        The objective the paper is to investigate the physical and mechanical properties of concrete incorporating mineral admixtures. For setting properties, at low curing temperature, setting time of concrete with mineral admixture is delayed compared with that of plain concrete. But, use of cement kiln dust(CKD) has a desirable effect on reducing setting retard under low curing temperature. For compressive strength, concrete with FA and BS have low strength at early stage compared with that of plain concrete under low curing temperature. However, the use of CKD resulted in an enhancement of compressive strength at early stage under low curing temperature, and exhibited a similar level of compressive strength with plain concrete. For this reason, use of CKD in cold weather concreting has positive effect on strength development at low curing temperature under early age.

        In this paper, setting and strength development of cement mortar are discussed under various mineral admixture content and curing temperature. Setting time exhibited an increasing tendency with an increase in curing temperature. Under low curing temperature, use of CKD resulted in a reduction in setting retarding, whereas FA and BS retarded the setting time of cement mortar. For compressive strength, high curing temperature and age leaded to an increase in compressive strength of concrete. Under low curing temperature, the use of CKD resulted in an enhancement of compressive strength at early stage, and exhibited a similar level of compressive strength with plain concrete. For this reason, use of CKD in cold weather concreting has positive effect on strength development at low curing temperature under early age.

      • DP매칭에 의한 On-Line 악보인식

        실시간으로 악보를 인식하고,사용자의 편의를 도모하기 위해 DP(Dynamic Programming) 매칭법을 이용 한 On-Line 악보인식에 관한 방법을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서는 실시간으로 입력되는 악상기호를 인식하기 위해, 가장 유효한 정보인 악상 기호내의 x, y 좌표를 이용하여 16방향 부호화를 수행하여 입력패턴을 생성한 다음 표준패턴과의 DP매칭을 통하여 벌점을 구한다. 그리고 경로탐색을 통해 벌점에 대한 각각의 합계를 구해 최소값을 악상기호로 인식 하였다. 실험결과,표준패턴을 음표와 비음표의 두개의 그룹으로 나누어 인식함으로써 DP매칭의 처리 속도를 개선시켰고,국소적인 변형이 있는 패턴과 특징의 수가 다른 패턴의 경우에도 좋은 인식률을 얻었다. We proposed method about On-Line sheet music recognition by using Dynamic Programming matching method to recognize sheet music by real time, and maintain user's convenience. In this paper, we yield penalty through DP matching with standard pattern after run 16 directions encoding and create input pattern using x, y coordinate in theme symbol that is the valid information to recognize theme sign that is inputed by real time. And we recognized theme symbol by smallest value of each total about penalty through path search. In experiment result, we improved the processing speed of DP matching by recognizing dividing standard pattern to two group as note and non-note, and received the fine recognition rate in case of pattern with local transform and pattern that number of characteristic is different.

        In this paper, supposed to solve these problem to PID parameters controller algorithm using ANN. In the proposed algorithm, the parameters of the controller were adjusted to reduce by on-line system the error of the speed of IM. In this process, EBPA NN was constituted to an output error value of an IM and conspired an input and output. The performance of the self-tuning controller is compared with that of the PH) controller tuned by conventional method (Ziehler-Nichols). The effectiveness of the proposed control method is verified thought the Matlab Simulink and experimental results.

      • Multiple myeloma presenting with autoimmune hemolytic anemia successfully treated with

        Anemia, which is present in about 73% of patients at diagnosis of multiple myeloma (MM), is generally related to myeloma marrow infiltration or renal dysfunction. Very rarely, autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) is accompanied by MM and has been reported in only a few case. Here, we report a case of MM presenting with AIHA successfully treated with thalidomide. A 73-year-old woman was admitted with a 1-week dyspnea. Laboratory investigation showed: hemoglobin 4.7 g/dL, reticulocyte 23.46%, serum lactate dehydrogenase 681 IU/L (150-550), haptoglobin 2 mg/dL (50-320), total bilirubin 1.61 mg/dL and direct bilirubin 0.41 mg/dL. Moreover, direct coombs test was positive. At the same time, serum protein electrophoresis revealed M band and serum immunofixation test revealed monoclonal gammopathy of IgG kappa light chain type. There was no plasma cell in bone marrow. A positron emission tomography scan revealed high 18-fluorodeoxyglucose uptake in multiple soft tissue and lung. Needle biopsy of soft tissue and lung revealed plasma cell myeloma. MM presenting with AIHA was diagnosed. She was treated with melphalan and prednisolone, but there was no response on the treatment. So she was treated with second line TCD (thalidomide, cyclophosphamide and dexamethasone) chemotherapy. After 7 cycles of chemotherapy, the result was complete response. Also, hemoglobin level became normal and direct coombs test became negative. This case is very interesting and unique because of two reasons. First, MM was developed with plasmacytoma of soft tissue and AIHA. Second, not only MM but also AIHA was successfully treated with thalidomide.

        증례 : 혈액종양 ; 심근 및 전신의 연조직을 침범한 Richter 증후군의 1예

        Richter 증후군은 만성 림프구백혈병이 공격적인 림프종으로 전환되는 것을 의미한다. Richter 증후군의 빈도는 2-10%정도이며, 동아시아에서는 만성 림프구백혈병의 빈도가 드물기 때문에 국내에서 Richter 증후군이 보고된 경우는 매우드물다. Richter 증후군에서는 주로 림프절과 골수의 침범을 보이며 드물게 림프절 외 장기의 침범을 보인다. 만성 림프구백혈병을 진단받은 42세 남자 환자가 2년 6개월 후 양쪽 허벅지와 엉덩이에 종괴가 만져져서 병원을 방문하였다. 양전자방출단층촬영에서 피하, 근육 및 심근에 FDG 섭취증가를 보였으며 조직검사 결과 광범위큰B세포림프종으로 전환된Richter 증후군으로 진단되었다. R-CHOP 항암요법을 6회 시행 후 완전관해되었으나 3개월 뒤 재발하였다. 본 환자는 만성 림프구백혈병에서 광범위큰B세포림프종으로 전환된 Richter증후군으로 진단되었으며 피하 및 근육을 침범하는 드문 경과를 보였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Richter’s syndrome refers to the development of aggressive lymphoma in a patient with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). It occurs in about 2% to 10% of patients with CLL. The most frequent manifestation of Richter’s syndrome is diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Extranodal involvement is rare but can occur. The prognosis of Richter’s syndrome is very poor. We herein report a case of a rare presentation of Richter’s syndrome. A 42-year-old man diagnosed with CLL 2 years previously developed nodules on the bilateral thighs and buttocks. A positron emission tomography (PET)-CT scan revealed high fluorodeoxyglucose uptake in multiple lymph nodes, skeletal muscles, and the myocardium. An ultrasonography-guided biopsy confirmed Richter’s syndrome from CLL to DLBCL. The patient was treated with rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone chemotherapy. After six cycles of chemotherapy, we performed a PET-CT scan that revealed a complete response. However, 3 months later, the syndrome recurred. The patient was undergoing salvage chemotherapy at the time of this writing. (Korean J Med 2016;90:163-168)

      • 에지 정보와 히스토그램 분석에 의한 움직이는 물체 검출 및 추적

        We propose algorithm of moving object detection and tracking using edge information and histogram analysis in motion image by real time. we extract edge that can reduce quantity of data keeping shape information of input image in object detection. And then, the object is extracted by difference image and binarization in edge image. Area of detected object is determined by threshold that divides horizontal sum of binary conversion density by the sum of horizontal and vertical maximum accumulation. Object is tracked by comparing similarity with object that is detected in previous and present frame. Experiment result shows that the proposed algorithm improves the object detection speed, tracks object on real time and even local movement.

      • SEQprocess: a modularized and customizable pipeline framework for NGS processing in R package

        <P><B>Backgrounds</B></P><P>Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) is now widely used in biomedical research for various applications. Processing of NGS data requires multiple programs and customization of the processing pipelines according to the data platforms. However, rapid progress of the NGS applications and processing methods urgently require prompt update of the pipelines. Recent clinical applications of NGS technology such as cell-free DNA, cancer panel, or exosomal RNA sequencing data also require appropriate customization of the processing pipelines. Here, we developed SEQprocess, a highly extendable framework that can provide standard as well as customized pipelines for NGS data processing.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>SEQprocess was implemented in an R package with fully modularized steps for data processing that can be easily customized. Currently, six pre-customized pipelines are provided that can be easily executed by non-experts such as biomedical scientists, including the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Genomic Data Commons (GDC) pipelines as well as the popularly used pipelines for variant calling (e.g., GATK) and estimation of allele frequency, RNA abundance (e.g., TopHat2/Cufflink), or DNA copy numbers (e.g., Sequenza). In addition, optimized pipelines for the clinical sequencing from cell-free DNA or miR-Seq are also provided. The processed data were transformed into R package-compatible data type ‘ExpressionSet’ or ‘SummarizedExperiment’, which could facilitate subsequent data analysis within R environment. Finally, an automated report summarizing the processing steps are also provided to ensure reproducibility of the NGS data analysis.</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>SEQprocess provides a highly extendable and R compatible framework that can manage customized and reproducible pipelines for handling multiple legacy NGS processing tools.</P>

        Plasma haptoglobin and immunoglobulins as diagnostic indicators of deoxynivalenol intoxication

        This study aimed to discover potential biomarkers for dioxynivalenol (DON) intoxication. B6C3F1 male mice were orally exposed to 0.83, 2.5 and 7.5 mg/kg body weight (bw) DON for 8 days and the differential protein expressions in their blood plasma were determined by SELDI - Time-of-Flight/ Mass Spectrometry (TOF/MS) and the immunoglobulins (Igs) G, A, M and E in the serum were investigated. 11.7 kDa protein was significantly highly expressed according to DON administration and this protein was purified by employing a methyl ceramic HyperD F column with using optimization buffer for adsorption and desorption. The purified protein was identified as a haptoglobin precursor by peptide mapping with using LC/Q-TOF/MS and MALDI-TOF/MS and this was confirmed by western blotting and ELISA. IgG and IgM in serum were decreased in a dose-dependent manner and IgA was decreased at 7.5 mg/kg bw DON administration, but the IgE level was not changed. To compare the expressions of haptoglobin and the Igs patterns between aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), zearalenone (ZEA) and DON intoxications, rats were orally administered with AFB1 1.0, ZEA 240 and DON 7.5 mg/kg bw for 8 days. Haptoglobin was increased only at DON 7.5 mg/kg bw, while it was slightly decreased at ZEA 240 mg/kg bw and it was not detected at all at AFB1 1.0 mg/kg bw. IgG and IgA were decreased by DON, but IgG, IgA, IgM and IgE were all increased by AFB1. No changes were observed by ZEA administration. These results show that plasma haptoglobin could be a diagnostic biomarker for DON intoxication when this is combined with examining the serum Igs.

        Multi-mode Kernel Weight-based Object Tracking

        최근, 감시시스템, 게임, 영화 등 다양한 분야에서 영상을 이용한 실시간 객체 추적의 필요성이 높아짐에 따라, 커널기반 mean-shift 추적 기법에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 커널 기반 mean-shift 객체 추적에 있어서 주요한 몇 가지 문제점들 중, 첫 번째로 추적 목표 객체에 대한 부분 가림 혹은 전체 가림 상황에서의 객체 추적의 문제를 들 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 멀티모드 지역적 커널 가중치를 적용함으로써 부분 가림 상황에서도 안정적으로 객체를 추적할 수 있는 실시간 mean-shift 추적 기법을 제안한다. 제안기법에서는 단일 커널을 사용하는 대신 여러 개의 서브 커널들로 구성된 커널을 사용하고, 각 서브 커널의 위치에 따른 지역적 커널 가중치를 적용한다. 기존의 멀티모드 커널 기반의 방법과 비교한 실험을 통하여 본 제안 방법이 보다 안정적으로 객체를 추적할 수 있음을 보였다. As the needs of real-time visual object tracking are increasing in various kinds of application fields such as surveillance, entertainment, etc., kernel-based mean-shift tracking has received more interests. One of major issues in kernel-based mean-shift tracking is to be robust under partial or full occlusion status. This paper presents a real-time mean-shift tracking which is robust in partial occlusion by applying multi-mode local kernel weight. In the proposed method, a kernel is divided into multiple sub-kernels and each sub-kernel has a kernel weight to be determined according to the location of the sub-kernel. The experimental results show that the proposed method is more stable than the previous methods with multi-mode kernels in partial occlusion circumstance.
