        This paper presents results of the development of centerless feeding system which are applicable to bearing metal processes. As a result, the feeding system can be applied to automatic surface finishing on the bearing metal process such as bush, and has greatly effects on the increase of the prodnctiving and the decrease of the man power an effect on increase the productivity and decrease the man power and effect on increase the productivity and decrease the man power of the bush machining process.

      • 재발 또는 불응성 비호즈킨 림프종 환자에서 CDME 구제항암화학요법 후 고용량 항암화학요법 및 자가말초혈액 조혈모세포이식의 효과

        Background and objectives : The long-term survival in patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) after conventional dose chemotherapy is about 35% and the rest of the patients tend to have relapse. So, in relapsed or refractory NHL, we compared the outcome of patients undergoing high-dose chemotherapy with autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation(APBSCT) with only salvage chemotherapy of cisplatin, dexamethasone, mitoxantrone, and etoposide(CDME). Materials and methods : From June 1993 to December 1999, 25 patients with relapsed or resistant NHL were treated with CDME regimen as salvage chemotherapy. Twelve patients were received four cycles of CDME chemotherapy, and 13 patients were received high-dose chemotherapy with APBSCT following two cycles of CDME chemotherapy. Results : The median follow-up duration was 12.8 months(range:4-68). The overall response rate was 41.7% (complete response rate 25%, partial response rate 16.7%) in 12 patients with CDME only. Thirteen patients who were treated with high-dose chemotherapy with APBSCT achieved 61.5% complete response rate and 15.4% partial response rate, with an overall response rate of 76.9%. The estimated 3-year progression-free survival rate was significantly higher among patients who received high-dose therapy than patients who received CDME only(41.5% vs 20.0%, p<0.05). And, 3-year overall survival rate was significantly higher among patients who received high-dose therapy(51.3% vs 25.0%, p <0.05). Conclusions : In relapsed or refractory NHL, CDME chemotherapy is an effective salvage chemotherapy and allow peripheral blood stem cell collection. Also, high-dose chemotherapy with APBSCT following CDME is superior to CDME salvage chemotherapy only.

      • Mirizzi 증후군의 변형된 분류와 치료

        Purpose : The Mirizzi syndrome is relatively rare and preoperative diagnosis of this disease is difficult. In 1978, Morelli suggested the subclassification of the Mirizzi syndrome into acute or chronic form. We experienced 5 cases of acute form. We analysed clinical features, preoperative radiologic findings and operative findings of 18 cases including acute forms which were diagnosed as Mirizzi syndrome and should suggest the modified classification of Mirizzi syndrome for choice of appropriate treatment. Method : From January 1995 to December 1998, 18 cases, of which 8 cases were diagnosed at Soonchunhyang University Chunan Hospital, and 10 cases were reported in the Korean Journal were retrospectively analysed with regard to clinical features, preoperative radiologic findings and operative findings. According to the clinical features, whole cases were divided into type Ⅰ(acute form) and type Ⅱ(chronic form) and then each type of cases were subclassified according to preoperative radiologic findings and operative findings. Results : Of 18 cases there were 5 cases in type Ⅰ(27.8%), 13 cases in type Ⅱ(72.2%). Type Ⅱb was most common. Type Ⅰa cases were treated only with cholecystectomy. We applied cholecystectomy, T-tube choledochostomy and patch technique in type Ⅰb and thpe Ⅰc cases. Cholectystectomies including removal of gallstones and internal drainage procedures were done in type Ⅱ chronic forms. Conclusion : The acute form(Type Ⅰ) of Mirizzi syndrome was suggested by Morelli might be subclassified into typeⅠa,Ⅰb and Ⅰc following the presence of the necrotic defect in common hepatic duct. Through the modified classification of Mirizzi syndrome based on clinical feature, preoperative radiologic findings and operative findings, we can choice appropriate treatment.

      • 石炭, 洋灰關聯産業이 嶺東地域經濟에 미치는 波及效果 分析

        본 논문의 목적은 지역산업연관표를 이용하여 영동지역의 산업연관 관계를 계량적으로 분석하는데 있다. 이러한 산업연관 분석방법은 영동지역의 산업상호간 경제활동과 구조적 특징을 체계적으로 분석하고 장래의 산업 변화에 대한 예측을 가능하게 한다. 본연구의 결과에 나타난 몇가지 중요한 점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 석탄, 양회산업은 지역산업연관효과가 매우 높은 수준으로 측정됨으로써 이들 특화산업이 지역발전의 선도산업으로서 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있음을 보여주고 있다. 둘째, 이들 두 산업이 영동지역내에서는 중요한 산업이지만 양회산업의 경우 지역전체 생산에서 차지하는 비중이 매우 높은 산업임에도 불구하고 고용승수로 측정되는 고용효과 측면에서는 그 영향이 그리 크지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 시멘트 산업이 자본집약적인 장치산업으로서 자본의 규모에 비해 고용자를 많이 사용하지 않기 때문인 것으로 평가된다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the quantitative characteristics of the Young-Dong regional economy in industrial interleatedness by using the 1990 I-O table. The analysis of this structural character and industrial interrelatedness makes it possible to estimate the current structural problems and future prospects of Young-Dong regional economy. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows: 1)The coal mining and cement industries sector have relatively high and wide-spreading positive impacts on the regional output and income. 2)Above two sectors showed different impacts pattern on the employment. Coal mining sector gives relatively higher impacts on the regional employment but cement industry sector gives lower impacts on the regional economy because cement industries sector is labor saving industries with large equipment requirement.

        YAG LASER에 의한 공구강의 표면개질에 관한 연구

        Laser induced surface hardening of Tool steel(STC5) can be achieved either with or without surface melting. In trans-formation hardening, as the surface is heated to a temperature below its melting point and is rapidly cooled, solidified microstructures are usually much finer and stronger than those of the base matals. For this reason, surface modification of tool steel by YAG laser irradiation has been studied as a fuction of processing parameters such as, power density, pulse width, defocusing distance, and molten depth. The high energy density changes and refines the microstructure of the near surface layer. In the case of beam passes, martensite formed in the melt zone exhibited very high vickers hardness values. Molten depth and width depend on defocusing distance, and energy of black color painting is more absorptive than other color painting.

      • A2024와 SM45C 마찰용접의 열전달 해석

        The heat transfer mechanism initiating the friction welding is examined and a transient three dimensional heat conduction model for the welding of two dissimilar cylindrical metal bars is investigated. The cylindrical metal bars are made of materials made of A2024 and SM45C. Numerical simulations of heat flow are performed using the finite volume method. Respectively, Commercial FLUENT code is used in the heat flow simulation and maximum temperature and distribution of temperature are calculated. Temperature of friction welded joining face is compared with the temperature distribution measured by experiment and numerical simulation. The maximum temperature of friction welded joining face is lower than melting point of A2024-T6 aluminum alloy using insert metal. The temperature distribution of friction welded joining face with insert metal is more uniform than that of without insert metal

      • 돼지 신장세포(PK15)의 이종이식 거부반응에 대한 재조합 IL-18의 영향

        Various cytokines including IL-1β, IL-2, IL-4, IL-10, IL-12p40, IFN-γ, and TNF-α have been recently reported to play important roles in both host and donor cell activations during xenotransplantation. Interleukin (IL)-18, a proinflammatory cytokine, can induce IL-4 and IL-13 production in T cells, NK cells, B cells, mast cells, and basophils. IL-18 has the capacity to stimulate innate immunity and both Th1-and Th2- mediated responses, but little is known to involve in the xenograft rejection. In order to investigate the role of IL-18 in xenograft rejection, we transplanted the pig kidney (PK15) cells to C57BL/6 mouse with or without intraperitoneal injection of mouse recombinatant IL-18. It was analyzed the population of T cell, B cell and NK cell in the mice transplanted with PK 15 cells and recombinant IL-18 by flow cytometry. We found that splenic CD3+ T cells were increased in mice injected PK15 cells with recombinant IL-18. These results suggest that recombinant IL-18 is critical in the xenograft rejection by increasing T cell population of the recipients.
