objectives: To evaluate the therapeutic potential of asiRNA(AR), an asiRNA developed to silence AR gene, for the treatment of AGA. Methods: Human dermal papilla (DP) cells, C57BL/6 mice, and ex vivo human scalp tissues were stimulated with DHT with or without treatment with asiRNA(AR), and the change in expression of AR as well as other molecules implicated in hair growth were evaluated. Also, the mean diameter of hair bulb and the proportions of telogen hair in ex vivo scalp tissues were determined after exposure to DHT with or without asiRNA(AR). Results: After treatment with asiRNA(AR) in DP cells, no significant toxicity was observed, and the expression of AR was downregulated. Also, treatment with asiRNA(AR) attenuated DHT-induced increase in IL-6, TGFβ1, and DKK1. In the asiRNA(AR)-treated group, the proportion of telogen hair was lower, and the mean hair bulb diameter was thicker than the control stimulated with DHT only. Local injection of asiRNA(AR) in DHT-induced mice resulted in hair growth promotion. Conclusion: Downregulation of AR expression and prevention of DHT-induced changes could be achieved with asiRNA(AR). Thus, it could be a therapeutic option for AGA.
