      • 전통 한지장판지의 특성에 과한 연구

        This study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of the Korean hand-made paper floor(Hanji- changphanji). Especially properties of the Hanji-changphanji and SP(sulfate pulp) changhanji were discussed. The results obtained from this study were summarized as follows; 1. Basis weight of Hanji-changphanji that 3-fold sheet is 338.5∼363.8g/m' (Max. difference of B.W : 25.3) and 4-fold sheet is 405.8 ∼ 445.5 g/m' (Max. difference of B.W: 39.78). The reason the base sheet was thinner is due to the calendering after adhesion. 2. Surface smoothness of SP-changphanji was excellent than Hanji - changphanji. The reason is due to the different raw materials and sheet formation methods used. The color of Hanji-changphanji is light stray yellow like the color of the outer peanut shell and smells sweet, but SP-changphanji is dark yellow and smells imitating. 3. Tensile strength of Hanji-changphanji has higher numerical value at lengthwise direction than widthwise direction. It's because that the movement of stock solution was directed in the front and behind than side to side by hand sheet forming, also, wet tensile strength showed. 4. The permeability of Hanji-changphanji is small at 3-fold sheet and 4-fold sheet permeability was 2-3 times of 3-fold sheet. Three-fold sheet is a little higher than 4-fold sheet in water repellency, but not great difference. Lengthwise direction (3-fold sheet) and machine direction(SP-changphanji) were higher than width at binder's water resistance. 5. The bursting strength was higher at widthwise direction is than lengthwise direction, and also tearing strength higher at widthwise direction. And folding endurance of lengthwise direction is higher than widthwise direction. The philling resistance by brush-sponge method results show 3-grade levels in I , II, III, IV samples and 4-grade levels in V, VI samples, and bleached samples are better than non-bleached samples. 6. The results observed by the SEM, It was controlled regulate absorption and moisture discharge by the capillary tube reaction that little vacant space of fiber. Development is possible in promoting health products from the beneficial infrared rays and bio-ceramics in changphanji.

        14-3-3 proteins are known to play a pivotal role in a diverse array of cellular events such as cell survival, apoptosis, and signal transduction. Numerous 14-3-3 ζ have been cloned and characterized from a host of eukaryotic organisms including human, plants, yeast, fruit fly and silkworm. However, no study on Spodoptera exigua 14-3-3ζ in conjunction with virus infection has so far been reported in insects. It appears that expression of Se14-3-3ζ was decreased starting 24 h post-SeNPV infection as SeNPV titers seemed to increase as evidenced by intense bands of SeNPV IAP3. Interestingly, confocal microscopic analysis revealed that Se14-3-3ζ is expressed at the apical side of the NPV-uninfected gut cells, whereas it was detected mainly in the nucleus of the NPV-infected cells. Thus, despite the biological significance of Se14-3-3ζ in S. exigua in conjunction with molecular interactions between SeNPV and S. exigua is unclear now, our data suggest that Se14-3-3 ζ protein plays a role to protect S. exigua from the infection or inhibit replication of SeNPV.

      • CD137-inducing factors from T cells and macrophages accelerate the destabilization of atherosclerotic plaques in hyperlipidemic mice

        <P>CD137 (4-1BB), a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, has been reported to be expressed in atherosclerotic plaques, and to promote lesion formation. However, the role of CD137 in mediating atherosclerotic plaque stability and the possible underlying molecular and cellular mechanisms are poorly understood. Here, apolipoprotein E-deficient (<I>ApoE</I><SUP>−/−</SUP>) and CD137-deficient <I>ApoE</I><SUP>−/−</SUP> (<I>ApoE</I><SUP>−/−</SUP>CD137<SUP>−/−</SUP>) mice fed a chow diet for 66 wk were used. CD137 induces plaque instability, which is characterized by increased plaque necrosis, decreased collagen content, decreased vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) content, and increased macrophage infiltration. CD137 also increases the infiltration of effector T (T<SUB>eff</SUB>) cells into plaque lesion sites, resulting in increased interferon-γ (IFN-γ) expression. Interestingly, T<SUB>eff</SUB>-cell-derived IFN-γ inhibits collagen synthesis in atherosclerotic plaques. Furthermore, CD137 activation increases the apoptosis of VSMCs, possibly by decreasing the antiapoptotic regulator, Bcl-2, and subsequently up-regulating cleaved caspase-3. In macrophages, activation of CD137 signaling boosted the oxidized low density lipoprotein-induced expression of matrix metalloproteinase 9 <I>via</I> the p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase and extracellular signal-regulated kinase1/2 signaling pathways.         3D Lithography using X-ray Exposure Devices Integrated with Electrostatic and Electrothermal Actuators

        We present a novel 3D fabrication method with single X-ray process utilizing an X-ray mask in which a micro-actuator is integrated. An X-ray absorber is electroplated on the shuttle mass driven by the integrated micro-actuator during deep X-ray exposures. 3D microstructures are revealed by development kinetics and modulated in-depth dose distribution in resist, usually PMMA. Fabrication of X-ray masks with integrated electrothermal xy-stage and electrostatic actuator is presented along with discussions on PMMA development characteristics. Both devices use $20-\mu\textrm{m}$-thick overhanging single crystal Si as a structural material and fabricated using deep reactive ion etching of silicon-on-insulator wafer, phosphorous diffusion, gold electroplating, and bulk micromachining process. In electrostatic devices, $10-\mu\textrm{m}-thick$ gold absorber on $1mm{\times}1mm$ Si shuttle mass is supported by $10-\mu\textrm{m}-wide$, 1-mm-long suspension beams and oscillated by comb electrodes during X-ray exposures. In electrothermal devices, gold absorber on 1.42 mm diameter shuttle mass is oscillated in x and y directions sequentially by thermal expansion caused by joule heating of the corresponding bent beam actuators. The fundamental frequency and amplitude of the electrostatic devices are around 3.6 kHz and $20\mu\textrm{m}$, respectively, for a dc bias of 100 V and an ac bias of 20 VP-P (peak-peak). Displacements in x and y directions of the electrothermal devices are both around $20{\;}\mu\textrm{m}$at 742 mW input power. S-shaped and conical shaped PMMA microstructures are demonstrated through X-ray experiments with the fabricated devices.

        Cloning and induction patterns of Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase in responses to immune elicitors and nucleopolyhedrovirus in the beet armyworm Spodoptera exigua

        Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is a metalloenzyme that catalyzes the dismutation of the superoxide anion to oxygen and hydrogen peroxide, and has accordingly been known to play an important role in reducing oxidative stresses induced by various stresses and infection. In an attempt to investigate whether it is involved in antiviral immune responses in insects, the full-length cDNA of SeCu/ZnSOD was obtained from the cDNA library of Spodoptera exigua. It is 1,008 bp long (excluding poly-A tail) with the open reading frame of 459 bp encoding 152 amino acids. Sequence analysis with BLAST shows identities to various insects such as Bombyx mori (80%), Hyphantria cunea (80%), Plutella xylostella (77%), Aedes aegypti (73%), Apis mellifera (71%), Lasius niger (70%), Drosophila melanogaster (69%) and Gryllotalpa orientalis (67%). During development, S. exigua expressed SeCu/ZnSOD predominantly at embryonic stage, pupal stage and adult female stage, whereas it was slightly expressed in larvae and adult male. In addition, SeCu/ZnSOD was highly expressed in the fat body, hemocyte, silk gland and Malpighian tubule, although the levels of SeCu/ZnSOD transcripts were very low in the gut. Furthermore, SeCu/ZnSOD mRNA was slightly induced in response to either lipopolysaccharide or laminarin. Finally, SeCu/ZnSOD mRNA was induced in carcass in response to S. exigua nucleopolyhedrovirus (SeNPV) infection, whereas it was not strikingly induced in the gut. The precise roles of SeCu/ZnSOD in antiviral immune response remains to be further studied.

      • 아말감에서 유출한 수은 종류의 연합 측정

        아말감의 주 단점은 수은의 노출이나 금지하면 치료비용은 추가될 것이다. 충전물에서 유출한 수은량에 근거하여 잠재적 ?머성을 평가해야 한느데 이 연구는 다른 극성 용매로 유출한 우너소수은과 무기수은을 가려내는 새로운 수은분류법으로 용량을 측정하였다. 파라핀 오일과 식염수 (0.9% NaCl)의 혼합물에 구형 아말감 펠렛을 배양하여 시험하였는데 수은유출은 아말감 표면적과 노출시간 모두에 정비례 하였다. 이 방법으로 아말감을 충전한 21 명에서 측정하였는데 흡수량은 동일인에서 구강내 공기중에서 통상법으로 측정한 3.7에 비하여 평균 4.8㎍/day로 높았다. 두 방법 모두 아말감 충전 치아수와 상당한 상관관계가 있었는데 이 용량은 음식으로 섭취하는 거의 같은 양의 수은과 함께 일일 섭취한계보다 훨씬 적응 양이다.

      • 글라스 아이오노머 시멘트의 경화 및 성숙에 대한 IR 및 NMR 분석

        글라스 아이오노머 시멘트는 경화할 때 알루미늄 및 칼슘이온에 의한 폴리카복실산의 교차결합과 실리케이트 상은 중요한 역할을 한다. 이 연구의 목적은 적외선 (IR) 분광기 및 고체상 핵자기공명 (NMR) 분광기를 사용하여 시멘트가 경화하는 동안의 구조적 변화를 조사하고 실리케이트가 경화에 어떤 역할을 하는가를 확인하는 것이다. 실험용 글라스 아이오노머 시멘트 1종, 글라스 아이오노머 시멘트 제품 2종 및 폴리카 복실레이트 시멘트 1종의 압축강도 변화를 측정하고 ^(29)Si 및 ^(27)Al NMR 분석을 하였다. 경화할 때 IR 분광에서 1,000 ㎝^(-1) 근처에 실리케이트 망의 특징적 띠는 시간이 경과함에 따라 고주파 쪽으로 변화하였다. 경화 후 분광은 수화 무정형 실리케이트 구조의 분광과 유사하였다. ^(27)Al NMR 분광 분석 결과 Al^(3+) 이온은 원래 글라스에서 산소이온과 사면체로 배열하였으나 경화 후 Al^(3+) 이온의 일부는 팔면체로 배열하여 Al 폴리아크릴레이트 겔을 형성하였다. 이 화학적 변동은 실리케이트 망의 구조적 변화를 반영하였다. 압축강도가 초기에 증가하는 것은 주로 폴리카복실레이트 겔 형성에서 깅니하였다. 그러나 교차결합에 의한 겔화가 끝난 후는 시간경과에 따라 실리케이트 망은 재형성하여 강도는 증가하였다.

      • 평면형 Bi-Sb 다중접합 열전변환기의 특성

        A planar Bi-Sb multijunction thermal converter for the precise measurements of ac voltage and current has been fabricated and its characteristics was discussed. In order to convert ac power into heat, a bifilar thin film Pt-heater, which could cancel its Thomson and Peltier effects, was prepared on the Si_(3)N_(4)/SiO_(2)/Si_(3)N_(4) diaphragm for the thermal isolation between heater and silicon substrate. To convert the temperature or the heat generated by the heater into dc voltage and current, hot and cold junctions of the Bi-Sb thermopile, which has a large difference in Seebeck coefficients, were formed on the dielectric diaphragm and the silicon substrate, respectively. The respective thermal sensitivity of the thermal converter with a bifilar heater was about 10.1 mV/mW and 14.8 mV/mW in the air and vacuum, which is about eight times higher than that of commercial 3-dimensional thermal converter. In the case of ac 2 V-input voltage, the ac-dc voltage transfer difference was about ±2.0 ppm, and in the case of ac 10 mA-input current, the ac-dc current transfer difference was about ± 0.6 ppm, in the frequency range from 10 Hz to 10 kHz.

      • 시멘트 피막도가 가공성 글라스-세라믹의 파절저항에 주는 영향

        목적 레진 콤포짓트 블럭에 접착한 가공성 글라스-세라믹 판의 파절저항을 2종의 시멘트에서 피막도를 함수로 결정하였다. 방법 세라믹 판을 인산아연 시멘트나 레진콤포짓트 시멘트를 사용하여 레진콤포짓트 블럭에 접착하였다. 인산아연 시멘트의 피막도는 33±8㎛이나 128±8㎛ 이었고 레진콤포짓트 시멘트의 피막도는 26±11㎛~297±48㎛ 이었다. 각 시멘트의 탄성계수를 결정하였으며 글라스-세라믹 판의 중앙에 구형의 강철 압흔자를 사용하여 파절하중을 얻었다. 통계분석은 Weibull 분포로 하였다. 결과 인산아연 시멘트로 접착한 글라스-세라믹 판에서 파절저항은 피막도와 무관하였다. 레진 콤포짓트 시멘트를 사용하였을때 파절저항은 점차 감소하였고 300㎛ 이상의 피막도에서 통계적으로 유의하였다. 레진콤포짓트 시멘트로 접착한 글라스-세라믹의 파절강도는 인산아연 시멘트에서 보다 약 75% 높았다. 이 차이는 레진시멘트가 세라믹판과 지지구조에 결합하기 때문이다. 의미 연구 결과에서 글라스-세라믹 압흔에 의한 파절저항은 생각한 만큼 시멘트 피막도에 따라 영향을 받지 않는다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
